Phase 3 of District 9 just hit our Tiny Quahogs! More details as we go through it all ourselves…but for now know that things get started with Stewie and you’ll be asked to build the Mayor’s Mansion (It’ll set you back $10,000 and take 24hrs to build)…and yes this will FINALLY unlock Mayor West!
Also, know that you have to have completed Who Let the Dogs Out Pt. 8 before this will trigger in your game.

Note: This will NOT unlock until you have Mayor West and are prompted to build it via his questline (Mayor West Runs the Town Pt. 4).
UPDATE BUNNY 12:15AM EST: I did NOT tap Stewie to start the dialog for the new Adam West stuff. I was able to buy and place Magic Clams. So if you already have triggered it, you may have to wait til Pt 4. If you did not, you might be able to snag it now.

Fragrance Factory
The Factory is a key part of this district. You’ll need to create Cologne Bottles to finish the questline. Here’s what you’ll need to do that:
First, it requires 24hr Stewie Task to Design One (this starts the quest to be able to make the cologne). Once you complete this task once you won’t have to do it again. (this is how it worked in my game…but that could be because I was rushing with clams. If you have a different outcome please let us know…ie if you see the factory BEFORE having Stewie design it)
You’ll also see a popup in your store for the Factory for $7,500 (this can be placed as . Instant Build. This Triggers the ability to make Cologne.
Here’s how you create Cologne:
5 Empty Perfume Bottles (Common): Earned by Make Dr. Hartman Test Experimental Drugs OR Make Stewie Play with Lois’ Stuff OR Make Connie Get Luxury Spa Treament
6 Toilet Water (Uncommon): Earned by Make Mort Retreat Cowardly OR Make Brian Watch Lois Shower from Air Vent OR Make Herbert Take Gross Old Man Bath OR Make Chris Hang Out at Home
6 Heavy Musk (Uncommon): Earned by Make Vinny Smoke Cigar OR Make Carter Smoke Money Cigars OR Make Tom Buy Mustache Cream OR Make Quagmire Giggity Strut
750 Coins..you have to have $750 coins on hand (at least) as each creation costs $750
Each one of these earns ONE Cologne Bottle.
You’ll have to repeat the process of collecting bottles etc several times to create enough Cologne Bottles to help Mayor West.
And that completes this release of District 9…

I just wanted to say that I was able to build the fragrance factory before having Stewie design it. He’s actually doing it now.

Yes, you can build it prior to the quest..but to make colognes you have to complete stewie’s plan task first.

Could anyone tell me the size of the mansion? I have saved a 14×8 plot for it, but reading comments it might be bigger than that. To be honest, I prefer larger buildings because it is more realistic, but the plot I have saved is all the land I’ve got left, and I don’t want to have to spend my dosh on expansions!

I was able to clear the dogs without any quest being involved I just click the dog and hit clear and whenever i click on the Perfume Factory the game force closes or freezes 😦 not able to complete quest

I started by clicking on stewie and started the mayors mansion than built a magic clam salt water taffy. I am still building the e mayors mansion and am building the third magic clam. I did not have to wait.

Many can. Remnants due to they pushed the end two days. They will go away eventually. Report it to them if you’d like in the meantime.

I have a suggestion for the draining memory issue (of which I’m being affected too). And it’s making a fragmented Quahog, where initially the game only charges the half of your Quahog, and you have to tap in the other half of the city to make it start loading, but the first half unload (or disload (?) ). What do you think?

Don’t you think that would get annoying though? Me personally, I would rather just tuck items away and keep my flow in the game going steady then have to reload my town all the time. My opinion anyway.

Yes, just my opinion too. But, if they pretend to keep expanding the lands, then I won’t even bother to buy any deco that I will not put. Either way, I know that I’ll end up buying a new device just to play this haha

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but the game crashes when I tap on the Factory to check my progress. If it helps I’m on bluestacks.

Not sure where to post this but it’s kind of district 9 related. I just unlocked stewie finally and while I know the sexy Stewie event is over my characters are dropping things to unlock sexy stewie even though he is not there anymore. Anyone else experiencing this.

Yup. We have answered this many times. 😉
The game was coded to end Monday. They forced it to go to Wednesday. This created a “hiccup” so when the new date expired remnants of the items remained. They have no merit and won’t add to anything. They are more like “ghosts”. You are welcome to report still seeing it to them if you would like. For now, just have to wait til they get all that remains removed from the game. 😉

Mayor West’s icon when clicking on the dogs is still showing low-res (really pixelated on the iPad). For those that unlocked him, Is it the same for his ingame icon in the character finder?
Speaking of which, is his Facespace up? When we unlocked Tom Tucker it wasn’t up until later, and another person commented that this is the case for Kool-Aid Man also, empty Facespace and the total characters count doesn’t match reality as a consequence.
PD: Yes, Mutant Stewie is still low res in the Facespace is still low res also.

Let them know on the resolutions. I think that all goes back to the changes they made during con to devices in order to prevent game crashing on them. FaceSpace is being worked on. Don’t know what they got up their sleeves yet. 😉

The Mayor’s Mansion did not trigger for me yet, but I was still able to buy the Taffy building. Doesn’t seem to be connected to the Mayor for me.

I am working on Tom Tucker and Vinnie at the Moment, both not unlocked yet. And no prompt for the Mayor’s Mansion yet, it doesn’t even show up in my menu. Neither does the Fragrance Factory.

What is Peter’s maximum level as all the characters stop at 15 and I have Peter on 19. Also need more land. And do I need to have vinny unlocked to start working towards mayor west.

I’m pretty sure Cartoon Network is aware of what is happening in the game & plans their shows accordingly. If you watch their nightly Family Guy episodes you notice these same kinds of “coincidences.” Sexy Stewie was on the night before his event started & I’ve noticed it in several other episodes since the game began.

Is there anyone else having an issue with connecting to facebook? Since the update when I went to sign in it told me that my facbook was not linked to the account. Before it was always linked, I just had to sign in. This is so confusing. Also my sister uses her android tablet with someone else and they usually switch back & forth with their games. Since updating she can’t find her game. She clicked on “sign in as someone else” but when she went to link the account it linked her to the other persons account instead of just uploading hers. Idk what they did when they changed how u log in but its confusing and it sucks. Please help

Facebook is a tricky beast. You need to realize that it is not the game. Check your device itself and see what the actual Facebook online or Facebook app is logged into. Because when the game goes to find an account, it looks into what Facebook YOU have logged into that device and will sync to that. So first make sure it is YOUR Facebook. Secondly if you have multiple Facebooks, make sure all others are logged out and the correct one is logged in on the device or you will have issues.

I was able to buy and place magic clams after I trigger stewie to start the quest. I think u won’t be able to buy it if u finish building the building for mayor west (and then u’ll be able to build it after pt 4 like Alissa say), just an FYI.

The only thing that grinds my gears is each time we have a character to unlock or a task to do that requires using other characters, it’s always the same characters. This game doesn’t use the other characters, it especially upsets me when Cleveland isn’t use, as much work it required to get him. My point is let’s start using everyone! Bad enough when you need Stewie or an regular used character for 3 different task and they range from rare on up on come on!

This is the one thing I do not like about this game. You get excited to unlock a costume you can never use it because you have time limited events almost 100% of the time. What good is pee pants costume for Peter if I’m constantly running other tasks. At this point costumes become worthless. I know at times certain costumes help some collections but as much as it seems like it should be a good thing the constant barrage of events just makes me feel slave to the game. Not enjoying my Quahog.

1) Unless they’ve changed it, you can build the taffy stand before the quest prompts it…I’m building Adam West’s mansion now (only like an hour in) as well as the taffy stand!

All I can say is patience. The District is staged for a reason. So happy lil speeders like YOU learn to slow it down a bit and enjoy all the time and hard work they put into giving you all this cool new stuff. Take time and enjoy the dialog, characters, and tasks. Actually play the game a lil bit. 😉
Info on the Factory will come after verification. The orange store is there because…why not? Taffy is delicious. Blimp has not even begun to start yet, patience. Dialog for Kool Aid? You just sped through it all.

I’ve yet to have an issue with memory draining on my Iphone 5. I have 85% of my town decorated with buildings and a TON of decorations. Has yet to cause me any issues at all. I’m guessing the memory draining issue is plaguing older devices, because I have one of the “busier” Quahog’s that I’ve seen decoratin wise, and I’ve had zero issue.

Perfect timing! I just finished vinny’s questline and was not expecting to be prompted to build mayor wests mansion emediatly after. Super sweet! Kinda wierd that the orange stand or tree doesnt drop oranges not that its necesarry but it would have made sense. And I hope the next update includes more space because that mansion is HUGE!

They really need to expand the available land. Especially with Halloween on the way. I sold off a couple office buildings, inventoried some others (and a few decorations). But I’m running out of space. And they’ve got all that woodland sitting up there… doing nothing. Never thought I’d be pro-deforestation/suburban sprawl.

I know people hate to hear this, but store a bunch of that. It’s not just to get it out of way, but also it is LESS memory drain on your game and your game will run a LOT smoother with less in it.

Am I the only player who is completely out of open space? I have to keep putting buildings in my inventory just to build the new stuff. If they don’t open more land before the Halloween event, I’ll no longer be able to play. I’m not dismantling my entire town just to continue. What’s the point of that? Their content to open land ratio is way off in my opinion.

Yet The Simpsons Tapped Out allows you to display ALL your decorations and buildings without a problem, so does other tap games. I think TinyCo are making excuses, if they have such a memory/drain problem they could always go with the Krustyland soluution on TSTO or the many lands on the Smurfs game and other farming games.

Funny that you say that. You couldn’t be more wrong. For proof…just ask myself and Wookiee. We had TOO MUCH in our games and were locked out. He was able to get his back after they reset his town back to like a week before the issue appeared, but he did lose items as they were the cause. For myself…same thing. I was locked out of my account for 3 months as they just could not get in there with all the coding from too many items. They finally were able to get in by rolling my game back 4 months to a point that there was not so many items. I lost a LOT. TONS I won’t be able to get back. It was still a bit laggy when I got it back, but could get in. I had to store even more items to now get it where I can play it at a normal pace again.
I get that people think there are easy fixes, but it is not. There is a LOT more to a game that you may not see or even understand. It is quite the opposite of just a “simple fix”. 😉

Hey Bunny or Alissa, can you pass on to TinyCo that I have a level 15 Ron Pearlman and my friend has a level 16 Patrick Stewart and they don’t seem to be capping like they normally should. Figure it’s just something that got by them when they were making the characters and they forgot to cap them. I want gold portraits!

The Facespace has a progress bar under each character. It appears that all the comic-con characters will max at level 25 the same as Peter.

MILLIONS of people all trying to get on the game at the exact moment is gonna crash the server. Be patient. Let the flood die down. In the meantime, watch you WiFi signal and watch for too many items in your town. Too much can cause memory drain and crashing as well.

Follow the basics to see if any troubleshooting helps.
If it does not, let TinyCo know. In the meantime, we have reported it too but they need you to contact them so they can see the games that are actually impacted. We are not having this issue so our games are no use to troubleshoot it.
