Hello There Clammers!
We’ve just received word from our friends at TinyCo that THEY HEAR YOU! They’ve listened to & read all of the complaints about the Tea Party Event and have decided to extend the event for ONE MORE DAY!
How awesome is it to have a company behind a game that actually listens to their players?! 🙂
Here’s the game plan direct from TinyCo:
-There will NOT be a new toy tonight at 10pm PDT. The event will end at this point, as scheduled.
-TOMORROW (7/23) at some point in the early afternoon PDT, TinyCo WILL add another (new) toy for collecting.
-You will be able to collect the new toy throughout the day, so you can have up to 3 more chances to open the mystery box.
Here’s the deal from Addicts:
-We don’t currently know what time the toy will change tomorrow. We only know it’ll be at some point tomorrow early afternoon Pacific Time. We will continue to check our games throughout the day and let you know as soon as it changes.
-The event WILL end temporarily tonight at 10pm PDT (1am EDT/0500 GMT). So make sure you get your last attempts in to collect the toys tonight. But DO NOT reset the tasks tonight. Wait until tomorrow when it restarts, so you can get a fresh start.
-We do not know if they’ll add more stuff to the box if you already have everything. So if you were lucky enough to open everything, we’re not sure yet if you’ll have more to win tomorrow.
So here’s your chance to collect Rupert, for those of you that haven’t been able to get him yet. TinyCo hears you & they are listening!

I know TinyCo is a USA based company but I wish they’d think through the timing of they’d updates a little more. It’s 8.45 PM here and no update yet. If it doesn’t come soon, we’ll hardly have time for one cycle of tasks before bed. Meaning unless you’re getting up every 4 hours, we’re missing loads of precious task time. Literally sending an update just a few hours earlier in the day would make such a huge difference.

I had read that some people lost their prize if the game crashed and had to re-draw for another one. So last night I tried to intentionally crash it to get the prize that I wanted (Rupert) and it worked! As soon as the box opens, if you don’t get what you want, do a hard reset on your phone immediately (for most phones it’s holding the power button for 10-15 seconds, but check the specific way for your phone before you try, pulling the battery would probably work too, but my battery isn’t removable so I can’t test that).
It took me about 10 tries to actually get what I wanted, but 20 minutes of restarting my phone was totally worth it to get Rupert instead of a Stewie Flower which is what my first draw was.

Don’t know if anyone posted this yet or not but I just saw this from a comic con site.
Just in time for Comic-Con International, iOS game Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff has announced an appropriately-themed update, adding a whole new storyline and cameos from a bevy of geek chic celebrities.
The new plot line concerns (surprise, surprise!) a comic convention which comes to Quahog. Chaos naturally ensues, and Stewie somehow gets transformed into the evil octopus monster seen in the above picture. To fight him, Quahog enlists the help of an all-star celeb cast including Patrick Stewart, Bryan Cranston, Stan Lee, Ron Perlman, George Takei, Felicia Day, and Nathan Fillion.
With their help, the Griffins and supporting characters are turned into real superheroes, who can use their newfound powers to save the day and restore order to the town.
It’s all appropriately silly stuff (“Because why not, it’s Family Guy,” explain the developers) but if you’re a fan of the game or series – and excited about Comic-Con International – it’s well worth getting hold of the update, which arrives on iOS July 24.

Soon, please, please, please. 2 boxes were left to open, likely going to get a double of Peter’s pirate car cause we need two of everything to play out our own version of Fringe in Quahog. Then hopefully they won’t add new things so I can get my Rupert. For now it’s refresh game, refresh game… :-\

I’m so very glad to get the extension. I was furious. The only prize I have left is Rupert. I worked very hard and only missed one box on the first day. Oh well, hopefully I’ll get another crack at him this afternoon.

I only have two prizes left; Rupert and Dansu Dansu (already have). So heres hoping they wont add additional prizes! Any news on whether they will be adding prizes or if its just a whole extra day to get prizes that are remaining?

I’m watching all of the episodes listed in y’all’s “Where the Hell?… Human Rupert” post to let Rupert know that I want him to start showing up on the screens in my home TODAY, dammit!
Gotta keep myself from going completely crazy while waiting on the new toy of the day to reveal itself! …I have 4 prizes left, but only 3 chances to get Rupert, so LOTS of nervous energy in this addict’s house right now! LOL

I skipped the first day of Tea Party and I have not Rupert either. I only managed 16 toys a day so only 2 mystery boxes per day. I did grab a couple things I did not have but overall I was not excited. I have no new toy today either. Hopefully Rupert will be able to be own some other way.

Hey guys, do you think the super hero event will begin at midnight pt tonight or not until the end of the extended tea party tommorow(for iOS anyway). I’m kinda thinking it’ll be postponed a little to accommodate the extension thinking it would be kinda hard to run 2 events at once. Any thoughts?

This extension ends tomorrow and the next event doesn’t become available until sometime tomorrow, I don’t expect a delay or overlap. 😉

I woke up in the middle of the night the night before last to get all three boxes on the last day. I got a bad start so I still had 6 to go. 5 minutes before the end of the event I collected from my people to get one last box with 4 items remaining and opened it up to find Rupert.
Now I find out that I would have had another chance anyway, but that’s ok, glad they’re making it easier for others ( and gives me more hope of getting future things as well). Thanks again for the up to date reporting on this game, this site is a great resource.

Even with being incredibly diligent and logging in every four hours to collect toys, I’m still without Rupert, and haven’t won a single thing that I haven’t already purchased with my own money. Sad to report, this is my first major disappointment with the game, and I’ve literally been playing since day 1.

Out here on the East coast, it is almost 2pm. If the game ends at 10pm PDT, that only gives us 2 chances and not 3.

The 10:00 PM time ended with the original event. Once the new toy drops, you will have a full day to open your 3 boxes.

so happy with extension didn’t get Rupert but got all the other great stuff, lobster shanty, peters pirate car, ice cream van. Fingers crossed I get Rupert now although being in England think it b an all nighter to make sure I get all 3 attempts

Ok I kid you not. I wasn’t even going to got for Rupert but I got the falcon suit and carter so I just had my characters start a few toy drop tasks. I had 4 toys yesterday and thought well I’m not going to get him no biggy. Today I find its still going on and 2 more toys drop. I got to the box and boom! First try I get him lol.

A slightly off topic question but due to the generosity displayed here I’m going to fork out and give tiny co some of my hard earned moolah!
My question is, if I go for the BOGOF quest just to get rid of it will I then be greeted with more premium quests? Or will it finally be gone from my quest log forever? Iv been put off paying in case they then throw quests such as buy the premium characters or something at me.

The BOGO quest will apply to any package you get, so pick a clam option you like best and they’ll double it 🙂
