Hello There Clammers!
TinyCo has dropped a little weekend mini quest in our laps to go along with the Comic Con Event. Here’s the deal:
More details below….WARNING Spoilers ahead
Basically restore:
– 100 Blam! (4hrs to restore)
-350 Blam! (8hrs to restore)
-1,000 Blam! (16hrs to restore)
And win this….
-Rocket is 3×3 in size. Will be placed in your inventory when you win it.
Total cost 1,450 Blam! and 28 hrs you could win the Rocket! (and yes you need to finish building everything before the weekend is over).
You have until the end of the weekend to win! (3 days, so Monday)
Pretty cool deal…hopefully something similar will be hitting for Android players too!
In addition to the weekend quest, a new Blam! earning premium decoration has been added.
Blam! Sommelier- 700 Clams, Earns 250 Blam!/8hrs
A few more sneak peaks at what’s to come have been released in the game as well….
So it looks like most of the fun won’t start until AFTER it arrives on Android… 🙂

I just started the Comicon event and the task to win the Rocket just popped up for me with 3 days to go. This leads me to believe that it will be a timed quest for anyone once they reach a few event missions passed hopefully.

Right now, just doing the math on what’s available to earn Blam. NO. Basically, those who choose to play completely free, will still get a bunch of cool free stuff to add to their towns. Those that choose to buy and use clams, will be awarded by getting even more (possibly all) of the cool stuff to add to their towns (which they should, since they are the ones helping to fund the game).

I love this game but I’m frustrated with the BLAM! It’s too difficult to collect them, 2 an hour for 4 characters? It’s just too little. And I agree with some of the comments below, for buying the brain dead horse, consuela and ALL the pay for characters they should ALWAYS earn currency in EVERY event, it just makes sense 🙂
But my real reason for posting is bc I’m working towards getting the last building fixed for the rocket ship which is 1000 BLAM! I had almost 700 BLAM! and BOUGHT superhero peter to speed up the process, it said he needed 350 BLAM! But it was already checked off and when I bought superhero peter, I had 174 BLAM!

Remember, any building, character or outfit that requires event currency (or coins when no event is running) will deduct it from your “usable” total. The check mark just meant, you now had enough Blam stored up in your spendable amount. Once you activated the outfit, all the items were collected (including the required Blam).

Some thoughts:
They should offer the opportunity to buy BLAM just like clams or cash. Think it would help out ppl that are really close to a prize they want and they can’t get it before the event ends.
Also, I assume the drop rates of the BLAM are nerfed until the event is open to both, but 400 clam and 700 clams for 100 and 250 respectively drop rate is absurd. Need to triple that to make it worthwhile

Yea, that 700 clam “assist” item is bugging me too. I know it will produce lots of Blam over the course of the event. And I know without it, premium players, like me, most likely won’t reach the 100,000 Blam goal. But I’m still on the fence. 😉

Is it worth buying 1 of each of the Blam Truck, Blam Super Truck and Blam Sommelier for a hefty price of 1300 clams as it yields only approx 900 – 1000 Blams a day (taking into consideration 7hrs sleep :P) which totals to approx only 40000 Blams during the whole event and still leaving approx 60000 Blams to collect in some other way for the grand price of 100000 Blams to get Takei? :S

That is indeed the question, my friend. It’s difficult to answer because we don’t know what other tricks TC has up their sleeves (remember the late Jelly-yo addition). It just comes down to what makes you happy and what amount of investment are you willing to put into the game. 😉

I almost assure you the blam collection rate rate will double sometime after the android release just like it did with the opening of the pyramid in the full moon event. & new blam opportunities will arise along the way. A single sommelier will about guarantee the 100,000 & with all three you should probably have all the blam you need within the first 30 days. The junkie in me is starving for a fix — this plutonium & shipoopi maintenance program just isn’t cutting it.

This is not related to the ComicCon event, but I noticed something within the game that does not make me a happy player…
All my characters just completed their 4-hour tasks, but the pay out is not like it is promised. When Quagmire releases the Gerbil you are supposed to get 50 coins, I however only got a payout of 20 coins. After I noticed it I started to double check; how many coins should I get after completing a task & how many coins do I actually get… I even kept the balance of my total amount of coins in check. And it appears that the promised pay-out and actual pay-out are all way off… Sadly.
Has anybody else experienced this issue?

To be truthful, I don’t pay much attention to the payouts (I also forget to double check receipts from stores..lol), but now that you have mentioned it, I’m going to check mine. You might have found yet another “bug” (common when a event like this goes live). They are currently addressing several issues that surfaced since Thursday. Send TinyCo an in game message and tell them what you have been tracking. 🙂

Since you mention it, I collect money several times a day, even more since the new event started, but have noticed that I haven’t been getting as much money daily, in fact I’ve been getting less that before, I used to get at least 25,000 a day, but it’s been several days and I haven’t even gotten that much a day in over Two days.

Have the drop rates for non event stuff decreased? I keep alternating Lois to get the glove and plutonium. Nothing. All joe does is target practice to get the glove. I have sent Bruce and Herbert 2x each on tasks for plans/blueprints or whatever they are called. Nothing. Quagmire has been watching porn for 36 hours straight. No plans. Meg has only given me a sandwich 2x and I have her constantly eating hot dogs. Chris had been busy hula hooping (first for toys and now for nails)so I can’t send him to make sandwiches. Brian has been alternating between scooting and getting inspired. No plutonium and no maracas. Mort has only dropped jewels 1x. All the stuff I need for Stewie will not drop. I cannot unlock Stewie at all.

Hmmm, they continue to drop in my town. Send an in game message to TinyCo and ask if the new event has effected the drop rate percentages.

OMG OMG omg OMG OMG!!!! I – AM – IN – HEAVEN!!!!! I’m a little worried that I have a ways to go to unlock Stewie still – But, other than that I’m absolutely LOVING this update! I already unlocked the three buildings, got my rocket, gave another 1,000 blam to Patrick Stewart and have about half of each item to get to finish unlocking him. They totally did the right thing by having Patrick as the first new character to unlock! I can’t wait to see his tasks! I’m holding off on spending clams on anymore new items for now. (I’m saving them for new characters) I did, however, pick up the hardware joint and chutes and lads for 25 a piece. (They’re still a good deal for 50 IMO)

If you completely unlock them they’ll stay in your town, but you have to completely unlock them.

I wish TinyCo had planned better to not have this even so soon after the Stewie/Carter release. I know it coincides with SDCC, but then, TC should have taken more care to spread the item earning tasks among more characters. I can’t earn anything I still need for Stewie or Banana Brian (mostly) because most of those characters are earning things for Patrick Stewart or Captain Hammered. Meanwhile, I have a bunch of characters – Joe, Meg, Cleveland, Seamus, Connie, Tricia – not earning anything. Lois is only earning plutonium. 😒
Also, TinyCo should reward players who have purchased premium characters (Consuela, Brain Damaged Horse, etc.) by having them also drop items. At least have everyone drop Blam! – it’s not like the character task drop rate is particularly high. This game is getting frustrating past the point of fun.

Share your thoughts with TinyCo through the in game “contact us” feature. Constructive criticism never hurts, and could improve the game. The more players that voice a common opinion, the quicker changes come. 😉

Agreed on all points! I’d be fine with events overlapping with trying to unlock characters if everyone at least dropped something besides money.

I completely agree with you Sarah! Its frustrating because some characters have too many item dropping tasks for both comiccon and District 8, yet characters such as Connie, Carter and Tricia have proven to be completely useless throughout the entire game so far because they haven’t had any item dropping tasks AND they don’t earn event currency. What the hell??

Any thoughts on what my priorities should be? All I need to unlock Carter are several sugar packets, which only Pirate Peter and Chris have tasks for. However those are also the only two characters who can earn the stuff I need for Peter’s superhero costume. Does Carter earn any Blam? Or would Peter earn me more Blam once he gets his costume? I don’t buy clams so I have to do everything the slow and stingy way!
I’ll have enough Blam to get the buildings all repaired and earn the shuttle, so that’s good. I just need a few more pizza slices to unlock Patrick Stewart, and Bonnie is twerking her little butt off working on those, although she’s slowed up by spitting out the occasional jewels for Stewie. Still have quite a ways to go on him. Does he earn Blam also?

Pick shorter timed tasks…they produce the most in the long run. If your watching TV or able to keep the game open, make Peter do the bird for a minute…over and over. 60 Blam an hour plus the other characters on 1 hour tasks add that to the nerds you blast and it can add up pretty quickly.

Do you know what the appearance / release rate is for the Gold shirt, Red shirt and less importantly Blue shirt Nerds?
Also getting the plutonium is proving very frustrating, I’ve had Lois and Brian doing nothing but this and although I have 6 they’ve not dropped one since the start of the comic con event?

I really lucked into this one. I had the Clamterprise and Q finished and had the Convention Center on a build overnight. Got up this morning and just had to click on the check mark for the shuttle.

Awesome, I had everything but the CC also, needed just over 400 Blam to reach 1000. Got it a few hours ago and started the repair. T-minus 13 hrs 52min 37 sec ’till shuttle liftoff. 😉

I play FGQFS on my iPhone and an android tablet. I updated the game on my phone at work so I could play on my breaks. When I got home my tablet (Motorola Xoom) was already updated so I’ve been playing FG on Android the whole time. 🙂

I have to admit, I am incredibly disappointed in the way Tinyco has handled this. Some of us were already frustrated by the IOS exclusive items, and this just adds to it. I Really need to start reevaluating my commitment to this game.

As I started the conference centre I was way down on blams but had everything else for superhero Peter. Now I don’t buy clams so am really tight with the ones I get out the game, but it only cost 8 clams to finish Peter instead of 500 blams, think that’s pretty cheap really??

Hey i was a bit pissed at the whole apple,android thing but now im over it. I figure i can prepare my quahog for whats coming making space and saving money. Unlocked stewie yesterday! Oossshhhh! Hopefully the event will be more organised by next week and they sort out all the bugs and drop rates. Those clam prices are mental..MENTAL! 700 clams for one tiny item! I know they have to make money but come on!

That we are not sure about, it might run as a weekend event starting next Friday, just like this iOS event is running. Or, maybe the gift you get IS the shuttle. We are in the dark right now about the combining of the platforms on Thursday. But as usual, we will post every fact as it becomes available. 🙂

It’s not one tiny item though. You are purchasing 750 blam per day for a month 1/2.
That’s like saying ‘I paid 60 bucks for some plastic and a disc’ when in reality you purchased a ps3 game.

I feel it’s a bit over priced too. I look at “currency” producing items not just for how much they help during an event, but also how it would fit into my town once the event has ended and I’m left with the object. I’m on the fence on this one. The trucks just look cool to me. 😉

I have a question about a previous quest.
My town has been overrun by Wizards for two weeks and I have to complete Freaks and Geeks Quest Part Six so I can get rid of them, I already unlocked the Lois that I need, but I don’t know what to do to start the quest.
What do I need, a building, a character, something that hasn’t been unlocked in the game yet?
the game doesn’t say how to complete the quest or what I need to unlock it, it just keeps showing me the same window when I click on a wizard saying I need to unlock part six

You can’t “tap” to remove them until you complete parts 4 and 5. Have you unlocked Stewie yet? He is needed to unlock part 4 and continue the quest line.

I was hoping it wasn’t Stewie related, I’m still working on him, I’m one Bananna away from Brian Bananna and 2 Plutonium and 22 battle plans away from Stewie.
Also I wouldn’t have bought the Super truck yesterday for 400 clams I had to buy if I knew they would release the Sommelier Station today, I know it’s a lot of clams but I had enough to get it yesterday if I knew it would be out today, I would rather have gotten that instead.

Yeah, unlock Stewie and those geeks will be gone in no time. I agree about the truck. I didn’t buy it because I had a feeling something more was coming (I’m starting to understand how TinyCo operates their events now..lol). I buy buildings that help out early only if they look cool and I’d get them anyway. Then I hold off a bit, to see just how hard it is to collect the “currency” du jour. Then I buy the specialty items to help cover the gap….the daily amount needed. 🙂

I’m a bit annoyed as spent most of my clams on the blam super truck and as soon as if did this they add the sommelier station and now I can’t get it without spending £35 and obviously this would have been the better option.
Still love the game and already have the space shuttle, but getting frustrated at not having completed Stewie.

Becareful with the Blam you collect. You must “spend” a 1000 blam to unlock Patrick Stewart. I thought when I got to a 1000 it would “unlock” PS. Nope. Now all my blam is gone and I am never going to have enough time to build it up to get the free space shuttle. I am very disappointed right now. no Rupert and No Rocket. 😦

I agree with most of you, too much clams to get prices on time. In the last event i got less than half of the butts of the max price playing 3-4 times daily.

I already repaired clamterprise and Q, only left convention center. I was asking if i need to finish the building of the shuttle before the times runs out or just the three event building, because i think i’ll be in the middle of the shuttle building time when this mini event ends

Oh..I see now…The shuttle doesn’t have a build time, it’s placed into your inventory once all three structures are repaired. You can place it into your town whenever you like. You just have to complete the builds before Monday, then it’s yours to keep.

No Thor u don’t repair the shuttle at all (should b added to your inventory) u only got to repair the 3 buildings the clamterprise 4 hrs the q hotel 8 hrs and the convention center 16 hrs which adds up to 28 hrs total n I’m sure most ppl already two out of the 3 or at least one building made so it shouldn’t b so hard to get this my question is would this b coming to android as well I don’t have a iphone mines to old to work it ain’t even turn in on lol

If you mean the gift rocket, I think its a decoration that doesnt need building. But even if it does I’m sure it wont get taken away
If you mean the other rocket thats been there from the start (that looks like the enterprise) yes you have to finish building it within the timelimit. 🙂

I’m not sure where I’m going to put a rocket, but I like to see mini events inside big events. Stops it from getting boring and repetitive when you constantly have new (and plenty) things to aim for.
its like when I first started the game all over again, so much to do! have 3 characters to unlock, 3 costumes, blam to collect, plenty of buildings to build, ground to buy etc and I’m loving it lol. My favourite parts of games like this is the planning and then unlocking something you’ve worked/tapped ‘hard’ for.
I do wish they’d allow us to get the Clamterprise somehow. As a Star Trek fan that was actually my favourite new building, ah well Jean Luc Picard will do!

Haha, its true they really do. Not only the writers themselves (who do a really good job) but in the comments too. They’re full of good hints and tips, whether its to fix glitches or getting characters/items quicker.
Or they are full of complaints lol, but its a good place to air them because people will help you.

Hey just so you know, android players can start the event if you own an ios device now! You just have to update to the latest version and start the event on your ios, switch to your android and the event will be live.

I thought they “fixed” that “glitch?” Saw people saying they were locked out. I thought about trying this, but was worried that if Android players do get extra time, having first logged in w an iOs would make it end earlier? Idk.
For now, I’m waiting it out. Anxiously? Yes! But waiting.

The 25 clam reward is for completing Peter’s Costume Box #1. You need Spanish Soap Peter, which currently isn’t it the game.

I currently play quest for stuff on my iphone and I’m a huge completionist. So when the update finally hits for android users and they get their “surprise” will I be able to get it by synching my account through an android device? And then once I’m done just go back to my iphone ?!!?

We read everything…and reply to every question we can….we are also nuts…(but I’m off topic..lol). Don’t know what the “special” something is or if you can do the old “switch-a-roo” to load it into your iOS device (like “Golden Peter” into ‘droid devices). Just have to wait and see. 😉

I’m not sure if Android ever had the option to purchase a gold pool, but as a completionist I’ve discovered that although you can’t have Golden Pete, his gold pool still carries over.
A little nod to the fact that I play mainly on my Android, but I’ve unlocked Gold Pete.

Need some advice. Kind of off topic but it has relevance to my situation. I have to put my phone in repair on Monday. This will take 4 to 6 days to get fixed. I am told I will be given a loaner phone to the same standard ( iPhone 5). I need to know if I can continue to play this game on another phone in the meantime and progress through the comic con. If so do I just log into Facebook on the loan phone and my game will carry over? Don’t mean to sound stupid but I will not put my phone in repair if I can’t play quest for stuff for nearly a week. I’m a true addict and that is too long to miss out on stuff. :).

If you linked your game to an email or Facebook account, you should be fine because all progress is stored in the site servers. Download the game onto the loaner, then read this post. 😉

I have a slight problem.
Awhile back ago when TQFS came out. I synced it using Facebook. I deactivated my fB account so I decided to start over and use an email address to play TQFS. I’ve been wanting to switch back and sync to my fB account instead.
Okay here’s my dillemma; when I go to fB connect via TQFS it tells me I already have a game save. If I load it it will over ride this one that I am currently playing (which I am A LOT father on).
I went into fB on my computer and deleted TQFS and it’s data. I figured problem solved right? Wrong. It still says my fB is linked to another TQFS account.
How can I make it so that I can login using fB on my newest game save?

You need to contact TinyCo. Only they can unlink your game. Explain everything to them. Use the in game “contact us” feature in the help section of the main menu. 🙂

I was down to buy the super truck for 400 clams… But 700 for the bar?? WAY to expensive for my blood. I’m liking this event so far. One hour left and I’ll get the rocket ship. SO stoked I decided to spend all my available Blam! on those buildings!

I’m speechless.
And not in a good way.
I’ve still got to collect 7 Blueprints, 3 Plutoniums and 3 Banana Peels to collect before unlocking Stewie and there’s already a “Freaks and Geeks Pt. 4” quest popping up requiring him.
And don’t even get me started on staging a weekend event while a big part of the user base is not yet able to play it.
Extremely poor execution. This company and game are not worth my money.

The beauty of a free game like this is that each person determines for themselves if it’s worth spending money. Not worth YOUR money? No prob, they will push on without your contribution.
End of the day, NONE OF THIS DIGITAL STUFF HAS ANY REAL VALUE. That goes for ANY and ALL games in this genre.

So, you say that making an event specific quest part dependent on a extremely difficult to unlock character is beyond their control? Holding a special weekent event in just the week that half of the user base is not able to participate is beyond their control?

Sooooo. Android users can log on to an apple device, start the event them at on their android right? Does that mean apple users can log on to an android device next week, get what ever is exclusive then take it to their ape device? Just curious. I see a lot of frustrated android users on here and I really can relate and feel for you. Just remember tho apple users have been on this position as well, having to wait for certain updates after android. I know apple got the gold suit peter, but I don’t think that was a consolation for having to wait for an update right? Like I said I feel for android users right now. If the shoe wason the other foot I’d be LIVID! I just don’t believe giving any platform any kind of advantage or exclusive over another. Apple over android or android over apple. It makes us feel segregated as us against them, they’re getting something we are not, us getting seething they don’t etc. I don’t care for that feeling even if I’m currently on the “winning” end at the moment. Even on this site, which I love and visit daily, there is a since of divide if not unrest with everyone being upset and taking sides and team android and applehating, it makes me feel like it’s separating us to and us against them and that blows. This is my safe place I feel, to come to for advise and strategy and to chill my brain out when I get stressed at the game with fellow players. I wish it had all been released together even if that means everyone waiting til the 31st. At least then we wouldn’t feel divided and like some one playing the same game isn’t getting something I’m not or you’re not or someone’s getting an advantage over anyone else.
All done. Just my thoughts and every one is welcome to theirs as well. I just hope every one can remember the purpose of the game and this site. Have fun and enjoy it for what it is.

We love your, “just my thoughts”…lol I agree that this is creating a little tension between the two platforms. As gamers, our focus should be the communal “us” versus the game. This is one of those times that it’s not the approval process timing delay, but the mini war between to device mega companies. Each forcing smaller gaming houses (with potential hit games) to sign release contracts guaranteeing certain “exclusive” items and early update release times. Hopefully in a week, we can once again just be players helping players and return to “us versus the game”. And those are just my thoughts…lol 😉

I like your thoughts! Haha. I just hate the divide and I don’t like anyone getting exclusives or privileges over another even if it’s me. I love the community feel on this site and like u said ” us against the game”. I don’t wanna be defined as an apple user Or a premium/freemium player, just a fellow gamer. I understand the bitterness about the later time for android I’d be the same way I’d just like to think I wouldn’t make it a war against others who chose a diffrent device. Hell I will even stop playing for a week if it makes any one feel better about it! Hahah

Already started the third building (Convention Center) before that quest popped up, so I’m good. What I found hard to swallow, though, is 700 clams for one…well, it’s not even a building… I am ok with spending money on the game, I bought the two 25 clam-buildings, but this is getting really outrageous.
Compared to this, TSTO prices are cheap, I usually get along with a boatload of donuts a year. In this game, you can easily spend a comparable amount of clams on the first days of an event. And whereas you can get everything out of almost any event in TSTO without spending money, in TQFS it seems impossible.
So far, I do enjoy the event, but I don’t see how I can get to 100000 Blam in 46 days. Just now, I am making about a 1000 a day. I am sure they have another mini-event for the last days, like the shot game, to get even more clams out of desperate players. I might even be among them… *sigh*
