Hello There Clammers!
Looks like the late night updates continue…either that or someone pushed the “red button” a little too early…in either case if you play on iOS head to your App Store and download the latest version of TQFS….
As always more details as I work through the game…and wake myself up (it is nearly 2 am here)..
So…I’ve gone through the update (as have many of you) and at the moment…nothing is new.
It appears as if someone did in fact press the “red button” too early OR this is similar to what happened when they rolled out Full Moon. It hit Android devices but didn’t trigger until Apple had the download (which, if I remember correctly, was close to a week).
In any event…I’ll keep checking and seeing if I see anything new pop up in the game via iOS…but for now it’s nearly 2:30 am…this is my 3rd game update of the day…I’m going to bed.
Update: Just after 7am on the East Coast of the US the event has officially started for iOS players. Details will be coming shortly……

Ok i’ve FINALLY been able to go through the game and check things out…rundown is below the fold.
Update: 1:30 PM EDT… I’ve added a lot of info below, including a glitch report from TinyCo about known glitches that they’re working on. I still have to finish playing through everything myself to get the rest of the details. This is as updated as it’s going to get for now…right now I’ve gotta actually work, work. More as I can get some time to go through it…

This will run similar to the Full Moon Event….as of right not there are 46 days 9 hrs 15m left in the the event. So it should end around September 9th….
Here’s the Event Details from the Game itself…. 
The new event currency for this one is Blam! Energy Drinks. You collect them, just like you did the butts. They’ll look like this:
In the same area of your Quahog where the Pyramid was you’ll see the ComicCon Event. Convention Center and a few other buildings. You’ll have to collect Blam! in order to unlock these.

Looks like the construction image is appearing randomly in the playspace sometimes. It’s just a visual bug.Event District Bugs
– if a player on the Comic Con event visits a friend that’s still on the Peter Griffin and the Kingdom of the Full Moon event, their Blam will change to Moon idols. This should not affect their total or progress in the game. It’s simply the wrong asset that’s loading. We’re working on this too!
Just to clarify, you’re not suppose to get Blam from visiting friends, but if you visit a friend who’s still on the Adventure event, when you return to your original Quahog, your Blam may appear as Moon Idols now.

I’ve already collected 1150 blam so far shouldn’t be too tough to get the prizes for this event since i assume at some point premium characters will also collect blam like the last event

It is just ridiculous that a company would put out an update to IOS first, android has over 78% of the mobile market and even a big percent of iphone sales out there are big business like GE where all they use is iphone for there employees who only use phone for business. If my companies sales and development department did something like this they would all be writing resumes by now. Time is money and clients are gold, push to the larger group of consumers first or you might just lose them.

It has more to do with app contracts than anything I’m sure. Just like iOS got an exclusive skin for Peter.

It’s honestly not TinyCo. They do a lot of ridiculousness, but this isn’t them. I have friends that do apps. Big apps like these are run through so many test to keep users safe from people making apps to harm others, sometimes not on purpose. App iOS store seems to always pass testing a bit quicker(well they been doing it longer), than the android store. Don’t worry like I’ve said before, anroid users have a week off and can learn from the iOS first week. This is for Alissa #goios #goapple :p

With 7 new characters coming in this Comic-Con Event, 2 in District 9, and 5 more on the way… TC is gonna need to make some sort of list so that we can keep track of all our characters. It should say what characters are doing what and how much longer they’ll be doing the action. And also there should be something to tell us if all of our characters are performing actions or not. I think this would be a great addition to the game and I hope we can see something like this sometime in the near future. Thanks!

I agree 100%, there’s way too much fumbling around figuring out who is doing what and when they will be done. We need essentially a “Task List” that shows what every character is doing at any moment. Preferably sorted by how soon they will finish.

Not sure if anyone has noticed but if you update and play on iOS and then attempt to try playing on an Android after the new update you are able to continue the ComicCon expansion with no problems. Seems only those who solely use Android for this game are unable to play the updated game until next Thursday,

Dear Alissa, can you make a poll about wether or not the Clamterprise and Comiccon building (the upper area) should stay (but maybe moveabe)? I love it (so do my friends) and we are sad to hear they will disappear after the event. A poll could give a sign to Tiny co that people like it very much.

So i decided I’m going to make sure I get as much as possible without paying (spent clams on rupert lol).
I even made a plan (addict :P) to get as much blam as possible as it stands (for both sleeping/work and free time) xD

I think it’s gonna be tough to do, especially since some of the blam characters are needed for other tasks (getting stewie for example). If you can check your game almost hourly during the day and set your characters to long tasks at night, it might be possible. I’m thinking about springing for the blam monster truck. Still on the fence.

Well what I did was write down their task time and blam, then divided their blam by the time to see which one gave out the most. Compared the prices to come up with the best one.
The first thing I learned is that having 2 blam characters do a task together gives you less blam. Example:
Jerome+peters hand shake = 8 blam every 2 hours = 4 an hour.
During the day you can make peter surf the bird (by far the best task in the game lol) or do taxes with Mort. If you’ll finish peter atleast 16 times in 6 hours do surf the bird, if not (and you’ll be on in 6 hours) do taxes. Any way for this example I’ll use ‘do taxes’ because its a set amount in 6 hours.
Do taxes = 16 blam every 6 hours = 2.66 an hour
Jerome can save lois for 10 hours = 23 blam = 2.3 an hour
2.3+2.66= 4.96 a hour. Which is more than the handshake.
This is a complicated example becuase it changes when bonnie has finished getting all the pizza and if you wont be on in 10hours (for jeromes task). Then you have a choice to make.
When bonnie is free again, she’ll do her task with lois and Jerome will be playing ball for 2blam an hour.
Then peter will need to earn atleast 4 blam from surf a bird in 2hours or else the hand shake is better.
Now the actual plan:
Assuming work/sleep is 8 hours
Peter: 80s dance (with cleaveland) – 20blam
Quagmire: enjoy carrots – 8blam
Chris: enjoy private time – 7 blam
Bonnie: get lapdance (with Joe) – 20blam.
However she will likely be doing the pizza task all week.
Jerome: save Lois (with Lois) – 23 blam
If you wont be on in 10 hours, but will in 8 make him do the 8 hour task for 8 Blam.
Bruce: I dont have a pla because he was fretting for an item. He’ll likely be doing it all week, but when its finished, one of his 8 hour tasks is probably best whilst sleeping/working because I dont think he has any partner tasks.
For free time
Quagmire: mix drinks – 2 blam
Chris: walk brian (with brian). 5 blam – (Best task for blam in the game other than surf the bird)
Bonnie: put lotion on Lois (with lois) – 13 blam.
Bruce: again, dont know his tasks because he is fretting. But unless he has a partner task, his shortest task is likely the best one
Jerome+peter, Whilst bonnie is getting pizza (AND you’ll be on in 10 hours):
Jerome: save Lois. (With Lois) – 23blam
Peter: surf the bird/do taxes 16+blam (depending on how much you’ll be on, Surf the bird could earn alot more than 16)
When bonnie is done with pizza and she has taken Lois away, or you wont be on in 10 hours:
Jerome: play ball – 2blam
Peter surf the bird- 1 blam
UNLESS you wont finish peter 4 times in 2 hours. Then the best is the handshake.
So thats my plan.
Might seem long and complicated, but atm with only patrick stewart to unlock (from the update atleast) the only ‘hard’ one is peter/bruce/bonnie, because they change depending on whats what.
I want the characters though so my bonnie will be on the strip pole working her butt off!
Jerome will be saving lois 2times a day, sleep and then again straight after, then go to short tasks till bedtime
Peter will be 80s dancing at the club, same times as jeromes saving Lois and surfing the bird the rest/short task the rest.
If you do see this, and you understand it, I hope it helps lol.
Atm I cant see there being a way to get 100k but the event is 40days, so it will likely add new things in at some point.
Also this plan likely changes when new characters are able to be unlocked. But the basics stay the same.

So just logged on and I got the quest to unlock hammered, which as expected chanbes things, but the good thing is, atm non of the. Really effect each other than Bonnie so you can just keep everyone esle going as normal whilst you’re collecting items. (If you want to collect the items of course).
But the plan could change depeding on captain hammereds’ tasks.

Concerning Android, there was a 43.55mb update, and now I can see in my Android device the convention center and the event counters, dematerialized nerds, etc. As I play in both systems, not sure what an Android only player would see.
Did the character section in the store updated? I don’t remember the 5 upcoming ones being listed. Also, Captain Hammered is listed as “coming soon” and “locked” when he is already available.

Not happy right now you need pizza slices to unlock Patrick’s to the only character that drops pizza slices is Bonnie but it is the same task that drops jewels for stewie since I don’t have stewie unlocked yet so Bonnie working it is a multiple prizewinner so of course I got the jewels which other characters also drop and not a pizza slice which is unique to her why Tinyco why

You can do it in any order, but the event will prompt you to do it in a certain order (lowest priced to highest) 🙂

I haven’t been able to get into the game since 4th of July. Thus comic con update will load all the freaking way across the splash screen, then the game crashes.

According to math, 🙂 , you can get 86,400 Blam! a day doing Peter’s 1minute job. Asuming you never sleep, take no time at all to drag the job and drop it, and have nothing else better to do. 😉

I don’t normally stick up for TinyCo, but I have to on this one. Android and Apple stores, require stick approval for the apps. Why you might ask, they run tests for your protection. These test check to see If holes exist, viruses exist and so one. Some small app fly by in these tests, while larger ones take a bit to pass. Also, Alissa said somewhere they’re may be a surprise for android device users. Which may have brought extra testing.
So Android users, enjoy the week off. There’s a ton of craziness to start this event. Also you get a chance before you start to use all the information from ios. You can get all the characters that drop blams and have them do the longest task. Then when you start the event, your starting with a bunch of blams 😀

Jot got the rock-it playground and I love it. I got it by sitting on my iPad and putting peter on the 1 minute task a lot. Gonna hate having to work the next 5 day cause I won’t be able to play since my phone is android.

Am I crazy that my Android updated to the event just fine, just now?
I was so excited that I brought my iPad to the office today and was playing on it all day (ok, on frequent strategic breaks, haha)… but I noticed the Play Store had an update, and now my Android is updated too!
I definitely just squashed a buncha nerds and collected some blam! on my Droid Razr Maxx (and the increased blam! is showing up on my iPad, too).
Am I setting myself up for some tragic data loss momentarily?… or did TinyCo decide not to screw over Team Android with a week-long wait after all?!

The cheapest Blam earning truck is 200 CLAMS?! Jeez, I already feel violated & I’m not able to play this event for another week! TinyCo better have one awesome surprise for us android users! I’ve been watching Family Guy for years, & I’ve just noticed: the characters have only three fingers on each hand instead of four! I didn’t notice that until I saw the picture of the new loading screen with Takei doing the Star Trek gesture thing, stuck out like a sore thumb then! Did anyone else just notice that also?

It is taking a while to collect blam, so I don’t want to squander it too quickly. I already have the Clamterprize and Q fixed and I have collected all but a few items for Patrick Stewart. Which do you suggest I spend my 1,000 blams on first: to fix the convention center or to unlock Patrick Stewart? Which is more beneficial at this early stage in the game?

Quick question from Scotland, I’m a little confused!
I mainly play on my android but from time to time pop in on my iPad. What are the implications of doing this? For example, if I update my iOS device and start playing on that, will I be able to transfer back to my android on 31/7 and keep all my progress or will it reset back to the start?
In other words do I need to choose what device to play the game on from now on and stick to that device for the foreseeable future?

You should be able to. Just like you can get the Gold Suit for Peter on iOS even if you start on Android. 🙂

For people worrying about the Blam per day math…remember the moon event had same issue, but then went through a couple multipliers speeding up collection during event. I’m guessing this will follow same pattern.

I am hoping it would also happen with this event, but I believe it would be highly unlikely. I think it was just an error on their part during the moon idol event. The only reason I reached the 100k mark during the last event was because there was a short period where the game had an incredibly high spawn rate for the mummies. They were spawning every minute. It was possible to get 10k idols in a day. That is the only way I see for me to get 100k without buying premium stuff. To be honest, would be glad to just reach 50k and get the Q building.
Once the other outfits/chars get released, it would be harder to get Blam cause we would end up focusing on tasks that drop items rather than the tasks that yield the highest blam.

This is kinda off subject i have android and a few things happened this morning peep pants showed back up cant collect items but can buy for 500 clams, rupert got a quest line ,cant visit certain neighbors guessing they are ios was also wondering does the premium characters drop blam like in full moon and are there 2x the drop it looks like a cool event

Well that stinks. Tried to play on my iPad before I saw the comments and now I’m hosed. It won’t open past the loading screen on my iPad and won’t let me play without upgrading the app on my android. Screwed either way.

So im android and that means im gonna miss a full week of the event. It kinda sucks because even if we started today like ios, theres still a very good chance that we wont get everything. Im gonna go rant (nicely) about this on their fb page. I noticed they listen to what the players ask

The new premium building are not dropping items. The sign says always drops but the items are dropping at their normal rates. Is this a glitch?

In Face Space there are 7 characters, and the outline of one has Nathan Fillons hair, so I think we can stop calling that part a rumor.

Hopefully they learned from their mistakes with the last event and actually make all the prizes reasonably earnable in this one. The last one I spent clams on and logged in 4-5 times per day and still didn’t even get close to King Butt. I’m getting real tired of their horribly imbalanced events.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like it’s going to be hard to collect enough Blam!. I mean the highest prize is 100,000 Blam! which means roughly 2,000 Blam! per day. And as of now the character tasks don’t give out much Blam! at all. And the only other way to get Blam! is through the nerds or buying the premium trucks. Even then it seems impossible to get 2,000/day.
Idk maybe I’m just overwhelmed with all the new things of the event. Either way I do hope they introduce newer features later on to help with Blam! collecting.

Hopefully soon the premium characters will be able to get Blam also like the last update and the special costumes are able to get extra Blams also

I seem to recall in the last event that completing certain tasks/quests also awarded bonus moon idols. Also the final task defeating king butt had a moon idol multiplier for that task too, so maybe we’ll see something like that.

So, if Android players don’t get the update for another week, does that mean that we keep it for a week longer? I have to say, though, I’m really disappointed. They have been splashing me for several days now about the update coming today, and I don’t get it until the thirty-first? Really? What is that? (Side note, too much content (never thought that I’d say that) coming in at too quick a pace. My characters are stretched a little thin. For that reason alone, I’m happy for the delay.)
TL; DR: Do Androids get an extra week? +blahblahblah…

So I am a bit confused about the whole Q hotel thing now I’m currently repairing the Q for 350 blam but under the list of prizes you receive the Q after receiving 50,000 blam so is this a case where you actually get a second Q or does it mean you only get to keep the Q after the event if you’ve reached the 50,000 blam mark

Going to have a post up about this shortly…BUT the basics are…once you win the “Q” that one can go anywhere in your town. However, the other one has to stay in the game space where it is…so only the winnable “Q” can be moved and part of your Quahog, while the other one has to stay put.

Soooooooo frustrating that Android is lagging again. Well, at least TSTO released Level 43 yesterday. I guess I’ll spend my time over there instead. My frustration is flipping back and forth so much between TSTO and FGTQFS that I am getting confused who I am angry with anymore.

No clear answer has been given. We suspect it has something to do with the app store contracts. However, TinyCo has indicated that they’ve got something special planned for Android users

This event seems to be working in TinyCo’s favor. I’ve been tracking their daily grosses (compared to TSTO) on iOS and this event has made a significant impact already and it’s only day 1 of the event. I even bought another $20 worth of clams myself and got the super truck. I’m a happy tapper (or Questor)! 🙂
