9-11-14 11PM EST UPDATE: iOS Update just hit, so iOS players please check to see if your game is now showing the District 9 items and those with issues of the force reload to update, check the app market to see if it is there for you now. Let us know. Google play also saw an update, but it may just be minor glitch fixes. Kindle users, check yours too and let us know if you see anything yet.
I am putting this info at the top for all to see (it’s throughout the post too). If you have iOS/Amazon you will NOT see the new stuff til your Update hits your market. Only Android had it hit.
If you play on cross devices and updated your Android device then tried to switch to iOS/Kindle, you will only see the “you must update” pop up. Again, you got to wait for your market to push the Update before you can see it. Crossing devices made it now impossible for the non updated one to be able to play.
For Android, Precious Metals quest must be done along with District 8 to trigger the Blimp quest and District 9.

From TinyCo Update: We are looking into fixing all of the “Placeables are out of bound” errors. We were incorrect when believe we had found the solution and are working on it!
UPDATE 420AM EST: I am seeing reports slowly coming in of players back up and running. So check your games, but remember…if EVERYONE tries to jump in at once the server will overload…so give it just a lil bit of time to resolve and hopefully all will be back to normal again.

You will see a ! over Meg to start the questline. In my game, it seems there are a few lil hiccups with this as Peter’s image was all scrambled. Cracked me up, that’s for sure.

8 Soap (Rare): Joe Give Self a Sponge Bath, Connie Get a Luxury Spa Treatment
5 Tattoo Machine (Extra Rare): Lois Show off Tramp Stamp, Dr. Hartman Prepare for an Exam, Meg Practice Bird Calls
(Or if you want to skip it all, it cost 600 Clams in my game to outright buy her.)

It also looks like District 9 is starting to launch. To let you know in advance, this will be released in stages. So you will NOT get all the info at once. They will release a lil part of it each week. The First part will be to build the Blimp and locate Tom Tucker. More info and explanation will come later on the Blimp. Users in iOS/Kindle may not see this part until they get the update to their market. We did notify TinyCo of update reload error with no update in market yet.
Stewie will have a ! over his head to kick of the start of District 9 and “Build-a-Blimp Part 1. It will only take 1 minute to do his first task of “Investigate Blimp Site”. He will go to the Lighthouse to do this. Once complete, you will see the Blimp Building site out in the water. Part 2 will be to start construction of the site and need to collect materials. To do this you will need the following items:
8 Blimp Frame (Uncommon): Lois Blast Apart Kegs, Stewie Dumpster Dive, Brian Dumpster Dive

Now for all of you already wondering, WHERE IS TOM TUCKER?
To unlock Tom Tucker, you will need to complete the “Build-a-Blimp” quests (Parts 1-7) and “What the Deuce Pt. 1.” This will unlock District 9. Once you’ve cleared enough land, you can rebuild Quahog 5 News to being unlocking Tom Tucker.
There is a patch of land at the top of your Quahog that is now there that needs to be cleared too. It is broken into 3 sections. $80,000 (1 day 12 hrs)/ $70,000 (1 day 10 hrs)/ $60,000 (1 day 6 hrs). I am seeing reports right now that this is triggering the error that I am still waiting word back on so be cautious until we get more updates on this. See top of post.
To also give you a lil heads up on what to expect, here are the items you will need to unlock Tom Tucker:
20 Microphones (Uncommon): Stewie, Chris, Brian
12 Action Slates (Rare): Brian, Quahog 5 News
10 Satellites (Extra Rare): Peter, Stewie, Channel 5 News Van, Tom Tucker’s Trailer
8 Mustache Creams (Extra Rare): Dr Hartman, Stewie

Stewie Billboard for Free? Woohoo! (Some may or may not see this.) As I stated, this did not show for all. I believe it was a temp glitch, but waiting for confirmation. For now, the billboard will most likely cost clams. You know that annoying glitch that completely shut down the game with the “Placeables Error”? Guess what caused it? THIS DID! So the “Free” was most definitely a glitch and caused mass chaos to players. It never should have been free at all. Only Clams.

Man I’m split do I concentrate on building blimps or creating jailhouse meg? I hope tinyco can give some tasks to drop items for Tricia and Jake seems like these two are only ever just in the way anymore.
On another note does anyone hope like I do that the blimp construction site stays it looks really cool and its not like my ocean is crowded hell I can’t even place an island in the damn thing lol.

Was the Freebie ‘Stewie Billboard’ a bug? I was able to get a bunch of them, free, but as soon as I did the 1.2 update, that billboard sign was no longer available for free – just for purchase. I got to keep the several free ones I had gotten (like I need a dozen signs?) but I cant get any more for free. I tried ‘selling them back’, they cant be sold.

Anyone else having issues with stripper Bonnie not showing during game play? I just unlocked her and when I use the outfit, she disappears off the map, but when I go back to the normal outfits she re-appears.

I love all the additions and events! The more they throw at me the better! I’m a completely freemium player. Never spent one real cent and pride myself on how awesome my quahog is! Although I will admit there are many times I’m tempted to pull out my credit card and get clams I pride myself in having an awesome free little city. Tinyco is great. I love tsto but this game has far surpassed as my fave! If anyone is interested in being my friend and checking out my quahog (especially those of you who run this amazing site) let me know !

When I try to load the game on Ios, it tells me “Please Upgrade. A new update is available! Please upgrade to the latest version to continue”… so I click the “Upgrade button” and it takes me to the App store and there is no update available. It simply asks me to open the App.. and it goes around in circles… I have removed the app, re-installed and re-linked to my facebook account and still the same…

Land clearing is so expensive now! Maybe people should be a little more descrete on how many coins they have instead of anouncing to tinyco all the hundreds of thousands burning a hole in their virtual pocket. Im super excited for district 9. I wonder what or who will be wandering around our towns for this district. I just hope i can get it mostly done b4 the halloween event so I dont have too much going on at once as halloween is a busy and favorite time of year for me with my bday and sisters bday being the same week. I was slutty cat last year (well my version anyway) In honor of one of my favorite meg moments.

If you build more Mini-Marts, will it drop more items? Or, is there only one ‘scorecard’ for all of the same-type buildings. I am thinking that it is possible that more mini-marts might not change a thing. Let us know what you have found

I apparently have a Ghost Stripper Bonnie. When she’s not doing a task, I can’t see her walking around. I can get to her with the locator, but that’s about it. When she’s actually DOING a task, she shows up. And I can see regular ‘ol Bonnie walking around. Anyone else?
Also, on Android my watchtower is just gears.

I can’t wait to finish District 8 so I can start working on all this cool stuff linked to District 9. I’ve put the Lookout Tower watching over my Celebrity Trailer Park area I’ve put together, it fits in perfectly. A quick question I have is, would it be worth it for me to buy the Bunchajunk Gift Shop to help with the Plutonium for Stewie, or is it better to try to earn them while I’m working on gaining all of his other items? I have 0/10 Plutonium, 1/30 Blueprints, and 13/30 Jewels at the moment, and have 275 Clams saved up so I could just about afford it.

Personally, I’m a little irked that they made the blimp plutonium different. If someone spends that much on a building, it should be able to come back into play at some point.
Sidebar: I said that about the building to my man, and he goes, no joke, “U mad, bro?” Ha! He never talks like that. But yeah, I mad, bro. 😉 lolz

Just checked my game an hour ago:
– I’m on iOS
– no app store update, but an ingame update
– District 9 is “visible”
– New land (3 patches) are available for the mentionded prizes
– Prison Meg is available for me, I already started collecting stuff
– “Build-a-Blimp” quests (Parts 1-7) and “What the Deuce Pt. 1.” are NOT! available for me yet. Maybe this is because I didn’t finish the “Precious Metal” Qquestline yet. (8 more hours to go for me)
– Lookout tower was available to buy, but it only shows these gears after placing it into my town
– Stewie’s Billboard is NOT! for free, it still costs 10 Clams
– No application errors for me this time.

Just finished bonnie’s outfit and thought i was going to be bored waiting on new stuff. WRONG! Prison meg outfit comes out (so glad to see this, as that was one of my favorite episodes). Then finished stewie’s precious metals then it pops for the blimp quest line. Awesome job tinyco. I also noticed in the buildings a prison waiting to be unlocked by a questline will that be after completing prison meg? Thanks FGA all of you rock!

My new policy on updates is when I see one coming, I leave it alone for at least 12 hours and let everyone else be the guinea pigs, since that is the way TinyCo tests this game. It saves a lot of aggravation and I highly recommend it 😉
