Hell There Clammers!
As we’re nearing the end of the Tea Party Event many of you are asking, just when will it end? More or less you guys want to know if this is it, or if you’ll get another shot at the prizes tomorrow (Tuesday). Hopefully I can clear up some confusion for you all about the end time…..
The Toys change everyday at 10pm PDT (for those that don’t know that’s Pacific Time in the US). 10pm PDT is GMT -7hrs. So, for anyone from the Central time zone in the US all the way to New Zealand, it’s a new day when the toys change. However, for the game itself it’s still the previous day….
With me so far?
So, when the toys change tonight at 10pm PDT…even though for most of us it will be Tuesday, for the game itself it’ll still be Monday. Therefore, you’ll get 1 more day of toy collecting in before the event ends. So yes, the toy will change tonight at 10pm PDT (1am EDT/ 0500GMT) and you’ll be able to get some more collecting in.
As far as the official end time…TinyCo has CONFIRMED to Addicts that the end time will be 10pm PDT tomorrow 7/22. So you will get a full 24hrs to complete the last day once the toy changes tonight.
So for anyone completely lost in the above post…let’s recap:
-The toy will change tonight at 10pm PDT (1am EDT/ 0500GMT)
-You should have 24hrs left once it changes to earn toys before it ends, but waiting for TinyCo to confirm that.
And finally…Just a quick tip for toy collecting:
If it looks like you won’t get another turn at the Mystery Box BEFORE the toy resets, don’t collect on the characters (even if they’re complete). Wait until the toy resets. As soon as the toy resets, collect and reassign the characters to the task. It’s a great way to get ahead for the last day.
This also works if you’ve completed the turns for the day. Set your characters on the 4 hr task and don’t clear it until after the toy resets. It should generate you a quick 4 toys and help you get ahead for the last day!
That’s it my friends! Here’s hoping we ALL find Rupert before the event ends!

Aside from Rupert, I already had every item in the box except for the bubbly fountain, and peter’s pirate car. So I’ll have a lot more in my inventory stashed away now after this event. But at least since I’ve been able to open every box each day, I’ll get Rupert even if he is the very last since there are now 12 chances and 12 boxes and nothing repeats. Much happier. Good luck to those missed any boxes. My luck would have me completely lose out had this not been able to be won with every box opened and still even just the 1 prize left over. I’d still not get him. Lol.

I seriously need some better luck, lol. I’m getting really nervous about not getting Rupert.
I’ve only missed one box so far, due to the messy timings on the first day (and not realizing there was an event until it already started). And yet, I’m still missing the top three prizes in value: Lobster Shanty (65clams), Peter’s Pirate Car (150clams), and Rupert himself. But I’m also missing Gold Digger Island, which I’m praying I don’t get since I already have… My morale’s just a but low after 8/9 tries of missing the best stuff.
Ah well, can’t complain about my own luck. I plan on getting all three tomorrow, and making sure to stay up to do so, so… Fingers crossed!! 🙂

I dunno I was fairly happy getting lobster shanty. No rupert yet. Peter car is tiny and doesn’t have any animation not sure why it should be so expensive.

I know how you feel. I missed out on the first day because of the timing too. Only got 2 prizes the 1st day because tinyco screwed me out of 2hours on top of the event rolling out even later than everyone else. I’ve got 4 prizes left to win and Rupert is one. 3 more tries and I really hope I don’t get screwed. Cross my fingers for you though.

At least i was able to get Human Rupert this time as i lost my chance for King Butt from the last event when i had to spend most of my time unlocking most of the characters and outfits.
Still i wonder if the remaining characters are tied up to this “Geek” event that should start in a few days time?

Arg! 10:36pm PDT and the toy hasn’t changed yet. I’m afraid to play more in case I accidentally touch/redeem one of the toy-earners.
BTW, for the Australia person, Sydney is 17 hours ahead of Pacific time (I just had to book some meetings there). So my 10:00pm Monday is your 3:00pm Tuesday.

You collect the toys and fill up the “box”. At 6 toys, 14 toys, and 24 toys you will get a chance at the Prize box and 1/12 (or however many you have left) chances at getting Rupert.

If you find yourself running a few toys short of that last spin, don’t forget you can rush the toy-earning tasks for 8 clams each until you have your 24. It might be worth it to drop a few clams to spin the wheel, and it’s cheaper than most of the wheels they’ve made us pay clams for…

You get a shot at winning Rupert every time you open a box. You can open only 3 boxes a day. You need to collect at least 6 toys to open the first box.

I have Lobster Shanty I just got it yesterday. My second prize was Rupert I might have manipulated the game by taking out my batery a few times to get him. I forgot my first prize.

Tonight I went for my 3rd tea party and guess what I didn’t get Rupert again! I now only have three chances left now with the prizes as spotlight, dansu dansu, peter’s pirate car which I wouldn’t mind getting and Rupert if I ever get him?
I already one character ready to produce a toy, but I will let the next toy change and produce at least one toy early.

I have gotten lobster shanty, koi pond, Pawtucket ale truck, Herbert’s ice cream truck, the spotlights and gold digger island (3 of which I already had). Really hoping I get human Rupert tomorrow, but with my luck I won’t. Stayed up playing 24 hours in a row with pink eye and now I am exhausted. I have to go to sleep. At most I might be able to pull off 1 maybe 2 tea parties tomorrow but I still have 4 left in the boxes. I think the odds are stacked against me. Wish me luck.

It honestly is up to you how you play and how badly you want the item. What it is worth to YOU to spend your clams on. I just can’t offer any solid info on WHEN Rupert will drop. Too random. So it may be in the next one. It may be in the last. All I am saying is play how YOU feel you want to. If you think you can get him for free…go for it. If you would rather spend the clams and try for an extra tonight, do that.

It would be nice if they had a timer for events. I’m in Australia, PDT means nothing to me, I’ve tried putting it into my phone however it runs off set cities and uses GMT and doesn’t seem to take daylight savings into account!
Love the events but hate the frustration!

Have you tried the online time zone conversions? The game is created in California so pretty much all of the time runs off the time there. Pacific Time Zone

Okay after day 3 my final four prizes with 3 more chances tomorrow are Rupert, Shanty, Pirate Car and Dansu Dansu…because Dansu Dansu is the crapiest one I have not picked up I fully expect to open it around 5 something in the morning for the first gift of the day lol. The only two I have wanted during this event is Rupert and Shanty…and they are still up there. On a positive note I will be at least getting one or the other tomorrow. Either way as a freemium player (mostly) 11 free items is a heck of a haul. Thank you Alissa, Bunny and Silly for the constant updates. BTW am I the only one that reads Silly’s responses in Brian’s voice? I am thinking about my revenge is making my pic Morgan Freeman so whoever reads my comments reads it in a Morgan Freeman voice over style

Lol will do….I will do my best to hide my over excitement if my first box is dansu dansu in the morning lol. btw I would love your opinion (or Alissa or Bunny’s) ona Blue Harvest event even being feasible.. I mean they got the right to use the characters or at least resemble the characters without a lawsuit coming their way from Lucas…who has since sold the rights to Disney. I’m thinking even if they do somehow get the rights they will have to sell characters for serious clams to send to Disney but may be overthinking it…anyway thoughts?

Lucas was all for it and on board with the idea and concept…here is the issues. This game is in ownership of TinyCo…so TinyCo first has to get OK from Fox and all linked to the TV Series, then…go to now Disney to see if they can get OK from them too.
I see it as a great possibility…if all are on board. I am sure TinyCo started working on it the day they got the rights to the game. Lol. 😉

I just unlocked rupert but hes invisible…nowhere to be seen….I put the house down but still nothing….also restarted the game but still playing where’s waldo with rupert….is this normal???

hmmm…it could be an issue with your game. Try hard closing & restarting your device. If that doesn’t work best bet is to contact TinyCo and let them know.

Really hoping that I get lucky enough to unlock Rupert! I’ve only done 1 or 2 tea parties per day and have gotten spotlights, Stewie billboard, Herbert’s ice cream truck, koi pond and gold digger island. The latter three of which I already have, so now I’m getting super annoyed that TinyCo hasn’t added a feature that allows players to sell back, or even delete, any items we don’t want.
And in case I don’t unlock Rupert, and I’m sure that many other people won’t get the chance to, I would like to see more chances like this to unlock him OR the option to purchase him for clams. I like the idea of this mini game event, but I wish it would last a day or two longer.

I missed one gift on day 1 because I had Bruce & quagmire on those infernally long blueprint tasks. Still haven’t got the man-bear yet but keeping my fingers crossed for the last 4 draws. If not, at least I will most likely get the lobster shanty, which would be an adequate consolation prize.

What if I was short on collecting toys on the first day? I collected only 2 times; have collected 3 times for the past 2 days. Do some people never get Rupert because of this shortcoming?

The gift of Rupert is random. Some got him in their first box, some 7th, some whatever of 12. It is just …random. You could get him next. There is no way to know when he will be rewarded.

Alissa?, I’d like to add that i have noticed that TinyCo does not change the toys on my US East Coast time zone exactly at 1 am! Clammers should wait to claim toys when the change is confirmed! I say this because i work every other 8 hrs and i was on watch last nite! I watched the clock and collected at 1 am only to realize it did not change until about 20 minutes after 1! 🙂

I’ve been using clams at the end of each day to make sure that I have all 24 and collect that third box per day… No Rupert 😦 A friend of mine got him on the first try… I just hope I haven’t been spending all the clams for nothing.

One strategy that has worked is if it is say 3 hours till toy switch, send all on the four hour quest and after the switch they only have an hour to go to collect the new toys. This in effect gives you a head start at the new toy and the 4 hr runs..

I got Rupert yesterday and also got a couple other items. I’m wondering if there is even any point in me getting more of these toys and if I should go back to unlocking stewie and pewterschmidt (spelled wrong probably)

It’s up to you. It just depends on if you want anything else in the box. You’ll have plenty of time to unlock Stewie and Carter, but only until tomorrow to get the rest of the prizes. So if you’re hoping to snag some more premium items for free it may be worth collecting another round of toys 🙂
