The 1.12.0 Version Update to the Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff Game has now arrived. Along with it… a lil teaser of what is upcoming too. WOOHOO!!
Go on over to your App Store and download the most current version of the app. Let me know if you run into anything. Mine went smoothly on my iOS.
Looks like we can be anticipating an upcoming Spooktacular Event on the Horizon. I know I can’t wait!!
Just for fun, let’s start some speculating…. What do YOU think this Halloween Event will be about? What Characters do you hope they will drop into the game? Costumes? Buildings? Decorations? Let us know!

I don’t care about the theme… the cemetery district already did a little Halloween magic in the game. I think we could expect Death to appear this time, just like Deaf Greased Up guy… but what I really, REALLY would love, is that they stop the hiring technique, since is just ridiculous and has proven to be more a nuisance than an entertaining process… unfortunately it seems to be a fad for TinyCo, or/and just a way to stop freemium or semi premium players to achieve more goals than with last year’s Events.
I would really like to have better Event Currency payouts for actions, and less excessive prices for “stuff”…not another 10K cookies/glowsticks character. I would expect a better planning in techniques, including better drops for “rare” and “extra rare” items, being those quite unfortunate choices by TinyCo for timed events..
I hope they change the way they are doing events about tossing so many things to do at the same time, and only with the same 4 characters. Whether they increase the number of characters involved, or just accept the fact that using the same 4 to get hundreds of items is ridiculous.

The Last Halloween’s event for me was great as it’s my favourite time of the year. My only fear are the clams I’m going to have to shell out on this time trying to get all the spooky stuff.

Having a Five Nights at Freddys event would be sweet. I believe both Chris and Peter are too fat to fit inside a costume, so they could safely stay the night there and eat all the pizza!

Is anyone else having trouble opening up their achievements? When I tap the button, nothing happens. I was hoping the update would fix this but it did not.

I Love Halloween and can’t wait to see what they come up with this yr. I thought they did a great job with last year’s Halloween Event. Hoping this one is just as good or better! Some of the deco’s during that event are still my favorite and go well with the cemetery district, like the two little animated zombies. Love them!
I plan on storing away a lot of my stuff to make room for a huge Halloween themed area. I would love a really cool looking animated Haunted House, better trees than we had the first event, the chance to get premium characters we did not get last year. Would love a skin for Quagmire with the ghost mask from Scream/Scary Movie. Zombies and ghosts roaming around. A black cat. And Trick or Treators, of course. Also, maybe a few classic costumes or characters like Frankenstein or Dracula.

I’ll predict Horace, Death and maybe Ernie, whom I can’t believe hasn’t appeared yet, since he was the main antagonist behind this whole hoopla from jump..but, maybe they’re saving him for some epic finale..

A character that I think would fit in nicely with this Halloween event would be Stephen King (He did find his way into the show Via a few different cut away’s, and they did that Viewers episode where they did some Stephen King based stories (Shawshank Redemption and Misery and Stand by Me”
so getting a “Annie Wilkes” Stewie would be cool, and a “Red” Skin for Cleveland.
I would also like to see “Death and Evil Monkey”
Also what I think would really kool is if they implemented some kind of “Exchange shop” store, where what ever the events currency and items to gather can be swapped.
I.E. lets say you have to collect (as currency)
Candy corn,, but you will also have to collect items like
Pumpkins, Scary masks,,Broomsticks,, and Candles,
So lets say that Pumpkins are common and Candles are rare,, you go to a store and exchange 12 pumpkins for 3 Candles,, broom sticks are uncommon so you would trade 9 broomsticks for 3 Candles this way you could burn up those 90+ commons that you really don’t need anymore in week 4 of the event for the items you really do still need like the rare,,or very rare type items, nothing sucks more then ending an event having 100+ of this and 80+ of that and 60+ of those but being 2 shy of the item you need to unlock the Deco you really really want.
ALSO I really really want to see Bruce Campbell as ASH,, (from the “Evil Dead series”

Maybe an event about the episode in James Woods house. We can get James Woods, Stephanie and Jillian’s boyfriend. And of course some horror movie characters like a real Samara Morgan, Chucky, Jigsaw and Hannibal Lector

Adult Stewie. More iconic horror movie figures. Put Jaws in the water that’s not really used. I did like gathering the candy last year.
I just know whatever new buildings and decorations show up, more land is needed.

A Rocky Horror themed event would be fun, or Young Frankenstein.
I would love to see a Walking Dead event. Get Rick, Carl, Michone and Darryl. Walker costumes. Bicycle girl and other famous Walkers as premium decorations.

Why does everyone think James Wood will come out of this?
Family Guy has had really no Halloween specials except the one I think (and they pretty much used everything in it). All I know is I don’t want anymore ghosts. I mean they’re cool, but I’ve got enough. I’d just rather…fuller characters.

I’m wondering if the James Woods holdup has been a property issue with him allowing the use of his likeness/voice. Sounds very James Woodsian to hold out, to me.
Hoping for characters/skins related to the game. I like the occasional celeb as long as they’re show related, but some have just been so random lately. There are so many actual show characters yet to be introduced that it would be nice to have more Quahogians in play.
Hoping for Bertram, Muriel, Evil Monkey, and Death. They seem Halloweeny enough.

Hi Bunny, I remember awhile ago you were skeptical about iOS 9 and how it might work with apps. I’ve got this update notification now … Do you think it is ok to update now, if they have the bugs worked out yet? Do I need to update the iOS before updating the FGQFS update? Thanks for all ya do for us clammers!

On other game we write on… still seeing issues related to iOS9 Users. It’s hard to say as it impacts every player differently. My iPod is fine. I don’t have an iPhone. I run mainly Android products.

I have both an iPhone 6 and an iPad Air. Both are updated with iOS 9 and haven’t had any trouble.

While I agree with Bunny that it is not necessary, but so long as I have my game linked to an email or FaceBook, I always do a complete reinstall so that old stuff clears out. Probably has more to do with my device but I can usually get to the next update before my game becomes completely unplayable. Before when I was just taking the new update, my game became unplayable part way through the next event and I had to do a reinstall anyway. These events are coming so fast and furious, I just do it every new update and I seem to be better off doing so. Hope that helps someone!

Hoping for an appearance of Godzilla and Mothra, Chris dressing up like Bill Cosby then changing his outfit to Optimus Prim, an appearance of the pink panther, possibly a reference to Culture Club and Karma Kamelion. Halloween on Spooner St. 2010. But would still like to see maybe a rendition of Scream “Mr Ghost Face”, Jaime Lee Curtis, or Gremlins, Chuck from Child’s Play, or even Michael Meyers. Since we already Had Jason, Freddy, Alien and Predator.
