Update: Just got word from our friends at TinyCo that the extension will end at 9pm TinyCo Time (PDT)…which is midnight on the East Coast & 0400GMT.
We were hoping (and they were pushing) for a 24 hr extension…BUT with the new update due to drop tomorrow (7/24) they’re up against TIGHT time restrictions. Hopefully letting you guys know now about the end time will help you get everything you need to unlock your final toys….

Just after 1pm TinyCo Time (PDT) the new toy for the extended portion of the event has dropped…
The new toy to collect is the Robot Trap Jaw. (thank you to the readers who pointed it out to me 🙂 )
All the same rules as before apply with regards to characters that can earn the Robot and the task length.
And we can now confirm….at least in my B game…nothing new has been added to the box. So it’s the exact same content as before, just 1 extra day for it all.

Don’t want to spend 64 clams to get another box with Rupert inside of it.
I wish we would have had 24 hours instead of so little time. Didn’t even get Rupert. Looking at those people who won Rupert on their first or second try makes me unlucky.
Like really I now need 1 more prize which is Rupert. (Started with 170 clams and ended up with 90) spend 80 clams and didn’t got Rupert.

I think you’re being overly generous to TinyCo. As there’s less than 8 hours for this “bonus” day, the only way anyone can get 1 prize, let alone 3, is by spending clams to speed up the tasks. This is nothing more than a money making exercise that had been squeezed in before the next one. Yes, that’s what they’re in the market for but don’t dress it up to be something it’s not. If the next update is more of the same – using the same characters which are already needed to unlock other characters / costumes, unrealistic timescales which don’t give completists the option to sleep, poor chance of obtaining premium items etc – then it will be getting deleted. There’s no point playing a game which just annoys you and I suspect many others feel the same.

Look at it this way…no one expected to be playing it today. Take it as that and hope that they improve down the road with things like this. Take that they listened to players requesting more time and leave it at that. It’s a step in the right direction. 🙂

I can feel the pain for those in some other countries but they pretty much did this because most people only got 2 the first day because it was not announced and had very tight time restrictions…that being said those people in the other countries were probably awake when this even started while we were asleep so they should of at least received two themselves. So there is zero reason why you can’t get at least the one and it would be relatively cheap to get two if you need them..now if you are many prizes away from getting all 12 its your call if you want to pay the clams for the 3rd chance…would hate to hear about someone dropping 80-90 clams to get koi pond or GD Island…but that would be your gamble..if you are feeling lucky lol. Plus I am kinda surprised that people who already received all 12 complaining on here….you already got it?? crazy. Anyway thanks for the constant updates All..great page for info!!

Any word from TinyCo yet about the “official” end time for this extension? The sooner we know the better, so we’ll know whether we have to speed up with clams or not.
Also, any idea yet what Rupert will cost in clams after the event ends? He is in the row of characters you buy.
One more thing, I’ve heard that hard resetting your phone could give you another shot at rupert if a prize comes up you don’t want. I also heard putting your phone in airplane mode, exiting the game, disabling airplane mode, then rebooting the game will give you another shot at him. Which method is more likely to work? If I am able to open only one more box, it damn well better be worth my time and possible clams. Thanks guys!

I am fairly confident Rupert will be available for purchase, since he is in fact part of the 100 clam ‘premium character’ reward list.
Tinyco just gave us an opportunity to get him for free, or secure him for less than his pricetag will be. Essentially, my Rupert cost me 200 clams (topiary) but I also got 150 clam pirate car, a 65 clam Lobster Shanty, and around 50-75 more clams in other various prizes. Plus the 100 clam bonus since I used the remainder of my 650 clams (19.99) to buy Buzz Killington.
So 650 clams turned in to 275 clams worth of items, 100 actual clams and Rupert (add his future cost to this run-down). I have 350 clams left.
If you didn’t spend a dime on this event, you got more than you paid for the second you opened 1 box.

This, really this looks like an event where you spend clams to earn prizes.I liked it until the extension. If they need an extension it should be an useful extension not one you can’t get anything 😡
Many people said at the beginning when the game came out that its better than tsto. But now after the past events I think tsto is much much much better at making thing fair and awesome to play.
Hopefully the hero event is something good! Not a lot of grinding and random prizes I hate that.

Spend over a hundred clams to open the last 3 boxes and still no Rupert. He is the only prize that I didn’t get and really the only one I wanted. I’m sure that they will offer him for clams at some point but I don’t think I willing to spend any more money.

I had already deleted the game before this extension and I’m not regretting bit at the moment. I’m curious what this event is going to be like exactly and if they make it fair (less of a cash grab, no games of chance or at the very be up front about the odds and don’t lead people on like this toy event did where having the items disappear each time didn’t really help since the majority of people seem to have gone down to the last box to get Rupert).
I get they were trying to do something nice with this extension but in the end it was poorly executed.

They had been trying to extend it another 24 hours, but details on the next event and timing issues forced them to end it at 9:00 PM PDT. It’s still nice, though, that they could at least add some more time to an event that ended “technically” last night.

So that’s an additional run time of approximately 7 hrs 40 minutes (from when it popped up). I got four toys right away from waiting completed tasks, but without using clams I won’t be able to get more than one last shot. I better make it count!!

What the heck?! I am glad for the extra time but resetting the toy at 1pm and ending at 10pm same day will barely allow 1 box unless you spend clams. I seriously hope the end time is actually 24 hrs. Otherwise, I’m not really sure I appreciate TinyCo being “gracious”

Note:
I had my guys on tasks & got the 6 toys needed w the topiary & sandbox. When I go to open box, Consuela pops up & says, “No, no, no. Your purchase no work. We fix. You try again later.”
Does this mean if we were able to open all boxes before endtime last night, we can’t play this event anymore? The post here says they added a prize; but my available prizes are blank. I thought we could still collect & try to win the additional prize or clams. (Clams never showed up in my previous prize options though.)

You wrote that you confirmed nothing new was added to the box. So what happens if you open more than 12 boxes? And can you confirm that everything you already got is still considered “gotten” and no duplicates will be given received? (Meaning if you only had Rupert left, your first box will definitely have Rupert and not anything else.)

That should be the case. Just check the little magnifying glass on the box when you unlock it to make sure it’s just 1 prize left. That’s how it is in my game…but I know sometimes random games have random glitches.

By spending clams. I just woke up to find I have 7 hours to open 1more box (cause had the first box ready to go). With my work schedule I will have to hurry the sandbox at least once to get that final box.
Those cheeky little monkeys found a way to squeeze me for 1 more clam, lol!
