He’s still there, he can currently be unlocked with clams. Hopefully in a future district they’ll add the items required for him to drop from something 🙂

Never really watched the show but quite enjoying the dirty jokes in this adult tapped out. Some of the stuff is way over the line not sure how they get away with it.

It’s pretty funny the stuff they get away with, but I completely agree. One of the reasons why I hesitate rewriting exact game dialogue here. But still provides me with great laughs while playing! 🙂

Yes, due to MANY requests from players to keep him there even if it meant to purchase with clams…TinyCo listened and decided to leave him after the Event was over.

… Not that I really care though. I mean if it was a building or decoration I would be a lot more angry, but since it was a costume that people would probobly use a few times then forget about, I’ll deal. What really got me mad though was the lack of free items compared to premium.

Here is how the event was supposed to go, a clown an hour, 5 clowns maximum, after maxing out horns you got 5 pies every 5 hours, and you should get the costume on Sunday night or earlier if you played every 5 or so hours. How it went for me, every 5 hours a 1 of each clown, alotogether got 11 pies and horns. Sad Face

I love how I got the costume, but no ring of fire for the one interaction… Kinda makes me feel like I got something, but not all of it.

Yea it’s a little rough, but we can’t blame them for faulty advertising. Many of the little popups I got on my game showed the Ring of Fire required.

I applaud TinyCo for wanting their “Tapped Out” game to be different from the Simpsons. But I think they should take a page out of EA’s book with the event structuring. In my opinion, the point of an event is to reward your regular (daily or 2-3 times daily) players with the ‘extra’ content in the event. It should be reasonably/moderately easy for a regular player to win the freemium prize. TinyCo missed the point here, structuring the event such that the large majority (based on the poll results here) missed out on the new content, despite putting A LOT of effort into checking in/clearing clowns from their Quahogs. In my opinion, the reactions TinyCo should get from those who didn’t get the Pee Pants costume should be more along the lines of, “Well, I didn’t get it, but I also wasn’t checking in very often.” NOT the, “I checked in religiously, lost sleep, and eventually had to break down and pay money to get freemium content,” reactions we ended up with this time.
I’m also curious to know of the 33% of responders that DID get Pee Pants, how many of those had to break down and spend clams to get him?
The only point of redemption for TinyCo is that I still have the Pee Pants costume in my inventory, so if I REALLY wanted to, I could drop 60 clams to buy it. I probably never will, just because I really hate paying for content that was freemium to begin with, but at least it’s not gone forever, never to be seen again.
TinyCo loses this round, IMO.

I didnt get it and it really bums me out. Im freemium so I didnt buy the items that generate pies and horns so im short on both. I usually dont play a lot on weekends and I really out done myself, checking in 10 times/day and I didnt get all the clowns I was supposed to. Now I see I can build the costume for 135 clams but im not gonna because this was supposed to be free. I feel like I wasted so much time this weekend. The event really didnt last long enough and im sure at least half the people didnt unlock it.

Sunday night, around the absolute latest time that I could fall asleep and still be functional for work the next day, I “broke” and paid the $4.99 to clear the buy coins task. This game me enough clams to unlock Pee Pants (35 were necessary I think) as I had just one horn and maybe 2 pies remaining. Much to my chagrin, I woke up 5 hours later with enough clowns walking around to have unlocked it anyway. Had word been pushed out sometime Sunday about the extension, I would have gotten more sleep and probably still be staring at the buy coins task. Whatevs.

Yea, we wish we knew about it too prior to Monday morning. We didn’t find out until we saw clowns roaming our towns the next morning too.

I didn’t get the costume and I am still annoyed. My clowns didn’t seem to be spawning correctly, I would go to bed and wake up with 1 clown in my town (usually a pie spawning clown), which was a real shame.
In other Tiny Co news though, I recently found a glitch and lost 40 clams in the process. I logged a complaint with Tiny Co on Sunday, this morning I log in to find 50 clams credited to my game – Very impressive! Which did help me get over my lack of the Pee Pants costume.

Well it looks like their may be an option with future districts to still earn pies and horns to unlock Pee Pants (waiting for confirmation of this), so you may still get him after all. But I completely understand the frustration. On the plus side you did get some bonus clams 🙂 AND just you saying lack of pee pants cracked me up lol

I am having issue after issue after issue. They DID communicate to let me know what is going on, but I am out a bunch of clams that basically gave me nothing. Right now I have the following issues (which I have told them about, and heard nothing):
1) If I don’t force quit the game – it doesn’t advance when I am not playing (this MAY be fixed)
2) I paid my money and clams for the 50% Cosmetic Odds sale, and for 4 days, I got NO items. (this may be fixed, but I certainly didn’t benefit from my spending)
3) My clowns spawned about 1 every 4 to 6 hours, I was VERY far away from completing the limited quest
4) I have run Lois on the Practice Tae-Jitsu close to 25 times now, and haven’t received a single headband.
One more – I delete.

Everyone seems to have different luck with these. I know many items are rare. All we can do is keep TinyCo on their toes with any game issues. They have been great at responding (Notice the Director, Matt, commenting right back to readers. He is fully involved and watching what every players concerns are so they can make the game better and get glitches resolved.) Speaking of, updates coming soon to fix MANY known glitches and bugs they’ve been able to pinpoint thanks to readers involvement and sending them info.
If you are not wanting to send in info via your game to TinyCo, comment on the post below so Matt can see it. 😉

No, I have happily contacted them. They responded well the first time – well in the sense that they responded, not that they offered me my 25 clams back when I got NO items for 4 days.
This time, I have updated them with each and every bug as it pops up. I got an initial “We saw this”, but nothing since for 2-3 days.
I TRULY don’t have a problem with items that only drop 10-20% of the time. But they SHOULDN’T take 25 efforts every time, which is 4% of the time.
Plus it seems that while my item random generator is skewed towards the penurious side, my bug generator is skewed towards the bounteous side! I swear that each and every glitch falls in my lap.

I really do hope your luck changes. I know the glitches are daunting. I do love though that they are all over them. Several fixes coming soon. Hopefully that will help you out immensely. I want to look at this game in a few months and see how far they go with it before I make any conclusions.
I think the prize drops are the #1 complaint I see in this game. People don’t like the randomness of it.

I got pee pants without spending anything, but I got it at the last hour supposedly. 11:15 pm on Sunday. I had to cut off all ties with family and friends those four days, and also took out a second mortgage to sustain living while having to avoid my job, as I tapped for the past few days… Now I have found refuge in a cardboard box after being evicted from my home..
Ok not really, but I felt that the only way to have the costume was to tap excessively and nonstop. Hence proving I have no life. Anyway hope everyone else got the costume. I’m all smiles over here. 🙂

I did not win Pee Pants. I was not spawning clowns hourly, which I believe was supposed to happen. I woke up to just one or two clowns in my town. I missed it by two pies. I could spend clams, I guess, but I’m not going to. It’s the principle of it. It should have worked and it didn’t. I should have gotten it easily but yet it didn’t happen.

I splurged and bought most of the circus items. I set them up near the high school so it reminds me of the end of the movie “Grease” 🙂 I unlocked Pee Pants early Sunday and enjoyed him jumping through the fire hoop most of the day.

In both a very sad commentary on my own self-control, and a terrible one on TinyCo’s behavior modification techniques; I am ashamed to say that I stayed up until midnight to see if the event would last past then. Two pies and a horn short, I warily plugged in my phone to keep the app up, then set my alarm for 3 AM. I woke up with it and felt the Skinner box close on me a little more as I cleared three clowns and made the Pee Pants costume. Groggy, unfulfilled ‘hooray’ and a notable lack of the expected endorphine blast as I checked that my 4:30 alarm was still on so that I could get up for work. Then, I cleared over a dozen more miserable, lousy, grumblegrumblestupidgrumble clowns during the day for no reward, save for a new-found sympathy for the other addicts of the world. I should treasure sleep more.

Hey there! I’ve been playing since the day FG:TQFS came out. I am severely disappointed that I was unable to get PeePants! After leaving my town for at least 4 hours I would only have a single red clown for Chris to clear. I play constantly and wish TinyCo would have extended the event from 3 days to a week or made sure that clowns would appear correctly. Very disappointed with this event.

Ok so I bought the circus tent, weight machine, & airplane ride. I was able to get the pee pants costume in time. However I am playing another town on my iPod. I didn’t buy any circus stuff in that one & nope didn’t get the outfit in that one. My husband also has been playing on two different devices, he hasn’t bought any of the premium circus stuff & he was able to get the pee pants costume in both of his devices. So out of four devices only one didn’t get it.

well about 2pm yesterday i got the last chance pop up and i was 4 pies away and then the game stopped working , it doesnt load anymore , i emailed tinyco , still waiting for a response , that might be why it was extended , they probably got a bunch of emails like mine so it might be extended until they fix it , Good Luck to everyone that can still play Hope u get The pee pants costume

unfortunately since i didn’t have a username attached to it when they told me to reinstall the app i probably lost my data, not that much of an issue except for the pee pants costume and the clams from the quest i can always start over if necessary , since I’m not paying real money for items in a game that’s basically make believe

I tired but had a few setbacks. I accidentally sent Chris on a 24 hour mission on Friday night, so there was issue #1. Second, the clowns didn’t seem to be spawning when they are supposed to. Interestingly enough, it’s Monday morning and the event appears to still be going on. I had one of each clown when I woke up, and I still have the ability to build Pee Pants. We’ll see how long this continues.

I unlocked this morning after a tense wait overnight to see if it would end when i just needed 2 pies and a horn! luckily it didnt end, and even though i have unlocked pee pants im still getting clowns now and its 13.30 monday in the UK.
the most annoying thing it that all weekend after i splatted the 10 clowns i would only get 1 clown of each colour at a time even over night, making it very difficult to collect, but now ive finished i have the 3 red clowns and 2 purple clowns! whats up with that!
anyway relieved i managed to unlock in time!

I completed it by buying the 10 pies that I needed this morning.
But it left a bad taste in my mouth. I lost between 8-10 hours of actions one night when I set everyone to 8 or 12 hour tasks and no time ran off during the night.
When I saw your post this morning that the event was over but that I was still having clowns appear, I went for it. Because if the game is going to screw over players, then I won’t stick with it and the clams I’ve accumulated are worthless. Or I will stick with it and have a nice costume.

I unlocked him last night. Still looks like wth the event is going for me though as I get the splash screen and still have clowns in my town. So maybe some people still have a chance? Course now I have Peter doing his taxes as I need a few more books to unlock Brian….
