Hey there Toady Roadies!
Looks like that we got that Weekly Challenge into our games now. Many of you will see the Pop Up appear right on your screen.
Tapping on the ! above Peter brings the Challenge into the game.
Let’s take a Closer look at the Challenge itself. Back in just a bit with the details (as I was driving when it hit).
First up, the first item I saw when I tapped Peter ! was the True Fan Challenge, then the Prizes, and lastly a Clam paying task. Now I assume not EVERYONE will see the items listed below. The True Fan Challenge may be same as before and more isolated to just Premium Users on the game. So again, MEANT to be hard and you MAY have to use Clams to complete depending where you are in the game. As for the “A Rising Star”, I am still checking on that one to verify.
Per TinyCo: I was correct. The Challenge will trigger ONLY for those in Phase 4 Content AND have made an In App Purchase.
TRUE FAN CHALLENGE
For this Challenge, you will need to Clear out 4 of the Darker Bears from the game, Clear 4 Toad Users, Clear 12 Swarms of Bees, and Have Joe Lion Grow White People Dreadlocks.
CLEAR 4 BEARS
- Gather 8 Picnic Baskets @ 4hrs each (24hrs) – You have 3 Characters (Joe Lion, Bruce, Mort) and a Premium Item (Nature Gear Emporium) that can get these for you.
- Train 8 Park Rangers @ 1hr each (8hrs)
- Clear 4 Bears
CLEAR 4 TOAD USERS
- Clear 4 Toad users w/ Rockstar Peter @ 3hrs each (12hrs) – These should spawn every 6 hrs. If they are not, message TinyCo from your game ASAP. And no worries, they are making sure ENOUGH will spawn to hit at least the 4 in the 24hrs.
CLEAR 12 SWARMS OF BEES
- Gather 12 Honey @ 2hrs each (24hrs) – You have 5 Characters (Avril, Bruce, Dr. Hartman, Mort, Brian) and a Premium Item (Beehive Tree) that can get these for you.
- Train 12 Beekeepers @ 45mins Each (9hrs)
- Clear 12 Red Head Bee Girls w/Swarms of Bees
HAVE JOE LION GROW WHITE PEOPLE DREADLOCKS
- 12hrs
So as you see, this one is basically to the last moment. Having some Honey, Picnic Baskets, or any Staff Trained already will help you out. Also remember it is a TOTAL of time, but if you break up say the Honey into multiple Characters you will be done a LOT sooner. I would send Joe out right away and get that one out of the way.
I know you have concerns on the Spawn times and so I gain am trying to get Clarifications on them and will Update when I do. I do know that in my game, I don’t seem to have a Spawn issue with my Bee Girls or the Bears. I see at least 2 Toad users a day, but will see if I see more this time.
REMEMBER THIS WILL BE TIMED 24HRS ONLY TO COMPLETE WHEN IT HITS YOUR GAME!
TRUE FAN PRIZES
The True Fan Prizes seem to be the usual Decorations of items from the Event Area. I won’t know til I get one if it is animated or a Building instead.
1st Prize: PeterPalooza Sign (Decoration)– Sits on a 2×6 Base. No animation
2nd Prize: Spooner Stage
3rd Prize: Festival Merch Kiosk
GRAND PRIZE: This, much like in the past, won’t be known until the end.
THESE WILL BE TIMED 24HRS ONLY TO COMPLETE WHEN THEY HIT YOUR GAME!
A RISING STAR
This one also popped up for me with the others. I am still working through it to see if it is a Questline similar to those from Mobsters where you can go for a bigger payout. As I get the Spawns I need to clear it, I will let you know more.
I will say that it works well with the other Challenge as it is similar items needed for a 5 Clam
payout instead.
There you have it. A few “side” options in the game. Remember, THESE WILL BE A CHALLENGE. They are meant to be. No simplicity in them so that is why they isolate them to those that may be more likely to go for them. You do not have to complete them if you do not want to.

I’m having the same issue as most everyone here. Have everything I need but 1 bee swarm. I have 3 bee keepers ready to go, but no hippie chics are spawning. It seemed like before I always had an endless supply of them. 53 mins left hoping I get the last one.

Had 4 bee hive guys read to go with 20 mins left. the spawn rate of the bee swarms drastically dropped off for me just as this task started. Don’t know if that was intentional. Usually there would be three or four spawn for me every 2 hours or so, the past 24 hours (the time for the task) the spawn rate was 2 per every 2 hours. Just enough yes, but it seemed that the swarms that I had disappeared (or at least to my POV).
Anyway even having only 6 out there this morning (6AM EST) I would of thought there would be 6 that spawned by the time my tasked ended (6PM EST)

Yep, same as you all. With 20 seconds left, I look a screenshot, I only needed 1 bee girl. I had waited for an hour for one bee girl to spawn. And obviously no way to spend clams for it.

Add me to the list of not enough bee girl spawns. Pretty disappointing. I watched for 36 minutes, and not a single one.

I needed to clear just one more Swarm of Bees and suddenly none were spawning with just minutes to go. I emailed Support because this is the first time I was missing Swarms. So upset that I won’t get a shot at the grand prize.

3 hours left exactly…still 4 bees to clear….4 bee keepers standing by. I literally played this game every hour or 2 for 24 hours straight…even setting my alarm at night. Even spent gold to speed up several of the stages. Nothing I can do to speed up the spawn rate. If I don’t make it …it wasn’t possible. Period. I essentially kept the game running 24 hours and paid cash on top of that…..
Sent in a message to Tiny Co…that spawn is broken and solely determines my success or failure.

Ended up not making it because of the bee swarm spawn rate. I didn’t spend any clams but even if I had it wouldn’t have made a difference because you can’t rush the spawns. The only way I think I could’ve made it is if I had woken up in the middle of the night. Kind of stinks, but no big deal. Nice event so far.

This challenge makes me want to stop playing the game. I had everything completed but I needed only ONE more Swarm of Bees. I even had a beekeeper waiting. Then I just had to watch the time tick away with an incomplete challenge. Now I will not bother trying to win any of the other challenges.

I am having the same exact problem. I have 40 minuets left and need one more swarm of bees. I have been waiting for 2 hours.
I never ran out of the bee swarms before!!!

I am sitting here with five minutes to go and hoping for a single swarm to show up. I set my timer throughout the day and night to make sure I’d be able to complete it … and one single bee swarm is going to screw me out of it.
I really hope they do something to fix this.

I’m waiting for 2 bee girls. I got the bee hivers like 4 hrs ago & I only got 1hr 31 min left. Why are the bee girls taken a long time to respawn?

I did it no clams spent. Took me to the last 30 mins though cause all a sudden no bee girls would spawn. That was annoying and weird because I’ve normally had an unneeded surplus.

I have 4 hours and 50 min left in the challenge and all I need is for 5 more bee girls (or officially swarms of bees) to spawn. I have enough time to create beekeepers. I hope I make it! I’m going to send a message in-game and hopefully they’ll spawn more.

Like everyone else the spawn rates got me too. About 20 minutes left on my quest now and i need one beegirl. Was doing great and having fun now i am just kind of sad. Contacted tinyco a while back but still no word. I knew id have to rush peter and his last loopy eyed toad user. What i really found crazy was to rush peter on a toad user is 28 (?) Clams on a 3 hr. Task. ( arnt most rushes double the time taken? Ex. 2 hr task = 4 clams ) Waiting until the last minute so the price drops(hopefully ill get that spawn drop as well). Besides the bad spawn rates for this little side mission the event has been great though. Much less stressful than mobsters. Thanks for the good work Addicts! You make the game much less frustrating than it would be. Much love.

Had to wait for toad users to return and then didn’t have enough time to complete the task. I was considering completing it with clams but I also needed 2 more bee girls and they didn’t spawn before the event ended for me. So disappointing that there aren’t enough people to clear in a specific time based quest.
With that one incomplete there’s no need to do the others when they turn up as I’m already ineligible for the grand prize. If the grand prize turns out to be the stage or some other cosmetic scenery then it won’t be so bad.

I was able to finish the challenge about an hour before the timer expired. I received the sign and placed it. However, when I logged in now it doesn’t look like it saved. I no longer have the sign and the task to “Get the Peterpolooza Sign” isn’t checked off. Don’t really care about the sign, I just want to stay in the running for the final prize.
I already contacted them through the game to see if they are able to do anything. Just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat.

Same thing happened to me. I completed the event, placed the sign in my town. Then when I came back am hour later, it was all gone and time had expired

Bummer, hope they can make it right. If you aren’t doing it already it’s a good idea to make a habit of taking a screenshot of all prizes, character unlocks, or other important progress in the game just for scenarios like this.

Do you have any idea why A rising star has not come up for me? I have just completed the 24 hour challenge but still no sight of a rising star. Thanks for any help

Well, I was close, I had the bee keepers ready to go, and no more Hippie Girls spawned. I ended up 3 short simply due to them not spawning in time. Bummer.
I sat and watched the last 20 minutes tick off the timer just hoping they would pop up.
The real kicker is that, now having missed part 1, the “Real Fan Challenge” quest is still there taunting me! lol

The fan challenge no. 1 didn’t seem to be much of a problem, ample time to train staff, get the toad users and the Joe task. But somehow the bee girls stopped spawning this evening, have been waiting for some time now, four beekeepers running around, but still missing two girls and only 6 minutes left to finish. Another disappointment, and even though I was determined not to care so much I am not sure I can take anymore from this game.

As noted up top… this it essentially ONLY for Premium Players as the requirements to pass may trigger a potential need for Clam Spending. So Freemium players that do not buy Clam items will not see it. Also, Phase 4 too.

So I just completed Part 1 – a little disappointing that all it gave me was the sign. I was kinda hoping for a nice chunk of glow sticks or even better, an album or two 😋
But, do I click on the Go tab for The Spooner Stage or do I have to wait for certain time?

It honestly depends HOW they drop it in the game. It usually is as soon as you tap on the Character (usually Peter) and the ! over their head.

Well,well, looks like ill have to waste my free time sending them a complaint to hope for compensation that I probably wont receive..I even blew 18 clams to hurry up a few workers to make sure they’d be ready…..The swarms of bees just didnt spawn.

Same with me. There’s a pretty big problem when you have to wait on the game to provide you with what you need to complete a challenge. You should have control over how you do the challenge…not the game.

Yeah, looks like I’m missing out on the Grand Prize. It’s nobody’s fault but my own, I should’ve kept in mind that I needed to clear the Bee Swarms to make room for more. I wish I didn’t have to waste 70 clams rushing the Bee Keepers for no reason. I just hope that the grand prize isn’t a character, and if it is, if there’s a premium option to get it.

All I got was an automated message that there were spanking ad intended. When I replied that I was not seeing the spawn rates they did I should be expecting I basically got a “sorry”.
I did inform them that I wanted to return the ranger station that I bought at the start of the challenge since, silly me, I was worried only having four staff at a time would be the issue. Now they are staying around with nothing to do.
They did give me back the clams, but it ruins the rest of the challenge. I’d pay clams for one swarm.

Gah, I wish you can just use clams to make Bee Swarms appear. I need 5 more with an hour and a half remaining and I have the Bee Keepers waiting.

Oh geez…6 hours and 35 min left and I have 6 bees to clear. I have had plenty of beekepers ready but the bees girls are spawning very very slowly. Unless they spawn 1 per hour I’m out and I have been playing every 2 or 4 hours since I hit the timer start. Nothing I can do if they don’t spawn….

I need two more bee girls, am waiting for the beekeepers to be trained and the girls to spawn, and I’ll be done with the weekly challenge. I should have about an hour to spare. I hope the grand prize is good, unlike what I remember it being for the Mobsters event.

I finished with 50-some minutes to spare. I was sweating it a little because I had beekeepers ready but no swarms and they spawned just after the timer went below an hour. I hope the other two challenges are about the same difficulty.

Is anyone else having problems with enough bee girls spawning in their town? Long story short only two are showing in my game every 6 hours. I need two more and my timer is down to 3 hours with last spawn 2 hours ago. I want to advise TinyCo but I’m still waiting on them to reply to other issues reported two weeks ago, so minimal confidence anything will be achieved in doing so.

I needed two toad users with 7 hours 50mins to go. Waited an hour none showed up emailed them when they got back to me I had 4 and a half hours to go saying all was normal then suddenly 3 turned up with not enough time left to clear now.

Done with about 3hrs to spare, I did have Peter on a “toad User” when the quest hit but they are still popping up a lot, I also have some Honey and Picnic Baskets banked, and the Ranger station, so it was easier then trying to do completely free, I didn’t get the station JUST for this though so with that said not too bad.
Are people leaving there games on or quitting and going back in? Not sure if this would affect the spawn rates, just a thought if anyone is it may help to close and come back?! I had thought I might not get enough Hippie Bee girls but was fine!

Well they’ve done something as I’ve just had 3 Toad Users spawn at once, shame it’s too little to late. I don’t have enough time left to clear what I need to and the Clam cost to rush is stupidly high for a 3 hour task,

My suggestion… if you want to do it… wait til the last possible minute to forward it… then the Clam cost will be the lowest possible. Otherwise… message them what happened and your only option and see what they say. 😉

My third arrived with just over three hours to go. To forward at this point is thirty clams. No deco is worth thirty clams.
Now have two additional users roaming in game!
Got standard useless message from TinyCo.
Will not be wasting any more time on these timed challenges in future.

Yah… NEVER fully speed a task. Ever. Try to run it down as low as you can. It is costly to speed many tasks. Probably the majority where my Clams go each event. Speeding.
I think this is also why they try to only offer these to those that make in app purchases… as it will at times come to a point that they may need to be used… so it becomes a premium option. That and the higher challenge element of it all. Just remember they are an option and not a requirement. So if you don’t like them, by all means… give them a pass. 😉

But the failure to procure said prize should be as a result of not wanting to use clams not because of poorly coded spawn rates e.g., bee girls from every 3 hours to 6).

I get that. The thing is, there is a MAX on some of these items so no more will trigger til all on the “play field” are cleared. So unfortunately those not clearing them all as soon as they dropped may have held up more possible spawns. In the 3 I tested it out in… 2 I cleared as soon as they hit and they were spawned properly. The one I did NOT clear on time, I cut it right down to the last 10 minutes.
So this is also part of the Challenge aspect… got to be on top of it to clear it. I know it’s nail biting… but it is part of the Challenge to be on it.

Also having issues with Toad users. Since the 24 hour challenge went live, I’ve only had two materialize in my town. Now at only 4hrs and 28min. left I’m starting to get nervous that they won’t materialize in time for Peter to complete the three hour task. The only reason I’m at 3/4 for that is because Peter was already halfway through a toad task when the challenge went live.
Also have Bee Keepers with nothing to do as the hippie bee girls haven’t respawned yet, but I’m less concerned with those since I have only two to go, I have the Bee Keepers all ready, and they are pretty immediate.

Emailed them earlier and finally heard back – they stated that the drops were performing as they should be, but if toad users hadn’t spawned in more than 8 hours to contact them…which seemed to be a bit pointless considering the reason I’d emailed, lol.
Interestingly once I received that response the last toad user and bee girls I needed appeared on the scene. Just waiting for Peter’s task to finish and should have this sewn up.

Lol. Well I am glad they spawned. I have been watching it and seeing how everyone’s drops went for it as the Toad Users were my main concern with a 6 hr spawn. So far… most are saying they showed up with still time to go. 🙂

I see a definite theme in these comments. I have 4 hours 30 minutes remaining and still need 1 toad user which will take 3 hours to clear (without using clams!) If TinyCo said not to worry, there will be enough, then I guess I’ll try not to worry for another hour and 25 minutes. After that, let the worrying begin!
I don’t even want to think about the 4 brown bears I cleared that could have been 2-3 golden bears, potentially giving me the records needed to get DJ Herbert up and running by Thursday!
My hope is that future challenges won’t conflict so much with the main Palooza events (which also have time limits!)

Right now I can’t even start a third bear woman because of all the beekeepers walking around waiting on bees.
FAIL.
I have 4.5 minutes to go, but my last spawn of bees was with 1.5 hours to go so I’m not holding my breath.
