It looks like we have been transported back in time to 1999, or is it now? With all the times I hear on the radio or see on the TV “THE END IS NEAR”, I just never know when the world is actually gonna end. Guess I will just have to keep on waiting to kidnap “friends” for my underground shelter. Wait to take out a bunch of Zombies with my real life Maze in the back yard. Wait to see if Twinkies and Cockroaches really do survive anything (well Twinkies almost didn’t survive a company going under”.

EVENT WILL END THURSDAY MAY 5TH, 2016 @ 3PM 10AM PACIFIC (New End Time)
First up, the Basics
- Players will need to be on App Version 1.21.0 so ensure you go to your App Market and download the latest update when it hits. Available for iOS and Android users now! Facebook and Amazon soon to follow (usually Amazon and Facebook take the longest to release from their Markets, so be patient and watch for it.)
- Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s completed
- Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version (iOS, Google, Amazon, Facebook). NOT Windows Stand Alone
- PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points
- Don’t have a TON of Tasks open in your Task Menu. If you have too many open, no new ones can arrive. If you do not see new Tasks popping up, clear out some incompleted Tasks already on your List to make room for more

The First thing you will notice once you updated and reloaded the game is the cools new splash screen, then the game floor (more a desert), and just an overall apocalyptic look to it.

Cleveland: $1000. For those of you that did not yet have Cleveland, he is being offered for coins. More due to he is REQUIRED for this Event. So if you do not have him, go to your Shopping Cart to get him and his home placed into the game so you can use him for the Event.

RADIATION SICKNESS
During the Event, Characters can get Radiation Sickness (Chris will by Peterpocolypse Part 4). If your Character gets it while they are on a Task, the Task will keep timing down to completion, however you will not be able to collect or complete the Task until the sickness is cured.
You will need Clevemire unlocked to cure Characters of Radiation Sickness, so work on getting them as soon as you can. Tap on “SAVE” to start the process of helping Chris.
Payout: Varies, but my game seemed to pay me about 20 Water Bottles.
CRISIS LEVEL
This will be essentially the Event “XP”. Points that you will earn throughout the Event to hit a specific Level to unlock New Content as it is released each Phase of the month long Event.
Crisis Points can be earned all over the Event. From Questlines, Tasks, Buying items, and collecting rent from Event Buildings.
NEUTRALIZATION STATION
You will find this on the Left Side of the Event Area. It looks like a wrecked airplane. Much like previous Events, here will be where you create an item to help you out in the Event. Each item will require specific Materials and time to create it. Once created, you can use it once.
There will be a CAPACITY (how many TOTAL you can have in Queue and complete in your game). My Game Capacity started with 8.
There will be a QUEUE (the MAX amount of items you can craft at a time). My Game Queue was 6 items total can be crafted at a time, up to Capacity.
Net Launcher: Takes 1 hr to Craft, Requires 1 Net
Nets (Always): Peter Go Fish OR Quagmire Get Fussed OR More Hoard Tchotchkes OR Lois Fight for Survival OR Jerome Salvage Sport Memorabilia OR Quahog Bait & Tackle Shop.
MUTANT GOLDFISH
These will begin to appear after Peterpocalypse Part 2. I started with two flopping around my streets. You will need to create items in the Neutralization Station to clear them (Net Launcher).
Also like in the past, you will place the Net Launcher in FRONT of the Target (aka Mutant Fish) and wait for the Mutant Fish to turn PURPLE. Once it is purple, tap the Check Mark to Launch the Net and take out the Mutant Fish.
Payout: Chance of 12 
Water Bottles
POWERPLANT GATE
Tapping on the Gates will tell you how often your “bad guy” will spawn, like the Mutant Fish. It will also tell you when the next Upgrade for the Event (Phase 2) will hit along with how many Crisis Level Points you will need to access the content.
Phase 2 right now will require you to hit Crisis Level 4
TWINKLY TRADING POST
You will find this on the Left Side of the Event Area. It looks like a thrown together Building with lots of “Twinklies” outside. Here is where you can Trade Event Materials collected for the Event Currency Twinkles. Twinkles will be used to purchase items at the Stockpile Tanker. This will be your main source of Twinklies.

I’m ready to buy the diner with my 5 twinkles but when it’s purchasing it zones in and just stays on the area making it. Doesn’t freeze because the windmill is still turning but it doesn’t spit out the diner. I don’t want to lose this time. Has anyone had this problem?

Enjoying the event… so far. But I have an issue with the toilet paper. If it’s just going to be used, and assuming will stay the same for whole event, to buy stuff/decorations in the store, then why not just make every character that isn’t necessary for the story line have a task to get it? If they can code random characters, then they can surely code for all that have been released up to when they did the coding, just kind of random.

Very impressed with how stable the FB version is. I’m going to be in New Zealand for the last week of this event and I’m going to try to do what I can but it’ll probably be a big clam spend. But I figured I’d try the FB version in case I can get my laptop online even if I can’t get my phone online, and I’m really impressed at how stable it is, way more so than either iOS or Android.

Anybody having a problem with Consuela popping up when the game tries to load new graphics from the server? When I first used the net launcher and tried to place the Diner she immediately popped up forcing me to reload the game and redo those actions. I was able to do them the second time.
Also WTD at Chris already being sick from radiation poisoning and I need Clevemire to heal him. That’s something that shouldn’t happen until a few days in. Chris had a “!” just before it happened, so I’m locked out of that task until I unlock Clevemire.

I warned when that would trigger in this post so people could try and avoid it til closer, but he really isn’t a huge part of the Event so far. The Water Bottle Payouts you get from Clearing the Radiation off him will really help.

The clam investment for the Unstable Reactor Core is tempting, but the payout seems to be minimal in the end. If I figure it right, you will need 21 days collecting every 12hrs to get your investment back. That would only leave 14 days of the event to get and additional 160 clams. Granted 160 clams for free is nice, but that dwindles if you miss collecting or can’t sync the timing every 12 hrs. Besides, it would tie up most of my coins I have for something else. Anyone else doing it?
PS Bummed everyone is getting Cleveland for coins as I got him last year for clams and he is rarely used for rewards.

Took me months to earn 400 clams for Cleveland, but I’m glad he’s achievable for a pittance in game dollars now. He’s a major character and never should have been out so far out of reach. He’s basically free-to-earn in this event for people who pay the $1000 to place him from the store, since we need to get the mutant skin for him to get through this event.
Wish they actually used Cleveland’s house (houses, have the Stoolbend one also) for tasks for Cleveland and his family rather than dumping everybody into the Griffin’s house. That place is so crowded. Even people who used to do tasks elsewhere are doing them at the Griffin house now, such as the laundry guy. He used to do tasks at his own shop.

I think it’s only 7 days of extra collection. The 21 days takes you to late April, the clams go away May 5th. That said, yes I’m going for it…I should be able to at least get 25 free, and if I’m really on top of it, closer to 50.

Anyone else getting the Consuela screen with “streak should include at least one streakstage” and not being let in to the game?
I had a problem with the wrestling event where it didn’t realize I had maxi over a week ago, and wouldn’t let me send him to fight. I sent tiny co 3 messages, including a screenshot, and never got a response. I never advanced and gave up.
Now I haven’t been able to get in the game for over 12 hours.. I feel like I’m perpetually behind because of issues like this 😦

It’s nice to see the smith family be useful again lol. It does still baffle me though why they always make the main characters needed for multiple things at once though (nets and materials for costumes). Any reason Brian is constantly under utilized for event tasks? He’s a main character but seems to rarely ever have any tasks to help with events.

Da Boom was one of my favourite episodes, so it is good to see content from there in the game. I saw the Rapture Stan skin on the loading screen, funnily enough we have been working our way through American Dad again and today we happened to watch Rapture’s Delight. I’m interested to see how Clevemire works, or Quagland.

This MAY fall more into a What the Deuce post, but I’ll writ it anyway.
This looks like yet another event that repeats the same problems as before. Princess Bride and Wrestling events were both great concepts that had the OTHER BIG flaw: needing one character to do everything. This one has my main flaw that I see: ridiculous chains of item collection. We must get multiple nets to kill a goldfish to get a water bottle. Get multiple waterbottles to get Twinkies. Spend multiple twinkies to get actual rewards. And I’m sure it will just get more ridiculous as new mutants show up. There’s no satisfaction on completing a task because it doesn’t DO anything. And when enough is finally completed to get something, I realize that I’m so far behind that I’m not going to get the thing I actually want, because it’s the last item in the prize list.
On the plus side, they are using characters from old events!!! Even if it’s just for toilet paper, that’s a big improvement. And I already had Cleaveland from the King Butt event so the free character didn’t help much but hey, it seems that the focus will be split between Quagmire, Cleaveland, and Peter (and maybe Stan?) this event, so again, big improvement. I’m still not happy with how TinyCo does these events, and I’m sure I’ll come nowhere close to getting the things that I want, as I have refused to spend any more money on this game until it treats normal players (ie everyone who isn’t a whale) with a little more respect and the possibility of getting the major characers (Giant Chicken, Bertram) to everyone.
And I know, it’s still early in the event. Things may be all right! I haven’t given up all hope or I would have stopped playing. I just have lost very little faith that they will make the game enjoyable.
But it’s an improvement TinyCo. It’s an improvement.

They actually did make at least one huge coding change with Tan Lines. Characters being used there no longer show up in the find character button in the top left. You have to go to TL to get them. Much better!
My ONLY complaint about Tan Lines so far is already fixed with this update. 🙂
As far as it being in non-Beta towns… likely due so Beta Testers can still visit there friends Quahog and not get errored out. 😉

Ha, ha- I haven’t thought about the Year 2000 episode in a while. The family was saved by walking to a Twinkie warehouse, since of course Twinkies (like cockroaches) can survive anything including all the radiation (hence the mutants) unleashed by Year 2000 accidents. They changed the story to something more recent, since the young’uns wouldn’t remember the Year 2000 panic, when we were going to be immersed in chaos because programmers for the non-macs forgot to make dates work once the millennium turned. My ledger program won’t self-destruct for a few more years because of a date issue, but I’m ticked that they didn’t plan ahead. Not everybody wants to endlessly upgrade. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
I guess they had to change Twinkies to Twinklies to avoid being sued (or charged). I do agree that toilet tissue is a vital supply item, though.
It looks from the splash screen as though they are adding something from the American Dad Armageddon episodes where Stan doesn’t get raptured and is stuck on chaotic Earth and ends up fighting the Anti-Christ after a few false steps. Well, I have Jesus- does he get a Second Coming outfit?

Will be interesting to see how the radiation sickness part plays out, this kind of game play aspect hasn’t exactly worked out all that great in the past, characters locked in building unable to finish a task because building had a latcher on it, now character will have someone on it.

So far I am only seeing them drop from Questlines. Will note if I find more… but its gonna be a while as I have to play through it too. 😉

So far I’ve set toilet paper tasks for:

Tricia
Worf
Mayor West
There may be others for my characters already on other tasks. The in-game faq lists God and Peter also among the characters I have, plus a bunch more that I don’t have, so definitely look at that. The info about who can collect toilet paper is down at the end of the event far. The Smith family definitely if you have them. TinyCo obviously heard our pleas to use more characters. I would suggest pulling everybody out and looking carefully at their task lists, since other stuff can be collected also.
