After a long wait the update has finally hit our games!
TinyCo’s giving us a chance to make summer last a little longer with the Kool-Aid Man! OOOOOHHHH YAAAAAHHH!!!
There’s also another chance to unlock Cleveland with this update…..
More details below the fold…
Unlock the Kool-Aid Man! You have 4 days (slightly more) to collect STUFF (ingredients) to unlock the Kool-Aid Man in your Tiny Quahog! Make sure Peter is free as he kicks this off with his Vinyl Pants. Lol.
UPDATE BUNNY 9-26: Per TinyCo, questlines for this will go when it ends. So up to you on what you want to complete, just know anything left will end at 3PM PDT regardless where you are on it.
You’ll see that a large Boom Box has dropped in your town after you start the Endless Summer quests (During Part 1 that triggers Kool Aid). Just like the Jack O Lantern and Animal Crate…this can drop ANYWHERE in your town. By waters edge. By edge of land. Behind buildings. Behind decorations. ANYWHERE. So seek it out. It is not really small in size, but small enough to hide. 3×4 Plot. Once located, you CAN tap on it and move it like any other item.
The boom box is where you’ll see the collection guide/manager for Kool-Aid Man:
As you can see…here’s what’s needed to unlock him:
10 Cherries (Always)- Get from Clearing Kool-Aid Man from your Quahog (he’ll pop up every 7hrs. Tap on him to earn Cherries)
8 Ice Cubes (Always)- Get From Good Times Pier OR From Kool-Air Beach Volleyball Court
25 Pitchers (Rare)- Get From Make Peter Dance the Shipoopi OR Make Jerome Play Ball OR Make Bruce Kitten Pickin’ OR Make Lois Buy Groceries OR Make Chris Fat Kid Hula Hoop
Note: I know A LOT of you are worried about collecting 25 pitchers in time…however it’s not so bad. Jerome’s task to do this is 1hr (and Chris has a 4hr task), focus on those two…send the others (if free) but don’t stress to much about them. Focus on Jerome for the most part. I just did a little test with it and sped him up 7 times and got 5 pitchers. It is completely doable…just have to focus on the right characters. Remember it’s only Friday…you still have more than 4 days to do it. Try it over the weekend and reserve judgement until Monday night 😉
UPDATE BUNNY 9-26: Per TinyCo, the decorations linked to this will go when it ends. So make sure you have purchased what you want in your game by then so you can keep it after it ends.
Endless Summer Decorations:
Endless Summer Banner– $250
Kool-Aid Sk8 Park– $3500
Big Bonfire– $2,000
Good Times Pier– $750. Earns $45,30xp/8hrs. Ice cubes will always drop from this as well.
Jetski Peigeon– 50 Clams
Kool-Aid Beach Volleyball Court– 125 Clams, always drops ice cubes. Earns $45, 30xp/8hrs
Kool-Aid Ferris Wheel– 250 Clams, Earns $70, 45xp/12hrs
Cleveland has also made a return to Quahog…so if you missed out on him during The Full Moon Event now’s your chance to get him. However….it’ll cost you. Cleveland is now a premium character and will set you back 400 Clams! He comes with his house and you’ll see the He’s Bla-ack….Again: Prelude pop up in your game for the option to purchase him.
UPDATE BUNNY 9-26: Per TinyCo, Cleveland is NOT linked to this so we currently do not have an end date for his availability. My opinion on him, all I can say is Halloween is coming up and he may play a main role. So you may want to pick him up if you don’t have him.
We’re awaiting FULL confirmation from TinyCo, but for now assume that ALL Kool-Aid decorations and buildings (along with Kool-Aid man) will disappear on 9/30 at 3pm PDT. If we have any changes to that we’ll update this post. (as far as Cleveland goes, we’re waiting for confirmation on him as well)

sorry for that, but this game has the worst engine ever…i am a big fan of family guy and i am playing the game since it was launched and i play it daily, but i am noticing a big lag in the gameplay with other games (TSTO as example)…the city re-design option is very laggy and it kills me to have some stuff moved around…also one more thing, go easy on the new contents, we are getting bombered with new stuff that requires sometimes logging on the game every 2 hours.
again i am a big fan of family guy the series and the game, but i am giving some positive criticism

So when the koolaid man arrives.. Is that every 7 hours no matter what? So like you could potentially have more than 1 at a time? If you don’t check it enough (I do tho lol) or is it 7 hours after you collect the one that you have in your town?

He is here to stay. They are focused on the 3 day time side quest to get the pastaria. Requirement is to unlock him in 3 days. But if you dont care or dont make it…you can take all the time you want to unlock him still.

My only gripe is that the pier is soooooo small and the Ferris wheel and skate park are sooooo huge. Also the water really needs to be able to allow 2 or 3 more tiles out. Our boats and this pier should be able to extend further into the water. (The island should also be able to be fully surrounded by water. Other wise it’s a peninsula.)
But truly the pier next to the Ferris wheel looks ridiculous.

Dang, I still haven’t unlocked Tom. When Vinny came up,I spent all my resources getting him, I get him, and I am like, ok cool, I can focus back on Tom, and now Kool Aid man pops up….. So I guess I gotta focus on getting Kool Aid man now lol. I aint complaining, just saying.

I ‘m in the same boat. I need a bunch of mustache cream and satellites(slow as death dropage)..I prioritized Vinnie and sexy stewie instead of Tom..since Vinnie was tied to the dogs walking around and Adam West clears the dogs besides the timer I thought it best to unlock to get West, I think I’ll have peter do satilites instead of kool aid pitchers for now, hopefully having left Tom behind won’t stall any new content for awhile

Yes, and he`s completely useless. I got him back at the musem event and have not used him once for a task. Like King butt, the Actors and other unlockables… they`re just a decoration.

I’ve done the maths and since I’ve only just started and I have to go to school and wifi is true de off at nine I can’t get enough ice cubes and cherries I at least need a full week and it’s a shame I love this character 😦

You guys suggest using Chris, but he’s needed dor a 16hr. task? Do ya’ll have a walkthriugh of that quest yet? Is it worth it to put him on it to continue to next phase? Or on pitchers? The dilemmas only we addicts face… lol 😉

I was collecting for Tom Tucker, then had to delay him to get Sexy Stewie, then had to delay him again for VInny’s free building, and now again for Kool-Aid Man. Not complaining. It’s well worth it! Can’t wait for Mayor West and the upcoming Halloween update!!

I’ve purchased the jetski pigeon but when I am in edit/placement mode deciding where to place him, it gets enlarged almost 5x times its original size. Then when I exit edit/placement mode, it returns back to normal. Is this supposed to happen and has this happened to anyone else besides me?

Love getting the constant updates and quests but damn these extra rare items holding everything up … Did anyone else miss out on sexy stewie cause your trying to get that damn plutonium???? Now a chance for Cleveland and knowing I have tom Tuckers mystery box awaiting needs clams …. Just a heads up I assume 400 clams is a good discount for C but in all honesty I’ve had him since KotFM and after it till now I’ve had him on one of those boring day activity characters along with his costume, sure it’s cool to have him but all your paying for is to look at him and ship him onto to day activities, in my opinion? Not worth the trouble, good deal but yet another pointless character

No need to complain about the pitchers being rare. Don’t forget these aren’t as hard to get. Rare items actually drop frequently. As for the ice cubes and cherries, they always drop so no worries.

Ooooh yeah!!!! I want Koolaid man! I’m dropping everything till I get him. So fun. I love these small events to keep us busy. TinyCo never allows me to be bored for a second. And that is why they are awesome. Oooh yeah!

kool-aid man is the type of random character i love, really hope I can get him. And as for Cleveland, who I already unlocked during the event, 400 clams seems steep. Although TinyCo knows he’s a popular character and im sure many people who are dying to have cleveland won’t hesitate to make the purchase and any oppertunity to get him is better than none

I’m hoping at least that with Cleveland being “available” (albeit, expensive), that TinyCo might actually start utilizing him for collection tasks. I love having him and Peter dance, but usually I need Peter for something else so I can’t do it. Would be good to get Cleveland involved, that’s for sure.

i have been waiting since this game came out for kool aid man and figures it would be 25 rare items..ugh this is pathetic. if you want us to collect so many in such a short period of time TinyCo make them common drops…yet again excellent job of pissing off an entire community of players

The tasks range from 1 hour to 20 so if you are diligent it should not be that bad rare should drop 40-60% of the time. Just constantly put Jerome on the task.

I powered Jerome through his 1 hr task with clams. 2 clams for each try, 1 clam at 30 minutes. Hit the retry button and kept getting the pitchers over and over and over.

It does seem backwards, we only need 8 of the “always” Ice Cubes, but need 25 of the “rare” Pitchers. Plus that doesn’t make sense, means there would be a lot of warm Kool-Aid! 🙂

As does mine, but it’s an always drop rate (if you look at the boombox chart)…and I tested it several times (speed it up about 4 times) and each time it dropped ice cubes.

You know I really don’t appreciate having to rip my town apart when something like the boombox or pumpkin shows up and hides. I can handle the candy because at least that is on the road but come on at least make it visible when we click the 4 way button, that way we can just tap a building and see if it is behind it without having to move everythig around because we all know moving things in this game is not always that easy. Well thats it for me even with these little issues I love the recent updates and love the game 😀

The boombox and pumpkin are visible when you click the move objects button. You can spy behind buildings to find them (it;s how I found mine).

Okay. Sorry. I guess I was hoping maybe someone from Tinyco would see and help. I’ve sent them a message and it’s been like two weeks and I miss playing 😦 and I’ve tried logging in on friends devices and all the normal trouble shooting… The problem is linked with my account not my phone cause I get same message everywhere…. It happened shortly after my first purchase of clams. It’s really just bumming me out its the only game I really ever played on my phone

Will someone please help with this? It pops up constantly and I can’t play Error message “config empty for Id IAPgoal1 in goals” as soon as I see my town in the background consuela pops up with that then it goes back to the loading screen and repeats over an over

Ian….we’ve told you many many times….with this issue, we can’t help you. You have to contact TinyCo and wait for them to respond. We have zero access to your game and cannot fix issues like this, only TinyCo can. So….you MUST contact TinyCo and wait for their response to see if they can fix it for you.
As much as we love helping players this is like the 10th time we’ve told you this…and you’re still posting the same comment. So this is the last time we’re going to answer this comment. Contact TinyCo my friend…

I think this is an 8 yrs old playing this game. I really feel bad for you both (Alissa & bunny) cuz there’s a lot of whiners and piss off people that you have to deal with and repeatedly answering the same answer like 50 times when all they have to do is scroll down a little. They actually think you guys make the game and HAVE TO fix all there problems and still you politely answer them w/o getting mad cuz I woulda been “what r u, Meg?”. U guys have a lot of patience and that’s a rare trait in this day and age. Keep it up.

True, but their not wanting to scroll down shouldn’t reasonably inconvenience you b/c they don’t want to bother to read. WP allows them to subscribe when a response to their comment is submitted. Alternatively, the lazy person can just ctrl+f/command+f their name. There are ways to hack to getting around hardwork (not talking about game).
I am usually a patient person myself, but I draw the line when people don’t bother to read and expect you to regurgitate info for them when it’s readily available.

We get it. It is ok. It can get tedious, but we don’t mind the help. We try to refocus them and link to the proper place or direction. It is life in the world now a days. Many want instant but won’t put forth an effort to seek it themselves, instead they want someone else to provide it.
I really don’t mind helping. I just try to do it in a teaching way also. 😉

400 Clams for Cleveland?! He doesn’t even do anything.. It’s like they’re trying to make money from people who missed out on events with 1-Day sales and extremely over-priced deals.

I’ve wanted Cleveland for ages. By the time the game was released for my device (Kindle) Cleveland had already been and gone, so this is my first chance at him.
For 400 clams though, they can keep him. Sorry, my bad, I meant 390, since I’d get 10 lousy clams back for completing the set.
I put as much money as I am willing to into this game during ComicCon. I have some clams left over, but not THAT many. Since that event finished it’s just been “Pay Money For This Animal! Pay Money For These Animals! Now Pay Money For This Costume! Now Pay For THIS Costume! Now Pay For This Formerly-Free Character! Now Pay For THIS Formerly-Free MAJOR Character!”
You can’t even buy a pack of 400 clams, you have to go up to 600. I’m not paying $20 to unlock Cleveland, no matter how much of an important character he is to the show. And this will work against TinyCo, because now that I’ve resigned myself to having that blank space on my character sheet, I’ll be less inclined to bother with others in future. I barely even care if I get Kool-Aid guy now, and he’s free. A few weeks ago I’d have been all over that, setting timers for every 7 hours and optimising the tasks. Now – can’t be bothered. TC need to be careful they don’t wear people out overdoing the premium stuff, like they have me.

Forget about keeping the boom box, I’m tired of having to hunt down items hiding behind buildings. I wish TinyCo would designate a spot for event items or allow us to place them on our own (or have a hide building feature a la TSTO). My town is a train wreck right now because I had to lose my sidewalks to make the candy drops easy to find and this morning I had to shuffle my buildings around to find said Boom Box… it’s getting irritating.

Anyone else try to rotate the boom box only to find that the grid it’s on rotates, but the boom box itself doesn’t? Can you say texture glitch?

I updated at 1:30 am and I was playing on my Facebook account then I switched on my phone to play another account and my level 49 for Facebook got overwritten with my other account and lost everything, how do I get my level 49 back?

If signing in doesn’t work my only other thought process would be to contact TinyCo on it. They may have to reset your Facebook account to your old game.

It seems fairly easy, as long as you check your game frequently. Jerome’s task is 1 hr and Chris’s is 4…the others are longer but you’ll get several attempts with each of those before the others run out. It seems pretty fair…and it leaves Tuesday not Monday which is nice 🙂
