This is it Clammers. The last day of the Halloween Event. Just wanted to give you a quick heads up on all the items that will be going with the Ghostbuster’s Quahog Event so you can get your last minute shopping in.
So the final hours are ticking away and you are just not sure what to do? Well here are some tips for you to wind down the Event.
First off, according to the in game timer (FP icon lower right side) …
It looks as though our event will be winding down around 2PM PDT. You can always tap on yours to verify the amount of time.
BUILDINGS:
This Event has brought in a LOT of cool new buildings, so make sure you go through the entire list in the event Shopping Cart and grab any that you want to add to the design of your town.
DECORATIONS:
For myself, I know that I want to completely redesign my town once this is all over. The cool new NUKE option they just added will help with that. I also like to add decorations to give an overall theme to my town design. There a lot of really cool looking bushes and trees with this Event, so you may want to snag a handful for your town. (Those Poisonous Plants are great filler.)
CHARACTERS:
Remember many cool Characters were brought into this game. Some won, brewed, or bought. Make sure you have all YOU want in the game before they are gone.
MYSTERY BOXES:
There are currently 3 still in the game. 2 Clam purchase and 1 Spirit Vials. So make sure you take any last minute chances at the items in there if you wanted them.
GET FREE CLAMS!!!
If you have already bought everything, exchanged everything, and are just waiting to pass the time…then why not take a few Stink Bombs to those pesky lil Trick or Treaters. They may be worth some extra Clams here and there to add to your game. Also, if you have not leveled up to the MAX on your FP…Remember the Fiscal Fright quests pay out Clams for each FP Level hit. 1 per Level. So Level 8 gives you 8 Clams for completing it.
WITCH’S CAULDRON:
Lots of cool items in the Cauldron for you to make. So get the ones you want brewed and into your storage before they’re no longer available. Also, if you have extras…exchange them out to get more Spirit Vials to help you get more decorations and buildings if you want.
STAY PUFT:
Make sure you take any last minute runs BEFORE the timer goes out on this one so you get those last Spirit Vials and Marshmallow Goop you need.
TASKS:
The main questlines will be going when the event does, so clear up those you have remaining while you can. Make room for new ones that you may not have seen yet and get them completed before they are gone if you’d like.

Wow how lame =\ I wasn’t going to finish the Freddy questline in time to get the FrankenRupert box, so I did what you guys said and just used up all my vials on random things I already had. Now that the event is over and it reloaded back to normal, I see that they’re letting us use the FrankenRupert box, but now I have no vials of course.

I got everything i wanted.. except that i wpuld have loved an EASIER way to CONVERT HUNDREDS (or maybe thousands) of ingredients…
just a panic “CONVERT ALL INGREDIENTS TO VIALS ” button…
because a few minutes before i realized i may want to spend those ingredients->vials to make a city full of Davids… just for the sake of it…

Boy they don’t screw around, dot of 5:00 I was busy trying to spend the last vials and it crashed out, took five minutes to come back, and boom event over. Got stuck with 2000 vials I was going to spend on decos – took so long to sell off my stuff I ran out of time to buy!

Ugh I caved last second and bought Jason, Alien & Predator lol except I was ONE clam short ! So had to buy an additional $2 worth -_-“”” I tried rebooting several times to see if the guy would pop up that offers the 2 clams but he didn’t .. At least u get 100 back for unlocking all 4 characters

YAY, I was able to get Alien at the very last minute!!! I was sitting at 198 Clams and today I bombed the Treaters because I was tried of converting stuff into Vials and got 1 more Clam. Being1 Clam away I was still hoping to get that last Maracas to get PB&J Brian to then unlock Stewie and 2 more shots to get it at 1PM having both Brian and Peter working on it. Peter didn’t get it but with Brian being my last shot did!
Lucky for me, it takes PB&J Brian only takes 10 minutes to create and not hours. After doing that I had Brian do the 12 hour task to unlock Stewie and decided to fast forward through it, which cost 24 Clams and put me back to 175 Clams. I then unlocked Stewie, which gave me 25 Clams for a total of 200 allowing my just enough to buy Alien. 🙂
With the 12 bonus bombs I was able to get 1 Clam to boot!

I lost my Consuela Dia de los Muertos outfit because it’s not in my inventory. I know I can’t put it on until I unlock Consuela but it should stay in my inventory right?? Please help.

To anyone who still has vials left there seems to be a glitch when trading/brewing items for vials ie. 5 marshmallow for 100 vials when you do it will say the item has been brewed to your inventory but there shouldn’t be anything in inventory since its just for vials but if u go into inventory there will be items brewed for free! I got a bunch of tombstones for trading in my talons a bunch of yellow leaves etc.. So you get the 100 vials + a free item. Thx glitch 😉 🙂

With the help of $4.99 in clams, i sped up that portal numerous times as well as sped up the those two busting terror dogs! Finally got Weed and after selling vials, i got Stewie mystery box, Grim Reaper, Slimer Deco for brewing everything at least once and the Stay Puft Portal! My job is done! Man, i cut it close without spending alot in clams! I definitely enjoyed it! On one note tho, i did not spend clams on Alien but i am ok with that! Wish i could of but this event still kicked butt!!! No complaints here but i will be glad to tell those Trick or treaters “Ghostavista Baby!” 😉 I think my bone got stronger from this event!! ROFLMAO!!

Doggonne it! I’m at 14,602 vials & don’t think I’ll make Mr Weed! ah!!! I’m always just *slightly* behind on these things!
Now, do I “cash out” & forget about Mr Weed or do I try to figure out a way to get the rest of those vials???

*phew*! Thanks to the “cash out” brewing your extra launchers & eyeballs, etc, I was able to get Mr Weed, the Red hotel, & a portal from the franken mystery box. I was in the middle of brewing a 2nd mystery box when time ran out & they kicked me out (I thought it was gonna end at 3pm PST but it was 2. glad I was online sending peter on 1 minute tasks!).
not everything I wanted (darned timed diane without notice!) but pretty darn close. & made a boatload of clams in the process!! overall, not a bad event!

I seen something new on the today. If you move something, in the lower left hand corner there’s a nuke symbol. What could it be, what could it do? I don’t want to try it just in cases it does something I don’t want it to do.

so yeah as many others, i’ve bought and brewed everything i wanted. even got multiples of some stuff in case i can design something in the future. so i’ll probably not be brewing any extra ingredients for vials anymore as there isn’t anything else i want to buy with the vials.
i did notice though, the human remains bin either has a glitch or a limit. i’ve bought 4 but it only shows 2 in my inventory. i even tried to display them in case it was just a gltich with the numbering but nope, i only have 2. its not the end of the world but still odd.

A similar thing happened to me with trees not showing up in inventory. What probably happened is that you had the 2 items in your inventory and tried to buy 2 more, but it actually placed the 2 you already had and when you placed them back into inventory instead of showing 4 you only had 2 because you did not really buy the 2 additional items. If fright points do not drop when you buy an item, then it came from your inventory. Once you have placed all of that particular item in your inventory then you can start buying duplicates again. This was a real PIA placing all of my trees and bushes before being able to buy new ones but it worked.

ah ha….i tried that and you’re right!! i ended up buying 8 human bins all told but every time i went to buy some..the first ones places were always taken from my inventory….so that explains that thanks!!! 🙂

Yeah I ended up missing out on the last 2. Not that a big a deal. Wish I knew the Frankenstein box was hanging around. I was trying to blow thru my stuff at the last second and bought a few decorations I didn’t really want. Now I am 199 vials short of a box.

Finished everything. Bought multiples of all event stuff, maxed out the mystery boxes… Yet, I still have 80,000 spirit vials. I have 20 of each bush and tree… I guess I’ll just loose those vials…

2. I would give all my vials for the headless horseman to come to life and kill all the trick or treaters
Although I may sound displeased, I’m not. I loved this event and the game I can’t wait until the next events, especially Christmas. I’ve been watching the Christmas episodes hoping for psycho Lois in the Christmas tree being shot down with various tranquilizers… Or joe chasing the grinch! I can’t wait to see what they do!

I would say the only somewhat let down in this event oppossed to previous ones is the final gift box for vials doesn’t offer a chance at clams. I completely understand that eith their system of eliminating almost every item as you win it kinda takes that option off the table but it was a cool feature to burn off extra event currency that you killed yourself getting (I mean if you already bought everything anyway at least you didn’t care about duplicates). Anyway tried to make an Army of Clowns..but ran out of ingredients at 9. Have 10 giant reaper statues and still have 15k to burn in four hours….hmmm what random item to load up on…

This is a long one..I started typing a short note and it kept flowing!
Great great,event. Had fun at almost every turn. I am only sorry I didnt get the Ecto-1, and Consuella’s stuff…. I missed Zuul’s portal because of the issues with the stupid trick or treater quest starting while I had no stink bombs and long drop times.
First, does anything happen if you get a check mark on every item (exchanges included) in the witch’s caldron? I already have Slimer from brewing everything but the exchanges.
Second, is there a way to get the Nightmare portal? it is the coolest one, but not available through Frankenstein Rupert Mystery Box
Third, I got the Big Skull ‘McGee’ (it’s name was in the help files), I love it. I am a huge Dead-head, and would love to see some roses to compliment my skull to honor my favorite band, the Grateful Dead. Maybe for his birthday next year they can bring Jerry Garcia back in as a ghost!
Fourth, I was disappointed that the Consuella Mystery Box was timed and ended before the event. At the time it ended, I was saving for everything else and could not waste vials on her. It would have been great to be able to get the costumes and tasks for her.
Fifth, I dont see the new tabs you are referring to on the inventory. Maybe that is iPhone only? I am on android, I have always had several tabs along the bottom. (Characters, Building, Decos, Featured, and sometimes, Event)
Last, I did have an issue, at least three weeks ago, where a little over 30 clams disappeared, and I sent TinyCo several in-game emails, but have not gotten any response. They send me a form response once saying they would get back. They are likely slammed, but before sending out any more events, they should catch up and fix any issues still out there. (I always also send them bug reports, suggestions, etc.)
I really enjoyed the event a lot, and even as a Freemium player I got a lot of what I wanted. Sorry about all those people who got snagged cheating with game hacks, (crime does not pay!) but I have been able to enjoy this game without ripping off the company. And, if anything, the game has made me more aware of American Dad, Comicon, Cleaveland show, and other details of Family Guy that are incorporated in game that make me watch it even more. So Fox is making out as well.
There are still tons more characters that we can see in the game, (Herbert’s Dog) and skins (would love to see hairless, ‘shaved Brian’ ) so I would bet there is a lot more to come!

As I stated in the post, it will take time to incorporate them into all games. What you currently have been seeing is the MENU and not your Inventory. They are two totally separate locations.
You need to keep an eye out on response, whether in game or via email to make sure you respond to ANY email they send. Even the auto ones. If you still have an open issue, contact them again. The best way is ALWAYS via your in game menu, help, contact.

Bunny, I check every day to see if they have responded to my email, and I have sent them at least 10 emails about it, in game. (on the same thread.) Do I need to close the ingame contact, and start a new one? I got a reply about two weeks ago that said something to the effect “we are busy and will get back to you, if you need us to. If your problem is gone, close the email, if not, reply to this message and let us know if we can help you” . Of course, I replied. Over the next two weeks, many times. Still no other response at all.

My suggestion is to allow them time to respond. If you are messaging them through your game (which is the best method) watch there for a response. If you are emailing them help@tinyco.com, watch your spam/junk filters to ensure nothing gets stuck there. Outside of that…just wait. If you flood them with emails, it causes more of a delay as it adds to the amount they have to sift through. Give them a week from the last time you emailed them to get a response. If nothing, use the very same email to ask for a follow up.

I feel your pain on Zuul’s Portal and Ecto-1… that’s the only thing I missed out on with this event for the exact reasons you mentioned. Otherwise, I’m very, very happy. (Also didn’t get any of the Clam based prizes or Frankenstein Box rewards, but I don’t have the thousands and thousands of vials left over that other people did).

It means that during every event they have had so far, if you started building something…it would still complete AFTER the event ended. 🙂

Thanks for that. Sad for me, that the game update came after cashing in smores for vials and buying a mystery box. I got the Stewie mystery box, placed it and boom… errors and connection issues… no Stewie, no vials back.

After Tinyco have sorted the flag that I received in error yesterday, I’ve suddenly had 1000 clams added to my account. I’ve not bought any since last week and you can’t buy that amount either. Have Tinyco been giving out an apology gift or should I be worried?

I’d like to finish up buying the rest of Rupurt’s box but I can’t make it more than a few minutes without the game crashing on my HTC M8. I’ve got plenty of memory and ram but most of the time I click on the cauldron or go to Ollieland the game crashes and half of the actions I had previously done didn’t save. Worst was when I thought I got Consula but when I went back later she hadn’t saved and the sale had ended and I now don’t have enough for her. I really like this game and I was playing more than TSTO but this may be the last days of the game for me. I’ve tried contacting them and I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game but still have the problems. I’d like to keep playing however I just can’t justify the wasted time because I am constantly doing things I’ve already done. I’m a big American Dad fan but I would bet money ever video I will try and watch will crash my game. Is this just my phone or is this game that unplayable right now?

Each device has it’s own quirks with app games. I struggle on one device and never have an issue on the other. Here are some hints that I try when it happens.

Mine is the same way. I have a Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy S4 and a OnePlus One. I’ve tried on all three and they all struggle after a few minutes and start to lag out. Rebooting and a few other fixes may help for a minute or two but then the same thing happens. The only device that seems to run it without many issues is an iPad 2 that I have. Oh well.

I’ve still got 17,000+ vials, I’ve bought all vial based buildings and at least 2 of all the brewables including 8 sets of zombies I have standing around in a group. I’ve still got 100’s of jars of things, enough for 3 more goes at Stay-Puft and 40+ bombs and traps. I’ve no time to sit and transfer them all (what with a crash every two mins!), and no time to sit slowly buying 100’s more bits of bush. Guess I’ll be leaving a lot of waste in this one.
It’s been a fun event tho’ I’ve loved it… but not so much the crashes!!!
Can’t wait to hit the nuke button once its over and have a rebuild. I’ve no space left at all in my town.

Played freemium, got the ecto which was my main desire. Last week wasn’t sure I’d get weed, so didn’t do the consula box, would have much preferred those decorations, but have tons of multiples of decorations all the items from Frankenstein, wish we could throw out the portals. Other stuff can make fun haloween area next year. I’ve already stored everything but the buildings. I think the most useful items going forward will be the building skins and the unlocked spirit people. It was a fun and easy event, only regret is the 15k I spent on frankensteins box should have gone to consuelas. Just wasn’t sure id earn enough for weed and he was a goal for me.

So obviously the Bomb and Smore earning tasks will disappear, but what about the Zap/Kill tasks? The terror dogs and banshees will definitely vanish when the event does, but I really hope the tasks stay so we can still get some proton action in our town. Still waiting on a 4way Cross the Streams task…

Already nuked my town lol just waiting now for everybody to vacate it so I can start construction. Although it looks funny loads of Halloweenies roaming round a field. I’m looking forward to the trick or treaters leaving finally. Have enjoyed this event, so much new content and tasks. Great job tinyco, this game just gets better all the time.

the only things I bought with clams this event was predator and alien and finally gave in on Jason yesterday because it essentially only costed 100 clams. I didn’t buy any of the other premium stuff and stay puff screwed me over so many times(I ended with over 200 blue rockets because he never wanted blue ones) and I still managed to get everything that required vials, did 2 duplicates of Freddy’s car like 50 random decorations and now 15 grim reaper statues from frankenbox.
I’ve seen people complain about how hard this event was and how freemium couldn’t get everything so I figured I would post my results. Freemium could deffinitly get everything if you are trying hard enough 😉

Totally agree. I’ve got more leftover spirit vials than I know what to do with, and that’s before converting the hundreds of items I have leftover. And I agree with Matthew’s comment below, would have liked additional items to get with my vials, or even a chance of clams, whether 10 clams for 10000 vials or such, or even a chance at 50 with a mystery box.

What do you think the likelihood of another vial mystery box appearing before the end of the event is i’ve already brewed everything I want from a cauldron I already want everything from the Mistry box including multiple Grim Reaper statues I don’t want anymore of the decorations so it looks like at this point I’m just gonna have a lot of wasted vials

Strangely enough, as a freemium player I am stuck with over 10.000 vials and I got every single item numerous times. And I mean everything. 70 tombs, 6 statues of the grim reaper (as well as everything else in the Frankenstein Rupert box), 140 unruly bushes, brewed everything twice etc. With previous events I was scrambling at the end to maybe get one or two copies of items I really wanted. I think it’s because personally I am not a big fan of Halloween (though the event was great) nor scifi. I don’t really want many of these items in my town after the event. The only thing I loved and majorly stocked up on were the flowers from dia de los muertos. I’m hoping that at one point the option to sell all the items I don’t want will appear.

I am SO pleased with this event! I JUST managed to get Mr. Weed 2 days ago, and I’m struggling to get the last of my crafting prizes (only 2 left to go, 1000 vials each, so I think I’ll make it!). I may actually get Slimer! So that means the only things I missed was Zuul’s portal (stupid trick or treater limited quest started before I got any vials and the vial time fix happened more than halfway through my time limit…), the Ecto-1 (AAARG!), and everything from the Frankenstein Prize box. I’m very okay with this.
One question though, to get Slimer, do I need to craft EVERYTHING available in the cauldron, or just the items? I don’t quite have enough candy corn to spend the 25 > 100 vials (why is that so expensive by the way?) Just want to know if I should start to go for stink bombs and target the kids instead of working toward Smore missiles! Thanks!

Good event. Only thing I would want to improve it is too add the Bruce voice to the Alien character. They have the voice for the decoration, should have it for the character as well.

I’m wishing I would have bought some of the Día de las Brujas now…at the time I was worried about getting enough spirit vials to get all the brewable items…then they revealed the candy trade in option and that put me WAY over what I needed. Oh well.

Argh! I had the exact same reaction … both when I realized that the Dia de los Muertos event was limited-time, and again now that I will have ~6K vials left and nothing to spend them on (unless I want 8 more hell pits, or a million graves and bushes, I guess). At the time I was worried I’d fall short of stuff like Mr. Weed, or that TinyCo would add some other awesome prize at the end. But like you, I’m way over now with nothing left to buy, definitely would have done it differently if I knew! Oh well though, great event and I do love that the game always keeps you guessing and strategizing.

All in all I think this event was great. I think it gave us enough time to get everything Freemium available without the use of clams.
The only two negatives I would say, is that you didn’t get much of a warning regarding the grave timers which I think is a rubbish idea anyway as people have tasks they need to be doing in RL which may take them away from the game for a day or two and make them miss out on things, and the mystery boxes that give out duplicates. Like seriously, wth am I going to do with those dum skulls and portals!

Why don’t I see the emo globin building in my shopping cart? It’s the only non-clam building I need from the event. What tab is it under? Also I just started building the phantom limb building if it’s not finished by the time the event ends will I lose it?

Will buildings that start construction, but NOT finish before the timer, get to complete? I had an issue with Consuela’s update where I did not get a building but that may be due to typical “not saving the game always” issues.

In the past, if the building was under construction it was considered purchased. So make sure you do sync up your game if you build one. Go into Ollie land and back out to help.

Got 5 vials left, lol. I spent it all! Got all decorations and buildings and items I wanted. Some many times over.
Saving up rockets really was the key to having enough for everything.

What happened to the blimp quest? I’ve completed everything without fail since the jelly-yo debacle a while back, but I’ve still got my zeppelin sitting there sans plutonium. There are zero tasks in my list. Was this something that got put on hold for Halloween?

I have 20k viles and have bought everything avail days ago. During comic con it seemed there were a ton more stuff to buy but this event was great. With the new update, anyone notice when putting items away in inventory on the bottom left there is a red nuke button that nukes the whole town to your inventory ?…..

I don’t know, this time I bought the premium characters and even with that I still had no Vials left to get for the box, and I got the Slimer prize just yesterday. I think this was overall harder at the beginning and softer by the end, but I don’t have enought Vial to get all.
And I play daily at least 6 times a day

I was a little surprised to get an update about the American Dad event this morning. The Halloween Event stuff is still in play, but the app icon already updated to Peter with an American flag behind him.

Too bad you can only craft spirit vials every 5 items for 100 and not 100 for 2000 at once. Now it takes forever to craft away 172 goops and 154 ghoul hands. >.<
I finally got Mr.Weed yesterday, from the beginning of this week until no I had Stay Puft up at his max, that did it for me, even got Slimer! 😀
Would never got it without premium Jason though I think. Anyhoe, great event, I love halloween. I'm just scraping to see what I can get from the Rupert box but not really needy for anything in it. All's a bonus now!
