Teddy Bear Drummer Challenge

Hey there Ho Ho Ho’s!

The first of the Challenges has been dropped into our silly lil games. Keep in mind some of these Challenges will be… Challenging. That means you may have to spend Clams on them to complete them depending on where you are in the game. This does not mean you HAVE to do them. These Challenges are completely optional and YOUR choice to do.

That being said, let’s take a look at this Week’s First Challenge.

HummaBlocko Hovercraft

First up, the trigger point. You will have to be to The Elf Empire Strikes Back Pt. 3 in order to see this Challenge.

TEDDY BEAR DRUMMER CHALLENGE-TIMED 48HRS

Santa triggers the Challenge at the North Pole

Defeat Attack Santa’s Village 2X- 4hrs. This means COMPLETELY defeating 3 Buildings. So if you have not leveled up the Village Buildings, this will cause them to Upgrade and increase in strength. Be prepared to Level Up your Humma to counteract this and be able to do it twice. This has been changed to just attacking any of 1-3 Buildings Twice. All you have to do is start the Battle for it to count. (It did NOT count the Battle I had just finished, but had not check off yet. So only NEW Battles started will count)

Attack the Broken Toy Camp 5X- 6hrs each. This is just ANY Battle. So 1-4 Buildings. Anyone will do as long as you Destroy at least one Igloo at the Broken Toy Camp. All you have to do is start the Battle for it to count. (It did NOT count the Battle I had just finished, but had not check off yet)

Have Santa Gorge on Cookies 2X- 8hrs each. Try to get this out of the way while waiting for Unleaded Egg Nog.

Have Christmas Camo Peter Skewer the Enemy 2X- 4hrs each. Try to get this out of the way between Battles.

REWARD: 1 Teddy Bear Drummer & 10 Silver Bells

Teddy Bear Drummer (Building): Sits on a 3×3 base, Earns $60 & 130xp every 6hrs, Drops 10 Silver Bells.

There you have it. A REAL Challenge for Players hitting our games. I will update more info on the Prize once I have ran through it myself.

Have you seen the Challenge yet? Are you going to try it? Have any tips to help other Players? Let us know.

  1. This is probably stupid question, but is there anyway to find out how many unleaded coffees and champagnes I have on hand? The only time I can see it is when the option to start the attack is present, but it’s annoying cause it makes planning hard when the attacks are underway. Also, does that displayed value include any extra ones you have on hand? Thanks.

  2. Sigh… I ignored this challenge when it was “defeat santa’s village 2 times”. Now that it’s just “battle” it would have been manageable. Except of course now I don’t have the time to attack the toys 5 times and do peter’s two 4-hour actions. I wish they’d have reset the timer. Bunny, how do you get such a fast response from TinyCo? I emailed them about a problem 10 days ago and never got any more than an automated reply back. I just emailed them again but I’m really not expecting anything better.

  3. I sent TinyCo my thoughts on the defeat wording as well, fantastic that they have listened to our concerns. I did suggest to them though if I was planning the challenges, get people interested with easy and get progressively harder.
Personally if I had defeated 4 challenges and it was borderline for the last one, I would probably spend the difference to get the bonus prize.
I should still have time to complete this one…

  4. A new untimed challenge just appeared in my game, called “Santa’s Little Helper Pt. 1”, which flashed me right over to Simpsons! *chuckle* It states it is in the game to help people earn snowflake medals and climb the leaderboard. The Part 1 tasks are Attack Santa’s Village 3 times and Have Santa Gorge on Cookies 3 times.

Because it says Part 1, I am assuming there will be several quests designed to help people gain the medals other than purely through village attacks since the leaderboard totals are not increasing quickly enough to come close to reaching the gaols..

    • It’s an alternate side Questline. Part 1 awards 100 Medals

      • That’s crazy, being able to earn hundreds of medals that way completely devalues the hard work of players who earned medals through repeated attacks.nthis means I now also need to do this quest and take Santa out of action for the cookie tasks. Not too happy about this but at least my Hummer is at high enough a level to still yield a good amount of hats…

        • Not really. It is helping YOU as a player get a Boost as you do tasks you would normally do anyway while you are playing the Event. Keep in mind that the Leaderboard is here until the END of the Event. That is into January. A LONG ways out. So it is not only good to help you as a Player but also to help hit those Community goals for ALL of us to get God in the end. If you do not want to do them, then don’t. It is not a requirement, so no need to be upset about an optional task. Especially one that benefits us all in the end 😉

          • You’re not quite right because having Santa gorge on cookies three times is not a task I would have done anyways and thus did cost me the difference in hats of having one driver less for 24 hours… 😉

But I got my hundred medals so I’m even again with the rest of the pack. I only want Chuggs so that shouldn’t be too much to ask surely? 🙂

I’ve also noticed they have halved the communal target for God, it is now 40 billion not 80. Still a stretch but let’s see how things progress. And I wonder what the remaining communal prices will be 🙂

    • Part two is attacking/defeating both villages. Not sure what the reward will be, but it says defeat the Santa’s Village which I don’t think many people are able to do.

    • At the end of the day…..IT’S A GAME!!!

I am also trying to get as many medals as possible, even made it to 760 on the leaderboard one day and trying to make it back there.

Why does everyone always complain instead of just having fun, it’s a game do the additional side goal and get the medals as well.

  5. Teddy is huge. LOL. So glad you convinced TC to change the requirement on the Humma battles.

  6. gaaaah. So i started it when you had to defeat the humma battle, so it leveled up and made it where i can barely destroy abuilding again, yay.

  7. Adjusting the Santa Village requirements was a smart move by Tinyco. I would have had no chance at completing this challenge otherwise.

    • I sent them quite a descriptive email on my “thoughts” for the Challenge when it first hit. I am glad they changed it too. A lot more evenly balanced now.

      • Honestly this seems too little too late in my opinion. By not resetting the timer, I would have to use clams to succeed. Unacceptable and a massive deterent to proceeding for my game. The pacing so far has only put me behind by about a half day (which is better for week 2 than in previous events). I’m not going to waste my time on this one.

Phew I’m glad I waited to tap Santa, hopefully I can achieve this one now! 🙂

    • Same here. Much more manageable now. Glad i waited. Now i have a ton of lights lol. I will send santa and peter off on their quests now and upgrade the humma so lyle can take out 2 hopefully.

      • Actually it registered my attacks on Santa’s village and 3 of my attacks with the hovercraft. So i just need 2 more attacks with hovercraft and the gorge on cookies and have peter skewer the enemy and I’ll be done.

And part 1 Santa’shelper just started so its going to be mostly completed as well.

  9. The challenge requirements seem to have changed recently; the wording is now “Attack Santa’s Village 2 times” – the two building attack that I just completed gave me nothing, but the two building attack that I’ve just started has been counted.

  10. You just have to attack the village twice instead of destroy it

  11. I’m not going to go for those four challenges and neither will I be saving the crazy 900 presents got this pyramid building (okay okay I’m not a Terminator fan I know) so this should get me nicely on track again. Just about to get the B&B and then Kevin so hopefully it shouldn’t take too long to go to phase three. And my strategy on constantly using Hummer battles at level nine rather than wasting resources with the hovercraft battles at level one seem to work, I’m climbing the leaderboard… 🙂

  12. I am on Part 5 of the quest line and haven’t seen it pop up yet. Is this only for players who spend a certain amount of clams, etc.? And honestly, after doing the Halloween Challenge all the way through and not getting Jerome to be chased by a car for more than 12 hours when I needed one last chase to complete the challenge and get the grand prize and TinyCo NEVER responded to any in-game messages or emails (even to this point!), I am not keen on going through this. That experience soured me on these challenges for good. Even with purchasing clams to finish them. Which I was always gladly happy to do.

    Like

    • That is possible, but by curiosity how many open tasks do you have in your Task bar? If it’s too full, no more can pop up.

Also make sure you’re in the North Pole to see it.

    • I’m on Part 4 and don’t see it yet. I just started attacking the igloos in the toy district yesterday, am working on presents for the third prize with Sarah for the 2nd phase. I have all the 1st phase prizes including Lyle. Haven’t ever bought clams but have used earned clams in the store. Maybe there is some other requirement beyond being in Part 3 before it triggers.

      • It also could be if you do NOT spend Clams, you won’t see the Challenges. Many times they only show for Premium players due to you may be required to spend Clams to finish them… like noted in the post. 😉

  13. Wow! Usually the first challenge is a little easier… Passing on this one, would prefer to unlock everything else. No incentive now to really try for anything else but the kitty looks cool, guessing per usual it will be an NPC anyways.

    Like

    • What’s the kitty the award for? I’m highly motivated by kitties. Not so much by medals.

Bat Kitty from Halloween is still happily flying around my Quahog in the snow. I feel like I should knit a tiny sweater for her. If I knew how to knit. I figure Borg kitty is okay with all the Borg modifications, surely one of them must be a temperature regulator. And Don Corleone’s kitty has the Don to keep him warm.

  14. You don’t have to activate it.
Mine is still waiting for me to tap it.
I’m just going to keep it that way and build up more lights until i feel like i can defeat the village easily twice.

  15. I don’t think I can do it; I’m already on the yellow houses and the next humma needs 17 lights

  16. Is this challenge only available for past clam buyers? I’m on part 5 and it hasn’t popped up for me.

  17. I don’t have the time or clams to commit to this set of challenges, but the kitten is adorable! I am concentrating on completing the main challenges, and am still debating going for skynet or just hoarding presents until the next phase! *chuckle*

  18. Have to skip this one. Right now my Humma just barely takes out 1 hut with all 3 drivers. I don’t think its even possible to get enough lights to upgrade my Humma enough to beat all 3 huts and then do it all again after the huts upgrade.

    Liked by 1 person

    • Yeah. I am in the same boat except now I can take out two buildings and by the time I get my Humma leveled to 9 the Challenge will almost be over with. Tinyco should have thought that first one thru because everything else is manageable.

      Liked by 2 people

      • Yep, I checked mine after I posted and its impossible for me to finish. When this started I needed all 3 drivers to beat 1 hut and earn 1 light towards upgrading my Humma. In 48 hours at best 11 Humma battles can be fought so I can get 11 more lights. That’s not even enough to upgrade my Humma once so I can take down 2 huts per fight.

        Like

    • Yeah, this one favors those that haven’t already upgraded a lot.

      Like

  19. I’ve levelled up my humma so much and attacked so much that even with 3 drivers I can’t defeat Santa’s village. And even if I could, once they’re defeated it takes several upgrades to defeat them again. This is not possible in 2 days if you’ve been attacking constantly like you should have. I’ve messaged support. I urge others to do the same. The rest of the challenge is easy.

    Like

    • I contacted support too. If they would have given this challenge near the first week or start of the second week I would have been fine. Wish TinyCo would just think things through first from a player perspective before doing these.

  20. I’m not going to go out of my way for these weekly quests. I have completed all the previous ones and have always been underwhelmed with the prizes. At least this time they are showing the final prize, and the kitty sure is cute!

Besides, I am still chugging away at unlocking Sarah and Kevin. And since I am leaving tomorrow to fly home for the holidays, I will likely struggle just to keep up with the main quests. Of course since I am not going to try them this time I will go ahead and make the prediction that these weekly prizes will be the BEST PRIZES EVER!!!

  21. A word of caution when tapping on Santa wait until he is free from a Humma battle because it will free him from the Humma and you won’t get the rewards from the Humma battle. It does the same for Peter also.

    • Thanks for this tip. They really need to fix this with a patch – shouldn’t happen. I’ve messaged TC but haven’t heard anything yet.
