Hello There Clammers!
We’ve just received word from our friends at TinyCo that THEY HEAR YOU! They’ve listened to & read all of the complaints about the Tea Party Event and have decided to extend the event for ONE MORE DAY!
How awesome is it to have a company behind a game that actually listens to their players?! 🙂
Here’s the game plan direct from TinyCo:
-There will NOT be a new toy tonight at 10pm PDT. The event will end at this point, as scheduled.
-TOMORROW (7/23) at some point in the early afternoon PDT, TinyCo WILL add another (new) toy for collecting.
-You will be able to collect the new toy throughout the day, so you can have up to 3 more chances to open the mystery box.
Here’s the deal from Addicts:
-We don’t currently know what time the toy will change tomorrow. We only know it’ll be at some point tomorrow early afternoon Pacific Time. We will continue to check our games throughout the day and let you know as soon as it changes.
-The event WILL end temporarily tonight at 10pm PDT (1am EDT/0500 GMT). So make sure you get your last attempts in to collect the toys tonight. But DO NOT reset the tasks tonight. Wait until tomorrow when it restarts, so you can get a fresh start.
-We do not know if they’ll add more stuff to the box if you already have everything. So if you were lucky enough to open everything, we’re not sure yet if you’ll have more to win tomorrow.
So here’s your chance to collect Rupert, for those of you that haven’t been able to get him yet. TinyCo hears you & they are listening!

I’ve collected four different toys and opened all presents apart from one. The one remaining present is RUPERT!!! Is the extra toy that drops going to be the fifth toy? Or am I just getting myself confused?

It’s just an extra day, but instead of a 10:00pm to 10:00pm time frame, the new time frame will start when the new toy (we don’t know what it will be) drops. 😉

Come on *** damn it! Anyone know if they are adding more stuff if you have collected? I hope so otherwise I’ve wasted another day on not sending Bruce, quagmire, peter and Chris on blueprint and sugar tasks.

Is there any word yet on an approximate time that the event will start up again? I only ask because I have had a stressful day and am starting to get a migraine band would like to take a short nap to combat it. But I need every second of the event in order to be assured that I will get Rupert since I still have Peter’s pirate car, dansu dansu, and Rupert to go prize wise. Thank you all so much for your time and dedication for all us addicts, it is highly appreciated.

UGH!!!! I’m on the east coast, and am stuck in 24 toys from yesterday….and my characters no longer have the option to give toys. Still no Rupert’s for me either… But I did get the lobster shanty.
I agree with other comments about the game crashing and the utter frustration related to it. The response I got from TinyCo, was eh, we are working on it. ….sigh

Hey, I completed all the tasks in order to win rupert and now can’t set more tasks to earn more toys, yet I didn’t get the character. Anyone any ideas what I can do?

The extension hasn’t started yet. It should be a full day. TinyCo indicated you’ll be able to get 3 boxes, it should be a full 24hrs. We’ll know as soon as it hits though 🙂

When you poke the Toy icon in the bottom right it does state that there is an extra toy on Wed (today) yet none of the tasks are awarding a toy still. I’ve only got 3 prizes left in the box (including Rupert) so I need all of the time I can get to be able to get all 3 tea parties. Any word yet as to when the toys are available and when it has been extended until?

Thanks TinyCo. I FINALLY got Rupert. I too used clams the last day in a panic to get Rupert because Stewie is my favorite character and what is Stewie without his Rupert? Wish those calms weren’t so rare! YOU’RE doing a better job then EA & TSTO. Although, I was told you are the same company basically using this name TinyCo…

I sent couple of my characters on there quest last night, which finally helped unlock the costumes a bit faster. Couple of days ago, I posted this

PB&J Brian – 10 Banana Peel, 2 Maracas
Falconer Peter – 2 Satchel, 3 Leather Gloves
4 more areas to clear up some land

I finally have all the buildings, including the ones to buy with clams. The Place building was maracas every time, but the Gift Shop building hasn’t produce one plutonium yet. So hopefully I might get Falconer Peter this week.

So I’m grateful for the additional time, but I can’t help but wonder if I lost an opportunity to play last night. My understanding was the game would reset itself at 10pm last night, but when I looked this morning the Destro toy was still there and so were the quests. I have 16 in the bag, but quit trying because I thought the reset would wipe them and I didn’t have enough time to earn 8 more. Oh well…hopefully I’m wrong.

Going crazy waiting for this toy to change haven’t been able to get 3 tea party’s in one day yet. I have check marks on all 4 toy earners, if I can start as soon as it updates I should get the sexy bear! Thank you tinyco for extending it one day but get on with it already! 100 clams come my way if I get him! All of my fingers are crossed!

Hi! I would like to make a suggestion that would be very helpful to all readers of this wonderful site. Maybe you could put timers on posts for events so that players from different time zones could easily know the time left for each event? Like for example, at the bottom of this Rupert event update, there could be a timer indicating how many days, hours and minutes are remaining in the event. 🙂

Love the idea, only problem, TinyCo changes the timing of the game too often. It would be a full time job just to keep up with them. Lol 😉 Best bet is for each player to download their favorite timer app. and set their own notifications. 🙂

Although I have got all 24 action figures for the day of Tuesday and still have 3 prizes to win inc. Rupert, I’ve sent all 4 characters again for their usual 4hr task to collect the toys.
Even though they completed the task (i.e. 4hrs have elapsed from when I sent them to do their task), I haven’t tapped on their “check mark” as yet and left them as is so that once the new toy of Wednesday kicks in, I’ll tap on each and immediately earn 4 toys already to win me some time.
Do you think this is a good idea or not? Hope I explained myself clear enough to understand me 😛

Perfect explanation! I think you have a sound plan, but since this will basically be a mini one day event, it’s difficult for us to know how it actually will play out.

Long time reader, first time poster. I think the extension sounds great because I haven’t had the greatest experience with the tea party. I had a late start on Saturday so I only had one item that day, then I’ve been getting items I already own like Herbert’s ice cream truck. While I like getting some of the premium decorations for free, it’s been a bit of a shame not to get Rupert so far, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be lucky. Though I do have a busy day ahead of me, so I hope to be able to get on at some point.
PS – Thanks for all the great work you guys do, having you guys around really helps what is a great experience with this game even more fun.

So has it started? Around 10 hours ago, before reading your site, thinking i no longer have enaugh time to collect toys, i send the characters on tasks collecting items for brian and stewie. I wasnt that mad since you said the quest will not start until later. Just now when i wanted to send the characters on new tasks, yesterday’s toy is still there so i just send them to do the tasks. Will it affect my chance for the new quest or what? I’m so confised right now. And to make matter worse, i’m in south east asia, so all the times given just add up to my confusion. Lol

Check this out….. first day… BAMM I got rupert… crazee enough? Second try. I got that Dance club. Third try I got the lobster Shanty. Second day first try… I got Gold diggers island… I had a previous one and with that I have 2 placed.. Second try I got peters pirate car.. checked it this morning and I recieved the stewie flower.. that was my worst present.

This is brilliant news. Hopefully get rupert tonight! On a side note, my XP meter has been stuck on 40 and a little bit for over 4 days now. It flashes that xp is being added but doesn’t budge. I asked tiny co and got a generic response (the last post in the troubleshooting guide appeared because of me asking). I have replied and got nothing back for 2 days from them. Anyone else had this?

I thought I was having this same problem just to realize it is moving extremely slow. I think its just that getting to level 41 is way more harder to reach then level 40. I thought it was stuck for the longest time, but its just moving like a turtle with sore feet

It takes forever on the upper levels. But personally, I don’t really think about it since it does absolutely nothing…lol Now if free clams were involved, I would check it every visit to my town. 😛

It should be a full day. TinyCo indicated you’ll be able to get 3 boxes, it should be a full 24hrs. We’ll know as soon as it hits though 🙂

Don’t see that happening. No point extending an event for the sole purpose of helping out the Rupertless players, then them not getting Rupert, because they won yet another prize. 😉

If they’re only going to “release” the new toy sometime in the afternoon and then end the event at 10pm, it’s not much of a gift… Might let you open one more box (unless you clam everything). 😦

Any idea how long the extension will last, early afternoon will be close to midnight here in europe. The question is if in the european Thursday morning everything is over or not….

I know this has already been said but DO NOT try to collect off of Bruce, Quagmire, Peter and Chris’s four hour task UNLESS the toy of the day is no longer Destro OR the count next to him went back to zero. Hopefully anyone who is trying to at the very least get 3 more gifts have already sent these 4 onto their toy tasks…that way you can collect Immediately after the toy change and have a lot of leeway to collect the rest of the day…although I recommend just setting your phone alarm four hours ahead from when you finished

Also make sure to check in on this site, Alissa, Bunny and Cyber (did they intentionally go ABC?) have been a bevy of information and probably will drop another article the second the last 24 hours begins (well….probably not second…but pretty close)

I had bruce on the 20hr quest again for maps. Quest extended by a day and I still have 16 of those evil looking toys and a shot at present 3 from yesterday. 4 items left to win, including Rupert. I finally broke down and spent $5 to have 4 shots. Well done TinyCo, you broke my will and I paid off.

Post above shows sometime in the early afternoon on the West Coast…so i’m guessing between 11am-2pm there. Plus there’s a new popup saying a new toy will be in the game today (Wednesday) by popular request. Just a little patience 🙂

Ok. So now I’m confused. It doesn’t look like the event ended yesterday at all as it appears that I can still collect yesterday’s toy. But I had sent everyone on Stewie object collecting overnight because the event was going to end last night at 10 pm (and restart this afternoon). So, now I’ve missed out on getting an additional chance.
The start and end of this event has been a mess IMO. The first toy switch changed from 12 noon (when the event had started just several hours earlier) to 10 pm. I didn’t start collecting until the second day since there was no way i could have collected any toys after starting after 8am with a 12 noon switch. Then the sudden time change cost me a half day. Now the end/not end has cost me another half day. Aggravating..

The event did end at 10:00 last night, but they still need the main parts in the game to run the extension. The new toy hopefully will hit within the next 2 hours.

So, that’s my issue then. The event actually ended, but there is no visual indication that it ended. And unless you followed this or a similar blog you would have no idea what was going on.

I appreciate the extension, however all the characters who earned toys in my game no longer have a task option that will earn them a toy anymore. Bummer.

The quests should still be there, just won’t show the reward. If you send them and speculating they are the same quests, you can send them now then when the new toy starts you have 4+ toys waiting for you.

Just set them to the task that yielded the toys before. I doubt (hope) they won’t change them. I have done that before: the task did not show the toy when I set it (I already had 24), but it did drop the toy after the toy change.

I haven’t been able to get Jerome or Brian to earn anything thru this event. What are the odds of that? Just bad luck I suppose. And still no Rupert. 😦

I’ve got a plutonium-less Brian throughout the event as well! However, Jerome’s still (occasionally) earning Jewels for me. It’s all so random & interesting how no 2 games play the same.

I think it’s cool they are doing this. Now those that opened 11 with no Rupert and couldn’t get that 12 attempt, can now get that last attempt to open the magical box that is Rupert. Took me until the 12th try to get him, but I knew I would have all 12 tries so I wasn’t concerned but for those that might have had only 8 or 9 attempts at least you might get a couple more shots.
I am sure someone will post and complain that it’s not fair that they spent clams to speed things up to get all 12 shots at Rupert and had they known it would be extended then they wouldn’t have spent clams etc… But as you learn, you can not please everyone.

I won Rupert, attempted to place him… and then the game crashed. unlike every other prize I’ve won where the game has crashed soon after, rupert was not there anymore. I did the tea party again and got a koi pond. Needless to say this was very frustrating. I doubt I’ll get rupert again and even if I do I assume the game will crash again. please ask TinyCo to fix the bugs in this game before adding all these updates because the game is becoming impossible to play and cost me rupert. no other app I have is like this. not only does it crash spontaneously but almost every time I tried to open a tea party box the game would crash and close. it’s really a pain and puts me off playing FGQFS

Best thing to do in this case is to send them an in game message about the crash. This way they know exactly what game it came from and they can try and isolate it.

if your close you could take the chance, worst case the reset happens before you’re able to get the next round, but you’ll get a head start for the new round.

I finally got the Lobster Shanty. I wanted to know more about this building but it’s not in your Quahog Real Estate list. I read a couple times somewhere that it drops clams from time to time? How often does that happen?

It does not seem that the event has been extended by a day. I cannot send anyone on “toy” producing tasks and my counter is maxed out at 24. I guess if you did not finish yesterdays parties you can still finish but no extra boxes for today

Nope we weren’t aware of it. However, I can’t seem to find it in the app store (google play) so I can’t look further into it. I’m not surprised though, there’s also a TSTO app that uses our info with our permission.

I experienced two glitches during this event, which is rare for me… I rarely experience glitches on my iPad mini as TinyCo’s coding seems to keep my game in shape. Both times, Bruce would literally disappear from Quahog for more than four hours and then simply reappear from thin air while I was playing other characters and such.
He wasn’t hidden in certain buildings or tasks, he wasn’t interacting with an event or characters, he simply wasn’t there! (Here’s where a TSTO type of character finder may have helped…)
This kept me from two boxes, so I was a bit bummed. Unless I am mistaken, as of today I still don’t have Dansu Dansu (from the event), Lobster Shanty, or Rupert. So the extension really helps!
In my comments and true beliefs I have never begrudged TinyCo for anything considering this is a free game – and they have ALWAYS been responsive to technical support and questions. Adding this extra day as a “market correction” for timing the event properly is just a wonderful thing and obviously resolves (the results for) my former technical difficulties as well 😉

One thing I noticed, don’t know if it’s been mentioned, is that the Gold Digger Island you win from the box does not count for Quagmire’s quest “Place Gold Digger Island”.

I have one action left with peter to get Tricia (Peter was tied up with the rupert event so I took advantage of the lull last night to get one of the actions done. The other peter action is 12 hours so I am holding that off till the end of the rupert event) and have not unlocked bobs funland yet, I have very little to do at this point…

Also because I am in Japan, the timing could’t be worse with my work schedule. I’ll have to sneak off to my phone twice during work and not get caught tapping to get Rupert.
(ok so its not THAT big a deal, i don’t work in a salt mine, lol)
But that not anything I would blame TinyCo for. I am happy they stepped up.
(But I have to wonder if having a new game coming out on Friday had anything to do with it? can’t have any hurt feeling on a new release day!)

Late afternoon e.t. is a rough time for me, third shifter usually asleep at that point (sleep, silly me, Griffin Time!). I’m probably one of the few here ambivalent about getting Rupert. I wouldn’t mind having him, but I actually already got the prize I wanted, Pawtucket Ale truck. Hoping that at some point they release the Brewery, been saving all my clams since the start for this possibility.

I REALLY wish I had seen this article yesterday. I reset 3 of the 4 characters last night at midnight for 12 hour tasks…and now I can’t do anything with them for 5 more hours. I love this game but it keeps pushing people towards spending the clams they have or buying more. Ugh. I have 5 more possible boxes to open…I hope this extra day gives me the opportunity to get Rupert.

I think the rupert gift boxes should be 4 toys, 8 toys and 12 toys as opposed to 6, 12 and 24 just sayin……………

Very pleased with this. Still not sure I will get the elusive little bugger but this gives me a bit more hope.
Either way it’s awesome to know they actually listen to the fans which can only mean great things for the future of the game.
