Hello There Clammers!
Halloween has arrived in Quahog! And Peter, in typical Peter fashion, has decided to tick off the dead. In doing so Peter accidentally opens a dark portal in the Quahog cemetery and unleashes all manner of ghosts and goblins on the city…your job is to help round up these ghost, goblins and ghouls!
Of course TinyCo has armed you with a fun questline to help rid the dead of Quahog (and in some cases raise it)! By following along with the questline you’ll learn the ins and outs of how to succeed at Halloween, and send the dead packing!

Repair the Haunted House- Costs 50 Spirit Vials and takes 8hrs

At this point, if you’re on Android, you will start the Slimer quest…
Clear Slimer 3 Times- Tap Slimer to Clear him. Remember he disappears quickly so try to find him as fast as you can when he appears
Completed Task Earns 25 Spirit Vials 5 Fright Points
After you complete this quest Slimer will still appear in your town every 8hrs for 2 minutes. After those 2 minutes he’ll escape and you won’t get another change for 8 more hrs.

Learn How to Use the Witch’s Cauldron- Tap ‘Go’ to find out how to use the Cauldron
Brew A Scarecrow in the Witch’s Cauldron- Collect 1 Terror Dog Bone and 50 Vials to craft the Scarecrow in the Cauldon.
Completed Task Earns 75 Spirit Vials 5 Fright Points
At this point you’ll see the Who Ya Gonna Call quest popup. This will not stall progress of the main (Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost) questline, it will run alongside it.

15 Ghost Dusters (uncommon): Earned by: Make Quagmire Order New Toys OR Make Peter Dig Through Attic OR Make Jerome Borrow a Halloween Costume OR Get From Macabre Curiosities.
15 Fried Eggs (rare): Earned By: Get from Clearing Gray Ghosts OR Make Lois Clean Up Peter’s Mess OR Get from BoppityBob’s Joke Shop
10 Psychic Cards (Rare): Earned by: Make Chris Take Remedial Shapes Class OR Make Bruce Hold a Seance OR Make Bonnie Watch “Block Island Medium” OR Get from Madame Google’s Fortunes

Upgrade Portal- Can only do this once a week…so will have to wait until next week to be completed.
And that, my friends, is where the main questline ends for week 1. We’ll pick the main questline back up once I can upgrade my dang portal! (wait..that sounds wrong…)
Also note that the Fiscal Fright questline will run alongside this throughout the entire event. This is basically telling you to upgrade to the next level, but here’s the first few…

So if I understand correctly. If you have reached Fright Level 2 before the quest “I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost Pt. 9”. you have to wait to complete the part of upgrading the Portel when you have 1000 points, basically level 3???
If you are level 2, should the quest complete itself?

No. You can’t upgrade to level 2 until you upgrade via the portal. And you can only upgrade the portal once a week. So you can’t complete Pt. 9 until later this week when the timer counts down to the next upgrade.

You’re at level 2 FP wise, but you haven’t actually upgraded your portal. You can only “officially” upgrade your level via the portal, and that can only be done once a week.

If you are on an Apple product and want the slimer quest you can sign on once from an android device. Like robocop joe it will continue once you go back to your iOS device.

Idk if it’s bevause I’m on and old iPhone and it’s so small I can’t see it but I’m on my 4 the terror dog and I listened to you bunny when you said don’t sig up Diane yet you said to keep collecting bones but I feel like duh I don’t see anything I can’t brew the ball or the chomp dudes ?? Ok bunny I’m sorry I feel like a duh unfortunately my phone is so small for my eyeballs lol I took a screen shot after I clicked on the cauldron and I zoomed in and saw all these little jars and in the one it has bones in it I assume that’s the terror dog bones I need like 10 to get the electricity ball and etc , so I should get the ball and the zombies then dig up Diane ? Thank you so much for your help ! I feel so stupid I had so much going on at one time I was confused !!

Two strategies you can do…either work well. Either collect all 30 bones you’ll need to do both the ball and zombie before you dig her up, then craft them once she’s up. OR craft both before you dig her up and then once she’s done she’s done. Either one works 🙂

Is there a reason why the portal upgrade isn’t showing yet? I managed to get to fright level 2 by a mixutre of events and buying the rare drop buyings (for ghostbuster peter) but clicking on the 2 button next to the portal when the timer was at 0 hasn’t done antything. Will this upgrade properly when I have done the main peter questline?

The fright point level is completely separate from portal. You can only upgrade portal once a week. Just check the timer on it and it will tell you when you can upgrade.

Is portal level 2 ready yet? as I got to fright level 2 through a mixture of quests and getting the rare item buildings (that drop items for ghostbuster peter) but after clicking nothing has happened. I assume it only upgrades when you have done all the ghostbuster peter storyline quests?

or would that cause me issues in the future

Or you can even wait til theyre created then dig her up. They’ll still count. Up to you. Just a lot enough time depending on how fast you get bones.

I thought i was gonna run into a similar problem, i was out of dogs to “bust”, when peter waS clearing the final dog. The next ghoul that was supposed to spawn from the portal, was ghost. But, like 20 seconds after busting the last dog, new dogs just spawned in my town, that was not triggered by the portal. So, this could also happen to you as well. I’m on an android, btw.

I don’t really see much point rushing through things as it always seems long winded at the beginning but gets a lot easier later, however I’m slightly concerned how long the logo will will wait to start. I know the timer starts when it’s open but surely a weekly task will have a limit and I’m struggling with last bits for peter.
Also and I hope this makes sense, it seems a couple of quests require clearing terror dogs. If you had 2 quests running would 1 terror dog count toward both quests. For example the logo and part 7 ‘ain’t afraid of no Ghost’.

Where do you actually click on the ghostbuster logo to start the weekly prize quest? I just got GB Peter and he is zapping his first dog, I also went into the event page on the final tab showing the logo but no timer or pop up was there saying collect before xx to get this item. How does it start?

It pops up shortly after you start zapping dogs. Just keep an eye out for the task to trigger. If already triggered, it will show in your task bar.

Same here. I have everything else required, but after a good first day, nobody dropped any cards at all yesterday so I’m still on 4/10. With that, the initial delay to Kindle, and lots of people talking about their GB Peter I was beginning to feel I was falling behind and starting to panic about missing the first weekly task. Glad to know there are others in a similar position, it makes me feel I’m not so far behind after all.

What do you mean? They’re not on level 2. They’re available right now.
All you need to focus on is getting Ghostbuster Peter unlocked. HE helps gets bones which are big part of her unlock.

Not sure if I missed this in a post or comment but Slimer also drops terror dog bones. I’m assuming this means he will drop the future ‘jarred ghost items’ as well. My fragrance factory works on my tablet as well. Thats pretty much it for now 🙂 This event is awesome.
Actually, I will say this: I have waaaaayyyy too many spirit vials with nothing to spend them on (because of the 700 clam item) but I’m sure that will be remedied with sweet ass things to come.

I noticed an oddity where, if you’ve collected all the required items for Peter’s Ghostbusters costume but are missing spirit vials, it will cost you (at least?) 100 clams to “Buy it now!” It didn’t decrease as I got closer; at three vials away it was still asking for 100 clams. A friend playing beside me was 97 vials away, and the game wanted 100 clams too. As soon as I collected the last vials and started the costume creation I could speed it up for only 2 clams.

It is because it will charge as if u were spending clams To buy all spirit vials. So if u use the clams u will still have all the vials u collected e.g say u have 385 spirit vials and decide to finish gb peter with clams u will still have 385 spirit vials left the other items like eggs and tarot cards will be taken tho.

I’me noticed this with other costume unlocks. As Colin said, the clam amount is not partial, but for the entire currency amount for that unlock.

Looks like I am suffering from a lack of terror dogs as well. About an hour ago the timer said 50m till the next one spawns, but nada. That seriously impacts my chances to finish the challenge on time…

Tiny co should reconsider the 5 day timer for Diane for those who acidentally rebuilt her before we all knew we would lose her if we don’t unlock her after 5 days.

Just wanted to say thanks for all you’re great work, I love this site! I’ve been a long time lurker and never posted as you’ve always already answered so many questions that I’ve had! I don’t like to be a moaner cos I know everyone – tinyco and yourselves work hard.
I just wondered if anyone else has reported a similar problem to the one Patrick was describing. I’ve got the same issue, I’ve unlocked GB Peter have currently got 2 terror dogs in my town but no new ones are spawning, I watched the countdown timer in portal go down to zero on two occasions when it said 1 terror dog would spawn but nothing happened. I’ve left it closed my game cleared cache and still nothing. As I’m on the 3 day challenge am getting a little worried. I sent a ticket to tinyco but have never had a reply in the past as they must get thousands so am not holding my breath here either. Just wondered if you had any insight into this.

As far as the Dog glitch….a LOT of players are reporting this at the moment. Contact TinyCo via the game so they know you’re impacted too. We’ve also reached out to them, and as soon as we hear anything on it we will pass it along 🙂

Well on the way to finishing this weeks stuff. Got the peter suit overnight & he’s blasting away at dogs now. That along with a pet cemetery & the fact that you can get Slimers on iPhones if you activate the quest on an Android & the 30 bones seems entirely realistic. So I went ahead & started unearthing Diane. Should be nearly done by the end of the weekend. (I probably owe a partial apology for my what the hell kvetch about the android only Slimers.)

I opened the game on my “droid” and slimmer quest showed up. Went back to my iPhone and sure enough a double WOOHOO !!!! Slimmer was there on my iOS. Tapped him (collected 1 / 3 ) for quest and slimmer gave me 30 vials which put me over 500 and I was able to unlock GB Peter WOOHOO
So I am confirming for you gals that Yes slimmer is available in iOS if you start his quest on a “droid”.

FYI, Slimers appear consistently first time you log in after noon, 8 p.m., 4 a.m. EDT & yes on the iPhone.

It was strange for me. I was able to use my brother’s Android tablet to unlock the Slimer task this weekend. He appeared quickly, and I tapped him once under Android. Then I went back to my iPad shortly thereafter. He appeared there too, and I tapped him again for 2 out of the 3 needed.
Then later I opened the game on my iPad and it told me that the task was complete, even though I don’t think I ever tapped on him a third time.

I started the Slimer quest on Android but after tapping him the first time the quest disappeared so emailed tinyco.
Haven’t checked my tablet since I have been out most of the weekend, but last night Slimer started spawning on my iphone. Got 2 terror dog bones from him so far…

I’m having trouble with my game saving progress. If I send characters on tasks and then close the app (always through ollie asking if I want to leave) then return later to collect, I lose all that progress. I still seem to get the drops I lost before, but it means i’m losing out on time. (this has also only started happening since the event started).
Just thought I’d let you guys know.

Thanks for the update, ladies. I think the terror dog zapping always drops a bone, though. It has for 8 straight zappings for me, anyway. The only thing that’s been a “chance” of a bone dropping has been the haunted house.
Now we just need to figure out how the portal determines which creature it will release next, and how it determines the time until the release. I’ve had the times until the next release be all over the map, and ghosts being released while the timer was still hours from reaching zero.

I don’t know if this happens to anyone else but u guys should check if it does is that I have peter and Lois do the task that drop vials and FP, now the vials I do get but the FP didn’t count towards my total. I’m still waiting on the others to finish with their 24hr task to see if they have this problems too.

I’m really enjoying this event ,I just unlocked GB Peter and he’s zapping those dogs,I can see myself having to wake up every 2hrs to make sure I can collect enough bone jars though but that’s all part of the fun.

I bought the last 100 clams i needed to get cleveland based solely on the post TC made about being a MAJOR part of this event. i’m a little disappointed he doesn’t even have a vial earning task and has no part so far. it seems he will get a ghostbuster outfit later but can we at least get a vial earning task until then. 400 clams was a lot to spend that i did not really have and hope he becomes useful like TC posted. (well like was reported here from a post TC made elsewhere)

I almost have to wonder if there isn’t something funny going on.
I have had card drop regularly, heck I got 2 out of my last round of actions (Bonnie literally NEVER drops ANYTHING, I think she resents all the time I keep her on the pole…)
I wonder if there is some external issue with the drop rates being so varied. there might be something in how each different device generates its random numbers, making the same drop rate appear different across many different systems and installations.
Or something equally out of left field.

Any idea about how many Terror dogs can be out at once? I haven’t unlocked GB Peter yet so I want to be ready for that 3-day challenge.

anyone else having a problem with the ghost dusters, 2 just dropped for me but my total collected only increased by 1, I was looking at my total this morning and was like “I swear I got more then that”

For some reason no terror dogs are spawning. I have seen them available on the portal, I have cleared 5 already, but have no more left to clear. Is this a known problem? I have contacted them but no reply either. How am I to complete the 3 day quest if no new terror dogs spawn? I’m on the last one now and no more left in the town.

6 in the town at once is the max, so if you’re maxed no more will spawn

He is saying that no more are spawning once he has cleared the terror dogs, not when he is maxed… you need a different cut and paste 🙂 I am having the same problem… hopefully it will resolve itself so I can renew my War on Terror (dogs)

Report it to TinyCo so they’re aware of it direct from your games. We’ve alerted them as well..hopefully it’s fixed soon.

It happens to me too. :S I am not sure but I am guessing if Peter is zapping one somehow they dont spawn … not sure though since I only unlocked GP and I was zapping straight and only just now run out of dogs. :p

Bunny, if we can only lvl up to 2 for now how were u able to know the rewards u’ll get after lvl 3,4, and so on? Did tinyco give u guys the heads up? If that’s the case then u guys and tinyco are pretty tight huh?

I think I screwed up already. I think I missed out on the logo because I’m at part seven. And I unlocked Diane before GB Peter was finished. I’m guessing that means unless I spend clams I won’t be able to get the car?

Did you get the popup for the Logo? If you didn’t get it it didn’t trigger yet…It won’t trigger until after you have Ghostbuster Peter.

I thought I did I have a task with the ghost in no symbol. But it’s to zap 5 dogs and another. I guess I misread the post I thought it came before part 7. I haven’t finished GB Peter SoI should be ok then?

I busted my behind unlocking GB Peter after falling for TinyCo’s trick and unlocking Diane and now I find out each terror dog takes 2 hours! Ugh!

I didn’t start the quest with Diane yet. Since I didn’t see anything here about it, should I wait until I have Ghostbuster Peter or finish a certain quest line before doing this?

Event looks promising. I unlocked GB Peter a few hours ago and a lot faster then I expected. I have now got 4 terror bone jars so I reckon by Wednesday I’ll have enough to get the items for diane which I have not dug up. That’s all thanks to this great site. If it weren’t for I probably would have jumped the gun and tried to unlock everything too early. Thanks girls 🙂

That is odd that you did not see the pop up in the questline for him. What tasks, if any, do you still have open in your task menu?
