Hello There Clammers!
Just after 12pm TinyCo time and still no new toy. But have patience one WILL be hitting our games this afternoon, and as soon as it does we’ll let you know. Keep in mind it will be a BRAND NEW Toy…so the Action Figure will change to something else. Once that change happens, then you’ll see the characters have the actions to earn them again and the toy counter at the bottom will reset.
So now…while we’re all waiting for a new toy (New Toys!!!) let’s take a sneak peek at the NEWEST Event that will be hitting our games starting tomorrow (for iOS players)….

First off…our very own Bunny will be at San Diego Comic Con and reporting from it. So stay tuned to Addicts for all that fun insight!
Second…a Comic Con is coming to Quahog?! Sweet!
Here’s the newest info released from TinyCo about the Comic Con event…
Starting July 24, Comic-Con International will be hosting a new comic convention in Quahog. Stewie gets transformed into an evil octopus monster so Quahog needs a new set of heroes to help fight back! Celebrity guest stars (including Patrick Stewart, Bryan Cranston, Stan Lee, Ron Perlman, George Takei, Felicia Day, and Nathan Fillion) arrive in time to train the Griffins into real superheroes. Players will use newfound superpowers to save the day and restore order to the town.

Remember this event will be hitting Apple devices first. So iOS users check your app markets starting tomorrow (7/24) for the Comic Con update! Kindle and Android players it’ll hit your App stores a week later (7/31).

I received a download prompt and updated. Got all the minon Stewie stuff and then the game prompted me to reload the game, now I’m faced with a connection error every time I try to reload… so sad

My “update” transferred over to my android tablet so I am able to play to cross platform as I do anyways. Haven’t ran into any problems yet just started playing.

Your comic con event did? Certainly odd if it did because many players are locked out from it. But lower level games don’t get hit with the update just yet, so perhaps that’s why you don’t have an issue.

Besides the app icon and splash page i see no difference, i even have trap jaw on my game.

Doesn’t look like they know what they’re doing when they can’t release the platforms simulataneously. I’m pretty much sure they’ll have the event end on both platforms at the same time, though.
And that after they boasted about their über-awesome game engine in a blog post titled “iOS first or Android first? TinyCo no longer has to choose” and proclaimed “Treat Android as a first-class citizen… it’ll pay off!” in another post (both at http://www.tinyco.com/blog/). Yeah, right.
I was already p’d-off at the iOS-exclusive Golden Suit Peter and don’t feel much love now.

Why do Android users have to wait another week for this event? A day (or maybe two) is understandable, but a whole week 😦 Has TinyCo given a reason for this seemingly unfair situation?
That gripe aside, gotta say I’m loving this site… Alissa & Bunny ~ you guys rock! 🙂

As far as we’ve been told it has to do with roll outs. But nothing really concrete about why. My theory is it has more to do with contracts with the app stores then anything.

At first I was upset when I read about the week delay for andriod but than I thought that this is actually a good thing bc it will give me another week to get the suits pewtershmit and Stewie. Once I have them I cam focus solely on the event. Just as long as Android users get an extra week longer than the ipoos people. Cause if not im calling complete BS on this.

This sucks cause android needs to wait a extra week 😦 they should release 24/7 on android and amazon and app stores in 31/7. But no, android needs to wait. ALWAYS. Why The F**K IOS GETS THOSE UPDATES FIRST. IF THEY RELEASE FIRST ON ANDROID AND APP STORE LATER CAUSE THEY WILL GET MORE $$$$. IM REALLY MAD 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

So if I understand this iOS / Android thing. I can start the event tomorrow on my iPhone and obtain any exclusives there may be then the following week log into my Android phone and pick up where I left off and get those exclusives as well?

The more I think about it, the more I realize Android releases a week later has WAY more pros than cons. All the hiccups will be revealed, and strategies for efficiency will surface. Not to mention any bugs or flubs on Tinyco’s end won’t be around for the ‘second wave’.
This is going to be awesome.

Love this blog. Loved the last event and can’t wait for the Comiccon event to land. have to wait though being on Android however i did see a nice little titbit of info from tinyco elsewhere….

Apple products are like those blocks you hammer shapes through in kindergarten. Smooth, colorful, drool resistant.
Then you see the boy with the shaggy hair going to town on his leapfrog, knocking out colors, shapes, letters and numbers. It confuses you so you laugh at shaggy-haired kid.

I play both on my iPad AND my android phone. Not sure how this event will play out with my account with the Droid being a week behind.

If you start on the iPad you won’t be able to access your town on your phone. The iOS will update it and the Android won’t recognize the update until it hits the Android market. So you’re at an advantage because you can start it earlier than Android players, but a disadvantage because you won’t be able to play on your phone for a week.

Don’t stress. I’m not 100% sure, but I have a feeling you won’t need him. It may be similar to the Full Moon Event where only the first 3 district characters had tasks. No need to stress about it until the event hits and we’ll be here to provide you with plenty of insight on the event 🙂

Sweet! I’m not very close to unlocking Stewie though, so if the mutant octopus skin is in the game, I hope that players who haven’t unlocked him yet will still get a chance to get the costume.
And I know this website doesn’t like to post anything that isn’t confirmed, so I’ll just that I’ve seen some game files from the event, and if they end up being in the game many people will be very excited 🙂

I’m assuming you wont actually need Stewie for the event. Sort of like his tea party didnt need him.
They are using comic con to promote their game (show the game at comic con and you get a free kid robot figure) and of course this event is part of that, surely they wouldnt screw over new players.
Hope patrick stewert is playable :p though he will probably be clams if he is.
Looking forward to this event as much as the blue harvest one which will surely be coming in 2015 when the new film+series+battlefront 3 is released!

Any tips for playing on an iPad 1 without going berzerk? I thought I was the only one using that device, given how frequently the game crashes on it. I have an iPhone 5 too, but the game is soooo small on that screen. If you have the secret to crash-free (or even tolerable) gameplay on the iPad 1, I’m all ears.

Well my iPad 1 just decided it didn’t want to work with this new version (grabbed my husband’s old iPhone as backup, thankfully)…so my tips are limited lol. I really only use it to check game differences and monitor when an update hits 1 device over another. However, it looks like nothing has hit just yet 🙂

So I use both andriod and apple to play the game so should I stop playing on my andriod phone until it updates a week later. Or can I still play on my phone.

Once the update hits, if you want it, only play on your iOS device. It won’t allow you to switch back and forth until it hits Android.

I guess what I’m not understanding about the current event is how will we even get close to getting 14 or 24 toys if it hasn’t even started yet and the day is almost 2/3 of the way over?? We need at least 8 hours just to get the 6 toy box.
