With the End of the Event on the Horizon, I just wanted to touch basis on one of the cool Features that Google Play provided to the game for unlocking/purchasing Musician Characters for the PeterPalooza Event.
I am speaking of the Free Album Downloads for Google Play users. In this post I will be going over each one in a bit more detail. Also, I am wanting to remind you to download YOUR copies if you have not already as this offer is ONLY valid until the PeterPalooza Event Ends.
PETERPALOOZA ENDS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH, @3PM PACIFIC TIME
First I just want to remind you again that this is ONLY a Google Play Exclusive, so in order to redeem any Album you first need to be on a device that can access Google Play as well as having a Google Play account with some kind of Credit Card to secure it (Google Play Requirement).
Next, some Regions have limitations on the availability of these Albums. Most Albums are available only in the USA and Canada, but more Regions may qualify too. My best suggestion is double check with YOUR Region to see if the Albums will be eligible for you outside those two locations.
HOW DO I REDEEM THE ALBUM?
You first need to get that Character Musician unlocked and live in your game. Whether that is collecting items for them, or paying Clams for their purchase. Either way… they have to be live and walking your game to be rewarded the Free Album.

Once you unlock them in your game and see the unlock “You Got….” Screen, the game automatically takes you through the process to Redeem the Album.
1- You will see the Pop Up telling you that “You’ve Earned…” and the Album. Tapping on HELL YEAH! will start the process.
2- You will see the Album info in Google Play, the cost which is crossed out, and FREE noted above. Tap on “CONTINUE”.
3- You again will be shown the information for the Album, the Promo cost of $0.00, and your Personal Google information like the Balance of your account. Tap on “CONFIRM”.
4- The Album will now be added to YOUR Google Play library. You can listen to it, or just exit out of this screen and go back to the game.
WHAT IF I DID NOT REDEEM IT RIGHT AWAY?
That is OK. You can still do it BEFORE the Event Ends by accessing the Albums in the Event Menu Icon. Tap on the Guitar Icon in the Lower Right Corner of the game to access the Event Menu.
You will be taken to the Main Pop Up For the Event. Here you can see the time left on the Event and off to the Left Side, all the Icon Options for various parts of the Event. Locate the Headphone Icon for Code Redemptions and tap on it.
You will now be taken to the Code Redemption Event Area. Here you can see all the Albums from the Artists YOU unlocked into your game. Scroll right and left to see them all. Tap on “GO”, to see if you already got the Album.
If you see “REDEEM”, tap on it to go through a similar process as above to Redeem the Album on your device and download it into your Google Play Library.

I got a reminder that today was the last day to redeem albums from Peterpalooza. I was able to redeem Avril’s album.
I got the error code BM-RC-20 “Error redeeming code” when trying to download Alice Cooper’s album or Rick Astley’s album.
Do you know how to resolve it or should I contact TinyCo or Google?

What does the Error say exactly? If it is just slow in downloading the album, you will be OK and may need to make some room for the Album on your memory card.
If it is the code itself, Contact TinyCo or Google right away.

I could not get any of the albums I earned, I kept getting errors whenever I tried. I took screen dumps of the two errors I encountered.

I picked up Avril, Alice Cooper, and Rick Astley but the only album showing up in my available rewards downloads is Avril? Any ideas on what I need to do?

I really enjoyed this part of the event, it was nice to get an additional treat with purchase of the clam characters and of course with those you worked to unlock! I looked at snoop and weird Al as free characters with the purchase of their albums or vice versa, free album with purchase of the character! It was really a good idea and a nice touch for this event. Would like to see more of this, maybe movies or TV shows with future clam characters, etc. For example this could have been used in the star trek event, maybe when you purchased the enterprise room to spawn more Tribbles, you might have gotten a free download of the Tribble trouble episode of the original star trek series (just an example off the top of my head) Anyhow, kudos to tiny Co on that one, it was a nice touch for this event.

As far as I am aware, the only album that isn’t available in the originally listed regions is Deadmau5′, which is only for USA and Canada. I still think that that was bad, because he was more expensive than the other characters.

Region restrictions. Sadly only you and your community government can change that. It’s like UK things I want to enjoy here in US but they’re either chopped up and edited so bad or not available to me at all… because region restrictions say I “can’t handle” the content.

Yeah, I can understand why, I just don’t think they handled it too well. I only checked afterwards, I think that if you couldn’t get their music, there should have been a warning message, or a discount. Oh well, it was a nric bonus, it would be good to get more things like these in the future. I’m glad that Weird Al came with one.

Gonna be glad when this one’s done. Way too much this time around — besides poor Stewie has TWENTY Oompa-Loopas to round up. I’ve (somehow) manged to climb to 4th on the leaderboard (32 for now). I do have a chance to pick up 1-2 more before the event ends, but will it be enough top stay in the top 5? No clue.

The free albums is a great feature! I was mostly interested in the Weird Al album (and it was cheaper to buy him in-game than it would have been just to buy the album directly), but I’m happy enough to listen to the others I got for free too. We’re all different, of course, but I probably would not have paid clams for anyone at all if Weird Al had been free to unlock in-game. I didn’t purchase Snoop or Deadmau5.
I’m in England, so the offer appears to be extended to people in the UK also. Glad we weren’t missed out! 🙂

I got 4 of the 6 offered. (I didn’t get Deadmau5 or Snoop, but I am not really progressive house or rap music listener). My only reservation is that they offered the “clean” version of the albums (I understand their having to do this to avoid controversy, if an underage player was playing. I just wish I had the option to get the uncensored version). Other than that I believe this cross promotion was a wonderful idea and I hope they keep thinking outside of the proverbial box when it comes to this game.

I’ve been trying for over two weeks to get the Deadmau5 album. It was never in my Event Hub. I reached out to Tiny Co. They told me to look in my Event Hub. I replied within minutes that it isn’t there and they haven’t gotten back to me. I sent two more messages (5-6 days apart) and still no response.

Yep. Got all the other albums that way. Deadmau5 never showed up at all. I haven’t asked Google Play, didn’t think they could help if the album isn’t showing up in the game. More than two weeks without any reply is a bit much, in any case.

True… but it you have to go to TinyCo… then TinyCo to them… then them to TinyCo… etc… it usually may be easier to just cut to the chase. I am wondering if it was a Region issue. Google could confirm that right away

I couldn’t get any of them for i dont have a credit card or debit card or bank account or a job , witch is probably why im still trying to unlock phase 6 of the event becouse i couldn’t buy any clams. Oh well the albums would have overloaded my data anyways. I hope the Halloween event isn’t so clamy and hope its scary. Lets get some of those characters out of storage tiny co.
