Update 7:05PM EDT: Just got word from TinyCo that they ARE working on this as I write this. So hopefully it’ll be fixed soon. However, still send in those tickets so they know exactly who is impacted.
A note on a few other glitches popping up:
Fragrance Factory- If it’s still crashing for you report it to TinyCo it has to get escalated to engineering. It can (and will) be fixed, but is on a case by case basis. There won’t be one massive update that fixes it. So you MUST send in a ticket so they can fix it for you. They are working on an update to repair as many impacted as possible, just please still hang in there while they continue to focus on the issue and get it resolved. Allow them the proper time to get this done. You still need to send in a ticket as it does help a LOT with the troubleshooting process to see actual games that are experiencing it.
Facebook Accounts/Disappearing- IF you use Facebook to log on to TQFS and you’re having issues with your account disappearing and/or your friends disappearing. Contact TinyCo. They can fix this but you’ll need to contact them so they’ll know exactly who is impacted and they’ll be fixing these on a case by case basis as well. So you MUST send in a ticket so they can fix it for you.
Hello There Clammers!
Many of you are reporting that after you’ve cleared a certain number of Terror Dogs no new ones are spawning for you. The portal says they’re coming but they never appear.
If you’re experiencing this glitch contact TinyCo via your in-game messaging system (more details on how to here) and let them know you’re impacted as well. We’ve contact them about it as well, and as soon as we have any more info on it we’ll pass it right along.
For now be sure to report it to TinyCo so they know you’re impacted, and they can see how widespread it is.

The fragrance factory is pretty much the first building ever (besides the ones in the trees during events) that just disappears from the game completely. I don’t think it was supposed to disappear as it says ‘keep making cologne’ when you’re done. I definitely want it back. 😦

Ghosts you can find in the portal…they alternate with Dogs.

Hmmm yesterday we had a glitch of no dogs. Check your portal, does it show ghosts are supposed to appear? I’m still getting them in my town.

Tinyco asked me to send a crash log about the fragrance factory and to include my player id. Are they talking about what I use to log in or that long number in the corner of the menu screen?

Hey guys, my sister has been trying to help me get my game back. After i updated the game all of my progress(level 40) deleted…something about linking to current save and me and my bf take turns logging in and have been for a long time. Whatever change they made to the log in screen….literally right after i updated is when the error occured. He still has his but I am now at level one. I hope they can give me my progress back because i have participated in every event, gained a bunch of items and characters annndd spent lots of money on clams(just bought some hours before it vanished). I haven’t heard anything yet but I sure hope they at least contact me soon to let me know what to do.

I’m on fright level 2 and whenever I collect fright points, the progress bar in the bottom right corner of the screen isn’t showin any progress, the bar isn’t showing at all. I reported it in game but was wondering if this is a glitch? When I was on level 1 the bar would progress towards level 2 each time I collected FP’s.

The first level was less points required than 2nd. So the bar will fill at a slower pace. Give it time to start showing. 🙂

Freek: If you tap on the skull/fright point icon (lower right of main game screen,) there are 2 groups of numbers at the top of your screen: the first is your actual Fright Point Number & number needed until the next level. My regular screens’ bar doesn’t look like it’s moving either, but it is being reported correctly on this screen,

I am not having a problem with the terror dogs but the data it uses to now load TQFS. It used to use .2 mb average and now it uses 70 mb average. This is unacceptable and must be fixed immidiatly

It only used .2 my for me on district 9, Halloween district is not that big. I think it may be one building that they need to fix but not sure which one

What did it use for Con Event? Like minions active time? Districts are nothing. This is a fully animated and active event.

i only have 5 dogs total in my quahog (didn’t get ghostbuster peter yet, so i haven’t zapped any dogs). should i assume my game is glitched? don’t want to make the outfit and start the timers on anything if that’s the case

5 to start is normal. Once you can actually zap them and start the spawn going with GB Peter, then you’ll see the spawning timers kick in.

Possible or yours hit just as the glitch with them did so you only got two to start. No worries. Its when you get Ghostbuster Peter it matters on them spawning.

5 is the cap of terror dogs you can have out at any one time… at least for now.

In my game I haven’t had any candy drop, and I’m missing one still! I’m not sure if this is related to the glitch. I had a candy drop on Oct. 2, but yesterday I kept checking back and no candy! I would be extremely disappointed to miss out on Pink Brian.

I solved my problem with fragrance factory. It keep crashing with my Motorola moto E, android 4.4.4 kitkat. I try bluestacks and everything works fine. Now i`m The Wild Wild Mayor West Pt. 5 🙂

Also got slimmer on my iOS just now. Started him on my droid yestersay 🙂
Now my game loads with no issues and I can continue as normal however when I visit friends, it keeps asking me to login with facebook even though I am logged in and my town is at the proper level. I tap the login and I get my neighbors back but as soon as I close the game and come back I need to login again when visiting friends. I already sent tiny co an in game msg

My zoom isn’t working now in the game and I’m having a very difficult time tapping on buildings. I know it’s not my phone since I typed this comment on my phone …. Lol !!!
I cannot send an in game msg as tapping on the menu key doesn’t work either. I don’t want to re install yet since I’m having that Facebook login issue and I don’t want to jeopardize my progress so far with halloween

The glitch is still there. Though for me the hounds only do not spawn while Ghostbuster Peter is banishing terror hounds. If he isnt doing that action they spawn fine. I tried to report this much in game yesterday but I only recieved an useless nonsense robotic reply where they advised I should get Ghostbuster costume and such while I clearly stated I have it already, in my report. 😦
For now I advise if Peter is nearly finished banishing and your next spawn is terror hound do not start the next banishing with Peter again before the hound spawns.

Pay no mind to the auto report. Its the weekend and tech help is very light. They’re aware and most players are stating it’s resolving as they worked overnight on it.

I actually sent tiny co 3 in game tickets about the facebook logging in issue because my sisters game has disappeared and that was the only way she would sign in to the game. She sent them a message as well. They only responded with a automatic reply about the kool-aid man event since I mentioned that she missed out on it in the msg. I replied that I needed help finding her game and her progress and they haven’t responded four over for days now. I’m really sad cuz I fear that her game is just gone now =( It’s also unfortunate because she had just purchased 600 clams for the event, but never got the chance to participate in it. I told them this as well.

Hang in there. This is not an easy fix. They need time on it. Also, being the weekend factors in limited staff. They’re aware of issue but need proper time to take care of everyone. Just depends how many are in line in front of you.

I just bought my 4th batch. I know the 3rd time there was a “delay” and I had to wait a couple minutes for it to sync up to google play market. But once in the market it went quick.
Try force close app and restart device.

So the game just crashes every minute or 2. I sent a report this afternoon and haven’t heard back. I clear stuff, it crashes and I have to do it again… only for it to crash. iPad3 iOS7… too bad I spent so much on this game and won’t get anything near worth what the hassle is worth.

I updated to iOS8 and no more crashes… now there are no ghosts anymore though and nothing comes out of the portal when the timer hit zero. Unless the dogs appear somewhere random? I turned it on this morning to 3 or 4 ghosts and in 6 hours no more have come out. Have you heard of that happening? Maybe I’ll reinstall the game…….. again. Ugh

Ya, I tried the basic troubleshooting tips you’ve posted in the past (I know how to use the search bar yay!) but it’s still missing. I had it earlier today (Sat) so maybe it was removed when they patched a glitch?

K so I just got done with Stewie’s task and checked. Stuff his diaper in my game shows he still drops them. The only time it usually goes away is if you earned them all. I would definitely say if you still need them and task is gone, TinyCo does need to be alerted if it went missing from your game.

There was a 4th one? Only had Joe, Meg and Bryan for the Sausage. I only finished the mansion 2 days ago. But it has always only been those 3 to drop the sausage since I was starting to unlock the mayor..

Not a big fan of the warehouse costing 7500 coins (it’s not about the amount) and them taking the building away… They said the fragrances play a role later in the quest line so I hope we get the building back. I loved the look and had set up a whole warehouse district that included the s&s&more.

I had unlocked Ghostbuster Peter and zapped a few Terror Dogs when I noticed this same glitch. With 2 remaining, I decided to stop zapping them for a moment and send Peter on a different task (Checking Ghost Database) to see if that helped, and a new Terror Dog did indeed spawn at the timer’s end.
Not sure if this was a fluke, or that TC had fixed the issue, but I wanted to share to see if it might help others…

Just received a reply from Tiny Co saying they’ve pushed a patch that should fix this problem, but you may need to restart your device for it to take effect.

How often are they supposed to spawn? Like one every hour or two or three? And nine times out of ten, when I check my portal it tells me when the next ghosts are going to arrive. I almost never see a countdown for the dogs. I’ll be reporting it, but do you know a specific spawn rate?

I can’t get GB Peter because a certain Hispanic maid keeps telling me Peter needs to be Level 1 to start the quest, my Peter is Level 20!
Also I haven’t got Pink Brian yet because my candy hasn’t appeared today (and several other random days), I’ve searched every inch of my town and it’s not there! I only needed 1 red candy (64 million dollar bar?)!

It is not the Character Level it is notating. It is the event level. Does your game show in the bottom right corner on the Halloween icon that you are on Level 1>

I rushed the release of the terror dogs in my town 3 times and finally 3 terror dogs were released from the portal. Hopefully it’s fixed and they will keep spawning on their own 😄 thanks for all the great info Alissa and Bunny, I’d be lost without this site. Happy zapping everyone 😊

i just unlocked peter and started on my first dog but i have only had 5 max in my town since they showed up. i am just going to assume that i have the glitch and report it since everyone seems to agree 6 is the max and i never got more than 5.
at least they have some time to fix it as i zap the first 5 of them…

6 max at level 1. This will increase with your soul level (which you upgrade with FP and can only upgrade once a week)

Yes I am affected. I have no dogs left in my town after I have cleared the first 6 :(. Just when I thought it was going so well. Don’t think I will get the weekly challenge completed. I have reported it but fear now it’s the weekend nothing will be done until Monday when I will only have a few hours left to zap 6 more!!!

If there is a glitch like this and it’s delaying is getting the necessary items to unlock Diane, then they should extend Diane’s departure another day or two 🙂 (wishful thinking lol !!!)

This is happening to me. It says more terror dogs are coming out, but never do. I am also randomly collecting items for Stewie’s sexy party outfit for some reason. I’m assuming that this is also a glitch.

Yes, the stuff for stewie’s party is a texture glitch, they’re working on fixing it…but issues like the Terror Dogs not spawning are taking priority at the moment 🙂
