Halloween Character Profile: Diane Simmons

Hello There Clammers!

Halloween has arrived in Quahog!  And Peter, in typical Peter fashion, has decided to tick off the dead.  In doing so Peter accidentally opens a dark portal in the Quahog cemetery and unleashes all manner of ghosts and goblins on the city…your job is to help round up these ghost, goblins and ghouls!  And while he’s at it he’s decided there weren’t enough ghostly figures wandering around Quahog that he goes and digs up Diane Simmons!

Of course to enjoy all Diane has to offer in TQFS you’ll have to unlock her, which is fairly easy, depending on how much patience you have.  So let’s take a closer look at the details behind this serial killer…

Diane returns to Quahog via the Halloween Event.  You’ll find her 6′ deep and you’ll have to dig her up.  It’ll cost you 250 Spirit Vials and take 8hrs to dig her up.  Once you’ve freed Diane you’ll have FIVE DAYS to unlock her or she’ll go back into her grave never to be heard from again.  So make sure you’re ready to unlock her before you start digging her up….

Note: Terror Dog Bones are required to unlock her.  Make sure you have Ghostbuster Peter BEFORE you dig her up.  

Unlocking Diane isn’t awful, it’s just with a short timeline to do it in you can really feel the crunch.    To unlock Diane you’ll need to craft the following in the cauldon:

-Chomps the Zombie
-Electricity Ball.

You must craft BOTH items via the Cauldron.  You do not have to craft items in order, so you can skip other items and jump right to these too.  To Craft the Electricity Ball you’ll need 200 Spirit Vials and 10 Terror Dog Bones.  To Craft Chomps the Zombie you’ll need 200 Spirit Vials and 20 Terror Dog Bones. Note: Terror Dog Bones will be used when you craft something.  So you’ll need 30 Terror Dog Bones all together to craft both items.

Tip: You can craft both items BEFORE digging her up and they should count towards her once she’s unlocked.  However, my strategy is to collect enough Terror Dog Bones (30) to craft the two items, then dig her up and then craft both items.  (just to play it safe)
Remember the clock starts as soon as you “find” her.  Which means as soon as you repair the grave and click that check and she first appears…that’s the moment the clock will start.

So now that we know HOW to unlock Diane, let’s take a look at her tasks once she’s unlocked:

There you have it….the devilish details on bringing this serial killer back to Quahog!  As you can see, once unlocked Diane will be a great help in collecting more Spirit Vials and Fright Points.  She also comes with a full questline, Hell Hath No Fury, which you can view here.
