The Future’s Bright, The Future’s Here

Yes,  Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is finally live in our App stores, and although there’s not an Addicts site devoted to it I thought it might be nice to have a little post up here where we can share our thoughts on it so far.

I downloaded it myself yesterday and it looks shiny and nice but I’m still undecided whether it’s just too much like my favourite game, yes, FGQFS is still my favourite. I know after all these years of tormented play I must be wired wrong to still feel that way, but hey I’m sure I’ll get the appropriate treatment to cure me sometime. But as I say I’m not sure yet if it’s just the same game built around a different show, and if it, I’m not sure I can make room for 2 such demanding games in my schedule. So we shall see, it’s too early to make a decision as yet, I’ll come back to you all on that one. But forget about me what do you all think?

Oh and I’ve not forgot this is the FGQFS site, honest, I’m pulling together info on the new event for a Live post as quick as I can, but I’m currently pulling it from my own game and its slow progress. I know there’s lot questions and confusion in the comments, I’ll try help you out with the information I have ASAP. Until then why not take a trip to New New York and sample the delights or is it delusions of Futurama: Worlds Of Tomorrow.

  1. To all android users who have issue with completing quest “Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is here!”, despite the game already installed.
Try to connect via Facebook and you should see quest completion!

  2. I tried the game. Didn’t like it. I don’t like games where you have to fight. I have no idea who the characters are so it really is no loss for me. I just noticed the Disney kingdom addicts is gone.

  3. I’m enjoying it so far. It’s actually a little refreshing after how frustrating FG has gotten, but I’m going to continue with both. I like the space missions. They may get repetitive but so far pretty cool. They’re easy so far but I don’t mind that a bit. To this point I’ve only had Scruffy defeated on a mission when he was too low of level but it didn’t matter.

I’ve gotten to level 9 with D3 unlocked, currently working on unlocking Kif and getting the Golden Bender outfit. Room for building is a bit cramped so far but that’s expected with the wait for time and enough hypnotons. They were pretty quick to include the available characters icon. The first couple of days it was a struggle to find them with even just one street.

    • I’m still on the first district, but I noticed today they added the option to watch ads for pizza. I was willing to do the $4.99 offer for bucks and pizza just to get a second robot for building, but since I don’t have Google Play store on my Kindle it doesn’t work. But with the tv I might have enough in about a week or so. Wish they would release the app on Amazon. They probably will eventually, but I didn’t want to wait for that.

  4. I am playing that game. It really is kind of a cross between Simpsons and Family guy, but it loads up a lot faster than either of them. I think it has the best of those. Collecting but no timed characters and open ended playing; no events . I am really enjoying this Futurama game .

There is now a quest that points you to downloading the Futurama game in FGQFS. It also wants you to send Bonnie for a water balloon run. Problem is that it’s not recognizing that I already have the game installed, so it won’t complete. The button in game takes you to the download page (Google Play for me). I’ve tried opening the game from there, and opening it normally. Game is linked to Facebook as well. I’d rather not have to uninstall and reinstall it.

Hi players have said reinstalling didn’t clear the task either, so hold off on doing that. We’ve reported issue to TinyCo, will let you know once we get a response.

  6. Can anyone get the “Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is here!” quest to pop? I have the Bonnie water balloons, but it won’t clear “download and install Futurama” – I already had Futurama installed, and I even uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that helped.

  7. I was disappointed that the only save game options are to link with Facebook. Already having storage space issues with Family Guy the quest for stuff and Futurama on my old Android device. I took a screenshot of my player ID but no email or Google play games method of saving game status makes me nervous that I’ll loose my game if my equipment dies.

    • I messaged them them about the same thing (I actually dont have a facebook account) and asked if they could add a login/email option as per their Family Guy game. They replied saying they’ll pass the info onto the dev team, so hopefully we’ll get an update soon with additional options to save progress

  8. I started playing the new Futurama game a little bit last night before I went to sleep and about every 2 hours today. So far I have Fry, Amy, the Professor and Bender unlocked. Seems like quest for stuff but with some off world space missions that have little 8 bit graphic mini games. Not to bad so far, very like quest as you have a robot to build/unlock sections/buildings for you, timed character tasks and pizza instead of clams. I’m a freemium player so we’ll see how long it takes to get frustrated lol. I didn’t know how much I used the addicts site until now, I feel a little lost but it’s also kinda cool just to figure it out on my own I guess.

  9. Well, I had never heard of Wet Hot Summer until yesterday, and while I might check out the movie (it has some good star power behind it), this event seems like a perfect opportunity to take a break from TQFS, and check out some other options. Yes, Futurama is one, and I am also playing Townships (as a result of getting 33 Clams from Clam TV for trying it!), so I will check in to TQFS daily to build up my Clams, but that is all, until late July. By the time the next interesting event comes up, I should be able to breeze through it with well over 500 Clams to play with! HA! 🙂
    Good luck everyone!
And another BIG THANKS, to you, RT, for keeping calm and carrying on, with all that seems to be working against you! 🙂
And many hugs to Bunny!!! Get well soon!
    Sasquatch out! (for now…)

  10. downloaded it yesterday, I like it, but it loads a little slow at times.
yes, it is like FGQFS, but new story lines and quests are a plus, and since I’m a little tired of FGQFS, it is nice to have an alternative.

      • It seems to me that’s the game right now. Once enough people have gotten through the introductory quests and collected the main characters, I’m sure the big events and timed quests/characters will follow. I’m annoyed that they’re already asking you to spend 60 pizza to complete a quest (have to buy Robot Fry skin to play Amy’s The Buggalo Bond quest, on top of having a quest requiring you to buy pizza in the store just to make you spend it). It’s just a little over $2.00 of pizza but still. And 475 pizza seems way too much for Nixon & Agnew heads and I think it’s just a decoration not playable characters even if you get a building which I don’t have room to place anyway since I have t had time to collect enough hypnotics to open a clear space. Okay, rant over.

The game is pretty great. I always chuckle every now and then but my main problem is getting Pizzas (The Donuts/Clams of the game). You can get some by leveling up (at least 10 reaching Level 2), getting halfway done and 100% done with collections (25 and 50 equaling 75 free!). The game has 4.5/5 on Google Play and Family Guy has 4/5. I don’t think I got the Pre-Register Gift, but at least there is a Daily Play system (Day 5 gives you A character worth 275 Pizzas). Also, I would make a Futurama Addicts Site, but I would have to focus on FGTQFS, TSTO, FWOT, and FWOT Addicts. Maybe I could make posts every now and then with others.

    • Yeah, pizza is how they’ll make their dough, so I’m not expecting to get much for free!

      • This game is in everyway better that the family Guy and Simpsons games, the space missions are really fun, the characters say new dialog, the story is amazing, they even let you create your own head in a jar, there are far less premium characters and the upgrading system is a lot easier, getting pizza in this game is a lot easier than getting clams , I am definitely sticking with this game

    • Thanks for the heads up on the daily play thing, would be nice if they told us about that in game I suppose. Futurama has a good bit of characters already in the cart looks like. They had so many guest stars it will be interesting to see as the game life progresses who/what all kind of characters/outfits they will have. I know it’s only the 1st day of the Futurama game but I don’t see them having pop culture events like quest for stuff, wouldn’t quite fit the theme. Of course they could have events based on episodes, Santa, robot devil, the sewers, planet of amazons, come to think of it this game may have a TON of content.
