Jason will ALWAYS drop all 3 Rockets to defeat Stay Puft! This is a great investment if you’re thinking about adding a premium character from the event to your game. Personally…I hate Halloween. I hate scary movies. I didn’t buy Alien. I didn’t buy Predator. (this is in my main A game…where I play for me, not info) However…I will most likely buy Jason. And I’ll buy him because he makes sense from a game standpoint.

Like Jelly-O Shots and Giant Stewie before…you’ll need to collect items to defeat Stay Puft! Collect Rockets from character tasks to defeat him. The more you do it in a row the more Spirit Vials you’ll earn!
To defeat him you’ll need rockets. You can earn rockets from the following characters:

Ghostbuster Peter:
Invent Anti-Ghost Weapons- drops 
(This task looks to go when the quest completes, so use it while you can. We are waiting verification back on this. Per TinyCo, this task and Quagmire’s are now here to stay.)
Jerome:

Find S’more Casing Bits- drops
Bruce:
Find S’more Fillings- drops
Find S’more Melty Bits- drops

The BIGGEST difference…is now there’s a 1 hr wait in between defeats of Stay Puft! So remember..it won’t quickly reset..you’ll have to wait a FULL hour before you can get him again.

Here’s what you’ll have to do:
For this challenge you’ll have to defeat Stay Puft Man up to 10 times….
This quest will not trigger until you’ve completed Trouble in Paradise Part 2. Then Part 3 will trigger…BUT the challenge will simultaneously trigger with part 3. So if you don’t want to start the challenge do not complete part 2 until you’re ready.
And that completes the rundown for Phase 4!

I noticed you need 10 marshmallow goop not 10 roasts of Stay Puft. I’m hoping this means you get more than one goop per roast on the higher levels. Has anyone gotten to higher levels to say how much goop drops.
I’m building up s’mores rockets before moving to part 3. Anyone know how many rockets are needed for each level of Stay Puft?

It depends on the drops. It can take up to 10 times, but if you get doubles…so much faster. More detailed post coming later. 😉

Trying to restock rockets is a chore! I have my rocket characters dedicated to it but not all task completions give rockets.
Also when you click on Stay Puft there is a total count of how many needed, not a split of which kind.

Does anyone know the number of rockets required for each level of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (i.e. how many rockets are required to defeat him at 1x, 2x, 5x, 12x, 25x and beyond?)

Stupid question, but are we 100% sure Stay Puft actually has to be defeated 10 times? Reason I ask is…
The stay puft meter says “Earn a spirit vial AND goop bonus” … and the little meter shows a little vial and goop picture that says 2x, 5x and so on… Which made me presume… you’d earn one 1x Goop for the first defeat. 2x Goop for the second. And so on, up to 25x Goop per kill for the final tier. Is that the case? Or do you only get 1 Goop per kill period?
Because the challenge itself is actually “Earn 10 goop” not “Defeat Stay Puft 10 times” … so if the bonus stacks on Goop, then the challenge is easily doable.

So this challenge looks way more feasible eh? 4/5 free characters @ 2hr tasks makes a possibility of 48/60 rockets a day? You only need to hit puft 3/4 times a day.. Hopefully this math works or me/everyone… Bunny do u agree any strategies?

Well I don’t plan to lose sleep over it, so decidedly less than 48 a day. Closer to 30 for my schedule.
But i’m gonna just wait a few days and not let that silly timer bother me. Gonna let it run out at least once probably twice before I start it up and have plenty of Rockets to roll right through the challenge!
Also whatever they did to break the trick or treater spawn rate they must have fixed it (else it was just my stupid iphone, hahah) and I already have a the juice boxes I need for Cleveland. gonna end up waiting on the boots, I just know it, hahaha

Is Stay Puft resetting for an hour? If so, he is in a way “out of the game”, so your characters won’t show items for something not in the game. Once he pops back up after and hour, you will see the icons again. So send them on the task BEFORE you take a run at Stay Puft.
If he is not resetting and they disappear, let TinyCo know.

Yeah he was resetting. I also collected when he wasn’t there n didn’t get any rockets from me one! So do not hit the check mArk for the chars if stay puffy is resetting cuz the rockets won’t drop!

I totally agree. Alien and predator don’t really associate Halloween for me as much as Jason and Freddy do. I bought Jason cause he’s going to be a great investment like Nathan Fillion was during comic-con. And cause he’s an awesomely legendary character. I’ll most likely get Freddie too.

Glad the buildings are freemium since I had to buy Cleveland 🙂 but do you think they’re necessary? I’m halfway down the road to Mr. Weed and don’t want to have to spend a bunch of vials if you think it’s just as viable to get the stuff without the “guaranteed” drops. I’d love to have more stuff in town, just don’t know how wise it is when I have to spend for Cleveland and Vampire Duck Stewie also…

I just updated my game and it is acting as if nothing has happened. Every time I tap on my portal it says update game to unlock next phase but I have already updated it and the App Store just says open not update. Help?

Just got finished the Week 4 challenge. I too started roasting Stay Puff before starting the challenge hoping the marshmallows counted towards the challenge. The good thing is if you started roasting him before the challenge your multiplier will keep going up ” it doeskin reset ” So I started the challenge and finished it in one roast at the 25X multiplier.

Some people have hundreds/thousands of clams from exploits. They use clams to rush through new content literally the moment it’s released.

I’m holding off starting the challenge to build up my supply of rockets. So I was wondering: do you get one marshmellow goop each time you defeat stay puft, or are the number of marshmellows multiplied by your level? Is that what you mean by finishing the challenge all at once at the 25x level, that you earned 25 marshmellows? Or just that you’d been roasting and saved up marshmellows so they counted toward the challenge when the countdown timer triggered?

I hate this stupid challenge. How does tinyco expect us to defeat him in 3 days when every time u defeat him u need more rockets. This is a dumb challenge and I refuse to give tinyco my money. See, This is what many people would say if They didn’t read this site and get the info from bunny and Alissa and then go crazy and rush the game, then go off and say how suck and impossible tinyco has made this challenge. I swear, if after all that u went through with Dianne and Francis and all the other challenge and u still make that same mistake by rushing ahead instead of coming here first then u have no to blame but urself and don’t go crying about it either.

I have only been playing the game since like the tail end of the Comic Con event so I don’t have everything or all the characters yet. I have been trying to wait before I open quests before I read what’s up here first. But my counter for the Stay Puft is activated and he is counting down was this something that I accidently did on my own or is this normal for it to just start when the portal opened. I can’t see even if I play non stop that I will be able to fry him in the alloted time. If I fail to roast him, will this knock me out of getting the Ecto-1? Or any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Countdown is just his standard timer. You hit him over n over before the timer gets to zero to get lots of extra vial. More info coming. No worries 🙂

You DO NOT need to defeat Stay Puft 10 times to complete the challenge. You need to jars of Goop and the multiplier counts not only toward spirit vials, but ALSO Goop. I just got the 2x multiplier and he dropped two Goop instead of one.

I just got a quest for Jason, when I clicked on the ! Above Jason it went into the dialog screen and he was talking with Chris, however for some reason the dialog was invisible so I don’t know what was said, I know what I have to do for Pt 1, but only missed out on what they both said, any chance you can tell me what Chris and Jason said?

Ok cool. And is there any way you can start including dialog from the characters, in addition to the tasks that they have to perform? Sometimes I click too fast through a quest dialog on accident and there is nowhere on the internet to find out what they said. It’s easy with Tapped Out… Quest For Stuff, not so much. I don’t know if anybody else has suggested this, but i personally suggested this to TinyCO and i would be thankful if all you others would do the same cuz there’s strength in numbers 😀 maybe they’ll be convinced.
Last event, they had Clam rewards for collecting George Takei, Nathan Fillion, and Bryan Cranston. It was 100 clams, if i remember correctly. 100 clams rewarded for spending 750 clams.
Maybe for this event, they should reward at least some amount for collecting Predator & Alien or Jason and (I HOPE) Freddy.
Maybe a combination of Weed, Predator, & Alien, or something alike.
Please suggest it to them so maybe we can get Something back for spending about 800 (if we wanna have them all).

So you’ve basically answered all my questions except what happens with the multiplier, which I know you ladies are working diligently to get an answer to. Also it says the multiplier applies to marshmallow goop too. Does that mean you get 1,2,5,12 & then 25? If so, this week’s challenge should be fairly easy. Regardless, I probably won’t roast a marshmallow man until at least Saturday or Sunday.

Does the puft timer reset to 24h after each defeat, giving you 24 hours to get to the next multiplier? Eventually the rocket cost will be so high you have to stand down for 24 hours before he resets, right?
I had to clam through to get Super hero lois last time, as I was a new player. Being in from day 0 on this one has made the progression much smoother, I’ve only used clams for the premium characters thus far.

Does anyone know how many rockets are needed for each tier? Since there are 5 levels, that would be minus 4 hours in a day already just to reach the cap. Doing the math with the time restrictions, I think best way would be 3-3-4 or 4-4-2. But rocket wise, first one might be optimal. The part that this thing has to be done on the dot on the hour it respawns will mess a lot of people up. Most people don’t have the luxury of being able to check every hour. On previous events, I was storing up and using them when I had the time. Managing it after the time limit may be ok, but during those 3 days, it would be hectic.

Thanks for your effort to provide information. I’m a new player (just started 2 days after the Halloween event). Being a fan of all things Halloween I couldn’t resist. Ghostbusters, Alien, and Predator..yes please. I bought things like Cleveland to stay caught up.. why not spend cash if you enjoy something.. Plus I have a new puppy that has been getting me up at 4-5AM so it gives me some time to send the gang back out on quests to maximize my gains. Thanks again.

I managed to get Jason. He popped up to purchase. Didn’t hesitate. Also I believe his 4 hour task to get s’mores will drop 1 of each like Brian Cranston in comic con. If this is true it’s a way better deal for 200 clams then the 500 price tag on BC. LOVE THIS EVENT!!!! LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! PLEASE BRING OUT FREDDY NEXT WEEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!!!

I just noticed the same thing. Oddly enough, just today I was saying to myself it would be nice I we could hide characters we didn’t need. I have almost 850K in coins and most of my characters are maxed out on levels, so I really don’t need to keep sending them on tasks if they aren’t going to be helping in events or quest lines.

As always awesome info Ladies. Using it to decide what will be the first two buildings I start with first. On a down note I picked up 10$ of clams last night in anticipation of Jason…and then they do a clam deal lol. (Sent an in game message explaining situation politely). Either way this has been an awesome event once again. On a side note do you remember after the Full Moon event they had a prize box for coins? Bring it up because it was a cool way to utilize built up coins from that event where as they did not do it after comicon and am pretty sure that is why I am way past 1.3 million now. Any word if they may bring one back after this event?

Most of what we see now is a prize box for event currency, but it is anyone’s guess what surprises they got in store. 😉

Have the update, everything seems to be there, except no new questlines have triggered.
reading the comments it seems “Trouble in Paradise” ( I believe) should have started?
Wondering if that’s the case, and if so, if anyone else is having that issue and if there’s anything I can do to remedy the situation.

Damn missed the Jason glitch. Gonna wait a full 24 hours before starting to attack Stay Puft and build up a decent supply of rockets. Also have already managed to get 3 boots and 7 juice boxes for Cleveland. Gonna hold off buying anything. Mr. Weed is still the most expensive vial wise so gonna get him. Need just over 7500 more vials. Will be easy to get all the other stuff done after beating Stay Puft a few times.

i experienced a Jason glitch….got the character and on his first quest finding weapons, the two dialogue balloons for him and Chris were empty. so i have no clue what they said…..can anyone fill me in on the dialogue? lol

So, is Mr. Vorhees supposed to be in this update? If he is, then when will he be slashing his way into Quahog? I heard he appeared, then was pulled out. I wanna hang out with my buddy Jason!

He was here…the Bunny found out said “EEEEEEEEEEE” grabbed him and locked him in the basement with her. I don’t think Jason stands a chance… 😉
My guess is we might see him tomorrow or Saturday..like Alien.

Hey guys, just wanted to be clear of something….if I leave Peter in the ghostbuster building and don’t click on his check mark so I don’t trigger the week 4 challenge, are we positive any marshmallow hoops I make BEFORE the challenge will count IN the challenge? Once again, thanks for all ur help!!

No don’t collect them yet…just earn the rockets to defeat Stay Puft. Basically earn 30 or so of each color and then start the week 4 challenge. At that time (once the challenge is stared) then you can start defeating him. If you do it before it won’t count for the challenge.
