Hello There Clammers!
Never a dull moment…as we just got hit with new content for District 9. If you have Tom Tucker you’ll start up a new questline for him. Also, Stewie will start What the Deuce Pt. 3…requiring you to Build City Hall…to get Mayor West! (initially, and for as long as I can remember, they’ve said that Mayor West will be in City Hall…turns out he’s not. Looks like he won’t be released in this phase)
In this phase you’ll unlock…Vinny!
Currently working out the rest of the details now…more to come 🙂
Stewie will get things going for you and pick the the What the Deuce Questline..and his search for the missing Plutonium. This will pick up AFTER you’ve rebuilt the News Station, however you do not have to have Tom unlocked to progress further. Just have to have the News Station Built.
From here Stewie and Brian will continue What the Deuce and it’s through this questline that you’ll find Vinny. More walkthrough details to come later….
Once you unlock Tom he’ll start his own questline, but it’s independent of the main (What the Deuce) questline.

18 Cigars (Common) Earned By: Make Carter Smoke Money Cigars OR Get from Underdog’s Poker Room (Who Let The Dogs Out Part 4 & Build Abandoned Warehouse will unlock Brian to drop them.)
4 Guard’s Keys (Extra Rare) Earned By: Make Mort Jetpack to Safety OR Make Joe (and Quagmire) Play Mace Tag OR Make Stewie (and Brian) Do a Jaunty Dance
Casa di Vinny – Build Casa di Vinny for $5,000
Visit Old Friends– Make Meg Visit Old Friends (Requires Jailhouse Meg), 1hr.

When you find Vinny you’ll get a new quest timed challenge, Vinny’s Special Offer!

You do NOT have to do this timed special offer side quest if you don’t want to. Vinny will still keep collecting his items after the timer runs down.

Reading through everybody else’s comments, I assume that district 9 is supposed to be open, my tasks are to build watch towers (which is actually locked) and I’ve started what the deuce, but still no district 9, or does it come after doing some of what the deuce, because reading through comments implys that people have started that along with district 9. Help please 🙂

The game is meant to be played at your own pace..you’re not behind, that’s just where you’re at. There’s no time limited on districts so take your time….

Yeah, Trisha seems to slow everyone down. Those three eyes for Anime Peter were the worst. But like Bunny said take it at your own pace. TC is good at adding new content, but there are days when you are just going through the motions waiting for it when you are fully “caught up”.

I have the constant “exclamation mark” above Peter and won’t go away since I started the Tom Tucker quests. It is for the 3 day special Amazing Tom Tucker Deal to buy his son and the two buildings. Seems like I might be missing a quest since it originally popped up with Tom.

TinyCo is working on it, but you should still send in a support ticket so they know you’re impacted too.

Is anyone else getting this message as soon as the game pops up? I seem town in the back round. Stewie Asks me to turn on push notifications then I just get config empty for Id IAPgoal1 in goals. This is getting really annoying because then no matter what I touch it goes back to the start up screen and happens all over! Thank for the well wishes Alissa. Please someone help me figure out what’s wrong I need my fgtqfs fix!!! Ahhhhhhh

I have very few complaints about the game thus far. But I find it very annoying that I have every character unlocked so far, working on Tom Tucker now. Why is it that only 3 character tasks get all the stuff required to unlock someone? At the very least all the premium characters I’ve bought should have tasks that drop things. Am I alone on this?

The server connection issues I was having after the latest iOS update, now appear to have been resolved. In fact, it took less than an hour.

Yes, they’ll now unlock when you open D9. It’s a change TC made with the release of Phase 2 of D9 on Tuesday.

Wasn’t the Q Hotel supposed to keep spawning nerds after the ComiCon event ended? I haven’t seen a single one so far.
Also, does anyone else think it’s dumb to build a news van using a wood saw? You just can’t find good help these days…

TinyCo made a change before Comic-Con ended and the Q (And Nothing Suspicious here) no longer spawns anything. They’re just buildings that earn you coins now…

I doubt I’ll get a reply , but I’m an avid reader of your site Mrs Bunny and Alissa. You poor girls answer the same questions repeatedly with a ton of patience (especially during Comic-Con) so hats off to you both. The whining I read during that event was atrocious. It was acutually pretty easy to attain everything freemium. I had no complaints and fixed all the glitches myself IE reinstall without having to be told. Some people are just technologically challenged and ask you relentlessly the same things over and over. So I’m sorry for them and thank you.That being said knowing that you two angels relay our questions and concerns up to the people who listen. I didn’t really want to say anything but unlocking Tom Tucker seems kinda ridiculous. Only 4 of my 33 characters are involved in obtaining him two of which I need for the What the Deuce quest line. I love the challenge of the game it keeps me playing. But a waste of 29 characters is retarded. Im max 50 200k plus coins. They just walk around even main characters. I didn’t expect the ones from Comic-Con to be of any use after but Joe Lois Jerome etc… Also just a thought as characters gain level especially at max level shouldnt it give them a better chance of obtaining said item? Or what’s the point of leveling them? Thanx for reading love your site. Keep up the phenomenal job……

Just unlocked District 9! I have to say I’m pretty stoked about this district! Cant wait til death comes into the game! Could he possibly come in around Halloween?? Wi there be an Halloween event? Fingers crossed. Hoping so!

So I had a problem with my phone and since iOS 8 came out today I did two birds one stone and did a factory reset and update, then I was going through and redownloading all my apps just to find out that apparantly family guy the quest for stuff is not supported in the US App Store anymore so I can’t redownload the app that I have spent a decent amount of money on…..

Hey Addicts, I’ve run into an annoying bug in my game, and I’m wondering if I’m the only one. Back when the new Meg skin was released I bought a Lookout Tower decoration, and a few days later I went to buy another and realized that while I still have one in my town the item is locked in the store. I’m on Part 8 of the Prison Blues quest, and even after it requires me to have a Tower in Part 7, which was the one I had bought previously, the tower is still locked in the store.
Is this a bug, or am I only allowed one?

my game still has stewie stuck with an ! mark over his head for the plutonium cutscene even when i already have the blimp completed. it is preventing me from advancing the game! anyone else experiencing this?

Have you tried going into your task bar menu and seeing if the task is still there too and open it from there to see if it clears it out? Outside that…basic troubleshooting then contact TinyCo.

The task is gone from the task list. Ive tried force closing and ultimately re-installing the game but to no avail. What else does basic troubleshooting entail? Also, Ive contacted tinyco but no reply yet.

FYI I hadn’t unlocked meg or finished the blimp, but the blimp hanger was unlocked with this update. Of course I was already done with propellers so not much use unless there are more blimps to come.

Can you help me? I just updated to iOS 8 and an update for TQFS popped up so I hit update and it stopped halfway through. I then proceeded to delete the app (which I couldn’t access as it had stopped downloading) and install it again. However, when I type my account details (Facebook) to recover it the app doesn’t register my old game. I was at level 50 (max) and had over 300000 coins. I can contact TinyCo through the ingame menu because the App just crashes. Btw I’ve got a screenshot of my game with that long number at the bottom. What should I do?!

Hi to all the community :-). I’m afraid some gremlins appear to have got into my game as well. My game worked fine until I downloaded the latest update. The one that optimised the game for I Phone 6.
I’m not getting the ‘Shuffling Papers’ error, mine just seems to have a problem connecting to the servers. I get the pop up saying that. When it does load, the game is back to the beginning, but it also says I am logged into my Facebook than I had my game attached to. Just hoping my game hasn’t disappeared!
Only needed one more item for the blimp as well! lol Typical. I had a few issues last update, but I think Tiny Co corrected them from their end after a day or so. At least it’s no while the event was on or something so could be worse

My game was fine until this update. Now it’s gone, and when it reloaded Level 1, the graphics were lowered again. Even the FB login doesn’t work.

Yes same! I don’t know what to do, the last time something like this happened it completely ruined a game I was playing and I started over from the beginning.

Hmm, has anyone else had an issue with this update? It’s logged me out and started my game to level 1 from level 40. I’ve been trying to restore it but it says I’ve already logged in my FB account and the game associated with this account is level 1! Arrh help! I’m also getting lots of connection errors even tho I have full wifi signal, I’ve never had this many before. I’ve contacted tiny co so see what they say but wondered if anyone else had the same nightmare?

here’s something even worse! i downloaded ios8 about 2 hours ago & there was an app store update to make the game compatible with the new iphones coming out on friday. well, i do the update but it won’t take & keep trying to do it over & over & making the game unplayable. so i call apple & they tell me to try turning off my phone then turn it back on & see if that works, it didn’t. so then they tell me to try to uninstall then reinstall the game. well when i go back to the app store & type in family guy the quest for stuff, it’s gone, not there all as if it never existed to begin with & was never ever there !! so now i’m majorly pissed off! i can’t play my game at all ! because according to the app store, there is no game called family guy the quest for stuff!! WTF??!!! all i can say is they better get this *** fixed quick !!

I updated to iOS 8 on my iPad Air and sur enough, not only can’t I update the app, but when I checked the App Store it is not even listed, even under my purchases, which indicates that it is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH IOS8, which most likely is a short time thing as updates take a couple days to get through the submission queue before approval.

Is anyone else getting an “unable to connect to server” error message right now? I updated the game about a half hour or so ago (on iOS) and have been unable to connect since then. No one else seems to have mentioned it so,Imwas just curious if it was a widespread problem or just for me.

Hey just did latest update on ios it sent me back to the opening video and now it won’t connect to server so I haven’t been able to log back into my game yet. Just wanted to let you know as people may want to wait to update. Also I wanted to thank you for explaining linking to an email address and about taking screen shot of long number. When looking at the building to build in District 8 the Quahog Malt Shoppe is not in shopping cart. Has it been discontinued? Or should I contact TinyCo.? I also noticed when I went to put somethings back in my Quahog that my Hummus Cart and the Wheelchair Skate Park are missing.

Um is there anything wrong about having Consulas house along with the workers house surrounded by abandoned warehouses along with it being across from my lava surrounded prison. Just thinking it might be a bit inappropriate. But seriously they all look decrepit.

Lol. Decoration and design is all up to you. If items look similar and “compliment” the design, I say put them together to make a realistic living location.

I’m a little disappointed with the info that was given to me from Alissa. Usually u guys are always sooo on top of it all. I asked if you need to clear all 3 patches of land to get tom and you said yes. I was on my way to finish clearing one patch and was told I have 2 more to go when I actually only have one. so I spend 50 clams to get another worker cuz I wasn’t gonna sit there and wait 60hrs. I Only need to clear 2. Really didn’t want to spend that 50 clams. Oh well, I still love u guys, you’re the best.

Sorry about that. You’ve got to remember TC is CONSTANTLY making changes on the fly in the game. Usually I complete the tasks when they first launch…And a lot of times they change an aspect before the majority of players get there. So what happened initially may not be as accurate when you hit that point as it was when it was first released. Which seems to be what happened here. I play on 2 games so I try to correct info when I see it but sometimes it’s too late.

Now now, you must also realize that TinyCo LOVES to switch things up on us ALL THE TIME. We provide the info that is currently being given to us. If you just pay attention to the last week, they changed a LOT of things with the unlock. Moved tasks, moved items from unlocked right away to unlocking later…on n on n on. It is not a matter of poor info. It is a matter of you are given the current info at the time.
Keep in mind that we ALWAYS stress to NOT spend your precious Clams on speeding up a District. EVER. Districts are here to stay and meant to stay a long time, so they can change with time. Hang on to them for needed items that you want in the game.
We can only help so much with something constantly changing. 😉

Is there any way to call Tinyco up?
Because after completing the blimp, the game crashed and all the items disappeared. And I’m not being able to contact through the in game option because the app is crashing whenever i got the message option. I’ve also emailed them but I am still waiting for a reply

So it appears Mayor West will be in his manor.
Its the same type of preview (if you can call it that) we got with Carter. He was showed to be in the cinema for the longest time and we didn’t even have a malt shop.
But all things considered. I am happy with this weeks update. Currently building the yuppy puppy, which I love the style of. It reminds me of a dog bakery near my school.
That and all these Italian restaurants! Lol :3

So I still don’t have district 9. Checked my updates and nothing. Even reinstalled the game and still nothing. Just says locked. The buildings are available to see but not purchase and the blimp hanger isn’t there either

Tiny Co have cocked up City Hall… Instead of 40 clams to speed up the 20 hour build, it only costs 2 plus you can build as many as you want as long as you don’t already have it built… Be quick to take advantage guys before it’s fixed 😉

If you do not hear from them by tomorrow, please resubmit it. Make sure you include the key words “missing building” and the one that’s gone.
Also, just before you do that…double check your inventory to see if the placed it back for you.
