UPDATE BUNNY 2:10 PM EST: TinyCo JUST pushed a fix for the Poltergeists issue. For those players on Fright Level 7 and above, it seems to have impacted the most. So give it a moment to load and you should be good to go. 🙂
They are also looking into the issue of Banshees. Waiting for clarification on spawn rates, etc. Will update once we have more details.
MORE INFO… Banshees should be spawning 2 every 3 hours for a max of 4 in your town at once. So if you are not seeing them at this rate (you have to have Ghostbuster Quagmire to start to clear them and have them regenerate), please contact TinyCo.
UPDATE BUNNY: Sorry for the delay, was hurrying to get back to a signal so I could pass this on. We have already reported the issues with Predator not leveling up, Grey ghosts not droppin vials, and Poltergeists not counting that are impacting players. Will update when we get anymore info on it. Our hopes is they can locate and fix issues soon. They are working on it.

How do I see Phase 2 of the Halloween event?
You will need to upgrade your portal to the Poltergeist Portal in order to access Phase 2 of Ghostbusters: Quahog’s Halloween. Upgrading will require at least Fright Level 2.
What triggers the Ghostbusters Challenge 2?
When you upgrade your portal to the Poltergeist Portal, this will trigger “Ghostbuster Challenge 2: We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Latchers.” This will require you to defeat 8 Poltergeist Latchers in 3 days to win the Ghostbuster Lockers.
What are the Poltergeists attached to my buildings?
When you upgrade your portal to the Poltergeist Portal, this will introduce a new ghostly creature into your town. Poltergeists will haunt Quahog’s buildings, making them too frightening to enter. Any character currently in the building will be trapped until the Poltergeist is cleared or moves to another building.
How do I clear the Poltergeists?
Tap on the building with the attached Poltergeist to clear it. You will need to use Ghost Traps to capture the Poltergeists. Ghost Traps take 6 hours to recharge, and you can get traps from Diane Simmons or the shop to instantly recharge.
Clearing a Poltergeist will reward Spirit Vials, XP and a chance for Poltergeist Talons and Colander Helmets.
What is the Poltergeists’ spawn rate?
A Poltergeist will spawn every 2.5 hours for a maximum of 3 in your town at a time. After 6 hours, the Poltergeist will move to a different building.
How do I unlock Ghostbuster Quagmire?
Ghostbuster Quagmire is available after you upgrade your portal to the Poltergeist Portal.
To unlock this costume, you will need the following items:
1,000 Spirit Vials
10 Ghost Condoms (rare) from Lois, Bonnie, Chris and the Goth Nightclub
10 Colander Helmets (rare) from Poltergeists, Ghostbusters HQ and Kamikaze Plane
15 PKE Meters (uncommon) from Mort, Quagmire, Bruce and Airplane Graveyard
If you unlock him, Ghostbuster Quagmire is yours to keep in the game permanently. You will have until the end of the entire Halloween event to unlock him, otherwise he will disappear from your game.
How do I get Banshee Tears?
In order to clear the Banshees and earn Banshee Tears, you will need to have the Ghostbuster Quagmire costume completed. Once complete, tap on the Banshees to clear them or start Quagmire’s action for “Zap Banshee” for your chance to collect Banshee Tears. You can also earn Banshee Tears from the Quahog Cannery and the Banshee Fountain.
How do I get the Predator?
The Predator will be available in the shop for 250 clams. He will zap Banshees and drop batteries to recharge the Ghost Traps.

Week 2 Challenge:
Week 2 Challenge Involves Trapping Poltergeists:
The challenge will start early in the questline, so be ready. You have 3 days to trap 8 Poltergeist and win the lockers. Once you’ve completed the challenge the lockers can be found in your inventory.
New Ghosts to Defeat:
Banshee- Ghostbuster Quagmire (or Predator) will clear them. They’ll drop Banshee tears. They come from the Portal.
Poltergeist- They’ll latch onto buildings and take them over (similar to Latcher Stewie). You’ll need Traps to defeat them. They drop Poltergeist Talons.

Banshee Tears- Get from Clearing Banshees or from Various Buildings.
Talons- Get from Clearing Poltergeist or from Various Buildings.
Both items are needed to craft various items in the Cauldron…

As mentioned above…Poltergeists are now latchers for buildings in Quahog. You’ll need traps to clear them. When they’ve taken over a building they’ll look like this:
To clear it tap on it and and if you have a trap available (they recharge every 6hrs). You can also earn traps from Diane and Predator. They’re also available for purchase with clams.

I have cleared the first 2 banshees with the predator and then this morning i had 2 more respawn.have i just been lucky cause i dont have ghostbuster quagmire unlocket yet.or have they changed the spawn rate.

I have an issue with the Slutty Meg costume. I unlocked it before they pushed the fix for the poltergeists, and before the quest line for Meg that requires that you unlock the costume. Now, I’m on that quest line, and one of my tasks is to unlock the Slutty Meg costume… But it shows that it’s still locked, and I can’t unlock it… Even though I had unlocked it previously. Any ideas?

I would try a force close and/or restart device to see if it helps trigger it. Then tap on the task in the task menu bar again and see if it helps. Even try to go to Al’s and tap on her costume there too to see if it triggers it. Outside that, let them know if still same issue.

The lock on slutty Meg makes sense because once you have brewed her you shouldn’t want to attempt to brew that again. It might have caused a game error or players would accidentally brew it again and waste their items. It looks to me like the programmers did it to prevent any mishaps which probably would have lead to many many unnecessary tickets to tinyco.

I managed to finish off the poltergeist quest by using Bluestacks. Clearing them didn’t count on my iPad or Android phone, but no problems through Bluestacks.

1 thing I dot like about predator is Peter keeps making me send predator to do 8 hour traps whenever there’s a latcher. It sucks bc I was planning for the predator to do a 1 hour task while I commute to work and then the 8 hour task while I’m at work… But Peter keeps saying there’s a latcher and I can’t send this character that I bought with clams to do any other tasks. Ugh

I purchased Predator to be able to get banshees, and was a bit annoyed when I read here that they would not respawn until gb Quagmire was unlocked. So I just continued the Predator questline while waiting. But now I suddenly have 4 banshees in my town! No gb Quagmire yet. So the banshees ARE spawning! Quick TinyCo fix? 😉

Just make sure you are actually highlighted and tapped on him so the proper amounts that you need to collect are earned. If they are not, then you may brew the wrong item or be looking at the incorrect counts.

Do you need to manually upgrade the portal or is it done automatically if you have enough FP for level 2? I ask because I am on level and nearly on level 3. My portal says it is the poltergeist portal, yet ‘we don’t need no stinkin latchers’ has not begun?? I really don’t understand? I even have 12 ghost trap things, collected but no poltergeist latchers are in my town and no new challenge??

If you tap on the portal, you should see the animation turning it into the new one. If the number 3 is above it and it is a purpley color…then it is upgraded and you just need to follow the questline to start the launch of the new items.

I have same problem. The first quest for not afraid of ghosts is complete, the second quest has not triggered. I’ve sent info to tiny co. Their FAQ says completing first quest and updating portal will trigger second quest. I’ve done both but no second quest.

Question: anyone else still having problems with mayor west and the Cologne factory? I finally got the fix and was able to get enough stuff to achieve the goal. Asked me to do it again. But once I did. The factory disappeared. I looked in the invatory but nothing!

I was debating to hold off on slutty Meg as Mr weed needs loads of jars but as Meg has a task that drops more jars I think gettin her first would benefit in the long run ( just a guess as her quest popped up first.

hi bunny and alissa! i purchased the clam/spirit vials offer, i think it was like “buy any $9.99 of clams or HIGHER and recieve 3,000 spirit vials” or something like that. i do remember seeing that it would be availiable for 3 days only because it did have a timer on it?!,…,SOOOOO, i bought the 600 clams for $19.99, but did not recieve the 3,000 spirit vials. i just now sent TinyCo a ticket, hoping they can still give me them, but was just wondering if its a KNOWN GLITCH yet and/or if anybody else has this problem???…OR if that even was an actual offer and i’m just wishful thinking and misread it lol 🙂 ALSO

I have a question concerning banshees, do they only start spawning after unlocking Quagmire Ghostbuster costume? :S For me not yet one spawned since upgrading the portal even though Predator could hunt them. :S I even stopped zapping Terror Hounds in hopes of better chance for them to spawn but still nothing. 😦

Is this normal? I’ve been trying for Psychic Cards nonstop and have only gotten 2 total since the event started. At this rate, I won’t be able to unlock Ghostbuster Peter before Diane Simmons goes away. It’s extremely frustrating when I play religiously (assigning a new task as soon as the old task is done), and end up with nothing. This happens all the time, but come on; I should at least get a chance to earn some of the characters/prizes some of the times.

We had an amazing time last night. It was such a delight to meet the creators of the game and learn how each person at TinyCo plays such an integral part in the making of the game – we loved speaking with all of them. Everyone at TinyCo is so passionate about what they do – it’s no wonder Family Guy Quest for Stuff is so successful. They are wonderful people. You can see they really love what they do and it shows in their game.
We were thrilled to meet Alissa and Bunny of Family Guy Addicts. We finally got to put faces to those avatars. Both Alissa and Bunny are amazing. They are fun to hang with (I knew they would be) and they wow you with their knowledge of the game.

It was amazing getting to talk face to face with people. We thoroughly enjoyed it all and are still in AWE. I’m so glad you guys got to go home some some awesome goodies. Apparenlty TinyCo likes to spoil people as much as we do. LOL 😉

How do I upgrade to the Poltergeist Portal? I’m on fright level 2, and I have Ghostbuster Peter (he’s currently clearing 6 out of the 12 terror dogs in 3 days). I haven’t seen any Poltergeists yet, so I’m not sure if I’m on the right level yet or not. Also, how do I get Ghost Traps?

Have you been able to upgrade now? The traps come from Diane or they reset every 6 hours. Just keep following the questline and you will get to it. 😉
