Bouncing by to wrap up a few questions for the Week 2 Mobster Event content. Take a look at all the information and see if any of it applies to your concerns.
There are some “Issues” and changes that are causing concern for Players, I will cover the ones that we are seeing the most. Other issues may be more a one on one and need Troubleshooting and personal attention via TinyCo, so take a peek to see if YOUR Q&A is covered.
A lot of this was covered in other posts, like the Week 2 Rundown.
FANCY HEDGE FENCE
When the Event first dropped into the game, some really cool Hedges were dropped into the game for us to use to decorate our towns. These can be found in your Decorations Tab, not the Event Tab for 15 Cookies.
Due to it was being used NOT as intended, there was a change made to it and no XP will drop from them any longer.

iOS & AMAZON PATCH UPDATE
Those that experienced the Crash Issue along with Android, you will have to wait until YOUR App Market pushes the patch to be able to load it. So keep checking your App Market and the Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff App Page to see when “UPDATE” shows so you can get the Patch into your device.

Android Users: Keep in mind, you may still have the basic crashing issues plaguing your device created by poor or low Memory and/or Signal. So to ensure you are getting full results from the patch, take a look at some tips to make sure your game runs a lil more smoothly all the time.

COOKIE TRUCKS
There are some concerns as to the Cookie Trucks with Week 2 hitting the game. Just wanted to refocus on some things I already covered on the Main Week 2 Post.
Gold Cookie Trucks: These will NOT trigger until you open your game. They are SUPPOSED to stay round for 4 hrs to give you time to clear them with 6 goons and get the 5 Boxing Gloves. However, there is some odd things happening with them. They disappear after only moments, you clear them and nothing pops out, they only drop coins… etc. TinyCo is aware of the Issues with them and looking into it. Will report back when I hear more.
UPDATE BUNNY 6/13: Got another Gold Truck, this time it stuck around a while. Sent my 6 Wiseguy Goons to attack it. Took a lil time for each one to wave their bats and then disappear into the ground through a patch of grass they lifted. The last one did the usual of shooting out tires, waving bat to scare Driver &Passenger off, then **POOF** it was gone and that last Wiseguy took off in the getaway car. In the end… 5 Boxing Gloves and 50 Mob Rep popped out and added to my total. (You just tap on Fight Promoter Cleveland’s “i” next to him to extend the information and see the counts.)
Short story long…IT WORKED!!! WOOHOO!!
Purple Cookie Trucks: These WILL still show up in your games, just a lot lot lot less often. In my game it seems to take hours for them to spawn vs the few minutes in Week 1. They now MAX out at 4 in my game. Again, all information I passed on to TinyCo for clarification on a Spawn Rate/Time. Will update once I hear from them.
UPDATE 4PM EST: TinyCo just informed me a patch for the Purple Cookie Trucks just went live. This should help you to see them more often. WOOHOO!! They are still working on the Gold.
MY TASKS WON’T TRIGGER
Many are stating they are not seeing progress in the game. Let’s take a look at the Basics of ensuring your are moving along in your Event.
WHAT tasks do you have open in your Task Menu?
1: If you have a LOT of them, clear some out. Your Task Menu can only hold so many tasks at a time before it gets too crowded. So clear some out to make room for some new ones or you may not see anything new trigger until you do.
2: Take a look at the Task Names & Part #. If you have NOT completed questlines fully to a specific point, you will not see items in the Event unlock nor be able to Upgrade and move on to Week 2.
Week 2 Requires you to Complete Mob Mentality Part 9 (from Week 1)
Many Items in Week 2 Require you to Start Cookie Crumbles Pt 1 (starts in Week 2)
Additional Items Require you to Complete All In Pt 1 (Starts after Cookie Crumbles Pt 1, Around Part 2 Mainly). This is just about progressing in the Casino, not critical. Just keep playing and clearing tasks until it pops up.
DOG FOOD DROPS
For those that did not notice, Goldman’s Pharmacy helps drop Dog Food. They also JUST added Quagmire Giggity Strut to help too. So you can now have 3 sources for the Dog Food Drops.
MOB REP NOT ADDING
There are multiple sides to this one and I have discussed this in depth with TinyCo. Let’s get the Basics out of the way first.
You will see one of these two options happen when you Collect from a completed task, job, etc.
1: Your Mob Rep & Cookies will pop out and at that SAME time the Mob Rep will Instantly add to your total count. This is even BEFORE the Mob Rep Fedora floats over and visually collects to the Mob Rep Icon. In other words you DID get the Mob Rep, you just may not have seen it add as it happened Instantly. But it was added.
2: Your Mob Rep & Cookies will pop out and you either have to tap on the Image Icons or wait for your game to collect them for you. As they float over to the Mob Rep Icon, you will visually see the numbers add to your total. In other words, you see the Fedora float over with the amount (like +5) and see it add as it reaches the Mob Rep Icon
As BOTH of these are happening in the game, Players writing in are missing the “visual” points when the Mob Rep is adding and it “appears” they did not get credit when they did. I have tested this numerous times in my game. I saw both methods happening and both times the total did change as it was supposed to. Just some instantly and others as it collected.
If neither one of these applied to YOUR issue and you did NOT see an increase from Before and After tapping an item, please report it to TinyCo so they can look into it individually for you from your game.
As always, if you have an issue that is NOT covered in any of our posts here try some Basic Troubleshooting. If the issue is still not resolved, Contact TinyCo for further support.

Hi!
Three days ago, before the update arrived on IOS, I opened my game on an Android device. It opened normally but when I tried to open it back on IOS the game got stuck and since then I’m unable to play: it says Update everytime I try to open it, and clicking on the update button just leads me to apple store where no update is available yet (its been 3days and I cant stand thinking about the leaderboard anymore)

You pretty much just answered your own concerns there.
You updated Android, so that means you started playing a newer version of the game. iOS does NOT have a newer version of the game … yet… waiting on Apple Market to push it. So you can’t play on iOS until it matches the newer version. The game won’t just roll back and forth on Updates. That would cause a disaster of issues. Sorry.

Bunny or others… ummm… I know SWIM who is playing SWIM’s game and saw a Gold Cookie Truck. After using 6 Goons on it SWIM exited their game and came back because of a notification from FG:TQFS. Upon entry, THREE Gold Cookie Trucks were present at once. LEGIT! SWIM proceeded to Clam trough 18 additional goons to get these 3 trucks and 15 additional boxing gloves.
My questions are these:
a) Was this a legal, read as “non-bannable” action?
b) Could this have been an intentional change to those trucks by TinyCo?
c) Is there anything SWIM should do about this particular situation?

Lol. If you are getting a lot of Trucks, don’t worry. We ALL are. No word from them if this is to “help” Players or not. 😉

Just had the same thing happen, except I had 4 gold trucks. Cleared all 4 using clams to speed up the goon making process, and got 5 gloves and 50 mob off each.
Came here to post and see if I should report and saw this. If this ends up being a glitch and wasn’t supposed to happen, let me know so I can tally up with TinyCo.

I just lost most if the day and 5 lunchadores after game crashed while ending 5 in do do a job.Have done all 3 stars on casino this is the first crash where I lost anything.Is it worth it to carry on if it is going to keep crashing…LOT of time lost

I reported a gold truck crash but they’ve yet to compensate me 5 gloves. Also I have 2 rvs but can only train 6 goons not 9. Really about to give up on this event

Capacity and Queue are not the same thing. The Queue can only hold 6 at any time. No more. Capacity is how many total MAX you can have in your game at once. Whether they are walking around or in Queue. So you need to release some from the Copahavana to keep hiring til you hit Capacity.

I really, really love this event and want to get into it unfortunately I’m feeling a bit discouraged with all the issues. I’ve had golden trucks appear and my game crashes as I’m dealing with them and then it takes ages for them to come back or no boxing gloves just mob rep and coins. One minute certain content is available and the next it’s not, not to mention the leaderboards and how discouraged I feel when collecting hats. I’m hoping that since we still have at least another three weeks and a bit before this quest ends that it will improve. I really enjoy it quite a bit!

Well, I got another issue.
My timers are totally messed up and a friend of mine had the same.
3 chars on 8h task started at the same time, totally different timers and lois with almost 13h remaining on a 8h task is impossible.
Force closed, cleared cache, checked again, timers changed but still not what they are supposed to be.

It did look like some of them kept a wrong timer and terminated on the wrong one.

Build 2 buildings to earn masks, earned 2 masks, game credited me zero masks.
Is there anyway other than in game to contact them. Still have unanswered ticket from star trek game and can’t start new ticket. It’s been 6 weeks or more.
I don’t mind all the difficulty of the game but I don’t have the energy to track if it keeps score properly.
I’m sad because this event has been designed well and seems fun but I keep not getting credit for earned items and makes me want to stop playing.

So the Luchadors Masks in Copahavana count did not change? To like 2/1?

No. I didn’t get credit. The ones I earned since then I did, but the first 2 I got when buildings completed did not add to the total. That was only issue with the earning of masks. I’ve earned another 4-6 or so and they all add to totals.

I have a question… after clearing a golden cookie truck, how much time do I have till the next? Now I have to decide whether to clear the purple trucks for golf balls or save the goons for the golden trucks (in the meantime I’m trying to get luchadors for the gurl scouts…
So, it would help greatly to know after clearing a golden cookie truck, how much time do I have till the next?

Just wondering if I’m the only one seeing this: I’m trying to complete the first raid on Cleveland’s Casino and am up to the Bouncer Obstacle which requires 3 Sacks of Cash. They are supposed to be Uncommon, but I’ve been sending Peter and Joe on the tasks to get them several times a day for the last 2 days and I’ve only obtained one.

Well, the only issue I’m having is that when I try to load on my iPad, I get a message that says “There’s an upgrade available.” But when I go to the App Store, there is no update waiting. Luckily–kind of–I can get into the game via my phone, but can only do one or two things before the game crashes. Wrote TC and am awaiting a response. Here’s hoping because I hate playing on my phone.

Did you play the game on TWO brands of devices? ie… did you play your game on Android with an Updated version? If so, you can’t roll it back to in older version, so your device will seek that new update on iOS (that is not there just yet) and until it finds it… it won’t be able to play.

I seem to be stuck at Mob Mentality 8, I raided the 3rd safehouse which should have given me the Roaches. But the game crashed at that point. So I didn’t get the Roaches which I need to place to finish Mob Mentality 8.
Any suggestions what I could do (except contacting TinyCo which I allready have done ingame)?

How much mob rep should we get for clearing girl scout? I’ve done it twice and only got 10 rep each time, but your post says you got 30 rep for girl scout? 10 seems stingy considering it takes 2 hrs to hire 2 luchador. In comparison using that 2 hrs to hire 4 goons instead and clear 4 trucks x 5 rep each would total 20 rep.

I’ve successfully raided two hold trucks and got the gloves to show for it, but I’ve yet to get a single tuba and haven’t gotten a golf ball since Friday. Got every thing else for Jr but he still cost redonkulous clams.

I got one gold truck last night, got my 5 gloves, but I still haven’t seen one today, and in did have a town full of Purple trucks this morning, so I cleared all but two, and I haven’t had a single new one spawn all day again.

I bought a 2nd Shady RV with 1000 cookies (or whatever became available later in the game.. I didn’t use clams) If I understand correctly, this should have allowed me to hire more goons, but I can’t. I can’t the RV on my board and it’s not in my inventory.. I looked through each category. Furthermore, it’s not available in the store. Is this a known glitch (I have not yet reported to tinyco) or am I misunderstanding?

Misunderstanding. Hiring Goons is not the same as your Capacity.
Hiring Queue: You can only Hire 6 at a time, once they are processed tap the check mark and kick them out of the Copahavana and into your town.
Capacity MAX: This is how many Goons (Wiseguy or Luchador) you can have in your town at a time. This includes BOTH ones walking around and in the hiring Queue.
In other words, if you CAPACITY is 12… you could potentially have 6 Goons walking your town while 6 more are processing in the Queue to Hire.

I’ve updated my mansion and am yet to have the all in quest line start, because of this I can’t build what’s needed to get the masks, has anyone else had this problem? I’ve read the above post which says it’s normally triggered at the cookies crumble quest line I’m on part 2 and still have triggered off all in.
Any help is appreciated 🙂

I just did a gold truck, 50 fedoras and 10 coins, still not right but better than crashing and losing all my goons. The animation is very long, they could do with trimming that down a bit.

I just cleared a Golden Truck, I think I was a few seconds away from missing it. It actually worked this time, I got 50 fedoras and 5 boxing gloves. Hopefully others will work, and I will either get the gloves or clams back from yesterday(I sped one guy up but it crashed as they attacked the truck and I didn’t get any gloves, I just lost thugs and clams used). On an unrelated note, I didn’t like how expensive Mike Tyson and the Gentleman’s Club were. I bought them both to help, but it seemed like quite a bit. I didn’t want to spend too much on clams but I keep seeing things that I want. Cleveland Jr. just seemed like it would take me a very long time to get, and I wanted him to help. I keep shooting down the leaderboards in the evening so I spend the day trying to work my way back up. I could add more clams, but I’m a little low on money and I don’t want to keep spending money in the game for now.

Hey the maybe a new issue or something else. It seems like a couple of my actions, are lasting a lot longer than stated. Kiss Peter ring and question consultant say something like 4 hours but are showing up as 20 hours tasks once they are started. The question one counted down faster, yellow bar but then rest to 11 hours!!!! Has anyone else noticed this or it is something only I am getting?

Every event the timers go a lil odd here n there, show alternate times… but still complete in appropriate time. Just report it to TinyCo from your game.

So my understanding is the gold trucks are still not patched. So far my first sighting (Friday) resulted in six goons used and my game crashing with no payout. My second sighting was last night when I checked into my game just after midnight (technically Saturday) AFTER I had already used my goons on the casino. Since I was putting everyone to bed for the night (including me), I certainly wasn’t waiting for my goons to refresh. And sure enough when I checked my game upon waking up six hours later the gold truck was gone. The gold trucks started with 28 days left and there is a limit to one per day so that means you need 25 successful heists out of only 28 chances. Two of those opportunities have passed for me already, meaning I can only have more failed attempt. That can’t really be how this was intended. If it is, it seems like another ill-conceived challenge unless there are some major adjustments. Especially if the skin is needed for any quests to advance necessary questlines and you won’t be getting it until three days remaining even if you are successful every time from day one. And forget it if they are going to spawn late at night and disappear while you are away from your game. I know, I know, it is early in the event and who knows what is coming, but I have to view the task at face value as it is initially presented and anticipate that this is the way it is intended and once again the math is a major stress. At least if I don’t have a successful gold truck heist Sunday, I can forget about it for the rest of the event and not stress about it.

That’s great Bunny. Glad they are working. Thanks. Still doesn’t cover up the fact that if it spawns during abnormal times (say midnight when you are putting your characters to bed) and that is the one spawn of the day and you miss it and you miss one of the 25 times you need, you are still out of the running for the possibility to obtain the Cleveland skin. They have already pretty much taken away two of the 28 chances because the task didn’t work properly. So there are 26 left and you need 25 of them. I don’t have any issue with the challenge of the task — except I am not sure it is thought through enough. Again. Failure to have the task working properly eliminated two of the 28 chances and if they spawn at midnight for the new-day spawn and you aren’t willing to stay up four hours when you have planned to be sleeping, you are missing another. Perhaps spawning every 16 or 18 hours would create more chances and if you miss that odd-ball time you are not totally out the running. Or leaving them up for eight hours so at least your sleep doesn’t have to be interrupted, it would give people a fighting chance. I for one have grown tired of being a slave to my game in the overnight hours (I have done it for Yeti- and Bertram-fighting and wonder if it was even worth it). Don’t they want people to achieve these challenges and feel good about the game so they keep playing?

Just play. They won’t trigger til you are in your game so I suggest to have 6 goons handy or processing anytime you can. Outside that, they are hitting games faster… like in 12 or 16 hrs. Who’s to say they won’t offer even more down the road? They always do. Every event. Increase things towards the end. Just play, have fun, let the game unfold. 🙂

Thanks Bunny. Clearly their frequency has been increased which is a good thing. I always look at any timed task — and all tasks in events meet that criteria — and determine where I need to be each day mathematically before the “timer” runs out so I can gauge if I need to change my style of play. Obviously, your site is a key component to that planning so I am tremendously appreciative of the work you and Alissa do for us players.

Just wanted to report (note: it is 8:00 am CDT here so 6:00 am at TinyCo) AND I just successfully raided a gold truck AND got the boxing gloves! I was really just testing to see if I would get the same crash as everyone else but either it’s fixed or my game is glitched in a good way 🙂

I am trying to contact tiny co via their website, but it’s seems the email won’t send. I have sent one threw the game, how long before they usually respond back. Was wondering if there was a number I can try calling since the error I keep getting will not allow me to play at all. Very frustrating.

Try the email listed on the Contact TinyCo linked right in this very post. Also… give them time to respond… can take up to 5 business day.
Outside that, is the error linked to the Crashing listed in this post? Are you waiting for the Patch Update?

So the gold trucks have finally appeared in my town but everytime I send a goon go to clear them the trucks will pause and nothing happens. They don’t even disappear to give me anything. Anyone else having this prob? It’s frustrating!

Just a heads up on gold truck, 1st log in this am and one appeared, luckily had all the mob goons from overnight hire and was able to clear truck. It did blink once and wasn’t sure if it was about to leave but came right back finished and did get the gloves. This was the 1st time truck has appeared in my game so hopefully it’s fixed. Hi! Just wanted to report that the gold trucks seem to have been fixed! Yay! Tried it just now – there was animation of the goons dropping into a hole in the ground (the vortex?) one by one, and as I held my breath, the last goon shot out the tires and I received 5 gloves and 50 fedoras.

In my game TinyCo has fixed everything EXCEPT the trigger for the All In quest line. You note above that “it’s not important”. While I can and have still been able to do the casino runs, without it, the buildings that drop the masks are locked. Without the masks, I can’t clear the gurl scout, so I can’t get tubas, without the tubas I can’t finish Cleveland Jr so that Quesline it very important. I’ve sent an in-game request but they are too busy to respond. I’m kind of bummer about it, it keeps me from buying the clam/cookie deal because until it’s fixed I don’t need 5000 cookies. It timer for this deal is counting down, if the All In quest line triggers before it’s gone I’ll do it but not before.

So … I just finished the first casino run, the second run takes the mask to start it. I’m hosed until the “All In” quest line starts. TinyCo won’t answer In-game help request, this event is beginning to blow.

Have you cleared the Cookie Crumbles Pt 1? I can’t remember if it was specifically Pt 1 or 2 but I had to clear it before the All in quest line triggered.

Just cleared a gold truck but no boxing gloves dropped, only mob rep and cookies. Annoyed as I sped up a few goons to try it out. Won’t bother doing that again. Emailed Tinyco through the game but I didn’t even get a response from a previous issue so not holding my breath. Waste of money.

Saw my first gold truck today about an hour ago and was able to complete it and get the gloves. Don’t know if it’s fixed but it worked for me once so far.

What’s up with the leaderboards? I was 7k with the crash issues hitting me, now I’m 30k+ without crashing issues, quite extreme when I play hourly, I was hoping to get the under 5k prize aswell

Any word on the Gold Truck?
The reason I ask is it showed up again in my Quahog. So, I’m going to wait it out until I have 6 Goons to try and take it down. I wasn’t expecting to see another one until tomorrow.

1am EST Saturday 6/13/15: I see a gold truck but haven’t upgraded the mansion yet, still going through an extra raid on Consuela’s warehouse (already got the Cockroaches for the first 3 raids). It said it dropped coins, not cookies. I decided to pass on it rather than risking all my goons… . Is it still glitchy? Does it give fedoras even when dropping coins? Is it supposed to drop cookies? I still have enough purple trucks to raid.

So sad- I was within one or two hours of getting through the first extra raid on Consuela’s warehouse (7/8 dog food bags!) when I accidentally clicked on the mansion and upgraded it. All those lovely fedoras lost forever… 😦 I blame the chihuahua on the red chair, he/she distracted me when I noticed his/her new animation (input vs output, to put it politely) and I started clicking on things to see if anything else was new.
Anyway- you aren’t kidding about a new spawn rate for purple trucks, I counted a record seven of them on my roads at 5:30 am EST. The lone gold truck now indicates it drops luchador masks. I might risk raiding it once enough goons have incubated. One innocent little Gurl Scout is roaming my sidewalks. Seems a shame to sic two big luchadores on the little sprout.

I have had two gold truck glitches now! The first time it disappeared and turned into a purple one. The second time it took all 6 of my goons and then only gave me cookies and mob rep! 2 gold trucks and not a single boxing glove out of them! These gold trucks are so frustrating.

Yay they have fixed the gold truck. My first 1 just appeared and it paid out the 5 gloves. 😆😆😆😆

If you only use gold trucks to earn gloves that means it’ll take 25 trucks to earn promoter Cleveland.
There is only 26 days left in the event.
At 6 mobsters per truck and 1 truck a day this will be a very hard almost impossible challenge.
I implore you to change the golden milk trucks to twice a day and half the goons.
Especially with the early multiple issues with this update.

Not seeing cookie crumbles yet. Do I need to upgrade mansion first?
Got timer for cookie bonus with clam, but since I have 2000 cookies, i need to ask, how many cookies are required to make week 2 purchases, think I’ll earn at same or faster rate with more tasks, but are they consumed faster? Anyone in a cookie bind?
Other than hedges which i never saw not sure there’s many things to spend cookies on, kinda like my coins. Worth less than a rupee i figure!

My tasks are to the point of asking to clear girl scouts and get luchador masks to clear in the casino but the buildings are locked. Am I not far along in one of the tasks?
