Quest for Stuff Quick Walkthroughs: Pirate’s Cove to Unlocking the Civic Center

Hello there Clammers!

We last left off our walkthrough we had unlocked Mr. Herbert and Joe and Peter was just suggesting we head over to Pirate’s Cove (District 5)…because “sometimes a guy just wants to be best friends with a bird”.  So now we pick this back up with the complete quests that will pop up while in Pirate’s Cove!

Pirate’s Cove is where you’ll unlock Seamus, Meg & have to take down a bunch of pirates!

Once again this District walkthrough is structured by questline  (Note: Questline is considered the entire task list that is required under a certain title.  For example A Pirate’s Life for Peter Pt. 1, Pt. 2 etc).  This should help you keep track of what comes next in each questline & what you’ll need to do.  Keep in mind, with this game various quests/tasks can be running at once.  You can be in the middle of 1 questline and another questline will start, however the order in which the questlines appear may be different for each game.

Unlocking characters in Pirate’s Cove takes a little more patience, as the list of “Stuff” required to unlock is longer, and the quantities of each are greater.  Take your time, try not to get frustrated when the items don’t appear.  Try a different task to unlock the item, or try working on a different item.

So let’s pick our walkthrough back up with Peter, Pirates & the quest for NEW stuff!

2014-04-14 13.39.47

Just a reminder
To unlock characters
: once you’ve collected all of the “Stuff”, you’ll need to go through their items again and tap the ones with check marks.  Once you’ve gone through each one the lock over the character’s head will turn gold and show unlock.  At this point tap the character again to fully unlock the character.

As you get further into the game it becomes harder to earn the items needed to unlock the characters.  Be sure to check out the Materials page to see the odds of the items and who can help you unlock them.

  1. Hi!

  2. Peter won’t get out of pirate mode. I mean the exclamation mark is still alive his head. Due to this, I have to go to the store in order to see Peter’s progress. Oh, and what makes this even harder is that I’m way past this quest. All now I’m in the process of unlocking Falconer Peter as I’ve already gotten Anime Peter. How can u get rid of this glitch?

  3. I just unlocked the Pirate Cove, and when I talk to Peter, he talks about the Pirate Cove but it won’t unlock the quest. I’m on my laptop and I already tried restarting my laptop. PLEASE HELP.

  4. Hey guys , the reward for cleaning the lost pirates is really 15 clams , because for a free player it’s to good to be true

  5. Blake,I’m also having problems with pirates not on screen 😦

    • It’s a known glitch, and they’re working on the solution for it. Best bet though, Contact TinyCo to let them know you have the pirate glitch as well.

      • Yeah, this sucks. I know (or hope) that they are working on the glitch, but I’ve officially cleared every strip of land I can, bought every building available and have had my progress completely stalled.

  6. It seems that I ve finished all the quest from your list and still Peter hasnt suggested to go to the Cvic Centre. Someone has this problem?

I have A Whole Lotta Bull Pt. 1 in the list but after I tap the “Enter Civic Centre” button I see the message “Finich with the stuff you got there”

  7. I can’t get the pirates to appear in the quest where Peter needs to clear them. Is this a problem for anybody else, and is there a way to get them to appear. This has completely stalled my progress.

    • You can try a few basic troubleshooting steps like force closing the app. Sometimes the game just needs a “kick” to get going. If that doesn’t help, you may need to contact TinyCo. No worries. They are great at resolving issues. It is the weekend so response my be timed, but they will help all they can.

All of this can be found and done right through the menu in your game. Let us know if you need further help 😉

      • I have tried all your above steps, and nothing. I have contacted support, but haven’t heard back from them. This is frustrating, for sure. This must be the only quest I have before unlocking district 6,but I am unable to complete it.

        • What part of the quest are you on? Have you unlocked the district? Have you cleared land in it? What’s the next task that you see?

          Like

          • Thank you for your replies. I am on the quest A Pirates Life for Peter Part 6. My quest says I need to clear out 8 pirates so Peter can he the only pirate in town. However, there are no pirates walking around town (like the Lost Boys and clowns were), and when I click on the quest and hit go, nothing happens. That is the only quest in my log, and District 6 remains locked to me.

            • Are all of the other characters visible? Long John peter doesn’t move when you hit go?

              Like

              • Correct. None of characters seem to be missing, but even if Long John Peter has no current mission, nothing happens when I hit go.

                • Ok. The only thing I can suggest is to contact TinyCo (which is sounds like you already did). They’re the only ones that can reset the game for you to tigger the pirates to appear. Bunny and I can try to work our contacts for you, but we won’t be able to do anything until Monday with them. So if you want to try and get an answer sooner, try contacting them again. Be persistent with it.
Sorry that’s not a more specific answer for you, but for now that’s the best method, and we’ll see what we can dig up on Monday.

                  • Getting very frustrated (although not at you, you have been very helpful) Support finally got back to me and said they don’t provide assistance with “gameplay issues” and directed me to the FAQ and this site. I told them it was not a gameplay issue, but a bug, and have not heard back from them. It sucks that I have spent real money on this and seem to have hit a wall, and I refuse to start over (way too much time just to get here) when I might hit the same glitch again. Is there really nothing anybody can do about this?

                    Like

                    • Wait support actually directed you here?! Sorry, but that’s cool…in our geeky way 🙂
Anyway…about your pirate issue. The same thing happened to my husband in his game, give me a little bit to see if I can get any additional info on it for you. As difficult as it is…sit tight for me please. 🙂

                      Cool, thanks.

And yeah, they totally linked me directly to this website. Can’t blame them, you guys are doing an awesome job. 🙂

            • Ok just (finally) got word back from TinyCo on this. In fairness to them we were going back and forth on a variety of other issues as well (like that Epic STUFF!). It’s a known issue that’s impacting some games and not others. They’re working on a fix for it, and ask that you sit tight while they get the fix for it together. Hopefully it’ll be repaired shortly! 🙂

  8. Has anyone else had the problem of stuff not appearing? My only quest right on is to have Peter clear out the eight outages, but they are nowhere to be found.

  9. Meg disappeared. WTF?! After sending her on multiple hot dog scarfing quests to get items required to create pirate Peter, I sent her on about a 4 hour, non-items-earning quest (I believe it was practice bird calls) along with other characters who i just needed to keep busy for a few hours while I was actually working. Now she’s nowhere to be found. I’ve clicked every single building and she’s not in any of them and I’ve scoured the game board looking for her but she’s not wandering around anywhere trying to talk to birds.
Anybody had anything similar happen or know what’s up/where the heck she went?

    Like

    • Well, now I guess I’m forced to admit that I need glasses! The first confirmation came with the difficulty of being able to make out all the letters and numbers in my acct number that TinyCo. needed me to send them in order to look into my “problem”. Once I’d written that down and went back into the game, low and behold, there was Meg with a big check over her head. She’d been whistling for birds by the (now such an obvious location!) playground but I guess had just blended in with the background just right so as to make her all but invisible to me.

Good news – I do not have a game error.

Bad news – I really do need glasses. 🙂

      Like

      • lol hey glasses aren’t so bad. Bunny and I both wear them lol But seriously glad it all worked out for you! And after all it IS Meg, she tends to blend in really well lol

  10. I was wondering if anyone else if having a problem unlocking Seamus. I have finished everything but I can not find the Pirate Ship in the Store!

    Like

    • Hmmm…it should be in decorations tab right between the Fingernail Fort and Peter’s Pirate Car (premium). If you still don’t see it definitely contact TinyCo and let them know what’s going on in your game. 🙂

  11. Hi thank you for these walk through first of all. Really helpful.

Can I just clarify is making Peter double check birth certificate for 20hrs all it takes to unlock meg.
Just wasn’t sure as it says to complete tasks and collect stuff to unlock Meg,
then says Unlock Meg requires: straight on the Peters task then unlock character.
    Thank you.

  12. Thanks for putting these together, they’re really helpful. I’m loving this game. The challenge of collecting items and the random chance is fun. It somehow feels very satisfying when unlock the characters.

Enjoying Pirate’s Cove district — like the new buildings & the humour in the pop-ups, and prefer it when the characters require more items to unlock but fewer of each (Joe’s 10 pairs of skechies took *days*!). Need to ration Peter out over days though given all the simultaneous tasks running (but Hooker Peter’s animations are hilarious.)

Thanks for the walkthroughs — they’re ace.

  14. Honestly, I still don’t have the feeling like the game has an actual story “flow”. The repetetive jobs required for unlocking characters slow it down, are mostly unrelated to the affected character and make the player forget the story easily. The costumes are not helping either, since they make dialog parts seem even more random and disconnected to each other. Still not really hooked on the game… sadly, because actually I like Family Guy as a series a bit more than the Simpsons.

    Like

    • I completely understand. I think they’re still trying to find the best flow on it. It becomes difficult when you have several story lines pop up all at once! Still new though. Give it some time…you never know what changes the next update might bring 🙂
