Hello There Clammers!
A few in game changes just happened to our Tiny Quahogs…
TinyCo has made some changes to the Trick-or-Treater requirements and a new character has joined Quahog! Let’s take a look at the new changes shall we?
First up…the number of required Trick-or-Treaters has dropped from 200 to 150….
Changes to Stink Bomb Tasks:
A few changes have been made to tasks as well…the previous 8hr task has now been reduced to 4hrs. Here’s a list of who can now earn Stink Bombs:
Bonnie– Make Stink Bombs, 4hrs
Pink Brian- Pretty in Pink, 4hrs
Bruce- Make Stink Bombs, 4hrs
Chris- Make Stink Bombs, 4hrs
Jake- Make Stink Bombs, 4hrs
Slutty Cat Meg- Punch-Drunk Dance, 4hrs
Mort- Make Stink Bombs, 4hrs
New character…Alien also has a 4hr task to earn them!
So they shortened the task time for those that were previously 8hrs…AND they added a Stink Bomb task for Bruce.

New Questline:
A Town Perseveres…we’ll have a walkthrough on this coming up. BUT Lois starts this, and wants you to build the Brookfield Insane Asylum.
New Premium Character:
As many of you guessed was coming….Alien has arrived in Quahog! It’ll cost you 200 Clams (and comes with an egg).
Alien’s questline is called Man’s Best Friend and everyone will get this. Your first task is to build Nostromo, and it’s kicked off my Lois.
Also, if you purchase predator during the questline you’ll earn 12 free smoke bombs 🙂

Regarding the Alien, that’s not actually *her* egg, only the queen lays eggs, and (s)he isn’t a queen… just to be pedantic :-p

Oh man. Really? Didn’t we already geek flame on this one? Lol. Does it really matter? A queen would have laid it…so it is HERS. Just like people came from their mom. 😛
It can be HIS in the sense he hatched from it so it was his egg in that regard. So BOTH are right. 😛

When you buy Alien it’s what you have to place to get it. You sure it’s not already in your town? (You have to place it to unlock Alien)

Actually the alien was invisible at first. .it’s probably some where. .my town is a mess lol…until I start putting everything in inventory. .I’ll never find it

Hey guys,I’m a premium player but after reading the blog and all the people having trouble or upset over the stink bombs and trick or treaters.I completed the mission with no clams just with what I got from my residents.
So I know it’s very possible to do this.So hang in there you can do it!

I am mad!!!! The stink bombs I collected wasn’t going into my total count….I lost out on 5 stink bombs…I reported it to tiny co but as usual no response…..I lost that challenge by 4 kids!! Inset alarms and everything to make sure I would make it. Nope the glitch messed it all up for me…now I don’t have a chance at the ghostbusters car…I’m so sad…I know its only a game but I’m a freebie player and I work hard at this game to try and get everything I can….I’m bummed!!

something interesting happened to me….while many were complaining how little bombs they’d receive for the jobs. i was constantly getting 4-5 every time since they changed it to 4 hours. so earlier today i reached the goal thanks to that and now i’ve sent people on bomb jobs twice and 0 bombs. its like “they” know i don’t need em anymore….eeeerie. 😛

I thought it was still going to be impossible to get 150 kids in the time limit so I decided to not worry about it. I was trying to tell myself that it was only a car for an end prize, not a character. BUT, suddenly more kids were popping up at once and I started getting 10 or 12 per stink bomb! I was able to get 150! Such a great surprise! So, for anyone discouraged, don’t give up 🙂

My timer for this quest just ended and I was 24 short, so no portal for me. I played every four hours except while sleeping and would only get 3 stink bombs for every 7 four hour task that could produce one. I would hit 2-6 each time but the update came after I was already a day into the quest. It just frustrated me because I’ve never missed a timed event before and always thought that it was always doable until this point. I even rushed some tasks with less than two hours left to go and didn’t get a single bomb. What a waste of precious clams, especially since I’m a freemium player. Very disappointed with this event overall. And I know a lot of people are saying to stop complaining, and that TinyCo is great for listening and responding, but that doesn’t mean that venting isn’t going to happen in the what the hell section, that’s what it’s there for.

I too have been experiencing the mysterious stink bomb fluctuating count. I got the predator so had 12 there and then with all the characters dropping every 4 hours, I am all the sudden out of bombs? And with conservative use of them? Did you notice the difference in count when it shows how many you have, then you bring up the slingshot and it is a different number?

I got 105 out of 150 kids stinked bomb and only 12 hours left. I don’t think I can make it in time. 😦

Why not? I was just at 85 this morning. I just got the portal. This is in my test game. District 5. FP Level 3. Limited characters. I used the maze.

I have a question concerning the fright levels. I just levelled up from 6 to 7. In the game it said something about getting extra spirit vials when going from level 6 to 7 but unsure of which ghosty you get them from. Any ideas? Any chance of getting a breakdown of what each fright level gives you and the amount of points needed to get to each level. Thanks

As you complete the Fiscal Fright Dialog for each level, you get a reward at the end of it of clams and vials. As far as earning. It does increase the spawns, therefore also giving you more items.

I hit 0 Trick or treaters with my last bomb by pressing the button on accident, I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. So I’m 11 short with less than 2 hrs time and no bombs, all of the bombs tasks need 3 hours left.

Thats when you try to decide if its worth the clams to speed up the tasks or buy one outright.

Still like 80 short with 2 hours left. Won’t craft another round in time. This really Sucks! Give us an extra day tinyco!

Two hours and 2 bombs left and I need 14 Trick or treaters… wasted 9 clams speeding up tasks only to not get stinks bombs from any of them. So I will need 7 or more each of the bombs… If I get any less I’d have wasted time/effort and clams only to ultimately fail right before the finish line. Also only have 4 clams left

Clear out all the tasks in the side menu to make room for the new ones. See if that helps. 😉

I managed to clear the challenge without buying stink bombs. Didn’t clear the roads nor build a maze either. All I did was play the game every four hours without fail. Just wanted to pass this along after reading some negative comments here.

I’m with you on this one. I tried to build a maze (and apparently sucked at it because my little tykes were still blindly popping up all over the place) but decided that I didn’t want to change the way I played the game and deleted it. I never tore my town apart for an event and don’t want to start to now. Instead I just made sure to get to my phone every four hours on the dot (with the exception of nighttime, I will not be woken up damn it :-)). And it worked fine with time to spare . So I don’t get why people are still complaining even after TinyCo dropped the amount of tots needed. I have said it before; if you are not willing to spend money (I don’t) or are unwilling to follow a tight schedule, you will have to accept missing out on some items. Part of a game is winning AND losing. There, I vented. Sorry!

Hi Iris! Totally agree with you. Can’t please everyone. I went extreme with this challenge by having my alarm go off every 4 hours. Now that the challenge is done, I can sleep well again.

Sadly, the update came too late to help me. I’m going to keep trying in the hopes that maybe it’ll be extended for a few days, but I am at less than half the number I need. I finally gave in and demolished part of my town in the hopes of creating a maze, but it doesn’t seem to have helped… Oh well. I’ll keep trying. 16 hours left for me, maybe I’ll get lucky!

Try the maze surrounding the sidewalk and leave an entrance and exit. They spawn both portal and sidewalks now. I removed all mine but one patch.

I actually did that! Kept my town structure but removed all the sidewalks, and only kept sidewalks/street inside my maze. Unfortunately, it still didn’t help. My timer ended an hour ago, and I was still nearly 50 kids short. I had a lot of bad luck with the item drops and zero luck with the maze. I’m not bitter, but I was really looking forward to the ghostbusters car. If they’ll let me spend clams directly to buy Zool’s Portal and have that count for the challenge, I would probably spend it. I’ve been saving up and have around 150. I was going to use for the Alien and/or Predator, but I think I’d rather use it to get some sweet, sweet Ecto-1 action.

Yup the update came way too late for me too. On top of my bomb spawn rates being atrocious, I just found out now these things spawn on the sidewalks. Awesome…..

Is the clown statue meant to be small because when I’m about to place it it looks average size but when I go off decoration mode it shrinks by quite a bit

Anyone else notice/have stink bombs not being added?
This morning i had 6 won but 0 added. I did a restart and got credit for 5.
A few mins ago i saw at least 3 but 0 added even after 2 restarts.

Along those lines: I’ve noticed once or twice stink bombs didn’t drop with character tasks but when I force closed the app hours later, there were suddenly two bombs in storage instead of zero.

Any ideas as to why my ‘use the restroom’ task is locked for Brian? I can’t progress in my ‘mans best friend part 3′ quest …. Usually when something is locked it tells you what is required to unlock it, and this task just says plain ol’ locked 😦

Hi, is anyone having the same problem… I’m not getting to use all my Halloween stink bombs – if I collect a multiple amount when opening the game I can only use one. Then, the main game will show the amount I should have in the quantity at the bottom of the screen but when I open the catapult it says I have 0 and only have the option to buy, not fire. When I reload the game the quantity on the main screen then shows as 0.
