Where Are You NOW? Event Poll!

Hey there Munchkins!!

Figured I would bounce on by to see just where you all are as of now in this fun lil “Oz” like Event in our games.

This information is very useful not only to Myself and the Addicts Helpers to see if there is anything else we need to focus on, but it also is information I do share with TinyCo so they can visually see as well just how the Players are getting along in the Event so far. If there are areas of improvement needed, areas working well, etc.

Take a few minutes and fill out all the information that applies to you in the Poll. I will be closing it down just after the Holiday and then will post the results later.

Where the Hell….? Wizard of Oz

We’re off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Quahog. Mmm, I’m not sure that’s how the song goes, let’s try that again. We’re off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz, because, because, because, because….. well because TinyCo deemed it so with their latest event, There’s No Place Like Quahog.

Now you probably all know The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was written by L. Frank Baum, but the world of Oz didn’t truly capture the imagination of the world until MGM put their glorious Technicolor to good use in the fantastic film adaptation, The Wizard of Oz, way back in 1939. But hey, on its release it didn’t set the world alight, unfortunately it found itself pushed aside by Gone With The Wind. But gradually over the years its popularity grew into the phenomena we now all recognise. I for one adore the movie, although admittedly the books will always be my first love.

But just where have we seen the Oz characters in Family Guy before? Well they’ve  made quite a few appearances in the TV show  and I’m going to highlight them here. It’s worth pointing out though that MGM fiercely guard their copyright on the content of The Wizard of Oz, therefore the Family Guy TV show pulls most of its imagery from the books. Guess there’s only one thing worse than having a Flying Monkey on your back, and that’s having an MGM lawyer on your tail, so for once Seth McFarlane is playing it safe.

There’s No Place Like Quahog 101: Phase 2 – Wicked Witch

Hey there Oz Addicts

With Phase 2 underway and the Wicked Witch still defying gravity, I just wanted to give a little update regarding what that mean, green flying machine is up to now. Yes, the Wicked Witch is still with us and now has new drops which will help us to unlock Glinda and Tin Woodman Quagmire.


The arrival of a new Boss would usually send a shiver down my spine but I found the Wicked Witch to be rather generous in Week 1, maybe she’s trying mend her wicked ways to be popular.  Defeating her at 1X and 2X was achievable in phase 1 and with no increase in the materials needed to battle her in week 2, we should all rest easy knowing this is a battle we can win, eventually.

There’s No Place Like Quahog – Oz’s Great and Powerful Mystery Box

It’s a mystery, oh it’s a mystery, and we’re still searching for the prize….

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any wackier in our Quahog’s, Phase 2 has  descended upon us like a flying monkey on a mission, bringing with it a heap of new content which includes the Oz’s Great and Powerful  Mystery Box. It’s one of those times you need to tap your heels together and hope you get lucky.

There’s No Place Like Quahog Main Questline: Someplace Over A Rainbow

Hey There… ummm… people…. ummm… If I only had a Brain…

TinyCo has gone OVER the Rainbow and dumped a bunch of colorful sparkly stuff into our silly lil Quahogs.

We are now into Phase 2 of the Event, that means that there is now a New Main Questline we will follow to direct us. For Phase 2, that Questline is Someplace Over a Rainbow.

There’s No Place Like Quahog 101: Falling Houses

I guess it’s true what they say. It’s all wicked good fun until a falling house lands on top of you, lol.

I’ve always felt that the little flying farmhouse never got the credit it was due, I mean Dorothy took out the Wicked Witch of the West and got a fanfare, that little house took out the Wicked Witch of the East and didn’t get so much as a lick of paint. And now to make things worse TinyCo has put that little hero of a falling house on the wrong side of the event fence, as it’s the little baddie we need to clear in Phase 2 of There’s No Place Like Quahog.

With so much going on in the first day or two of a new phase I know you all feel like you’re in the eye of a storm as a tornado of information is thrown your way, but we’re here to break it down so you can follow the yellow brick road without worrying about a house falling on top of you.

There’s No Place Like Quahog Phase 2 Is Live!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee’re Off to see the Wizard… Again… with some strange looking Giant Pumpkin Head… and a Queen that has headless people in her Closet? WHAAAAA???!!!

Phase 2 is now live in our silly lil games. YAY!! Just got home so gimme a bit to go through it all and update the post. 🙂

There’s No Place Like Quahog 101: Munchkin Academy

Cone out, Come out wherever you are. Come on munchkins show yourselves!!!

Yes, it’s those cute little munchkins that put the merry in the merry old land of Oz. But when things turn all green and ghastly and things get tough, well the munchkins got to get tougher. And to do this they need to attend the world-renowned Munchkin Academy. Okay I may be exaggerating the merits of the Munchkin Academy, but we got to make it attractive to those munchkins or they may just head for Harvard.
