The Giant Stripper in the Room…

Hello There Clammers!

Here we are in the final week of a long and grinding Comic Con Event.  Every week for 7 weeks there has been something new introduced into the game, some good and some meh…but we’ve been grinding it out together for the last 7 weeks.

And now we’re in the home stretch…when those of us who have all of the prizes and almost all of the costumes are starting to think we can slow down a bit.  After all, bombing minions and collecting harpoons is REALLY starting to feel like a grind.  BUT TinyCo doesn’t want us to slow down….no they like when we’re constantly in our games checking every couple of hours.  I get it.  It’s what makes this game great.

So what does TinyCo do to get us grinding out these last few days?  With less than 6 days left in the event they release Stripper Bonnie (a costume MANY of you have been requesting for a while now).  Cool right?   Wrong!

With a Comic-Con Event that has been AMAZING…this, in the final days, is an EPIC fail on the part of TinyCo….

First, let me say (as many of you already know) Bunny and I ADORE TinyCo and the staff that works there.  It’s a fantastic company and they really love what they do.  They want to make this the best game they possibly can….and are ALWAYS up to listening to player feedback (in particular the feedback from this blog).  For every poll we do, we send TinyCo the results…and they almost always tweak something in the game based on YOUR feedback.  That’s AWESOME.

Because we have such respect for them we’ve been able to easily defend them in a lot of cases.  While we agree with player reaction to a lot of things, we can see the other side of the situation and often times get what’s going on.  We always relay your feedback to them, but we get it.  We can defend them.  We can understand what it is they’re doing, and why they’re doing it.

But this….I can’t defend this.

It’s bad enough that they release a character with Rare and Extra Rare items  with less than 6 days left to go…BUT to put the item collection AFTER a 58 hour questline is just wrong.  That leaves many players with only 3 days to collect 20 Rare items and 5 Extra Rare items (I know there’s common in there but they should fall fairly easily).

THREE DAYS?!  Are you kidding me?  It’s been a week since Rollocop hit the game and I’m STILL not done collecting everything for him (and he also only needed 5 Extra Rare items) and you expect me to get everything for Bonnie in THREE DAYS?!  Especially when all of the tasks are 4, 6 and 8hrs long?!  Seriously?

Not a fan of this AT ALL.  If TinyCo wanted people to spend Clams on Stripper Bonnie they should have just made it a Premium Costume.  I gladly would have shelled out clams for her…if they were being honest up front and saying “Hey spend Clams on her if you want her!”  Although…I WON’T pay the 650 clams it would cost the rush build her this way.  (especially after already spending $150+ in my personal game just for THIS EVENT and having less than 500 clams of it left)

I know many of you agree with me on this.  You have no issues grinding it out to get stuff BUT you take exception when you have THREE DAYS to do it!

So, because we’re not just those who like to attack and run away…let’s give some constructive criticism to TinyCo about what they can do to make this situation better….here are my ideas:

-Switch Stripper Bonnie to a Premium Costume, costing no more than 150 clams (it is a skin after all)…or bundle her with the new Stripper pole for 170 Clams, and let it be an instant create.

-Open her costume up in Al Harrington’s NOW so we can start earning the STUFF needed to collect her BEFORE we complete the 58hr questline.  That way we have more than 3 days to earn everything.

-Change the drop rates on the items so the rare items are Uncommon and the Extra Rare is Rare.  That should make it slightly easier to earn everything you need in the allotted time.

-Make it so Stripper Bonnie is NOT tied with Comic-Con.  Allow players unlimited time to unlock her. Afterall, what does Stripper Bonnie have to do with Comic-Con anyway?  She’s actually a highly requested costume, and by making her limited-time you just alienate a bunch of newer players…and we’ll have a Cleveland situation all over again.

I think any one of those four options are fair.  Many players, myself included, are MORE than willing to grind it out and earn the costume (or spend a reasonable amount of Clams on it)…BUT feel it’s extremely difficult to do so with the allotted time.  Any of those four options are fair to both players AND TinyCo.

And let’s try not to have short term memories here.  Let’s remember all the AMAZING things TinyCo has done during this event….

-Actual Celebrities, VOICED, in our games!  (many for free)
– Made it A LOT easier to earn ALL of the Blam! Required to unlock all of the prizes (and many of us are sitting at or near 200,000 Blam! Already)
-Countless freemium buildings costing Blam! Currency
-Blam! Boxes where you can get FREE Clams!
-All the Free Clams they’ve given us during this event!
-Really awesome character animations
– And most importantly they kept us all engaged.  Each and every week they introduced NEW and exciting content, that had many of us clamoring for Thursday night to see what would be coming and what they had in store for us.  And in MANY cases they not only updated Thursday BUT updated Friday as well.  That is the mark of a great game!

This in my opinion is the FIRST major fail of this update…and hopefully TinyCo will continue to be the awesome company they are and do something about it!

Now it’s YOUR turn!  What are some suggestions you might have for TinyCo to correct the Stripper Bonnie situation?  What are some of your highlights from this update?  Did you initially think you wouldn’t make it to 100,000 Blam! and are now sitting at WAY more?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. Thank you for posting this. I don’t watch Family Guy so I am really unfamiliar with the characters. I only started to play the game after it was mentioned on The Simpsons Tapped out forums. I was really involved in the event and even though clams are expensive, I was going to buy some. This move by Tinyco has made me reconsider my decision.

Although the rest of the event has been good, it is ending on a sour note and that is hard to ignore. I do like to grind in the games for the challenge but I like to spend money on cool stuff not on getting character unlocks. Using clams to speed the game up feels like cheating to me and it takes away the challenge. I won’t be using claims to speed things up. I won’t be buying any clams to get the rest of the celebs because that was something I had planned on doing towards the end of the event. I really thought Tinyco had improved beyond the King Butt event and the other money grabs they have had but I guess not.

There are a lot of people out there like myself who would drop actual money on cool stuff rather than use it to take the challenge away from the game.

  2. I can accept that the LONG lag time serves as a placeholder until Thurs. I can accept that it’s a premium costume in disguise, though it’s meant to deceive. People who are hacking are proudly displaying her and it also drives those who’s willing to pay good money to ensure she makes it into their town. I don’t find that fair, but should that be the reality going forward?

It grinds my gears when she is going to be sent back-to-back grocery shopping (12hrs each!), essentially setting her up for a 24hr task. What’s with characters being sent off 1day lately?! (That’s my WTH)

But I don’t like this direction they’re headed, toying with us and then have to appease us just to see how far they can take their antics.

I hope they adopt at least one of your suggestions or those mentioned in the comments. You all have really good ideas! It really shouldn’t have been tied to the event, and if it did… at least make it so that our completion of the first 7 tasks enables her to stay in our QHs (like Stewie, worked darn hard on those harpoons). It’s crazy to go through 2.5days (if you’re diligent), just to have her disappear b/c of items set at crazy rareties. Lower them or something, Pee Pants was still a challenge to get for most people and those were “short” tasks!

I did complete Joe over the weekend, but c’mon, most people have jobs… and those are the paying customers you want to retain! The best way to keep customers happy is not to have chaos or ragequit.

  3. Just change the drop rates. I don’t want to spend clams!

  4. I spent clams to speed up part one of the quest line, hoping it would start the unlock/collecting process. (This was before the guide was up) Now that I see it doesn’t start until part 7, I wish I saved my clams! I give up on Stripper Bonnie!

  5. I agree with options 2-4. Option 1 would be a problem for anyone who already used clams to rush bonnie’s tasks–then theyd still have to pay 150-170 more on top of that? Or would they get a refund? Too problematic. The other options are far more doable.
Maybe they could also have some buildings and premium characters drop items as well (rupert needs to do something for all the trouble to get him).
I’m not averse to spending clams; i have 120 and can probably get more with my 42000 leftover blam and the blam box, but worry about the problem above, and id rather buy a dr manhattan costume for rupert if it comes out. Also still hoping we will see another blam box offering robostewie statue and some other items (but please no more bombs or batteries!!!!) before the event ends.

  6. The comic con event was better than I expected. I worried about getting to 100,000 to get George and now I’m over 300,000 and I “only” spend clams on a truck and the sommelier (plus some speeding up of tasks). I wasn’t sure about buying Nathan but I’m glad I did (it’s not just the “gals” who enjoy Nathan 😀). Bryan was just too pricey for me though.

I worried about bombs and batteries and due to the Blam box I have more than I know what to do with.

Thanks go to the people who run this site and who post for the ideas on strategies. I love my little minion Stewie maze and it was great using Bluestack to activate Rollocop for my iPhone.

Of the suggestions you’ve made I think the best is to move stripper Bonnie outside of comic con. The stripper skin isn’t a superhero by any stretch of the imagination. As it is, given that we have robo Brian statues, you would think that a Brian costume would have dropped instead. Let’s hope they aren’t planning on dropping a Brian costume tomorrow night.

Thanks again for all of your work here. For me, this site really adds to my enjoyment of the game.

  7. I agree with your points Alissa. I’ve always been annoyed at how part of TinyCo’s business model has been to frustrate/pressure players into buying clams to ensure they get needed items for time-limited characters/skins when they should instead just make them straight-up premium purchases instead. And since Stripper Bonnie isn’t even ComiCon related, it almost seems like she was intended for the normal game but then TinyCo rushed-released her into the event instead when they realized that they could make more money from people scrambling to buy clams to unlock her before she disappears, than if she were just released as a main-game level update that people could take their time getting.

  8. Couldn’t agree more. Could be a double solution if they did something like a blam! box with Bonnie’s drops, since everyone wants something to do with their extra blam! Along with your suggestions of course because not everyone has extra.

  9. Great post Alissa! I agree wholeheartedly. If TinyCo makes it where as long as you get to part 7 where you can start collecting stuff for her before the event ends, then be able to continue collecting stuff to unlock the outfit even when the event is over, that would be more reasonable on TinyCo’s part. Or if TinyCo decides to extend the event for another week, then that would make it possible to unlock her outfit without scrambling on our part to get her stuff in an already fun but exhausting event. I really need a break when this event is over and I just got back from a two-week vacation (where I still had to play the game minimally so as not to miss the vehicle challenge in the game). 😀

  11. First off let me say I love this event it’s been gud through out the whole event but like everyone else I agree to release the outfit at the end of this event like this was really unfair I rather pay with clams or get it another way I have played this game since day one n spent a lot of money on it as well n still spending money with every check I make I’ve been buying everything they have to offer since day one n have mostly everything all the outfits all the buildings but til I got to this event it was just to much 3 outfits in the last week seriously? Then at that so many buildings I didn’t get to buy why u may ask? Spending all my clams still trying to get the clamterprise is it worth it? Maybe if u needed a 100 bombs and many more batteries n still no clamterprise but hey what can I say I love tiny co n this game they work really hard putting everything together for us n I’m sure they will continue to do so but I would hope they don’t make our last week this crucial so thx again for all the hard work y’all have done n making this game as fun as y’all have

  12. Agree with the comments above regarding Stripper Bonnie – she isn’t part of Comic Con so why only give us that time to unlock her??
Admittedly I have done really well with this even, unlocking George Takei last week even as a Free player I was very happy so I guess I can’t have everything!!
On the subject of having everything, has anyone else had an issue with the weekly vehicle challenges? I have completed all 5 challenges however I never received the Nailgunner car, and so I can’t have the Jet. After leaving TinyCo not one but two messages I still haven’t got it… don’t think I’m getting this jet with only 5 days to go 😦

  13. Are we thinking that it’s safe to burn up harpoons now or should I wait until Friday and see? I’ve been saving them and ignoring Demon Stewie since getting Iron Baby thinking they may add another task that would require eliminating Demon a bunch again.

    • Lol…no idea. No one is safe with surprises round every corner. 😉

  14. First time I commented on your blog, despite reading for a long time now, but I feel very strongly about the unfairness of this addtion. I’m a freemium player, but have shelled out a couple of times for this event because I really wanted Nathan Fillion and to get enough blam for George Takai. I work quite hard to collect things as a freemium player, but I also have a full time job to do, so expecting any of us to get the stripper Bonnie in the short amount of time left is completely unreasonable (especially after the Stewie unlock)! I’d be more than happy for the collection to continue after the Comic Con event is over. I’d much rather that than a change to premium. As a hoarder (aren’t we all in this game), I really want the skin!!

  15. I have loved the Comic-Con event, but you are right, this is ridiculous. I already spent 45 clams getting Bonnie to end her 12h tasks in part 1 of this, thinking that this would trigger the costume, only to fine ANOTHER 12h that I just did, and now an 8h that involves Joe (who, in my game, is currently on another task for 3 more hours). Now I find that even after THAT, I have another, what, 12h to go??? I feel extremely cheated out of my hard-earned clams.

Every one of your solutions you mentioned above would work for everyone, in fact I had also thought about a few of those. Hopefully they will do one of these, but this doesnt replace my lost clams either. 😦

  18. Great post! I have really enjoyed this event. I love that it keeps updating and changing but this one is just silly. Maybe if costume was unlocked now and could start earning stuff it wouldn’t be so bad. Plus if items were available from bombing Stewie or nerds like all the others that might help get it within the time left.

  19. They have earned enough cred with me over the course of this event that I’m willing to not assume the worst for the costume. There is still 5+ days, and they have been doing Blam and/or Clam boxes as the event has gone on; they *just* added more characters to get Rollocop’s wheels because they acknowledged Bonnie was going to be busy. Therefore, I’m holding my frustration until I see whether or not any of these ideas (costume pieces out of Blam! Boxes, etc) come to fruition. Yes, I Clam-rushed her first 12 hour job; something I really avoid doing, but beyond that I’m going to push forward as normal and see what happens.

  20. However, where the other costumes say limited time only in Al Harringtons, Bonnie’s costume does not. Does this mean that we can still get the costume after the event?

    Like

    • Bonnie doesn’t hit Al Harrington’s until after you complete the full questline. The popup in the game announcing Stripper Bonnie says it’s limited-time. TinyCo has also indicated to us it will leave with the event.

  21. Because there’s already an active quest line for the costume, I think switching it to a premium wouldn’t work but I do think that collecting stuff for her costume should be available like in pt 2 of her quest line instead of being way down the line or disassociate the costume with the event all together. Those are the two best options I see.

  22. Great article. I agree that this last minute addition wasn’t well planned. I thought leaving Rollocop to the end was a nuisance, but this is ridiculous. They truly do need to make this unlimited, or allow players an extra week or two to grind for this costume. Hopefully TinyCo will hear the input from the community and work on this issue.

  23. I agree with a combination of 2, 3, and 4. I do not, however, want this to be yet another clam-only purchase. Blam, maybe, but no more clam. We all have plenty of excess from this event- let us use it on something. But I’d rather this was: a) stop with all the Extra Rare drops. enough already- I want to be able to change up what my characters can do and enjoy them. b) Add her to Al’s now so we can get started on collecting, and c) let us continue to collect after the event as long as we complete her quest.
I don’t mind taking my time to unlock someone as long as I have that time to do it. After the King Butt event, I was looking forward to sitting back, relaxing, and letting my Stewie unlock play out at a nice, leisurely pace. Then the next event started up and it became a necessity to plow through it again. The time limits take a lot of the fun out of it and make it a chore for us addicts.
And give more than 5 characters something to do. I don’t think anyone will complain if there are the same 5 characters (for new players), but with options to use the other characters we’ve unlocked to speed up the collection (for loyal players). It gives us incentive to unlock characters. If a clam-only character has tasks along with the standard ones, I have the choice of spending clams, or just accepting that it will take longer. But I’ve seen it said too many times: what’s the point of unlocking characters? They don’t give you any added functionality. If we were lucky or rich enough to unlock King Butt last round, let us reap the rewards by having some additional task options. What’s the harm? It sucks that Bryan Cranston will be just another useless character taking up space once this particular event is over. Along with the other 20-some characters we have. I see Consuela has a task for Bonnie. That’s AWESOME! I don’t have Consuela. I could, but I don’t have to because there are other options. And I like that.
Enough ranting- I have LOVED this event overall. Every time there’s been a frustration, TinyCo has listened and provided options. I expect they’ll do the same here, so I’m not going to get too worried about it- yet. But hopefully these are ideas that will be used going forward to make it even more enjoyable.

    • Thanks, 35Ryno35, this is almost exactly what I was going to post! (Differences being: I wasn’t around for King Butt and I do have Consuela.) I also second what others said about nerds/buildings dropping items for Stripper Bonnie (plus what Brian’s Song said about no more batteries/bombs should they release another Blam! box). I think I’ve spent $80-$100 on clams since I started playing 2 months ago, and I’m willing to continue spending so long as I don’t feel forced or suckered. I have also been very pleasantly surprised/impressed by TinyCo thus far, so I am optimistic they’ll rethink this.

P.S. I also really appreciate not needing Stewie unlocked for anything, even Iron Baby!

  25. I agree with all the concerns about the time limit put on this skin. I also have really enjoyed this event. Playing devil’s advocate here…is it possible they put a limit on it because of the more adult nature of the skin and its animations? Sort of a way to limit the amount of games it would show up in? I forget what the rating was on this game….so my point may be entirely off base.

  26. I agree with the majority the best thing would be to not have her tied to the event. I played from day one and stoped right before the Moon event, and right after the Pee Pants Peter situation. I was off of work and decided to load up the game and had no idea that there was even a comic con event going on. I was already behind being on andriod and late to the event but I, like many others, have been able to unlock just about everything.

This has been a great event and Tiny Co has done a great job, but this well its Pee Pants Peter all over again for me. I am not leaving but I am also not optimistic about getting it.

    Ok Rant over….
Suggestions: Make it not a part of the event.
Have different characters or buildings drop items as well.
(SM&M store I’m looking at you).
    Adjust the drop rates.

Basically everthing that has been said already.

    Thanks Alissa for the post.

  27. Very nicely written and I agree 100%. I have loved the event – never thought I would get to 100k – I even bought the cheap blam truck so I might reach robuttasaurus – now I’m over 250k blam (guess I won’t be so quick to shell out clams early in an event next time). I’ve already sent a plea for changes. It would be nice – if like stewie – if you start the quest line it will be available after the event ends.

      • You are at a point that getting blam easier should be easy. Even if you only play a few hours at night while watching tv you should be able to bomb enough stewie minions to get clise to 2k blam a night..Bomb once or twice and log off for a minute or two and when you go back on at least 3 blue shirt nerds should be walking out..one normally has a bomb (just try to get at least 6 Stewies a time..more the better) also if you bomb Stewie 5 times thats 7k a shot..let it reset for 24 hours while you collect more harpoons (unless you have 80 or more of a harpoon dont bomb it on 25..let it rest)..that will be at least 14-21 blam in the time remaining. If you relax on Saturday or Sunday you should get 4-5k from bombing nerds alone this and finishing missions or just keep anyone that produces blam going and realistically you should break 100k by Sat..if you go hardcore you could have it by Friday..if you are lax probably by Sunday..either way as long as you put some time in you should be fine

        Like

      • There’s an article about building a maze for the minion Stewies, you can easily bomb up to 30 of them every 20 minutes or so using that technique which gives you around 500 blam every time you log on. It really does work.

  29. I completely agree with everything you said, I’ve never complained about any time restrictions Tiny Co has put on unlocking content before, but this really is a joke, and your right that this outfit has nothing to do with Comic Con, all other superhero outfits have involved the character rolling in geek trash to give them super powers, and that action doesn’t show up anywhere in this questline. I think that Tiny Co should change things and make it that you have to get to Hostess with the Mostess Pt 7 before the end of the event, and then you can continue to collect items for the outfit even after Comic Con ends. I really hope that Tiny Co listens to us and changes something, otherwise it will end this awesome event on a low, they’ve listened to us in the past, such as extending the Tea Party event so we had a better chance of getting Rupert, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

In the end I will likely spend money on clams to finish what I can’t during the time limit, and the stripper pole to of course.

  31. As I read this I’m contemplating if I’m willing to pay for stripper Bonnie as I have used all my free clams trying to rush her missions. I just got the joe Suit last night and still have to get all his items on top of trying to finish Bonnie’s quest lines and collect items for her also. I have also spent $150 maybe more during this event and have a total blam amount of 310,000 sitting on 50,000 spendable blam. Right at this moment I’m willing to invest more money to buy rollocop. I guess I have a few days to decide if I’m going to pay to finish Bonnie or just let her skin go away with the end of this event. Very bad idea to release her so late. But overall I am very very pleased with this event I’ve gotten lots of free stuff as well as items I was willing to pay for can’t wait to redesign my town after the event is over.

  32. Completely agree with you. The event overall was great. Although I would not say that there were countless buildings available for Blam. Yes, there were quite a few, but most of them would cost clams.

I have unlocked everything that I wanted as a freemium player and I have saved over 600 clams. I decided not to buy the 2 premium Charatcers from this event. They are both great actors, but they really have nothing to do with FG. But to achieve this I had to log in several times a day, time my day sometimes to maximize the “Blam” earning. Luckily I am in between jobs and I had some free time, otherwise I would not be where I am now.

I would recommend to Tiny&Co to make the costume available even after the event. You are absolutely right, “Stripper Bonnie” has nothing to do with this current event…

  33. Thank you for that post it said what, i am sure, most people were thinking. I would agree with your assessment of the event, it was fun and well worth the money i spent on it. I too have gotten all the characters and prizes well actually still need 4 chips for joe but will have him by the end. The few instances i have had with support went well sometimes slow but that is understandable. The Bonnie situation though gave me pause. I seriously considered leaving the game after the event because it was such a slap in the face. I likely won’t, ill stick around and unlock the rest of the characters and city. But i will not likely spend anymore money and this is actually the only game like this i spent money on. The whole situation just feels underhanded almost like they brought in someone new to start making decisions.

You guys are great and I to have defended the money aspect as they are a business. I will just copy and paste your comment as i don’t think it could have been said much better. I will say i am more disappointed than mad. This really has lowered my view of TC.

You however have have been lifted to new heights in my eyes. 🙂

  34. Completely agree that the best solution is to make her a permanent addition to earn in our own time. Stripper Bonnie is Bonnie’s only really memorable alternative outfit/skin and nothing to do with the Comic Con event/superheroes. It should be something all of us can earn and all upcoming players can earn in their own time too.

I’ll be very disappointed if I don’t manage to get it and I don’t think we honestly could have her unlocked even if we could start earning the necessary items now. People are still having problems unlocking Joe and that was over a week ago!

  35. I think the simplest solution is to either get rid of it being limited time only or to allow you to continue going after her items as long as you are already at mission 7 by the time the event ends (sorta an iron baby concept). Pretty sure Tinyco was trying something new here with the full intention of it being a clam item but one that would be cheaper for those who worked towards it. I was also thinking that the new blam box (if one is coming) would also have items needed to unlock stripper Bonnie in it kinda like those energy duck thingies in the blam box last week. If they aren’t going to change the limited time thing it would be cool if they for the first time ever gave every character a task to go after her and a building for each item that could drop an item (ie the harder or longer you have been tapping the better the odds). Also they could finally let your friends towns drop items (hey only have 3 fb friends playing so trust me not saying this to only benefit me)

  38. They should at least give us another week to get this costume.

  39. I personally think stripper Bonnie shouldn’t be linked to the comic con event I mean it doesn’t even make sense.

Peter, Lois, Chris and quagmire have some significance to the comic con event well not some they r the heart of the comic con event they gave out pesticides, harpoons and bombs.

Stripper Bonnie just comes 1 weeke before the event is ending, it’s totally not fair, I have just managed to complete two tasks and I have one 12 hr task to go…

We shouldn’t spend clams on her either, although tiny co has given lot of clams in this event but it’s not fair, the event has been really good compared to the king butt event. Seriously

Oh well to cut it short, stripper Bonnie should be extended past comic con…

Tiny co I hope ur listening.

Thanks Alissa & bunny for being a medium to get our words across to Tiny co.

  40. I am really glad you made this post. I feel the same way.

I have no problem questing for stuff, if things fell in my lap, it would be a challenge. The issue comes with only have three days to do it. I am not sure I could do it with seven.

My preferred route would be to disconnect the skin from Comic-con and leave the requirements the same, it already does not require Blam!.

To TinyCo’s credit, they might have intentions to make it purchasable later or released in a few months. But we did say the same for Human Rupert.

I have two other options to suggest:
    1. Allow other characters or buildings to drop the items
    2. Put the items in a Blam! mystery box

  41. I’d definitely love to see Bonnie not tied to the comic con end date. It’s just way too much grinding.

  42. Just let her extend beyond comic con. Like if you are getting the stuff for her you can contuine to collect after the event. I mean the collecting should have been in part 1 or 2 not part 7.

  43. My first thought on Bonnie was it should have been set up where you had to complete the first 6 parts BEFORE comic con event ended, but once you completed part 6 then she would have stayed AFTER the event ended so you could collect the items needed and then fully unlock her. Should not have been where you had to complete all 6 parts AND fully unlock her before the event ends.

This way some people would have used clams (like I did, I used about 60 free clams I won in the Blam Box) to speed up tasks, while others might not have. But come Tuesday morning you would have had all the time you needed to unlock her items. That is what i thought they should have done.

  44. Another idea can be the possibility to gather items for costume after the event.
Also, they can make items gathering possible from first part of questline. I still need to vanish Demon Stewie 8 more times and I need lots of harpoons because the odds are not on my side, but the rest of character thet aren’t dropping harpoons can farm for Bonnie.

  45. I agree with you 100%. While this has been the best event by far, the late addition of this skin and having to complete the questline before you can collect all the items is a horrible idea on their part. The best option here would be to put her skin into al harringtons and let us keep working to earn her after the event has ended because like you said she has nothing to do with comic con.

  46. It’s not the short timespan that bugs me. It’s the relentless crashing that literally boots me out of the game seconds after I log in.

I’ve contacted TinyCo using the in-game contact feature but no word yet. This new costume has just made the situation worse..

    • The crashing is related the sheer MASSIVE amount of content with this update. It’s such a memory suck! Once the event leaves it should get a LOT bettter…

      • I hope so. I’ve tried removing some superfluous apps to free up memory space but it hasn’t made a difference.

It’s making it near impossible to complete any of the last set of quests.

  47. I was dubious about getting 100,000 Blam, and have 180K approximately now. TinyCo did a great job of making it easier to get Blam. Bombs and batteries I had trouble getting until thus past week with the Blam box; I even wound up with a giant Stewie-Where they failed for me is in not releasing Rollocop Joe to the Kindle (which is an Android device). I had to use BlueStacks which was a pain in the butt. I am also still waiting for a refund for the reactors I paid 5000 for and then they reduced the price Stripper Bonnie is another fail. You said it so well in the article, and I think any of the four options would be fair. Overall, it’s been a good event; much better than that stupid Clash of Clans garbage in TSTO.

  48. Very well said Alissa. My thoughts exactly. Anything they can do to make her available permanently would be my suggestion. I will get her but I think she should be available to everyone & be part of the main quest.

  49. AGREED! I have been playing constantly since day 1 and love the game, but this is OUTRAGEOUS! Her outfit has nothing to do with the comic event and should appear in Al Harrington’s, with unlimited time to unlock. Then the rare and super rare items may be achieved, over time.

I am a freemium player and TinyCo has been generous with clams, costumes, prizes, celebrity voices(!) and more. At times I have felt that I wouldn’t be able to get things, like 80’s Cleveland, George Takei or Iron Baby, but with faith, I proceed. Not only have I won all 3 characters/skins mentioned above, but so much more, including 190,000 Blam and counting.

However, “Stripper” Bonnie is NOT an achievable goal.

    Boooo 😦

  50. i agree with her not being tied to the comic-con event. It seems off the mark when the original stripper pole was in the game a long time ago. Case in point:not one, but two facespace statuses of her as a stripper weeks ago. This isn’t a super hero costume whatsoever.
