Mobster Event Crash Issues!

UPDATE 6/10 1:55 PM EST: I just wanted to share with you something DIRECTLY from Matt @ TinyCo in regards to the Crashing… 

The crash-on-load issue is our top priority today, and we are working to get a fix out as soon as possible. If you are experiencing this issue, please send us an email using the “Crash FAQ” page that appears the next time you load the game after a crash. We look forward to everyone being back in Quahog as soon as possible.

So for those of you still having these issues, please report the crash issue if you have not done so already. They are still tracking WHAT devices are mainly experiencing this issue to ensure they cover them all. They are still hard at work and will not stop working on it until they get it resolved and Players back in the game. So hang in there. I know it is difficult as you want to play, but know that you are NOT forgotten about. Not at all. 🙂 

Side Note: For those of you that are attempting to use the “CRASH FAQ” page and getting a dead page or anything other than the ability to send a report, can you please send me some screenshots of what you ARE seeing? I am sending them to TinyCo. Email the Screenshots to familyguyaddicts@gmail.com Got what I needed, thanks. 

Tip: For those able to get back into the game, try to avoid the Warehouse and Neighbor/Ollie visits as it seems to trigger a crash again. Try to stick to the main gaming area until the patches are complete and in place.

iOS 1.8.5 Update

Bouncing by to let you know of an update we received from TinyCo. Wanted to pass it on just in case any of our readers here are facing this issue or run into later on.Green Apple

Here is the helpful information for iOS users TinyCo sent. Feel free to give the steps a try.

Hello! We’ve recently found the cause of a crash issue for iOS players on 1.8.5. A number of players who have failed purchases associated with their account have been crashing when loading the game. We’ve got a fix for this coming in the next app store update, but in the meantime please share this workaround with any players who may be coming to you for help.

1) Make sure the app is not running in the background. If it is, you will need to force close it.

2) Go into your device’s settings and enable Airplane Mode.

3) Start the Family Guy game.

4) Consuela will appear with a “Connect Error!” window. Do not press the retry button or close the app. Instead, allow the loading bar to fill up.

5) Once the loading bar is full, go back to your device’s settings and turn off Airplane Mode to restore your connection.

6) Go back to the Family Guy game and press the retry button or let the game reload.

You will need to follow the same steps each time you play the game.

PLEASE NOTE: If you attempt to make the same purchase that you made before you received this crash, the game will crash again. You will be able to purchase all other packages.

Connect Error! Could Not Connect To Server!

UPDATE: FYI The game WILL be down late tonight, but only for a very very short time for maintenance.  TinyCo is trying to spread the word on this to reach as many players as possible, so pass it on. 😉

Hello! We wanted to give you a heads up that we’re scheduling some server maintenance tonight at 11 PM PDT. We expect it to take 15-30 minutes, with everything back online at11:30 PM.

 

UPDATE 745PM EST: And… we’re back up. Well at least I am for now. ***just breathe***

Hopping by quickly with some details. Seems we went down for just a few minutes then came back online again, but then back down again. Lol. No worries. I am in contact with TinyCo and the Engineers are looking into it.

Star Trek Enterprise Crash

UPDATE 4/28, 1AM: TinyCo has released the patch and it has been running now for bout an hour. Please make sure you force close the app. Restart your device if needed. Let us know if you still have issue getting to Enterprise or using the Inventory. 

UPDATE 4/27 330PM: TinyCo has found the cause of Enterprise and Inventory Crash. Fix should be out VERY soon. Once in place, a Force Close and/or Restart of device should help to put it into effect.  

UPDATE 4/27: They should be getting into the offices soon. When I get any updates on the progress, I will let you know. In the meantime just do what you can until this is resolved.(They were working on it all weekend.) I let them know many of you are wanting an extenstion, but feel free to pass it on too within your game or email. As always, your feedback is helpful. Just remember, kindness goes a long way. 😉

UPDATE: Working further with TinyCo to help get this pinpointed, so please help on your end by sending in details of what YOU are experiencing with the Enterprise crash. Right now, this is what they are looking for…. 

1) Does reinstalling the game fix it? (Please sign up for an account first!)
2) What actions do players most recently remember setting characters on?
3) Is anyone on iOS?
**4) If a player is crashing when visiting the Enterprise, and has access to an additional device, can they play as normal on the NEW device?**

So try an Uninstall/Reinstall ONLY if your game is saved to an email or Facebook that you can reload the saved file from. If not saved, save it! It really needs to be linked no matter what so you do not lose all the time you put in your game if something like your phone lost or stolen happens or you get a new one too.

So far this looks to be Android, but we want to confirm… any iOS having issue of Enterprise not accessible?

This is what I get for attempting to take a few hours off. The game gets all cranky and decides to throw a tantrum and shut down. Pssssh. 😛

But seriously, I actually had a melt down with my phone and have been trying to get it fixed, then replaced. I was aware of the issues, just no way to get online to help report back. Sorry.

Short story long, I have been sending reports to TinyCo of all the things I was seeing you state you are experiencing. Continue to message it all in to them please. Use your game menu if you can get in, if not… email help@tinyco.com and send as MUCH info as possible. Device, Version, Player ID if you have it, Screenshot of the start screen if you do not, tell them what it is you are seeing and how long ago it started.

Star Trek Enterprise: Where Are YOU In The Game? (Part 3)

Phase 5 is now live and running in our games. Just like unlocking Districts, this Event has us unlocking Enterprise “Districts” and causing us all flashbacks of those dreaded Eyeballs and Headbands. Definitely one of the more Challenging Events to say the least. Even for the Seasoned Players. So, back again, bouncing on in here because I want to know where YOU are in the game?

Star Trek Glitches & Clarifications (Part 3) UPDATED

UPDATE iOS 4/22: Per TinyCo, patch is in final stages (gotta love App Market approvals). Hopefully out soon. 

UPDATE iOS: Just a quick FYI for those of you on iOS 6 or earlier, if you can update your iOS device to a higher version, I would suggest doing so and it may just alleviate the issues at hand. For the older devices, I know that may not be possible, but for those that can… it will help. 😉 

UPDATE WARBIRD: I am seeing more growing reports of players not able to update having issues with the PeterCraft showing up again. This is causing the Warbird to not Phase in n out like it is supposed to every 5 to 10 seconds. This issue has been reported, feel free to do so as well from your game. In the meantime, force closing and at time restarting device will bring back the Warbird. ONLY fire on the Warbird if you choose this method. 

UPDATE IOS: TinyCo has narrowed the glitch to mainly devices running iOS 6 or earlier. A patch is still in the works so hang in there while they work to resolve it.

iOS NEWEST VERSION CRASHING GAMES

I have seen reports growing of iOS players locked out of there games after upgrading to the latest game patch in the App Market.
