Hey there Toady Lickin Roadies!
WOW! So much going on. Musicians wandering around and performing Concerts, Mecha Astley screeching and stomping round town all Godzilla like, lil Robot Mechanical Bugs that like to poke Mechanics in the leg before shooting Lasers at them… and in there some New Characters.
With all these new additions to PeterPalooza in our game, many wonder about these New Characters and how they can help you in your game. New Characters like Ricardo.
Let’s take a look at what Ricardo can do in our silly lil games.
Ricardo was a New Character added during the Fifth Phase of PeterPalooza 2015. As with (almost) all Characters in TQFS in order to unlock him you’ll have to collect lots of STUFF.
First you had to head on over to the Festival Merch Kiosk and tap on it to find Ricardo with the other New Phase 5 Items.
Tapping on “GET” below Ricardo’s image brought you into his information screen and the list of items you would need to collect to bring him into your game.

10,000 Glowsticks
35 LPs (Common): Concerts OR Deadmau5 Try on New Hats OR Honey Gold Bears OR Rockstar Peter Sign Autographs
40 Lighters (Common): “Rock Show” Sideshow OR “Pop Show” Sideshow OR Concerts OR Greased Up Deaf Guy OR Zoopi Lighter Display
10 Short Shorts (Extra Rare): Candy Necklace Factory OR Platforms Aplenty OR Sam Doody’s Guitar Store OR “Hurt You” Acupuncture Group OR Jerome Play Darts OR Bonnie Go To Ladies Night OR Lois Freshen Up
He does come with a Questline, A Skinny Filipino Boy, more on it in another Post. 
Ricard0 does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn Glowsticks & XP. He also has one Task to help earn Hearing Aids

*Some of his Tasks payout seems a lil off, TinyCo is aware. Also, his “Chase Jasper” Task in currently not animated. Will add an image when they complete it.
**Note: Within an Event, tasks may change and vary as the Phases come and go. So some of these tasks will be temporary. Others may be one time use. Some will stick around even after the Event. We won’t know until the Event Ends.
And there you have it my friends, the complete breakdown for the ever so flamboyant Ricardo! Keep in mind that you have til the END of the Event (17th) to get him. There is no rush. I just wanted to put his info out now for all those wondering if he is worth it to get now.

Thinking I have a ways to go for either…. If Ricardo doesnt help for anything other than hearing aids, I’m going to pass on him for sure. 10,000 glow bands is just too many. Finally bought all but 1 building that is needed. Woohoo….. Now its those darn tickets! 6 more. 🙂

Iv had all the Ricardo items for sooo long (Deadmau5 has no other helpful tasks than LP’s) but every time I get enough glow sticks there needed for other more necessary items or characters I just now am about to hit the 10,000 glow stick mark again. And it figures that I just finished the hearing aid item haul:$

Why can’t he drop the grease instead?
I’ve got 30 grease and all the hearing aids already.
I’ve got 11,000 glowsticks and all his items but I don’t think will redeem as I think there’s going to be a huge amount of sticks needed in the next part.
My advice is save the glowsticks. For now.

Hi. At least in my game Ricardo’s 6 Hour Taks drops 6 Glowsticks and not 2. When I unlocked him I’ve already collected all the Ear Aids, so i cant confirm if it changed after it…

I would love to have him, but I am so behind, still unlocking dj herbert and carl. I would much rather be unlocking Ricardo than those 2

Drop rates are seriously messed up in this game. I don’t even care about Ricardo and I have more shorts for him than tubs of grease for GUDG.

That is how it should be. Ricardo should be unlocked first so he can help with GUDG and the Hearing Aids. 😉

Order characters should be unlocked shouldn’t change the math for the probability of their required stuff dropping. A Very Rare drop should not be dropping more than a Common drop. I mentioned it only as an oddity any way since even if I had the 10K GS I wouldn’t be getting Ricardo. I’ve already spent 4K GS on a character I didn’t care about because he’d help get Alice faster and not only was he no help with Alice, but spending the GS to get him cost me days of progress while I built my way backup to the 2500 for Carl.

That all depends on their drop point. I have found the silver robots are common. The Gold vary from Common to Rare. So it seems like 99% of my Silver gave me Tubs where as around 50-60% of my Gold gave me one overall. (Though all of the last 6 gave me one and the odds seem to be getting a bit better on them)
Either way. GUDG isn’t set to unlock until Part 2 items released too. So still… it is more likely you will get one before the other. 😉

In my game, it’s just the opposite. The gold bugs drop practically always, the silver ones are a waste of time and precious wrenches.

I need one more ticket to get Ricardo. Which I have rangers in queue now! I have almost 14,000 glow sticks but I might wait until after tomorrow’s release and see what I’ll need there! My question is how did you get Jasper? Past event?…or maybe they will release him tomorrow?
Also I can now breathe!…I unlocked Rick Astley about an hour ago! Every time the stage concerts were done I’d hold my breath for the last 3 shirts I’ve needed for the last 3 days! I was afraid I wasn’t gonna be able to advance.

I unlocked Ricardo this morning but unfortunately I had gotten all hearing aids for GUDG before that. They should give him a task to drop the tubs of grease also.

I don’t see how I’m going to get all the Records, since I never unlock characters in time before the next Phase starts. I’m forced to do it the hard way with just Rangers because Peter is the only character able to attack Mecha Astley.
PS – Bunny, please, open a new WTD thread so I can complain about Mecha Astley. I can’t hold it in any longer.

i connected with wifi when i got home and its working. so i think it might be my cell carrier. my wifes phone was doing the same thing.

I’m sure I’m not alone with this. I’ve collected the 10 short shorts, but yet, I still have the option to get them thru the tasks. Do you foresee any reason to continue to collect them? If not, do you recommend that we keep collecting them?

Known typical every Event issue. When a Character is put in a “craftable” location, there is no way for the game to realizes they have all the items they need until that Character is unlocked in your game.
In Al’s it recognizes the completion. On the Play Area of the game you can check off the Bubbles above their head to complete. So in the Festival Merch Kiosk, with no way to confirm really… expect those items to keep dropping until everything that uses them (in this case Ricardo) is live in your game. 😉

I want he and Rick Astley so bad but I’m only at 400 glowsticks with all that’s needed for the quests and previous characters. I hope I can get them!

Get to the Mecha Astley and Attack and Defeat him as many times as you can to get a boost in Glowsticks
