Hey there Toady Roadies!
Looks like that we got that Weekly Challenge into our games now. Many of you will see the Pop Up appear right on your screen.
Tapping on the ! above Peter brings the Challenge into the game.
Let’s take a Closer look at the Challenge itself. Back in just a bit with the details (as I was driving when it hit).
First up, the first item I saw when I tapped Peter ! was the True Fan Challenge, then the Prizes, and lastly a Clam paying task. Now I assume not EVERYONE will see the items listed below. The True Fan Challenge may be same as before and more isolated to just Premium Users on the game. So again, MEANT to be hard and you MAY have to use Clams to complete depending where you are in the game. As for the “A Rising Star”, I am still checking on that one to verify.
Per TinyCo: I was correct. The Challenge will trigger ONLY for those in Phase 4 Content AND have made an In App Purchase.
TRUE FAN CHALLENGE
For this Challenge, you will need to Clear out 4 of the Darker Bears from the game, Clear 4 Toad Users, Clear 12 Swarms of Bees, and Have Joe Lion Grow White People Dreadlocks.
CLEAR 4 BEARS
- Gather 8 Picnic Baskets @ 4hrs each (24hrs) – You have 3 Characters (Joe Lion, Bruce, Mort) and a Premium Item (Nature Gear Emporium) that can get these for you.
- Train 8 Park Rangers @ 1hr each (8hrs)
- Clear 4 Bears
CLEAR 4 TOAD USERS
- Clear 4 Toad users w/ Rockstar Peter @ 3hrs each (12hrs) – These should spawn every 6 hrs. If they are not, message TinyCo from your game ASAP. And no worries, they are making sure ENOUGH will spawn to hit at least the 4 in the 24hrs.
CLEAR 12 SWARMS OF BEES
- Gather 12 Honey @ 2hrs each (24hrs) – You have 5 Characters (Avril, Bruce, Dr. Hartman, Mort, Brian) and a Premium Item (Beehive Tree) that can get these for you.
- Train 12 Beekeepers @ 45mins Each (9hrs)
- Clear 12 Red Head Bee Girls w/Swarms of Bees
HAVE JOE LION GROW WHITE PEOPLE DREADLOCKS
- 12hrs
So as you see, this one is basically to the last moment. Having some Honey, Picnic Baskets, or any Staff Trained already will help you out. Also remember it is a TOTAL of time, but if you break up say the Honey into multiple Characters you will be done a LOT sooner. I would send Joe out right away and get that one out of the way.
I know you have concerns on the Spawn times and so I gain am trying to get Clarifications on them and will Update when I do. I do know that in my game, I don’t seem to have a Spawn issue with my Bee Girls or the Bears. I see at least 2 Toad users a day, but will see if I see more this time.
REMEMBER THIS WILL BE TIMED 24HRS ONLY TO COMPLETE WHEN IT HITS YOUR GAME!
TRUE FAN PRIZES
The True Fan Prizes seem to be the usual Decorations of items from the Event Area. I won’t know til I get one if it is animated or a Building instead.
1st Prize: PeterPalooza Sign (Decoration)– Sits on a 2×6 Base. No animation
2nd Prize: Spooner Stage
3rd Prize: Festival Merch Kiosk
GRAND PRIZE: This, much like in the past, won’t be known until the end.
THESE WILL BE TIMED 24HRS ONLY TO COMPLETE WHEN THEY HIT YOUR GAME!
A RISING STAR
This one also popped up for me with the others. I am still working through it to see if it is a Questline similar to those from Mobsters where you can go for a bigger payout. As I get the Spawns I need to clear it, I will let you know more.
I will say that it works well with the other Challenge as it is similar items needed for a 5 Clam
payout instead.
There you have it. A few “side” options in the game. Remember, THESE WILL BE A CHALLENGE. They are meant to be. No simplicity in them so that is why they isolate them to those that may be more likely to go for them. You do not have to complete them if you do not want to.

I’m sad that I won’t be able to get this weeks prize. Because I was able to get two toad guys yesterday but today I don’t see any toad users. I’ve been up since 7am and no toad users came up. This sucks lol I really wanted that prize

Tap on Peter and make sure he does not show the task. If he does… one is in your town and you may not be seeing them. If not.. message TinyCo.

No spawning of bees or toads all day for me either. I only need one more toad and 3 more bees. What gives?

Do able if they spawn. Need one more toad user, haven’t seen any today.
Need give more swarms, have beekeepers walking around, only two swarms since I woke up.

Make sure you have NO more in your town. Tap on Peter directly and see if he has the Toad User task. If he does…. one is in your town somewhere and needs to be cleared.

I think icould have had it, but all my bee girls disappeared. I had like 6-8 including dark bees and now none. I had 2 appear and get tapped, but never tapped many of them-so where did they go?, so my easy even just got harder.
Had 2 toad guys and now only one, but have 6hrs to get another guy.
Anyone else seeing this?

I had several of each this am, When i logged in to reset peter/toads they were gone. Not with bee keepers.
Now only have seen 2 redheads spawn 2times, No dark bee girls.
Assuming 2/2 hrs is their spawn rate (not digging back to check your stats, sorry)

The Dark Hair Girls are no longer in use during Phase 4 (they dropped Blammy Awards)… so they will go naturally and not come back. The Red Head Girls should still Spawn around every 3 hours for a MAX in town of 9.

Would have been achievable if toad users had spawned.
All completed bar two toad users. Approaching six hours to go mark and still nothing spawned.

My connection problems seem to have gone now. Hayley has an 8 hour task, Hold a Peaceful Protest. It gives 3 glowsticks and requires the Glamping Tent.

Ah sorry, I didn’t see that, thanks. My connection problem was a bit random, not sure what happened. I’ll see if it is still working next time I go on. It’s nice to see them giving tasks for previous characters now. I remember seeing all of the tasks for the Star Trek characters when the Mafia event first came out, only to have them removed after a few hours as the payouts were meant to be normal, and not to help with the event.

My connection seems to be fine now, not sure what happened earlier then. I need 5 more Bee swarms which will be easy to do, I also need 1 last Toad User. I had to keep Peter waiting for a bit, 2 2 hour tasks for the next part of the questline, I let him hang around for a bit and 1 spawned.

Joe and Peter will be done with an hour or two to spare, I need three more Bees. I have one in my town, with plenty of keepers being trained. I hope two more will spawn in time to get them all. I don’t want to miss it by a little bit because of spawn rates. I spent 4 clams to speed up a training too. I get why they do it, but I wish they would tell us what the final prize is. I know it leaves the mystery and surprise, but it would also help a lot of people decide whether or not the final prize is worth the effort. I’m hoping that the next ones are like this, doable but a bit of a challenge. I just want to try and get one of these special prizes, especially if this is a character. Although I hope it isn’t GUDG, Rick Astley(I’m sure he will be free as he is in the questline for this week in a few tasks) or Weird Al(because I really want him, I don’t want to miss him because of these tasks).

Joe and Peter will be done in less than an hour, with just under three left. I need two more Bee swarms, I just need the girls to spawn. I am worried now that they won’t spawn in time.

Joe and Peter finished, I came back and two Bee swarms had spawned, I was about to clear them but the app then crashed again. I was worried as when I went back in, they weren’t there. I waited a little bit and they spawned again, I cleared them and got the Signs. 😛 I hope that the next ones are doable without spending clams, I spent a total of 5 to make sure I finished a few things, as I was very close and didn’t want to miss it. I don’t think I needed to in the end, but it wasn’t a lot.

Yeah, I just seem to remember some of the Mafia ones actually requiring clams to be spent due to the times taken to hire thugs, but I never bothered with those so I’m not sure.

I didn’t think about it, I’m back in college(UK) on Monday so j probably won’t be able to complete the challenges as I won’t be able to access my game. Even when I find the time, my connection is poor.

I’m getting worried I won’t be able to do this one. Bears are done, bees will be done with 4+ hours to spare but Toad users aren’t spawning, I need 2 more with only 7 hours 20 left.

I did no reply, i’m now under 6 hours so it’s impossible without clams. I had one toad user before the 24 hours started once I cleared him I it 1 more since then nothing. That means in 18 hours I’ve had 1 spawn.

Finally had 1 spawn but with only 5 hours 14 to go it’s impossible without spending clams even if the next one spawns instantly. Really not happy about how this one has gone. Hopefully if enough people have contacted them they’ll do something about it.

Spawn rates are treating me well. The bees and bears are plentiful in my game, Ive never ran out. The toad users i get 1 at a time, but the new one spawns as soon as i start clearing the existing one.

Hey Bunny, I don’t know who else to ask 4 help because T.C. Was helping me whenever I had an issue until around 2 weeks ago when I first put some real money into the game for the first time, and now no one has written me back about any issue that I’ve had since 8/21 and I don’t know what to do , is there any way u can help?

All I can suggest is followup. If you do not get a response, including automated too, within 5 days… message them back with a followup. Watch though for the automated ones too and respond to ANYTHING they send you. They keep you in the tech queue.

All but the Toad-Licker-Jamming done. Only had two Toad-Lickers the last 17 hours. Right now, Peter is just doing nothing, waiting for a Toad-Licker to pop up… Less than 7 hours to go, so probably not going to make it. Sad.

That is odd if you have not cleared them. Red head bee girls appear every 3hrs. That is pretty standard. If not, message TinyCo from your game.

No, they didn’t come back, only 1 did and I cleared it, nothing since been over an hour. Why would only 1 appear? I have 2 bee men standing by and another one on the way. Good thing I still have
time, I would be panicking by now.

If you tap “GO” on the task itself for the Bee Girls… does it take you to anywhere in the game? Possibly a hidden few?

Bummed! This challenge would have been very doable for me except that for some reason, I am not getting any more bee girls – I only have 1 toad guy and 5 bee girls to go. I messaged tiny co – hopefully they get back to me in the next few hours or I’ll be out of luck… 😦

Word of warning, I am getting connect errors again every other time I try to get into the game, it is making it a bit difficult to get in and complete this so some people might have some problems.

I was lucky in that I had 4 rangers trained and Peter had just finished a toad user when this popped, so I was 2 bears and 1 toad guy up right off the bat.
This should be doable for me, though I might not be so lucky next week.

Definitely doable and isn’t taking me off schedule as I still need tickets from brown bears for DJ Herbrt, so can combine his challenge with collecting those. Looks like TinyCo continuing to show they have learned from the areas where the mobster event fell down.

the worst part of this challenge for me is joe. taking him out of circulation for 12 hours means 3 fewer picnic baskets, which delays the creation of dj herbert. if you have dj herbert or a large surplus of picnic baskets, it’s a different story.

After waiting knocking out my only Toad User it took like 2 hours for 2 of them to respawn, so it shouldn’t be any problem getting enough.

Yup as these get really challenging and Clams may need be spent, they offer them to those who already don’t mind the possibility of spending Clams.
Think of them as a Premium Item or Mystery Box.

I dont think I have any chance for this challenge as I am already spending all picnic baskets as I get them (focusing on gold bears to get the last few LPs) and after starting this before sleep now have only 16 for 4 toad users. Rewards are inventory fillers anyway though, so happy to leave this to the ultra premium players!

I’m happy Tinyco updated some changes to characters and spawn rate but I’m struggling to get LP due to low spawn rate of Golden Honey Bears.

Mine wasnt in my inventory! I was first with 159 and second had 121 when the boards ended so no way i was beat at the last second… If I was it was only because the leaderboards didnt update for 5 hours before the end and I was tricked.

While this first challenge is MUCH easier to complete then previous challenges, this is just another reason for TinyCo to implement a CANCEL TASK OPTION!!!

I will admit that this challenge seems completely doable, and therefore very tempting. Personally, I feel that my resources would ultimately be better spent on the Gold Bears to unlock DJ Herbert (I wouldn’t want to fall behind before the next phase launches). Besides, the prize is just another deco (that has nothing to do with the show) that would probably end up in inventory limbo anyway. So I will be skipping these…
Funny how it popped up for me – I did buy some Clams, but I have not yet spent any during this event…

I just got Alice’s concert done (end of Phase 3) and the popup for this challenge was the first thing to happen, I thought they might have let me start the Phase 4 quests before dropping the challenge on me.

It’s because Phase 4 is where it’s attached. So as soon as game recognizes Phase 4, it’s there.

I can’t believe there aren’t more posts pointing out the fact that they warned us about the timed event! This update deserves some praise for sure! I have to say, some of the last few changes they’ve made have been exactly what this game needed. Keep it up, TinyCo!

They really are making effort in the changes. There will always be things we don’t like, but that’s because they’re a company first and foremost. They need to pay their employees and options to extend the life of the game. But overall the tweaks and improvements just in the last 3 months are amazing.

If you look at the silhouette of the true fan challenge icon it looks somewhat like a wolf/monster/mechanical/five night’s at freddy’s type of thing. I hope it’s a skin or a character.

Too much effort for such lame decos, they should make them 3 days, there is so much going on at the moment, I’m focusing on main quest so I can progress to next phase when update hits, will go for the clam one though happy that’s not timed

The true fan challenge would be doable if so many of us hadn’t been stymied by the Alice Cooper challenger. I’m glad they added more ways to get him, but it’s a sign of bad planning (something that seems to plague this game). Now, so many of us have to just sit by and look at all of these things happening without actually participating in them.

Actually… wait and see what happens when you Unlock Alice if you are not there yet. It is coded for Phase 4, so if you are not there yet… you may still get it once you hit Phase 4. 🙂
It has nothing to do with Alice really. It is very doable with time and effort for majority of Players. The times are fine.

I’ll give it a shot. Can’t hurt to try. Not gonna stress if I don’t get all of the prizes. The pop up said even if we don’t get the first prize, we can still get the next two, so that’s cool. I really like having the buildings and decos from the actual event areas in my town, to collect as sort of souveneirs.

I have the 5 clam quest but not the true fan challenge, so you’re right on not everyone seeing them. That’s not surprising since I didn’t get the 24hr challenges during the mobster event either (except the first by mistake). I definitely have not been getting 4 toad users per day but I’m sure they’ll make an adjustment for those who get the challenge. Good luck to all who get this, hopefully you’ll get a hefty glowstick payout on these along with the decos.

Thank you for posting so quickly. As much as I’d love to do this the time spent just isn’t worth it for a decoration(s) that will wind up in storage. Think I’ll concentrate on getting remaining LPs to unlock DJ Herbert. Good luck all!

Just wanted to add that only the regular brown bears count for both tasks. I wasn’t paying attention and just wasted 6 picnic baskets & rangers on the gold bears…

Has the spawn rate of toad users been shorten? Because if it’s still 1 every 6 he’s it will be impossible to do before the deadline if there aren’t any at the start of the timer.

I think I will try for this. Yea the prizes are “meh” but it does seem doable and plays into what I have been doing anyhow between phases/character unlocking (clearing toadies, and bees, and bears… oh my). Thank you gals for all your hard work! I’m curious though… what prompted your desire to run an entire website based on this game?

WE went looking for the information for the OTHER game we write on, TSTO. The site we found failed and we again were left without a way to find the details we wanted. However, by then we all knew where to look. Instead of just messaging all our friends back and forth… we made a site for US. Didn’t expect the following we got. I wanted the same for Family Guy and reached out to Matt as soon as word was out it was in production. Months later, Family Guy Addicts was born. 😉

I was already clearing a toadie when this prompted, then I sent Peter on a 2 hr task (thankfully) and another toadie popped up right away… perhaps the spawn for them has changed?

Like I stated in this post, I was concerned on that and addressed it right away. They told me no worries, they were already on it and will ensure you get at least the 4 within the time frame allotted. 😉

Update, I just loaded my game 10 minutes ago… 2 more toadies appeared! Woot! with one down, my last 2 are there waiting for me! I am very pleased with this event. I have forgiven TinyCo of their …. well mobsters… so much so that I purchased Deadmau5! Yeay for music!

Three of them popped up straight away. What is more honey bears are also popping up – for players not bothered by the challenge (you don’t care for this week’s deco and doubt the other two will be as simple) you can take advantage to grab remaining LPs.

I saw this pop up, I guess I’ll try but it is asking for a lot given the spawn rates. I imagine that the final prize will be the main stage, basing it on previous events and the items being offered here. I think I would need to spend clams for this, and ultimately I don’t think I’ll be happy as I would probably need to do it each week for an extra building. This stuff is nice and I’ll try, but they don’t look great so I won’t bother trying too hard or spending money. I don’t know what the difficulty will be like next time, and assuming it is the stage, may not be worth it. Unless it gives visual tasks for all performers like the Tapped Out opera stage.

I should just about complete it all without spending any clams. It popped last night so I missed quite a bit while I was asleep, but I have looked at the numbers and I think that I should just about complete it.

I love the implementation with it not starting until you press the big button. I was silly not to prep myself a little to ensure all characters were free but already had 4 rangers in my pocket so was an instant 2 bears. Only one I’ll be a little concerned about is the toads as Peter is still 3 hours off completing a task.
This is a massive improvement on the execution of the challenges, really happy about it, kudos to TinoCo! Now on the wishlist is a way to preview the tasks hehe… Oh wait, that’s why we have you doing an amazing job 🙂
