Also, some reports of crashing going on when installing the newest update. This could be like Comic-Con where if you have an older device the game won’t run on it. It’s a ton of content that requires a lot of memory and space to run…..so older devices that can’t support it will crash.

Hello There Clammers!
Much like with Comic-Con we’ve gotten ourselves a little pre-launch update for Halloween. A new splash screen and icon but that’s it so far….
If this is like Comic-Con the “switch” should be flipped once #DrunkProgrammerKevin sobers up in the morning! (for Comic-Con it was about 7:30am). Once we see some new content we’ll get it up for you, but for now my suggestion is get some rest….you’ll want to be well rested for Ghostbusting in the morning! 🙂

Since yesterday update lost the ability to go to friends towns so Im hoping it is not currently a needed thing for today’s event (hardclosed, uninstalled, reinstalled, put in game ticket yesterday and today explaining every detail possible lol) Have a feeling it will start in around 8 hours so will have all my characters available by then. Hint to the newer players DO NOT HAVE ANYONE ON LONG TASKS TODAY. Yes I know that seems like a duh thing but some people just don’t know (thinking tapped out players are used to a 24 hour building at the beginning of everyone of their events). Know a ton of players are saying there is no space but if you store a lot of items like olympic sized pool, Skate park or baseball field or any item that doesn’t drop coins or aren’t needed for quests do so. Reorganization of town should open enough space as well…that way you can go Ghostbusters crazy in a section of your town (yes I realize people that have bought every single building and multiple coin earning items since the beta still will be tight but for a majority of people it will help)

I love it! I’ve never had an iOS game keep my attention for so long (6 months now?). Not sure why everyone is so upset that they haven’t had time to unlock characters when Tiny Co releases a new event… I’m working on Tom Tucker and Mayor West right now… I’ll just put them on the backburner until the event is over. It’s not like they’re gonna leave when the event does. Bring it on!

Yeah whenever I see someone gripe about too much going on I get confused as well.. This game has a tinge of strategy needed. Most people that gripe about times skins/vehicles probably could of gotten them easy with a better strategy and odds are if they read the hints Bunny/Alissa give or the ones other people that comment on here leave it would be easy peasy. For those saying they didn’t have enough time to unlock “blank” yet before event…its okay..most times the event characters you need are the first few you ever unlock and when you dont need “blank” characters to do event things you can still put them on the tasks to unlock whatever next character. I unlocked 3 characters during the full moon event while completing needed task for the event and during this event if I have characters freed up I am definitely going to have them trying to collect the 17 remaining items needed for Mayor West

My October Donut budget and my Clam budget are doing battle. 2 days ago, I would have splurged on a big old donut pack for Treehouse of Horror and skimped on clams for the month, but now they’re bringing out Ghostbusters. I need all the Ghostbusters stuff and I’m prepared to shell out some premium bling to do it…

(This is just my opinion) I get really annoyed with tiny co it’s not suspenseful for any event I just find it annoying but I have to really give them credit here for updating it now so everyone can play Thursday morning that was super nice of them, cause I usually have to wait like an extra 10hrs from when I see a new event etc on this page posted, good work tiny co

Every time I’ve gotten close to $500,000 in in game cash, a new district opens/event starts and I’ve never been able to make it past the $500,000 mark. I’m at $499,500, so I’ll be over here, selfishly hoping that it triggers around noon EDT, when I should pass that bar 😉

First impressions… wish they wouldn’t update the splash screens until the update actually goes live. TinyCo needs to learn to under promise and over deliver (IE… not saying something will happen tomorrow and leave everyone hanging).

I got Kool-aid and Pink Brian, but I’m in no way ready for Tom Tucker OR Mayor West. I have a feeling that this is going to be a Stewie/Comic-con situation where I put unlocking them on pause to play the event as much as possible. I’m okay with that, but I could really use some quiet downtime to redesign my city! I’ve been waiting to redesign until I got my land/new buildings unlocked and it looks like I’m about to get a loooot more things to place…

I’m not ready. Even though I’ve been on it like mad I’m still falling behind with Stewie and Brian being spread so thin the last few weeks. I’m usually fairly patient but I tend to get to a point eventually when I just need to get past something.
Hopefully Tucker and West aren’t utilized heavily for the event because I’m not even close on Wee and it takes long tasks to get my last couple items for Tucker.

I updated, but I don’t see anything in my town resembling Halloween or ghosts. Is there a character who triggers it? Or am I just not at the right level? The opening screen shows Cleveland and Stewie and Brian, etc., and I’m nowhere near getting those characters.

Some people just love the negativity! I love what they’re doing with the events! It’s keeping the game lively and I’m happy to drop a few quid here and there if they’re making a high quality game. After all, they are a business and in it to make money. You don’t have to spend if you don’t want to!

To be honest, I very much understand the cash grab part. That is how they make their money. I am very much impressed at how fast they be adding stuff. They be adding more stuff in this game in a period compared to their other games. This practically made me quit Tiny Monster and Castle. I have been more enticed to spend $ here than on the other 2. As long as the game is interesting, I don’t mind spending every now and then.

I’m a bit confused about the part in the description where it says ‘for the first time, choose which decorations, characters, and buildings you want to craft’, could this mean that we choose which prizes we win, or something else? I know that the event hasn’t begun yet, but it’s got me thinking.
