TinyCo has announced that Mayor West will not be mayoring over our Tiny Quahogs tonight, apparently he got stuck in a taffy tube! That’s what he gets for….”Oooooooh piece of candy”!
And if that doesn’t make you pee your pants, here’s something that will! TinyCo is bringing back PeePants the inebriated hobo clown for one night only!
Yes, that’s right my friends. For the next 24 hrs you can get the clown that’s all hopped up on Bunny’s special “water” in your Tiny Quahog! He’ll make you laugh, he’ll make you cry…hell he’ll make you wet yourself!
Of course this kind of pant changing fun will require a few of those golden clams…here are the complete details on just how you can have this hobo fun in YOUR Quahog….
To see Pee Pants pop up in your Quahog you’ll have to have at least District 3 unlocked…and obviously not have him in your Quahog from the event last Spring.
He’ll set you back 175 clams. And you have 24 hours to make your decision if you want him in your Quahog.
The Ring of Fire decoration is also back…for 125 clams it’ll unlock a fun task for Peter, Circus Jump.
Here’s a look at his tasks…..

Now for my own personal take on this release… I’m actually a little ticked that this is being released as a clam purchase now. He was part of TinyCo’s first event with a limited-time character involved…and the event was a MAJOR disappointment. Not enough time, and poorly executed so a TON of players (myself, Bunny & my husband) who didn’t spend clams for him did not unlock him…no matter how often we checked our games. We did a poll as well to see just how many others had the same issue. You can see the results HERE……

Umm am I the only one experiencing this? When I go to the character tab, mayor west isn’t there. He just like disappeared. I only see Babs and Jillian. And you can’t unlock them yet either.

Yea, he seems to have disappeared from the store. It think they’re working a few game things and as a result pulled him temporarily. Hopefully he’s back soon! 🙂

Maybe Tinyco could make the circus come to town periodically as ongoing mini events & introduce new stuff you can buy with the items you collect. Players could decide what they want to spend the currency on depending on where they are in the game. Some people might be working on a costume for Lois or Quagmire while a new player could be working on Pee Pants. I would also like to see the old timey strongmen & their big wheeled bicycles at some point & what better way to bring them in the game than the circus? They could also make items like the fire hoop available for the currency. It would be neat to have but I’m certainly not spending 125 clams on it.

Bunny, you made a key point that still ticks me off about this till this day. Apparently pee pants was part of the first timed event. As a result, I actually never realized it was timed. I was just caught up in playing and trying to get items. I was somewhat taking my time with it and focusing on getting caught up on other things. I just know it disappeared for some reason and I did not know until months later what happened. I was still almost done with pee pants and I always figured, or hoped, they would bring him back and have chance to finish where I left off. We should at least get a fair chance at him again rather than having to just shell out a bunch of clams.

I am annoyed, but I get that they were really and truly just starting out when it first came and learning. I have watched them grow so much since and am amazed. I hoped that it would be a lesser cost or another circus event, even if they tossed him in to collect and acquire during halloween. I would have been happy to put in the extra week it would take to build him again from scratch. But then again, there is that flip side. Can’t make everyone happy all the time. It’s impossible. I still did buy him though this time round. Fire ring too.

Out of topic, but I wanted to comment that today I bought, for the very first time, a box of coins in order to get the clams and get Human Rupert, and I also contacted Tiny Co to tell them that there was a bad translation into Spanish that makes one think that you earn 600 clams when you buy a box of coins. They answered almost immediately and appreciated the help.

Funny, I did not recieve the Mayor West pop up in my game. But him being delayed is a good thing too. It gives us more time to focus on Tom.
Off topic: You guys should make a post about us predicting what the other districts will be. Like a prediction post. We would have to predict what items we would have to get for future characters.

I was hoping that they would bring back the ring of fire, but 125 clams is just too expensive for me.

I would rather TinyCo figure out a way to let us finish earning a special costume in the same way we were trying to the first time, rather than just default to clams only. If I’d wanted to spend clams getting it, I would have spent the clams when it was originally available.

While it would be ideal for many players if they do that, it would also be unfair for the others that actually finish the costume in time, since it tells the players to not hurry to finish a costume, because it will be re-released later at the same place you were before with more time.

Wow, I was just in my game and I clicked on a free character and I was able to carry/fly him around the town. Then I noticed that there were yellow arrows pointing to the places I could drop him to do a task! New feature I guess? Only thing was I wasn’t sure how to tell if it was the task I wanted him to do. So I went back to the char finder mode to select the task.

Way to expensive for Pee Pants. I was 1 pie away and that would have cost if memory serves right 10 or 20clams. So now 175 for it? Nope! !

I was one of the lucky ones who got pee pants, but honestly not used him since, just another spar costume in my game, I noticed people complained they could not get him due to it being timed, that I understand but what is the differance frommSexy Stewie, 3 day event, would have had no chance without the extension, and yet again with the Vinnie bonus building, again with 3 days and not being able to play 16 to 24 hours a day will not get this either, and purchased both of the bonus buildings with clams. Bunny you say depends on how much time players are putting in, playing all my spare time, and still not enough. This should be an achivable 7 day event so giving most players a chance, not a 3 days event again, so many people complained about Sexy Stewie being 3 days originaly, but obviously tiny are disregarding the comments from there fans of the game, dissapointed especially after already using clams for the extra buildings and still failing unless the drop rates suddenly change. Seriously thinking of dropping the game although love it most of the time.

They are not disregarding it. This was something that happened when the game just launched. So much has happened since. Them releasing it again is due to readers requesting it brought back. The game is not quite 6 mos old. They will have their ups and downs. They are still fairing MUCH better than another game we write about when it comes to listening and making changes. 🙂

Glad they brought pee pants back, I already unlocked the costume during the event but the moment I unlocked the costume the event ended and didn’t get the ring of fire as I didn’t want to pay for the ring if I didn’t achieve the costume. So now I have the ring of fire… 🙂

I was disappointed with the circus event. It was very poorly executed and I wasn’t close to getting the Pee Pants costume. I think it was 300-400 clams to create him. At first I thought 175 was a little high but if you factor in you don’t have to collect anything, I don’t guess it’s that bad. I have every other costume so I had to buy it 🙂 now I just can’t decide if I want to shell out another 125 clams for the ring of fire. Ugh 🙂

For a first (small) Event it was okay. The point is, at that time we were all testers of a game which was NOT ready to be published but they TRIED. Why not. I don’t mind that it seems that some Features are developing DURING an Event after comments of angry users come up
Okay. I spent 20 Clams to complete Pee Pants. Now Special Features become more and more expensive. We can DECIDE if we think it is WORTH IT. I bought the dancing Girls recently. That’s also a COMPLIMENT to Tinyco. for their countless ideas that may NOT BE perfect, but enjoyable. If you Forget to be angry that something does not function 🙂

Dangit! I remembered everyone saying the Pee Pants was the one that everyone should get from the last post, so when I saw it today I bought it. Then, I came on here and read that most of the people who said that earlier are now saying that it is overpriced. . . .Also, I didn’t realize that you had to buy the ring of fire for his best task. I wish I could get my money back. . . SIGH!!

I’m torn, really want Pee Pants Peter, but 175 clams is a lot. Especially considering when the event ended I was 1 pie short. I could have bought him for 10 clams at that time, but I didn’t because when I clicked on Pee Pants Peter a popup would always say “check back in the next district”. So I assumed the circus would return and I could finish him. Then, without warning, after the King Butt event he was gone. I would have gladly dropped 10 clams for him then had I known he would just disappear. They made it sound like you could continue at a later date to unlock him and then just ripped him from the game without warning. I want him, but can’t tell whether I’ll be more disappointed after dropping 175 clams for him knowing he does little for my game or passing on him.

the game was so new and circus was the very first and only event at the time; i was still unclear on gameplay. the message “check back in next district” is exactly what threw me off. i was only 2 pies behind and thought, “well, i’ll just try my hat in next district!” this misleading direction further strengthens my opinion that pp should be offered for clams in relation to what you collected. we didn’t understand at the time it was a one-time thing, or that he would not in fact be in “the next district”.
i do really enjoy the game and think tinyco is excellent at responding to feedback, which is why i’m giving it — not just trying to gripe, here!

I don’t understand why you would post that? Does someone spending clams on a game effect you in any way? I’ve been coming to this site since the game launched and after each event I’ve seen the community change from a small handful of helpful friendly people to a bunch of complainers. It’s sad to see this happen. I don’t knoe if your comments are born of jealousy or maybe you’re just having a bad day. Regardless, what people chose to spend the money that they have earned on is of little consequence to you. Can’t we all just get along?

A lil glimpse from my eyes…I did not see the comment as offensive. I think how a person takes it is what mindset they themselves are in at the time of reading. If you are upset, you read things in an upset tone. If you are happy, you read things in a happy tone.
We do allow everyone to voice their opinion. We may not all agree, but that is ok. We will allow venting and all sides of people’s views. Had it been offensive or attacking to us or another reader…the comment would not pass through our moderation and the person may lose commenting rights depending on the severity.
For now, it is a blanket statement. Can go both ways, so…we let it go through. 🙂

Now they have added character tasks to help get vinny and make it possible within the 3 day time span its still impossible for me with only 18 hours to go to get over 15 things. They should have thought about this before vinny was even released. Seriously thinking about uninstalling this game it used to be ok but lately everything is clams and unless your spending money on this game its putting people at a disadvantage to those that dont care about wasting money.

Those extra tasks were always there. You just had to complete quest to unlock them. All part of his questline.
Remember, they still have employees who need to put food on their tables and get a paycheck. They have to balance freemium and premium. So you will always see a mix. If you want to play freemium, not everything will be for you. They just gave a TON away free for con. Lots of goodies earned by just playing.
They will always give options for both styles of players.
Just an FYI. I have seen many get Vinny so far 3 days no problem. Not a clam spent. It is all how YOU play the game and the time you’re willing to put in it. 🙂

I must disagree Bunny. The top freemium game today(highest grossing) does not have a single thing that can not be unlocked by simply playing. It may take way longer to do so, but it does not “force” you to spend real money or miss out on level 5 Wizards.

If you want to compare…that’s fine, but do it in a fair arena.
TinyCo is…tiny. Lol. THIS game is their main staple right now.
The OTHER game we blog on is very similar to this one. But they also have tons of other top games to help cover costs. The money ALWAYS has to come from somewhere. Otherwise, how on earth do the pay for their lights to stay and and the game to be created? No money = no company and no game

I know how to stop everyone complaining about costumes being worthless, or that there is nothing to do in town after an event is over and you are at level 50. I’m serious here. TinyCo needs to make a Clam Recycling Factory. The concept is simple:
1.) The Clam Recycling Factory is a building about the size of the Nothing Suspicious Here Factory, but it operates like the Al Harrington’s Costume Shop. You tap the building to get a list of all the old, worthless Stuff it is currently keeping track of.
2.) Characters do their tasks to get item drops of Stuff that they used to drop earlier in the game. The Stuff accumulates in the Recycling Center. Then you trade it for clams. Here is my conversion chart:
1 Epic Rare = 1 clam
20 Extra Rare = 1 clam
40 Rare = 1 clam
75 Uncommon = 1 clam
3.) This would keep people playing every day, and the rate of clams coming into town actually wouldn’t be much more than 1 every two days or so if you average the drop rates. That’s not even a doubling of what you get for free from alternate Quahogs. This would instill a lot of goodwill with players, while not at all upsetting the “balance of the in-game economy” that TinyCo is so worried about. But best of all, it keeps the achievements of all the costumes you earned RELEVANT. And TinyCo could do special offers once a week on specific Stuff. Such as an Epic Rare Stuff dropped by the PeePants costume is worth double clams for two days only. It would be a cheap and easy way for them to keep new things happening each week while not having to do much extra work there in the office.
So what do people think? I’m actually considering starting a publicity campaign for this idea.

I agree with earlier posters. Give us the option to pay clams equivalent to the few items many of us were short and we might buy pee pants otherwise 175 is just too much for another outfit.

Im probably going to get many pissed of with what I will say but I think many are not seeing things with logic.
I understand that 175 clams for the costume is a steep price but remember that it was free when it went out originally. How would people that spent hours and hours trying to get the items for Sexy Stewie or any other costume feel if two or three months later they start selling those costumes for 50-75 clams. A lot of people would get mad since they spent hours or even clams to finish it in time to learn that months after, if it were for 50-75 clams, it would almost be free considering you can get at least one free clam daily.
My point is basically that for tinyco, they are basically compari g the hassle players endured to get the costume and guve it a price accordingly.
An examole would be, considering how long and hard its been to get sexy stewie, imagine that in November they sell the costume for a 100 clams. People would get even more pissed of than now.

I completely get your point, which is why I was ok with that for Rollerblading Peter. However, with Pee Pants it’s a little off putting. This was a character that made many players stop playing the game for a long time. It was the first timed event with a character release in the game, and an epic fail. More than 60% of players didn’t get the costume and it was the start of TinyCo making some changes in the game.
So to see him for 175 clams when over 60% of the players didn’t get him the first time because there just wasn’t enough time (and as often as Bunny and I go into our games…neither one of us got him) is really off putting for those same players that just missed last time. And at that point the game was less than a month old and many people weren’t invested with clams just yet, so they didn’t have them to spend to finish him. So what those 60% + players are saying is just give us a chance, now that they’re using clams more regularly, to pay the reduced clams we would have had to pay in May because we collected everything but 1 pie or 1 horn or something.

With Rollerskating Peter I had a few friends text me and ask if it was worth it and I simply said no..not for that much. Your theory of 50-75 clams would be the same as getting it for free doesn’t work for me because although like everyone else I get free clams at best every other day even for 50 that e ould take me a 100 days to earn..so a person willing to give up 100 days of free clams in a best case scenerio to the three days it took me to earn him…I think that is more than fair plus the factor that I don’t have to spend that because I already have him means I can spend it on something more worthy
Pretty sure Tinyco flubbed this one like they flubbed Brian Cranston when it came to price point to maximize their profits. I’M pretty sure Tinyco made a much bigger profit on Nathan Fillion than Cranston because the price point…if they had more than double the people that purchase Nathan over Cranston (which we are pretty safe to say they did) then they hurt themselves. . I’m thinking a very low amount of people are willing to pay 175 for pee pants..the lower the cost the more purchases the higher the profit to a certain point. Im thinking if this was sold at 75-100 they would of made a ton more profit. I bring this up because when something is simply overpriced everyone loses. .the company because of minimal profits and the players because it just isn’t worth the cost and the players again because less profit means less cool things in the game later

You have a valid point in the price. If its lower, more people would probably pay and thus, they earn more money.
The “problem” or situation is how much clams can they ask for costumes, without it being real easy for everyone to buy them and thus not waste much time trying to earn it.
If for example, they put a hard costume to get at 60 clams, that would mean that all the tasks and time spent trying to get all the items needed to get him for free would be seen as 60 clams, which is way low considering how hard the extra rare items are to drop.
Yes, 175 is steep and Im thinking that if they release sexy stewie later for clams, it will probably be for 250-300 clams, since this was way harder to get and required way more things than the current one.
How many clams would it be fair for a player that didnt get a costume to pay for it, while at the same time, being fair to the players that worked hard to get the costume for “free”, Yes, I keep saying “free” because at the end of the day, nothing is totally free at the game, since they are giving stuff for your hours of play. Instead of paying us with money for playing, they are paying us in things to use in the game, so that we stay involved and interested in the game.

I don’t really agree with buying it for clams.. just because it’s a useless costume (Pretty much like most of Peter’s costumes) and the earnings aren’t that huge. I’ll pass on this one. I’m guessing it’ll turn up in the future again anyway.

No… it’s not in my friend’s towns, but in my own. I had known about the friend image glitch. But earlier tonight it was collecting fine. Just now when I checked to put some characters on tasks till the morning, I noticed none of my rent money collected. I didn’t hear the “cha-ching” sound either. I checked again with Peter’s house just to make sure I wasn’t just missing it. I tried to let it collect by itself. It didn’t. Then I tried tapping on it, it just disappeared. My coin counter doesn’t go up either.
It’s an entirely new glitch, I suppose.

No. Still the same issue (there are different results). It happened both at home and Ollieland for players. Same results. For some players it was just a missing image. For others it seemed as though it went into nowhere, but after force close and restart of device…they returned to find money/xp there and issue corrected. If neither result in you getting your money and XP (XP as long as you are not maxed at level 50), then that is the one TinyCo needs to go into your town and investigate…so they want players to contact them so they can determine the issue. Most of the time it is an image/count glitch they find that the game is just delayed in adding to the totals.
If troubleshooting does not fix it for you, please contact them so they can look in your game to see how it is impacting you.

i think it would’ve been more appropriate to sell peepants for clams based on what you achieved in first event. i was 2 COMMON items away from earning him as i played INCESSANTLY that weekend! had i one more hour of event time, i would’ve unlocked him. i would now buy him for the clam equivalent of 2 common items. if that is not possible for tinyco to execute, i don’t think this skin should’ve been offered today, especially for the price.

Well, you can’t really blame TinyCo for trying to push for some clam purchases. This is after all the end goal of any game, to make money. They have given us a lot lately. Extended time on events due to glitches, player feedback. Increased chance off drop rates, though it is still random, someone will always not be getting something. Skins we’ve asked for. Celebrities, most for free. I have no complaints. But, there’s always a butt. Just turn around.
Bringing back a skin is a good thing, even if it’s for clams, but maybe not if players didn’t get it because of a bug. And for only one day is kind of a kick in the face. 5 days ? 10 days? At least let casual players know it’s available so they have time to purchase it? 5 days to buy clams is potentially 5 times the clam purchases and most of us get paid on Friday so 5 days at least sounds fair taking different time zones into account. I’d launch on Wednesday till Monday so you could work out glitches. Everyone hates Monday anyway.

I personally would have turned it into another mini preview event for Halloween, like the Pink Brian skin. Have a mini quest line where Peter wants to get a costume for Halloween, and think about dressing up as a clown. Then do a 5 day event where all the characters not involved with Sexy Stewie or Vinny could do item tasks for it. Of course, if you already had the costume, then you wouldn’t get the quest. They could even shave it close so 20% of the players could have unlocked the costume for free, but the rest would shell out 25-50 clams to cover the last two or three extra rare Stuff items they didn’t get.

While I understand your idea, it would be a bad idea for the fact that sobmany worked and got it the first time, so making it easier now would piss off a lot of players, unless you give something extra to the ones that got the costume at the first time.

…….maybe it came up before, but I just finally got my Patrick Stewart to level 15 and he didn’t max out. I was looking forward to starting to turn my ComicCon characters gold this week. Oh well. But does anyone know what the event characters max levels are?

Not quite there myself yet, but looking at the progress bars for all the ComicCon characters it looks like they’re all level 25 max-outs.
Anyone else think we should get extra clams for going gold? 6 months in and I’m only just on the verge of maxing Peter. Some recognition is due I think TinyCo 😄

I have one more thing to ask you gals.
The new Halloween event is coming up and I like others want to get everything we can during the event. Right now, I am on district seven but I am nearing district eight which means that I could unlock Stewie as well as Carter. However I have heard a ton of people saying that Stewie takes a very long time to unlock. So my question is, should I repair Bob’s Funland and start working on collecting the stuff for Stewie during the event, or will it be a hassle, and should I hold off and collect stuff after the event? Also, will this apply to Carter as well?
I know that the Halloween event has not come out yet and I know that we know nothing about it, but I want a few recommendations from those who have had this similar situation during the Comic-con event since both events will most likely be similar in ways such as the prize system and update system.

Lol. No worries. My suggestion…Stewie is coming into HUGE play and a great need for this District 9 stuff now and future. I also see him adding more to the game and events. I would probably start doing what you can to get him unlocked. It takes a lil time, yes, but it didn’t seem too terribly long to me.
My thoughts anyway.

Another advice is to try and see who is needed for Stewie’s items, since Im assuming the Halloween event will last over two weeks and not all characters will be used for the quests. For examole Peter hasnt been used so far for anything in District 9 other than to try to get an item for Tom Tucker, so if he doesnt have much to do in Halloween or his quests finish faster, he would be free to help with Stewie.

Ugh!! Getting Stewie is a pain in the arse! The plutonium is the kicker. At first they were dropping at an ok rate for being extra rare. But I have needed only 2 for 15 days now and just got one three days ago. I now only need one but who knows how long that will take. Without buying the building you have 6 chances over a 24 hour period with Lois and Brian. It’s becoming really annoying now. It’s more like an extra epic item 😃. Good luck.

I’m not one of the gals but agree with Bunny, go for Stewie, he’s not difficult it’s just that he needs a lot of items to unlock. The only issue you may have is if TinyCo do overlapping drops again, where the same task drops items for two completely separate things as you will only get one item. I was affected by that once before but was several districts behind in the game at the time.
I’m amused to see someone else bothered about the length of their posts, I’m terrible for turning a sentence into three paragraphs. Quite often I re-read my lengthy posts, decide I can’t post all that and just delete the lot. It’s possibly a good thing if you want to be a writer but not so good if you want to use Twitter.

I agree with Bunny. The sooner you start working on unlocking them, the sooner (hopefully) you’ll finish. There might be some overlap, but you can prioritize. I think it’s also good to start now, before Halloween really gets under way in October.

I managed to unlock him back in the event in the last hour. I definitely wouldn’t buy him (or any costume) for such a high clam price. Costumes don’t earn premium unlike they do in TSTO so there’s basically almost no point in having them.

I spent a couple of clams on Pee Pants because I wasn’t clear on when the deadline was going to be. It’s funny though, I still have clowns running around town from that event.

Same here. I have leftover clowns that I didn’t clear– intentionally– they’re like NPCs in my town. 🙂
