Guys In Black 101: Space Bats

Hey Addicts, want to join me in going batty? No, okay let’s just chat about clearing them instead.

Yes some cheeky intergalactic Space Bats have landed in our towns and don’t they look like they could suck our blood dry. Ouch!!!

For more information on the Event, go to the Event Page HERE

WHEN DO THE SPACE BATS APPEAR?

At the Part 2 of the Main Questline, Saviour Of The Suburbs, you will be directed to learn about Space Bats.

Tapping on GO at Space Bats Are Here will bring up the Space Bats information box which will give you a lot less information than I’m about to.

WHERE DO SPACE BATS APPEAR?

They appear on the Sidewalks/Edge of Sidewalks of the Quahog road patches, so look near all your roads to locate them.

Now it is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL for you to remove your Roads from your town to keep the Space Bats to one area, just know that the less you have out in the open, the less time you will spend searching for Space Bats.

I had a bunch of them appear in my Quahog as soon as I had triggered Pt. 2 of the main Questline and it would appear they max out at 8. As you clear them new ones will spawn but I doubt you’ll ever run out of Space Bats.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BATTLE SPACE BATS?

You’ll need 2 Arrest Warrants for every Battle you want to start with a Space Bat.

Arrest Warrant (Uncommon): Secret Weapons Room OR Mort Put Up Wanted Posters OR Jerome Hunt Bounty OR Agent Pee Peter Push Paper, Quagmire Put Up Flyers OR Intergalactic Mystery Box OR It Has No Name Drinks Bar

WHAT CHARACTERS CAN BATTLE SPACE BATS?

You have the option to select 2 of your available Characters to Battle a Space Bat. You will just need to make sure they are available, unlocked, and not in the healing process. These are the characters you can use.

Flash God

Flash Gordon

Spacewoman Lois

Hawkman Chris

WHAT KIND OF DAMAGE CAN EACH CHARACTER DO?

The 4 Characters that can Battle Space Bats each have their own Hit Power, Health, and % Chance they will deliver a knockout blow during a Battle and completely take their opponent out. Remember you can also Miss and do no damage.

FLASH GOD
Health
: 6
Hit Power: 4
% Chance: 20% Chance

FLASH GORDON
Health
: 6
Hit Power: 6
% Chance: 20% Chance

SPACEWOMAN LOIS
Health
: 4
Hit Power: 6
% Chance: 20% Chance

HAWKMAN CHRIS
Health
: 4
Hit Power: 6
% Chance: 20% Chance

WHY CAN’T I SELECT MY CHARACTER?

There can be a couple of reasons you are unable to SELECT a Character to go to Battle.

BUSY: If the Character you want to use is on a Task elsewhere in the game, you will see the word BUSY and a GET Icon next to them. If they are on a Task, tapping GET will take you to them and ask if you want to finish that Task right away for Clams.

NOT UNLOCKED: If you have not Clam Purchased a Character or you are still collecting Materials in the game to Unlock a Character, they will also show up with a Lock Icon and a GET Icon next to them. You will need to continue earning their Required Materials & Unlock them in order to use them for Battle.

HEALING: After a Character’s Health is dropped to Zero, they go through a Healing Process (more details on individual healing times below). While they are Healing, you can’t use them to Battle.

HOW LONG WILL CHARACTERS HEAL?

The Healing Times for the characters who can Battle Space Bats are as follows:

Flash God: 3hrs
Spacewoman Lois: 4hrs
Hawkman Chris: 4hrs
Flash Gordon: 6hrs

You will see a HEAL Icon next to them in the Battle Screen along with a timer showing you how much longer you will have to wait before being able to Revive them.

CAN I HEAL CHARACTERS FASTER?

YES. If you want to speed up the Healing Process and want your Healing Character to Battle again immediately, you can tap on the HEAL Icon and use either Clams or a Revive Potion to give them their full strength back instantly. Whichever method you choose the Game will ask you if you are sure you want to go ahead.

If you have purchased any revive potions you will see this message. If you want to use a revive potion simply click YES. You’ll find more on your Revive Potion options in the next section.

If you haven’t purchased any revive potions you will see this message. The clam cost will depend on the characters healing time.

If you wish to spend clams for a one-off Heal imply click YES. The costs per Heal time are as follows:

8hrs = 72 Clams
6hrs= 64 Clams
4hrs = 55 Clams
3hrs = 50 Clams

But bear in mind this isn’t often the most cost-effective method. As if you purchase any of the revive packs, the clam cost per Heal will be cheaper. For example the 3 revive potions pack costs 150 Clams, so that works out at 50 Clams per Heal.

REVIVE POTIONS

There is a Revive Potion Icon above the Characters in the Battle Screen that will show your current available count of Revive Potions.

There are now a few ways to get Revive Potions with this Phase, these are:

Revive Positions: Jarra Joe Go On Patrol OR Intergalactic Mystery Box OR Buy From Store  (costs of packages below)

x3 Revive Capsules150

x8 Revive Capsules340

x15 Revive Capsules600

WHAT KIND OF DAMAGE CAN SPACE BATS DO?

Remember Space Bats will be battling back against your Character. They also have a Health, Hit Power, and Chance of dealing Knockout Blows (though it is an unknown %). They can also Miss with an attack.

Health: 15
Hit Power: 4
% Chance: UNKNOWN

WHAT KIND OF REWARDS CAN I GET FROM BATTLING SPACE BATS?

The Rewards you will receive will depend on whether you WIN (NEURALIZED) the Battle or simply DAMAGE the Space Bat during the Battle.

These are the kind of Rewards I saw in my game. Keep in mind some rewards  such as Mongo Swords may only show when a Character, such as Flash Gordon is placed in your game for unlocking.

WIN Chance Payout:
  +24 Power Rings
 +1 Mongo Sword
+ 10 Alien Slime
+20 MIB Badges
 +2 Red Flower Necklaces

A Winning Battle means that you dropped the Space Bat’s Health to Zero, even if your Characters are wiped out in the process too.

ATTACK OVER Payout:
+15 Alien Slime
+5 MIB Badges

Cost: 2 Red Flower Necklaces

An Attack Over Battle means you were not able to get the Space Bat’s Health to Zero before your Characters health was fully depleted.

HOW DO I START A BATTLE?

Simply find a Space Bat and tap on him and his Battle Screen will open up.

Then Select your Characters to Battle the Space Bat. You will see you can choose 2 characters to battle Space Bats. Basically you want to choose your best combination to take the Space Bat out in the least amount of battles, and to be honest I’m not doing breakdowns of each combo as you know the drill by now. (And remember you can UNSELECT a Character if you change your mind)

You will need 2 Arrest Warrants for Each Battle. Once you have selected your Characters AND if you have at least TWO Arrest Warrants, then you will see the Button under the Space Bats’s image light up green with BATTLE. Tap on it to Start the Battle.

Once a battle is underway you can only sit back and watch, you can’t influence the  Battle, you might simply damage the Space Bat, you might miss the Space Bat, or you might knockout the Space Bat, and the Space Bat can do any of the same to you. You will know how strong each hit is by the RED NUMBER that floats up to their Health Bar after each hit.

Once the Battle is complete, the Reward Screen will appear showing you if you won or not and what Materials you will be Rewarded. To win you must have depleted the Space Bat’s Health to 0.  If you did that you will see the Neutralized Screen, showing your rewards.

If you miss him or merely damage his health you’ll see the Attack Over screen giving you the option to fight again immediately if you have 2 Arrest Warrants and Characters available.

Tapping Fight Again will bring you up the a confirmation box, simply tap YES to go straight back into battle.

However if you don’t have 2 Arrest Warrants or Characters available don’t worry you can go back and Attack the same Weasel later.

HOW DO I ATTACK A PREVIOUSLY DAMAGED SPACE BAT?

If you couldn’t immediately Fight Again due to not having 2 Arrest Warrants or your Characters needing to heal then once your ready to Battle again you’ll want to find the same Space Bat you previously damaged.  To do this look for the Space Bat with the reduced health status floating above his head.

QUICK RECAP

  • Unlock Character(s)
  • Wait for Space Bats to appear
  • Collect at least 2 Arrest Warrants
  • Select Character/s to Battle Space Bat
  • Battle Space Bat
  • Collect Rewards
  • Let Characters Heal
  • Repeat if necessary

There you have the basics of Battling Space Bats for the Guys in Black Event.

Have you seen battled yet? If so, have you won? What do you think of the Battles? Tips for fellow Players? Let us know.

  1. 3 attacks in a row missed for Lois 😦
The first two phases of this event were great but this one is painful!

  2. So, I too am having the whole Lois-is-a-weakling-bottleneck problem that others are mentioning, but is anyone else finding that her Miss rate is exceedingly, perhaps suspiciously, high? Given that she is literally the only character I can use (still don’t have Hawkman Chris or Flash Gordon and I can’t justify the clam spend on a mere costume for God), I actually don’t think I’ll be able to fight Ming. This means that I won’t complete Saviour of the Suburbs 7 for aaaages and I’m very unlikely to get Ming’s Golden Belt before Flash Gordon times out.

  3. I may have missed it, but… If you win, and have half your health left, will you heal the remainder over time? (Or do you need to die to heal?)

  4. These things take too many hits to defeat and there’s already an excess of demand for warrants. Sadly, this week the event has rapidly changed from quite fun to really tedious.

  5. Yes, bats so annoying… only bottleneck type of task I’ve run into this event. Takes so long with just Lois, grinding to get chris, then will need to defeat Ming. Leaderboard position dropping like a rock due to this and lack of warrants. That’s ok though, happy with what I’ve earned so far.

  6. These are really annoying with only Lois fighting, especially when she misses half the time!
