So while I was at the Airport in layover/flight cancellation hell (not gonna make it home tonight), it looks like TinyCo decided to add something a lil different to the game. Something MANY of you have requested…
A way to collect from a LOT of Buildings at once… in a way. Introducing Consuela’s Vacuum! WOOHOO!!
Peter will start of the dialog between him and Consuela for “Suck It Up” to teach you about the Vacuum.
Back in a bit with more details.
SUCK IT UP
This lil Pop Up will introduce you to the New Feature added to the game called Consuela’s Vacuum. As you will see in the Instructions, this will NOT collect Materials from Buildings. So any buildings currently dropping Materials will NOT count or be able to have the Vacuum used on.
To start, you will need to have at LEAST 10 of your Buildings in town ready to Collect Coins on. I had probably around 30+ in my town ready to be collected on.
You will know what buildings Consuela’s Vacuum works on as you will see the Coin Icon over them.
If you do NOT have at least 10 Buildings ready, the Icon will not show up. If you do, it is just a matter of locating Consuela’s Vacuum Icon in the Lower Right Corner of your game. Just above the Shopping Cart Menu Icon.
Once you tap on Consuela’s Vacuum Icon the game will “sit” for just a few moments depending on how many buildings you have, then you will see the Coin Collector 3000 Screen Pop Up with showing Consuela sucking up coins with her Vacuum and the total amount that was just Collected from your Quahog.
It cleared out every single Building I had that was ready to collect on as none right now have any Materials needed dropping.
UPDATE 7/15: For those asking…. it DOES collect the XP too on those same coin buildings it is collecting on. 😉
SIDE NOTES
- You need to have at LEAST 10 Buildings in your town ready to COIN ONLY Collect in order to have the Vacuum Icon work.
- You need to be on Version 1.10 of the Family Guy App in your App Market
- You need to be in at LEAST District 4
- You need to have completed The Lost Boys Part 2
If you do not meet these requirements, this feature will not be available to you until you do.
And there you have it. A cool feature brought into our silly lil games by Player Request. A cool lil spin on the idea. Can’t wait to see how it is put to use in my game. I know it will save me a TON of tapping time.

I love it! I stopped systematically collecting from buildings, because I have like 6 million coins and don’t really see the point. But those coins marks drove me insane as my town was covered with them, so I started storing buildings. No there is a solution. I love it, 10.000 coins in one go… who knew? If only there now also came an option to assign characters on a one day task in bulk… with over 70 characters it always takes ages to get everyone assigned.

Do non Consuela owners get this? I bought mine months ago, and got a free one during mobsters in my other game, so I’m all gold.

It’s a feature built in… like Nuke option and Store Characters. No one needs Consuela 😉

This is a great addition…except for the fact that I’ve had to put all my building not in use in storage cuz if I don’t my game freezes up and shuts down constantly…

Yah – this solves the problem of the screen shifting to way over to heck’s half acre when you try to collect from buildings. So this is a permanent thing?

It’s working now, closed and restarted, Found version on apps purchased page, but funny it dosent show up in general settings or other expected locations on ipad.

Awesome added bonus ! Consuela is at her best with the vacuum. The most has been about 3800 coins in one suck.
Ps. It must suck to be stranded at the airport overnight. Complain, complain and complain with customer service tomorrow, and ask for future credit. 💰

Single Best Thing Tinyco has done ever!!!!! I haven’t purposely collected coins on any building in months (I’m currently sitting at 2.7 million coins so why bother) as its not worth the effort. Now in one easy click I can tidy up my town. I still am bitter over the fubar’d Mob event but this eases the pain somewhat Tinyco!

Now if only they added a similar feature for tasks…it takes like 10 minutes to reset all the tasks. Something like the vacuum that ends the task then at the same time resets them to the same task if you wanted.

I had this problem too, until I realized I had put Consuela in storage. Once I retrieved her, the vacuum worked perfectly!

Great new feature. And one that I was hoping for than something similar in TSTO. Must be due to the much poorer tapping precision in TQFS that causes me to tap something else 1/3 to 1/2 of the time. Anyway, great addition.

It’s nice, too bad cash is all but worthless in this game after a while or this would be more useful.
If only they would put in a cancel task functionality. As it is, I don’t put anyone on tasks unless it’s for stuff or a quest, in case they are needed on something.

I love this feature as my town is filled to the max only wish it worked for collecting on characters too maybe a certain other game should add a similar option

Oh the timing!!! I just rolled $20 mil at the end of the Mobster event, so I nuked my Quahog and stored all my useless buildings.
Could have used this.. Oh.. A year ago???!!?

Haven’t had a chance to read the comments yet, just your post so far, but this has gotta make a lot of players happy! So many have been asking for this type of feature!! Will see though, if players are actually happy about it… 😉 Haven’t used the feature yet. Just getting home from work, and of course, had to check in here first. Sounds like a fun way to get rid of the tedious, dreaded, never- ending, collecting chore. 🙂

Surely they will blame it on the weather and may cite some clause where they are not ‘legally’ responsible. I know you know it was raining cats and dogs here in parts of NY, and they may bring that up, but don’t let them off the hook! They need to make up for your loss of business! Free flight anywhere in the continental US. Easy 🙂 and done all the time. It’s no skin off their back. Good luck!

Weather … I get. Delayed all the time traveling. Can’t find my flights because their system “lost it”… I have all conformations and printouts in hand… but can’t board cuz I’m “lost in their system” … I kinda think they need to take some responsibility. 😉
I wish I could have stayed in NYC another day to sight see. Not at an Airport. 😉

Lol. I’m a professional airline sleeper. Luckily I have an Alissa who loves me enough to give me a place to sleep for a few hours… back to do it all over again this morning. Keeping fingers crossed

Will it collect from buildings that are holding people with completed tasks? And if so, will it complete all those tasks?

Awesome. In the middle of maxxing out the xp of the characters who aren’t maxxed out already, and it would be a pain in the butt to hunt them all back down to restart their tasks.

Im thinking that this is part of the attempt at reducing their memory footprint to reduce crashes. I’ve run office building farms of several hundred buildings and I had to be careful not to click on too many buildings at a time, lest the memory choke on all the coins and xptvs laying on the ground. Keep going Tiny Co.! Im learning TSTO while you plug at it. Have you guys consided “middle-out” memory compression?

I also in-game messaged them, about reducing their storage footprint by deleting unused artwork, temp files, logs, etc from the game. (Of course with no response). My Android always seems to have a huge temp file that can be deleted (under Application Manager in Settings). Each player has their own particular set of items they have earned, and they don’t need the artwork for items and characters they will never get to stay on the phone . If TinyCo had been doing this, then it would be impossible for the game to accidentally put artwork from older events into your current game..which as reported, has happened quite a few times.

Yep, I was browsing through the games file folder the other day and saw a whole bunch of files and artwork from a bunch of events that happened before I even started playing the game. It’s just not necessary.

You can never really see XP collecting as there is not really a counter for it. However, my XP Level Bar did seem to slightly move… so I am gonna go with a yes on that one. 😉

Not until we can buy clams with earned coins! How about 100 coins a clam? 1000 coins gets you 10 clams. Something like that would be nice 😉

This is a very exciting feature imho and a very welcome surprise. A big THANK YOU to TinyCo and FGAddicts (who no doubt dropped hints of encouragment to do this :)).

I got the dialogue and then cleared the learning, but i cant activate the vacuum itself….? Not sure if its locked or in the store or whats needed? Thinking its clams, but no ideas, hoping you get back on ground safely with info :).

I’m having the same issue! Just updated the game tonight, I have at least 30 coin only buildings to collect, and I’ve passed the storyline requirements as I’ve been playing since day 1. Anyone have any ideas?
