Well after a tense weekend and the constant signs of Ends Sunday I fully expected to wake up this morning to a Clown Free Quahog…..however this is not the case. It looks like the circus is still in town!
So if you haven’t yet unlocked Pee Pants you still have time to get those last minute clowns to drop pies and horns!
Now…BEFORE you guys start to yell at me (cause I know there are some of you that spent clams to get that last little bit because you were afraid you wouldn’t get it)…we FULLY expected (just like you) for this event to end last night (the poll question post was written ahead of time and scheduled for this morning). It looks like this was something that was extended at the last minute, perhaps because of your feedback on the Good, the Bad and the Not So Pretty. Things like this are why we always encourage you NOT to spend clams to speed things up. You never know what might happen with events like this.
At this point I don’t know when they will disappear. I’m working on trying to find that out, but keep in mind I’m on the East Coast of the US and TinyCo is on the West Coast (3hrs behind) so it might take a little bit for an answer to come back as it’s not even 6am there yet. So right now all I can say is just keep playing and see what happens.

How do I contact TinyCo? Just checked into my game 22:10CDT and it starts back at the VERY beginning. I have closed the game several times & it just resorts back to the very start of the game. Any suggestions? Any help & how to contact TCo would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Info to contact TinyCo is here. BUT play it out until you get to the part in the game where you’ll see the menu button (blue box with 9 little light blue squares inside of it). Usually this is right after you unlock Chris. Once you get to that point push the menu button and go to account settings, and log back into your game from there. That will restore it back. Unfortunately, you’ll have to play out that first little bit to get to that menu button, but once it’s there you should be able to log into your game with out issues.

I didn’t know about the event, so I did get a start on it till Saturday. Never really had a chance to unlocking pee pants, but got close tho. Don’t know if its a bug but still showing him for purchase. Tho it would be cool it if it was part of the game, that any type of limited time item(character, costume, building, decoration) you had to collect stuff to unlock, that after the event ends you have still another day or so to just pay for it. this way you can wait till you see the event end before shelling out your clams for it. Or maybe its part of the game and pee pant will sit in our shops to buy if we want, or till maybe a repeat event type for another try to finish unlocking? Tho it would be nice to know if limited time events were going to be repeated.

Yup it’s still in the store. I think there are plans with future districts to have pies/horns drop from tasks like other “stuff”. So it may be possible go get Pee Pants down the road.

Event over. Bummed I was short of both the horns and pies, but it does say check back in the next district for more pies and horns. ::Keeping fingers crossed……

I was short on it myself in my main “A” game. But I was super busy this weekend, so I have no one to blame but myself for not getting into the game more often to check.

Well, that’s something useless – I still need 1 Clown Horn and about 11 pies. Again, the most I ever see (even waiting 8 hours) is 2 clowns. So, I will not be getting the award for spending my time on this game.
Meanwhile, I have had Lois doing the Tai-Jitsu practice about 20 times. I realize that the headbands are Extra Rare, but I got 0 so far. If it’s really a 10-20% chance, then in 20 times, the probability that I would get ZERO headbands is 0.01 to 0.12 (1 to 12%), pretty low odds. UNLESS, I am suffering a 4th bug in the game. This is getting a little bit frustrating to say the least, especially when the ONLY way to get headbands is for Lois to practice Tai-Jitsu.
Meanwhile, I have accumulated 4 of the 5 poncy hats (extra rare), a bunch of eyeshadow (extra rare) and 4 out of 4 sea shells (ultra rare).

Hmm I’m wondering if it’s a specific problem with your game. Or with the headbands in general. Let me inquire a bit on it.
As far as the clowns go…I didn’t unlock it either in my A game. (in my B game I just paid clams for everything to see what happens when purchased.)

Yeah, the headbands for Rambo Lois is extra rare indeed but managed to finally get 5 of them, although I finished getting stuff for Dr. Hartman, Brian and Hobo the clown Peter before the 5th headband dropped. Just goes to show how extra rare they are. Now working on getting whips for S&M Lois which are Epic, whatever that means.

Well, I am certainly not going to spend a single clam on an outfit that won’t do anything unless you spend more clams to get the ring of fire.
Either my game is broken (quite likely – as I suffered not only the dreaded no progress unless you force quit the game AND the dreaded no increase – actually complete reward hiatus – in cosmetics bug EVEN THOUGH I spent clams (MONEY) on buildings), because clowns certainly seem to not be cloning at anywhere NEAR the suggested rate – OR this was just an evil tease, and the only way to finish this was to spend 200 clams on the premium buildings. Either way, I was checking in every hour or two over the event, and only going 6 hours without checking at night – and I am still 1 horn and 11 pies away with 1 hour to go.
I have NO problem if there are things that you HAVE to do by spending clams – I just want to know this ahead of time, so that I can choose. I feel that they are puling a bait and switch here. Making me invest my time and attention to get something, and then psychologically twisting things to entice me to spend money.
Same goes with the cosmetic event. They DID get in touch with me to tell me they were working on it, and that they pushed a bug fix, but they never offered me my wasted clams back.
This is just wrong. I may not stop playing – but I won’t be spending any money on this game as long as their customer service seems more intent on separating me from my money that in actually servicing me. (yes, that DOES sound wrong).

So I accidentally started making Cop Joe, and now I’m wondering if I need to speed that up to make the clown outfit. I have all the pieces collected, but haven’t actually gotten the costume.

I was 3 pies short of unlocking Pee Pants when I went to bed last night & figured I’d just wait til the morning & spend the 30 clams (which I’ve collected from playing) to unlock him then & I’m glad I waited. I’m glad I was able to unlock him for free!

Was there a quest line after you get the outfit? I got the outfit yesterday and there was no quest line that triggered when I had Peter put it on. I was hoping there was more to it after all that trouble.

I had some weird glitch this morning where things that should have been done last night had only run down another hour or two instead of about 9 hours! All tasks would have been over but they weren’t. I don’t know if others have experienced this – it’s just a minor inconvenience. Still though, super annoying to wake up with 8 hours on the ultra shapoopie clock!

Man, I had accidentally started Chris on a task that would have finished before this morning, so I spent clams to get him out of that last night so I could get the last two clowns I needed, and then sped up Policeman Joe because I didn’t know if I could create the outfit in the morning after the event if I had already collected the items.
What a rube.

I also spent clams to speed up Chris’s task to get enough clowns. While I’m very grateful TinyCo was listening to our concerns & responded to them (YAY TinyCo!) I wish they would of notified us of the extension. I believe many of us were working against the clock & didn’t want our efforts to go unrewarded so we used clams to speed things up. I know that why I spent a precious 10 clams to get Chris out of a task.
