Hey there… Maple Leafs? Lol.
As we just get too bored without SOMETHING going on in our games… TinyCo has jumped right into the next Mini Event. SEPTEMEBERFEST!
SEPTEMBER FEST ENDS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1ST, @3PM PACIFIC
I am assuming this is to tie us over until we get to have some Halloween fun. BRING ON HALLOWEEN! Lol. In order to see the New Content, you will need to be to at LEAST District 3 in your game, Al’s unlocked, and on the latest App Market Version (1.11.5).
This Mini Event will bring Angela & Opie into our games. WOOHOO!! Back with more in a bit.
Quagmire will kick things off for the Battle of the Beers Main Questline.
As far as Lederhosen Perter, he is not in the game just yet… so I assume he will either be a weekend release or just possibly something next Thursday in a 2nd Phase of the Mine Event.

Hi I’m new to the site and could really use some help …In our game I have a quest for Black and White blues pt 1..It says Jerome wants to fit in better with his neighbors and place Hummus Cart…I can not find a dang hummus cart! I’ve looked all thru the decorations where it takes you when you click on the quest..Does it have to be unlocked? TY

I had already completed ‘in memorandum’ this morning with the last task with Opie. After that last task was completed the quest line shows that I still need to do the first two tasks again. I’ve already reported this to Tinyco this morning. I know I won’t hear from them for a while. Has anybody else had this problem?

Ohh ya it takes only 1hr to build the huge Das Boot, i got 6-8 built, better than waiting 12hrs for only a chance at getn one.

Why do we have to pay clams for the Septemberfest archway? They want alotta clams for alotta pointlrss buildings & decorations. Is that the direction this game is going?
LikeLike
There’s a lot of mix of both. They’ll always have premium options each and every event, district, etc. Premiums pay to keep the game running.
Regardless, still optional. You don’t HAVE to buy it. If it’s not for you, pass on it. 😉

I like this event, but find it frustrating that the characters used for tasks (which are 8+ hours long) are the same ones needed for items to unlock characters. I got Angela, but Opie is tough because the people I need are always used for tasks….and hes pricey clamwise. But i like having a little Kaisertown!

Looks like a nice relaxed event. Wish I’d had more downtime than a couple of hours though. Now I can have a German section in my town. A plus for me is that I actually have an Uncle Hans (except he’s Swiss and doesn’t sell pretzels), so I really like that building. Looking forward to the Halloween event too.

What’s up with this whole Lederhosen Peter costume? If it was released next week then how would it help people who already have Angela and Opie?

The Characters are here for 2 weeks. People may want to relax and enjoy and take the full two weeks. So… he will still be valid in a week. Mini Events are a LOT more laid back than Full Blown Events. 😉

I noticed the same with Tapped Out a while ago, it seems clams now cost a bit more. I am tempted by the skin, 300 seems too much, but it looks like it could be good. I would hope that it would be very useful for next week, provided new content drops. We have a pretty long time for two characters, I’m assuming Peter will come next week and maybe Stella, going with the Brewery Employees theme. I don’t know if I should or not. I am tempted to get some, buy Lois and keep the rest for Halloween. I want to buy a lot of things at the moment though so I might put less into the game, as I have spent a lot in the last few months.

I don’t mind Tapped Out, I think it was £1 or so more, TQFS was around £1.30 or something on my normal purchase. If I had known, I probably would have stocked up a bit before Halloween. Oh well, I’ll wait and see. I’ll wait for a Should I Buy or character profile as those are often very helpful.

And maybe because this is a GAME? What is the point of a game with nothing to do? If there is no event, mini or otherwise, I wouldn’t be playing. Sure, for new players it could be frustrating trying to unlock characters and land, but for most of us veterans, if there isn’t anything going on there is no reaon to even open the game.

Plus almost every task is 8 or 12 hours long so it’s not like you have to check more than a couple times a day……pretty easy event to collect items

Poor Tom Tucker is still waiting for microphones in my game… He’s been languishing unlocked with his fluctuating mustache since the last event started. Amazing that he’s almost unlocked actually, his collections get attention only if a character has nothing better to do. Thanks, Stewie!

True but you don’t always have to play a game every single week! As it happens, these two characters are pretty easy so should be completed in 2-3 days total. I won’t see phase 2 while overseas but hope to have Angela and Opie.
LikeLike
Heh. There’s no pleasing everyone.
The problem I have is that I still have land that I haven’t unlocked. With events coming on the heels of one another, I’m constantly at risk of having to build a new building on a time-sensitive basis, so I don’t want to tie up Carlos for two days clearing a parcel of land.

I’ve been stashing clumps of Edelweiss all over town….
Thank goodness they didn’t decide to make beer bottles and sausage the game currency for this event so I can spend coins for once. I’m so rich from all the events not requiring coin purchases, that I can splurge and get anything I want (well, not costing clams) this time, without waiting til the end to see what’s left over. This is such a 1% type of feeling.

Seems a relatively relaxed event after the grind of the last one. Only small complaint is using Peter to collect items for both people and being used through the questline, would of been nice to give the item collecting tasks to anyone else.

The EoM and lipsticks are going to be the hardest to get. Everything else should be done before you finish those. Just build several biergartens and huge das boots and then you can keep everyone working on the other items.

IF you have plenty of Mini-Mart set up in your town…the lipsticks are going to be cake. I have already filled them and I just started last night.

Interesting. Unfortunately i only have access to build 1 mini-mart.
Not a big deal though. Only need 1 more requisition form. 3 more lipsticks and 3 more roosters. So i should have Angela unlocked tomorrow some time.
Opie will take at least 3 days only because of the EoMs. Best you can do is 4 per day if they drop 100%. I expect more like 5 days because they are an uncommon drop. But thats still pretty quick for a character in this game.

I had high hopes on a “Back to the Future” Event for October.
Since we all know, Marty arrives on 26th.

IMHO its best to have at a minimum 2 workers for building buildings. I’m surprised you haven’t already being at D8 since the workload for constructing multiple buildings that take 8+ hours each. The difference in getting things finished is astounding.
LikeLike
I wouldn’t waste the clams. So often you aren’t building anything.
I just look for what moves the quest line, what drops items, and what can be built on the time I have (plan longer build over night, squeeze in a short one before bed, etc)
Then I build other stuff as I want it.
LikeLike
Absolutely buy a second worker if you have spare clams. There are times when you can only build duplicate buildings that drop items while the first building is being built.
In events where several building are required, having one woker on long builds and another on short builds can keep you ahead from the start.
The worker is not a character that goes into storage in a few months, never to be seen again. A second worker is helpful in every event forever.

I wonder if they’re giving us time to unlock Angela and opie in the first part because they’re needed in the 2nd part? Or, they gave us a low-key event after palooza and to ‘rest’ before halloweens shebang.

Agreed. This game is all about you buying more clams from them. Last event was almost 5000 clams, this one already over 900.

You mean a company is going to try to earn back some of the amount they spend to bring you all these items? SHOCKING! 😉
Expect every single Event, no matter what, to have Premiums. How else are they gonna pay to give you a game? Those designers spend hours creating all this. Doesn’t mean you HAVE to buy it, but you do need to understand that there are still bills to pay. You can’t just get it all for free.
Like this Addicts site. People complain we have Ads on the site hosted by WordPress, but are we not entitled to get some help in return for providing you with FREE game help? Seems easy for people to complain items cost them something, but forget those human beings that are providing a service to you out of their own time, work, and efforts. Just sayin. 😉

in need of a quick opinion so would it be a smarter to build BOTH buildings and to try unlock Angela and Opie at the same time??? considering this ends October 1st idk if it’ll be harder to collect both of their stuff at the same time OR unlock one of them first then go and build and collect the other one’s stuff.???

It’s up to you. Both need beer brau. I personally like them both out on mini events

My suggestion would be to get them both out at the same time. There is a little overlap with characters, but not all of them, so you can concentrate on doing the harder tasks first with the overlapping characters. Then do the easier ones, and do the unique tasks at the same time, so you can come close to getting them both before the next characters make their appearance in the second half!

I decided to build Angela’s and Opie’s buildings right after another since tasks for unlocking Opie won’t show up on lists until he’s standing out there waiting to be unlocked. That gives me more choices.

Here’s a hint to getting the Pawtucket Premium Brau faster just buy various Huge das boots since they only take an hour to build and guarantee you a boot(every time there done building), rather than waiting 12 hous for characters to finish tasks. Should take about 19 hours to get them all 😀

You could do the same thing for the Philosophy Books for Opie using the Outdoor Biergarten. It’s a 4 hour build for 600 coins so it will take longer, 4 hrs X 14 Books = 56hrs, 2.33 days. [I have so many coins that they don’t even matter to me anymore.] The Books are “uncommon”, in my experience uncommon has a slower drop rate than rare. The only other option is having Bonnie twerk it all day and I’m sick of seeing that old lady pretend to be a stripper.
I think the real challenge in this mini-event is going to be the scissors for Opie. only 4 needed but “extra rare”, whatever that means. I’ve been running Bruce and Mort non-stop and have zero so far. I think this will determine whether I get the Lois costume as she would add an always drop to the mix. I think she is WAY too expensive but if I get to the end of the two weeks and am compelled to spend the clams (4 X 40 = 160) to finish up Opie, I COULD of gotten both for 300. I don’t know yet, I’ll wait for 10 days and see where I am on Opie 🙂
LikeLike
“Extra rare” is like “crazy insane” or “super sterilized”

Just a quick tip for everyone; you can build as many boots as you want for the instant item drop and the build time is only one hour.

I love Lois’s costume, but 300 clams?!?!,, No thanks,, by the looks of the required items to unlock each character, they both seem very easy to unlock in 14 days time, so while Lois’s costume may hel0p unlock Opie, since he seems easy to unlock anyway, it appears that people will be paying 300 clams for a skin.
I would be tempted for 100 clams,, but 300 for a skin? Nope.
