TinyCo has dropped into my lap a “TEASER PICTURE” of the rumored upcoming Christmas Event. I will show you more on that in a bit. In the meantime, here is the Teased Christmas info again via the App Market.
One of our Awesome Addicts Helpers has some Christmas Speculations she wanted to share, so I will place that first following the break, then the CHRISTMAS SPOILER IMAGE following her thoughts (so you don’t have to look if you don’t want to…but I know you wanna. Lol).

As the Thanksgiving Event is about to come to an end, we thought it could be fun to think about what TinyCo might have in store for us for the next BIG EVENT – Christmas! Some of you might have seen the information in the app market, which has some lil teasers (See above).
The North Pole is under siege? Sounds like we might have another boss battle on our hands haha! At any rate we’ll be fighting some bots and joining Team Santa in… Raid to the North Pole!
So, what might we expect from this Christmas special? Last year we got lots of cool stuff like Jasper, Babs, Jesus… It was very seasonal and we got cool snowy skins and TONS of Christmasy decorations for our Quahogs. Plus we got to fight a Yeti! Who knows if any of this will return again, but fair warning, if it does it’ll likely be for clams, plus Jasper was only just re-released in the Dog Multiverse mystery box.
What about the bit in the app info, where it says “Travel with Stewie and Santa to the North Pole”? Of course there’s likely to be a separate event area like normal, but wouldn’t it be cool if it was like the Star Trek event and we were able to go to a cool Lapland style area full of snow and elves and reindeer and er… lots of fighting?! If we’re meant to pick sides like Team Santa maybe there will be a team battle or a bit of strategy involved, though we’ll inevitably be collecting lots of stuff and special event currency to achieve our goals. Maybe Stewie will use this cool snow catapult to fend raiders off!
Perhaps the bots will be some that Stewie has made, like the ones in the Raid to the North Pole episode where he’s made a replica of himself and Brian. Maybe they’ll be Star Wars type robots, but I think we’d be getting our hopes up there lol.
Then of course, there’s the name of the event, “Raid to the North Pole”… This is far too similar to “Road to the North Pole” to be a coincidence, surely? For those who don’t remember, this was Season 9, Episode 7, and in it Stewie and Brian go to the North Pole to kill Santa!! When they get there they find a load of diseased elves, crazed reindeer and a really sickly Santa Clause. Now, seeing as the event describes Stewie travelling with Santa, presumably this won’t follow exactly the same storyline, but might still have the same setting. Those playing last year may recall we got some animated decos of the elves and reindeer – maybe this time they will be NPCs we have to squish? Hopefully we’ll get a cool, giant, scary factory instead of the cutesy toy shops and gingerbread house theme of last year.
What about characters or costumes? We got Santa last year, but maybe we’ll get a different sickly Santa, or he might be available again for clams, or if we’re lucky, as an earnable prize. You never know, TinyCo might be in the festive spirit and release stuff for Freemium players like what they did with Consuela in the Mobsters event. There’s a Family Guy character advent calendar in this episode too which shows a few characters we haven’t got yet like Carl, Neil Goldman and Joyce Kinney.
We just got Death in the Halloween event, maybe we’ll finally get Mort’s son in this one?! As for non-cartoon characters, what about David Boreanaz, of Buffy fame, who appears as the Aurora Boreanaz in Road to the North Pole? Or Ron MacFarlane, Seth’s father, who narrates the episode.
Costume-wise, the episode starts with a cool intro and the first thing you see is Nutcracker versions of Stewie and Brian – I’d love to get those! Or how about a reindeer Brian? Or a cute lil Santa Stewie? Of course the only problem here is that Stewie in particular is unlocked quite far into the game, so it probably won’t rely too heavily on these two characters. Last year we got a Sexy Santa Lois. Maybe this year we’ll get a Sexy Santa Peter haha!
Anyway, the truth is nobody knows what’s coming but TinyCo, but I for one am hoping for the cool elf factory and maybe a kind of battle arena. Feel free to comment below with your own speculations or Christmas event ideas. Do you think my Christmas wish will come true lol?

I’m so ready. I already put out all of the buildings from last year and got all of the snow skins on my biildings up. Hehe.

The first year’s worth of events were so much more fun and interesting compared to these recent ones. I really would like to see something fresh and exciting this time around, but I am not going to get my hopes up. Instead, based on the last several events, I foresee a lot of the same problems, and a ton of people griping about them (while still helplessly grinding through the irritation)…
I fear that we will get stuck with another bottleneck system – whether it be for hiring Goons or crafting prizes. (Were it not for these “one-at-a-time” systems, I might have gotten all the items from the last event.) I also dread that there will be some kind of Mecha-version of someone to battle in the usual “streak” fashion. In short, I am not optimistic that we will see any new tricks this time around.
As for characters, they seem to have already released most of the main and recurring characters from the show, and are now scraping the bottom of the barrel with ones that appeared once in cutaway gags (Diabeto and Detective Scrotes, for example). Nevermind that the premium characters are getting more and more random with each event (Schwarzenegger for Valentine’s or Pat Morita for the Fatfather event – how does that mean anything?). Even worse is the recent phenomenon of Premium characters becoming useless before the event even finishes (Pinhead dropped one measly Rubber Steak for me before he was of no further use – thanks for nothing, TinyCo).
Also not expecting much for buildings and decorations, as they have gone downhill in overall quality. There might be a couple of buildings/decos that are actually references from the show, but the rest will probably be junk that someone pulled out of thin air and thought would be funny. These “wanna-be” items go straight into my inventory the moment that the event finishes (no need to clutter up the limited gaming space with non-Family Guy items).
So my wish is for TinyCo to prove me wrong. Give me an event that is actually fun (rather than a headache). Give me some real incentive to complete the challenges (instead of just grinding for junk). Give me a reason not to shut the game off until the event passes. Is that too much to ask?

Finish everything about thanksgiving yesterday…now i am trying to unlock stewie to christmas, but still lot of stuff required, 6 plutonium, 10 jewels and 12 diagrams. Really takes a lot of time to unlock stewie!!

Seth has some pretty dark places in his soul swirling around during the Christmas season… And I say that as an unreformed grinch! I can’t even watch parts of his Christmas episodes in Family Guy and American Dad, they are real downers. The tank looks nice, though. Until it starts shooting.

What I really REALLY want is… NO MORE Queue/Hiring stuff. It is the worst technique ever to hit this game. Just straight drops from characters, no more Get this, craft that, use it.. and maybe get stuff… It’s BORING. I also would Love a reasonable event that is actually doable in the time they give. No more tubas, leopard platforms, werewolves or 3X hit’em NPC.

I echo the sentiment – no more successive builds or Mecha attacks.
I would still love to see an option where we can gift excess materials to other players or some kind of “food bank” concept where you donate items and other players can go there for assistance.

I’m figuring it’ll work like the Music and Halloween events where things escalate. Tin soldiers march on the town and we gather items for gumdrop ammo. Then it’ll be gingerbread Calvary which we build snowballs for, that cool looking tank which requires Oreo (cannon)balls, etc. maybe some community prizes again instead of random competitive crap.
I’d like more skins over new buildings.

Just some of my thoughts on Christmas:
1) I don’t mind if some of the Christmas items cost clams, I just really hope that the majority of the awesome stuff will not be in a Mystery Box. I would much rather just buy the items directly for clams, at least then I won’t feel like I am just wasting my clams if the item(s) repeatedly don’t appear.
2) I also hope this Christmas event is not too overly complicated. Many of us just don’t have the time at this time of year, as there is usually too many other things going on (for many of us). I have more time during the year to play this game but not so much at this time of year. Please just go a little easier on us TinyCo, if that is still possible. 🙂
3) Lastly, can we have some “summer” Christmas items in the game? A surfing Santa maybe? I do know this is an American game (we just celebrated Thanksgiving in the game after all) but it would be nice if TinyCo could acknowledge that people from other parts of the world also play this game. How about giving the people in Australia (where it is summertime) some love as well?

Maybe they could even open some water space and have a “shrimps on the barbie” beach deco song with the surfing santa… that’s like Australian Christmas right? 😛 srsly tho, christmas in summer sounds so crazy ! Maybe I’ll experience it one day ^_^

Yes, barbeques for many people in Australia does mean Christmas and summer. 🙂
Usually instead of “shrimps” on the barbie though, many of us Australians will instead use the word “snags” (meaning sausages) on the barbie, which is an Australian favourite during the summer months over here. Also, most Australians do not use the word “shrimp”, instead the more common word for “shrimp” in Australia is “prawn”. However, thanks (largely in part) to a Paul Hogan (from “Crocodile Dundee” fame) TV commercial that aired in America during the 1980s, the phrase “throw another shrimp on the barbie” was used. I heard this phrase was utilised with the word “shrimp” so as to not confuse the American audience for whom the commercial was commissioned, many of whom may not know what the word “prawn” means over here. Some Australians do indeed now say “throw another shrimp on the barbie”, though I personally tend to hear that a lot less when compared to the” throw another snag on the barbie” phrase. 😉

I should have also mentioned that the majority (probably 99%) of the time when I have heard another Australian say “throw another shrimp on the barbie” it is in jest (joking), probably because the rest of the world thinks that this is something that we Australians say on a regular basis. The truth is that we never do or did until Paul Hogan made that a famous phrase. Especially (as I mentioned), we use the word “prawn” instead.

What i want for this upcoming event is
1.Do not give us limited time characters like you did in the Death Drive-in event that gives you a curtain amount of time.
2.Give us easy characters to unlock and do not give us ridiculous requirements to unlock them so that we dont spend on clams and please give us new premium characters like Jesus,God.

Was hoping to see God released as a character this Christmas since we got Jesus last year!

So I think it’d be cool if there was a choose your own side. The idea came from this thanksgiving event with the branching fat and fit collections. You could choose a path (against santa or with santa) and whichever path you took would lead to a unique walkthrough/tasks and you’d get certain decos, items, and character(s)/skins.
*This wouldn’t have to be hard either, for example deco ideas could be an angel tree on one path, and a devil tree on the other.
*each character could have tasks from both paths but only your paths’ tasks will grant you items or succeed in quests.
*character skins could be like Rambo Jesus on one path and Hawaiin Jesus on the other
*So basically skins are what makes it different, along with the quest/dialogue
Then for weekly challenges you’d randomly have players assigned who are on team santa (or the antithesis) and your team competes against the other for a prize item or whatever.
Then AFTER the event have like a New years Sale for people to buy decos, items, or character(s)/skins from the other path that they didn’t choose. I think it would be fun AND TinyCo would most likely profit from those who are completionist. At least in my mind that would work

I feel like there’s been too many tanks in this game. We need no more. And I’m nowhere near close to get thanksgiving. But I do hope to see some kind of mutant animals again. Maybe a mutant reindeer character from that deco last year. Wouldn’t be the first time they took a deco into a character and we need more animal characters.

Yeah, I was speculating it was going to be highly revolved around the Road to the North Pole episode, and certainly hoping for that as I love that episode. Definitely hoping for the Factory / deformed elves and all that. Having Aurora Boreanaz as a talking deco would be great.

Yeah. I too believe that by the description that Tinyco gave of the Christmas event that we will have a separate area for the event like we had for the Star Trek event. I am also hoping for Neil Goldman to show up.
