Update 9 AM EDT: Update is also live on iOS now, so be sure to download it. Any of our Kindle friends want to chime in to let us know if they have the new version too?
Also, some reports of crashing going on when installing the newest update. This could be like Comic-Con where if you have an older device the game won’t run on it. It’s a ton of content that requires a lot of memory and space to run…..so older devices that can’t support it will crash.

Much like with Comic-Con we’ve gotten ourselves a little pre-launch update for Halloween. A new splash screen and icon but that’s it so far….
If this is like Comic-Con the “switch” should be flipped once #DrunkProgrammerKevin sobers up in the morning! (for Comic-Con it was about 7:30am). Once we see some new content we’ll get it up for you, but for now my suggestion is get some rest….you’ll want to be well rested for Ghostbusting in the morning! 🙂

Waking up to an update that I waited all night for is a good start to today! Love the icon and the splash screen and can’t wait for it to start. Didn’t think they could ever top Comic Con but looks like they may have! Thank you both for all you do with this site, it’s always so helpful and fun to read! 🙂

I just checked the store and there was an update. It’s showing 1.3.2.1, I’m on Android. I installed it but nothing new when I launch as of yet, other than the new splash screen and icon which are awesome!
I’m so excited for the Halloween event. I just hope I unlock Pink Brian soon. I am getting very impatient waiting for my last red candy to drop. I’m at 4/3 Blue 5/3 Purple and 3/4 Red. I don’t think I missed any days so I hope that last red one will drop for me today!!

Against my better judgement (aka without consulting the Addicts blog) I updated to 1.3.0 never reading any feedback first and now my game crashes instantly without even loading. I tired restarting, force close, uninstall/reinstall and nothing helped so I’m going to just wait and see if others are having the same issue, I’m hoping/guessing its a new release issue that TinyCo is already working on. As usual I will be relying on the addicts instead of stressing. Thank you for all do to make this game more fun.

I think this event will be amazing. I’m counting down the minutes on the east coast. IS IT 730 YET?!?!? I do hope they add a few costumes for the left over comic celebs though (hellboy, star trek cast, etc). Its gonna be a fun October!

I’m waiting on Muirel, and I wish I didn’t try to be organized and finish all district 5 and below quests before civic. Nearly finished Connie instead of a nearly finished stewie. It’s gonna be irritating if witch Connie is one of the first costumes.

Sorry to be way off topic here but how many colognes do I need to collect for Mayor Adam West and what do they exactly do? Back on topic….I can’t wait to jump right into Halloween in Quahog. I hope they’d wait a little longer, I don’t have many items left for Mayor West or the Fragrance bottles and Tom’s nearly finished his tasks, I wanted all previous tasks done before >.< haha, but I'm gonna continue with them anyway seeming hopefully Joe, Connie, Stewie, Brian, Lois, Tricia and Bonnie aren't involved any Halloween tasks JUST yet!

hopefully some of the new skins will be like iron stewie where you can unlock it without having the character yet. i am no where near done unlocking stewie by the time the event starts. also i don’t have the clams to get cleavland so hopefully i can still progress through the event without him (although i know it will help a lot if you have him)

I found this on the iOS store, but could not update. I had to delete the app and download again. The version on iOS shows as 1.2.2 while Android has 1.2.5. I wonder if someone has forgotten to bump up the version number on iOS causing it not to show up as an update.

Android actually has 1.3.2.1 and iOS 1.3.0. Got another version you need to load up. 😉

The version number seems to have corrected itself on iOS. For me, Android is still showing only 1.2.5 in the store. Maybe it’ll filter down to my account eventually.

Try restarting your Android device. That usually helps kick in updates. Then go back to Google Play. 😉

I just updated. All my characters are doing tasks, so they’ll be ready to go by launch time. Its going to be a challenge to get Stewie because I’m log jammed unlocking Tricia because you need to unlock the annoying Anime Peter outfit. I still need 2 eyes and 1 headband. I’ve heard nightmares of players saying it took them a month to get the eyes.

I ain’t afraid of no ghost. Halloween is my favorite holiday, I can’t wait for it to hit iOS and the event to go live! Everyone is walking around my town so I can get a head start on collecting items for the event and let everyone else work on Tom Tucker (just 11 more mics) and Adam West (just got started on him yesterday and the drops love me, I already have 2 cats!)! I hope the Comic Con characters can take part in the collecting, they haven’t been very useful since the event’s end.
