In the words of Bruce, “OH NOOOOOOOOOO!!!”
The smooshy fluffy white n puffy jolly ole Stay Puft Guy has made his way into our games, but now what? Just what on earth do we do with him? How do we use him in our games?
Well here is the basic rundown of just how you can toast this Giant Marshmallow. Maybe get a lil treat out of it too. Let’s get started.
HOW DO I GET ROCKETS?
In order to “defeat” him, you need to collect rockets from various Characters in the game. It is a very good idea to stock up on a good amount of each color before you start your attack. The more hits, the better the payout. As you can see, the possible color you will get will vary on task and Character. So far, only Jason guarantees at least one of each 3 Colors. Payouts are ALWAYS.
Now with the new update, you will also be able to find rockets in the New Halloween House Decorations.

Swanson Halloween Decorations: One Red Gasoline Rocket every 12 hrs.

Griffin Halloween Decorations: One Blue Graham Cracker Rocket every 12 hrs.
Quagmire’s Halloween Decorations: One Purple Chocolate Rocket every 24 hrs.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT ROCKETS I NEED?
If you tap on Stay Puft, the pop up for his info will show on the screen. In the lower middle section, you will see just how many and what kind of Rockets will be required for the current Defeat. This will change and vary per player on the amount and the Rocket Type.
You will also see along the Left side how many of each Rocket you have earned. This will help you keep track of how many total you have acquired so far if you want to pile a lot to try to hit the 25X and beyond Multiplier.
These were the Rocket requirements for my game. Yours may vary.
| Multiplier | Rockets Needed |
| 1X | 3 |
| 2X | 7 |
| 5X | 13 |
| 12X | 20 |
| 25X | 30 |
HOW DO I KNOW MY PAYOUT?
Your payout will depend on where you are on your Multipliers and what Rocket you currently are using to defeat him. The Multiplier will be listed along the Right hand side. The S’mores cookie will show your current Level you are at.
The Base Award is dependent on what Rocket you are being asked to attack him with. You can see the Breakdown of the 3 Rockets and what they pay on the Right hand side in Stay Puft’s Body Shadow. You can verify the Rocket Type in the “You Need” area in the Lower Middle. You can also see what Base Reward you are currently on in the Upper Middle where it says “Base Reward”.
So again, that is BASE REWARD x CURRENT MULTIPLIER = TOTAL SPIRIT VIALS PAID OUT.
To give you an idea of what that means, here is a chart of what you could win on each level with each Rocket.
WHAT ABOUT THE WEEKLY CHALLENGE?
The payouts on the Marshmallow Goop were all over. I am going to have to play around with it a bit more to get exacts. Again, gotta wait an hour on each one. Lol.
UPDATE:
So I wanted to test this out a few times just to make sure. Here are our results for Marshmallow Goop Payouts.
| Multiplier | Marshmallow Goop |
| 1X | 1 |
| 2X | 2 |
| 5X | 5 |
| 12X | 12 |
| 25X | 25 |
As you can see, it will only take 4 hits in a row on Stay Puft to meet your Challenge Goal. Or…3 times, a 24 hour reset, and then 2 more times. It all depends on what YOU want to do and how many Rockets YOU collect. You only need 10 Marshmallow Goop Total to meet this weeks Challenge. It really should go quick if you have some rockets stored up.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I HAVE ENOUGH ROCKETS?
If you have collected enough Rockets to Attack Stay Puft, the options to “ROAST HIM” will appear at the Lower Middle. Just tap on it.
A cut screen will pop up showing Stay Puft having a Rocket dropped on him by the WWII Dive Bomber, Flames burst up all over him and start to melt him, he spits out fire, then disappear in a puff.
WHAT IS WITH THE 1 HOUR TIMER?
When you are done defeating Stay Puft, he will “run away”. He will NOT return for an hour. You can check to see how much time is left til his return by tapping on the now empty space where he once was.
The pop up screen will now open and show you how much longer you need to wait. Just to make sure you got it…it even says so… “GOT IT!”
You will also know he is back when you see him over there yelling and hollering at you again. Lol.
WHERE DID MY ROCKET TASKS GO?
SIDE NOTE: While Stay Puft is “hiding” your game may notice he is gone and therefor no more tasks for him needed. What does this mean? If your tasks ri earn Rockets “vanish”, it may because he is in that 1 hour reset and not really “in the game”. My suggestion is to make sure you reset ALL characters on their Rocket seeking tasks BEFORE you Defeat him. Also do NOT tap on the tasks to earn Rockets while he is “out of the game” during that hour or you may not get ANY Rockets at all for a payout from the Characters, as again…the game does not recognize he is there. (We saw this in every past event.) Now they may go and fix this. They have before. Just double check if this is YOUR cause. Report it if you do see it please.
WHAT IS WITH THE 24 HOUR TIMER?
As with previous events, the main “Bad Guy” needs to be destroyed. If you continually destroy him within a time frame, you can keep earning the highest amount over n over n over n over. You only have a set amount of time to be able to do this to keep your multiplier payout as high as you possibly can. That set amount is 24 hours. What does that mean? Well if you collect a lot of each of the 3 different color Rockets, you can continually “defeat” him over n over n over and that clock will keep resetting to 24 hours and not run out. Once you stop (or as soon as you defeat him) the timer will start to count down. If you do NOT “defeat” him in that 24 hour period, the clock will run down to Zero, reset, and you will have to start once again at the bottom multiplier.
So to be a lil more simplistic. You start out at a 1X Multiplier and continue to move up til you MAX out at 25X. If you keep “defeating” him, you can stay at the upper most 25X Multiplier and get a LOT of Vials paid out to you again and again. If you run out of Rockets and the timer hits Zero, then resets, you have to start all over again at 1X.
So plan your collection and attacks wisely to get the most out of your Rockets.
HOW DO I CHANGE THE ROCKETS STAY PUFT WANTS?
This is all done automatically. You never know what one you will get next. No one will. All you can do is try and hope it is what you have. A way to see if another option will be provided is to allow the 24 hour timer to run down and let Stay Puft reset. This may or may not change the color, but it is worth a try if you want to see what happens. Just know you will lose a day of Defeats or less depending on how much time is left.
There you have it. A bit more detailed idea of just what to do with this Giant Marshminkter (yup….that’s what I call em…wanna fight bout it? Lol.) Did this help you out? Give you more of an idea of what to do? Answer all your questions? Wanna go make S’mores now? Let me know below…I got the fire pit already going.
~Bunny

Don’t know if this has been posted previously but the best piece of advice I can give is to make the most of your 24 hrs, to keep your combo as high as possible. Got enough for the 25x multiplier with 16hrs to go? Rather than bombing his white behind straight away make the most of the remaining hrs to stockpile more ammo for next time. This way you have a higher chance of keeping that 25x multiplier going for longer. You’re effectively getting 40 hrs to prepare for the next bombing.

During comiccon, the math worked out that you got a better ROI by going to the fourth multiplier and letting it reset rather than going to the top, is that still the case? My napkin math is saying that the 30 for 25 marshmallow is obviously better than the 20 marshmallow for 43 rockets, but haven’t worked out the spirit bottle rate.

It all is in how YOU are getting those Rockets. If you are collecting a good mix to hit the targets, highest is best payout. If you struggle, then lower ones may fair better. It is all on the individuals game play. 🙂
LikeLike
I was thinking about this as well. With the Comiccon event, after the 25x streak, the required rockets (or whatever it was) to defeat stewie kept going up, making the payout per rocket much less and making it beneficial to let the 24hr timer reset once you hit 25x. Now, the required number of rockets stays the same (maxed at 30) so I think keeping the streak going will give you a greater overall payout than letting it reset and starting over. The spirit bottle rate will vary depending on what color rockets you need at each level.

The wife is gutted that she won’t get Ecto 1 as for some reason the weekly challenge popped up and started counting down before the task to bomb stay puff did. She been trying frantically to bomb him but the rockets she needs aren’t dropping and neither are the marshmallows (shes still at 0) and she only has 16 hours to go. I had to admit I’m not fairing much better I’m only on 2 mallows with a day and a have to go.

The wife is happy as she got the challenge completed with a hour to spare, i can only assume thater was a visual glitch or something that was making look like she wouldn’t complete it in time. I on the other hand completed the chalenge with plenty of timeas i was really lucky with the rockets needed to complet the streak all the way up to x25 🙂 roll on next week challenge and Ecto 1

I figured out a way around it. I just got to the confirmation screen of the set completion bonus, hard closed the app without tapping either option, and when I loaded the app back up, I had Ghostbuster Cleveland and the clam bonus. Not sure what kept making it crash, but my game is fine now.

In respect of “WHERE DID MY ROCKET TASKS GO?” they fixed it. Tasks are all up when Stay Puft recovers. But I don’t know if you get rockets when a task finishes when it he is gone. Testing it right now.

For the Stay Puft rocket challenge does anyone know if it always switches the rocket color for the next requirement. I’m just wondering because, for example, if it says I need 20 red rockets, will there be a possibility of asking for red rockets again on the next step of 30 rockets? I only have one day left on my timer and I don’t want to start attacking again to find out in the end that it can repeat the rocket color. Cuz I’m hurting for red rockets! I always get blue or purple, mostly. Thanks in advance

During comic-con, I got the same type of rocket type needed over and over and over an over, to the point where I had 100 of one type that never seemed to come up at the end. So far in the Halloween event, its been a different type each time to blast him. I’ve hit him 8 times so far (only spent 20 clams besides the cost to get Jason, which I recommend), and I havent gotten the same type of rocket consecutively. This is a small sample size, but hopefully it’s a deliberate improvement. So far, I’ve had 3 gasoline hits, 3 chocolate, and 2 graham cracker, but never the same kind back to back. Good luck!
P.S.- in the same stage in the comic-con event, it was cheaper clam-wise to hurry up Quagmire’s task to get rockets than it was for any other character. I dropped 100 clams on 50 rockets immediately by re-buying his task reward. So far, no character seems to have a cheaper “hurry up” cost, though Jason’s is the same as the others and you get all three. That came in handy when I needed 2 more red rockets to knock out the 12x level for the Power Station. So far, I’ve gotten all of the ghostbuster prizes using no clams with the helpful advice on this blog (especially for bombing the kids) and only spent a few clams today out of impatience. I still had 2 days to get 3 more marshmellows for the prize.

I did start the task before I started collecting the bombs, I know should have not been so keen to play and read the forum, but I got Jason and with the bonus bombs from him doing well just one Blue bomb to get for the final hit to complete the 3 day task with over a day to go so still happy, and should have it completed very soon. Not keen on the timed events, but have to admit been pretty lucky, especially with the colours not repeating, so all cushty 🙂

Make sure you do not have TOO many tasks in your menu taking up room and not letting new ones pop up. If you complete some and clear them out, new ones will arrive. You also have to make sure you finished Trouble in Paradise Part 2 to completion in order for it to trigger. That is usually completed by Peter’s task and the first attack. 😉

Rockets are dropping really well. Take people’s advice do not start attacking stay puff until you have 40+ of each rocket. I’m waiting till Monday before I hit him. I have already got over 20 of each rocket in a day and a half so not bad. I did get Jason and he has helped bump the totals up. My aim is to collect the maximum of 48 goop jars giving you enough to brew all the required items that need the jars. Finally had enough vials to buy mr. Weed. Now I have hardly any but again stay puff will give me more vials back. You girls rock at advice for this game. Wouldn’t have half as much cool stuff for this game if it wasn’t for you.

Personally I an gonna wait to burn him till I have 50 of each, enough if get same rockets for 4th and 5th. As long as I dont get the same rocket 3 times that included 4th and 5th I will be fine. used the same pattern on giant and demon stewie and was able to hit the top multiplier every time, even got lucky a few times and hit the top multiplier twice.
But, there is a week after this one, another portal. Everybody who purchased Jason should prepare yourself for the possibly likely bitter pill of smores rockets not being a part of the final week. they did it with bryan cranston, and I can totally see them doing the same to whip up sales for Freddie (or whoever it is)

I only managed to get 6 purple, 6 red and 4 blue rockets since I roasted the stay puft man the first time. I actually don’t see how I can complete the task within the 2 days that are left… I was only able to roast it once in 1 day!! Also as a general rule they should make it so that you never get the same color rockets for the next round.

How about if they just made it so you pick exactly what colour you want to come up next? That would make it nice and easy.

True but that would make it so easy that it would almost be like them giving the items without any work for it. Imagine you have 200 red ones, you would get a 25x multiplier multiple times with those red ones which would give you easy vials and brew items, and you would finish the quest too fast and thus, get bored until they release the new stuff next week.

is anyone else purposely not gonna roast the stay puft man in order to earn more rockets? I have already reached the 5x multiplier mark, collected 13/13 rockets, but do not think i will use them right away. I think the next two levels will double the required amount; 1x was 3 rockets, 2x was 6, and 5x is 13. Levels 12x and 25x could require 25 and 50 rockets respectively. Can anyone confirm this? I think using all the time you can to collect rockets is the key to beating the final level.

Try clearing out a bunch of tasks from your task menu. If it is too full of unfinished tasks, there won’t be room for new ones. So complete a few. 🙂

They changed it instead of ‘Rare’ to ‘Always’
Also you can get Re-Skins (constumes) for buildings now that help with Stay Puft and Ghostbuster Cleveland

Just been on FGQFS Facebook page, and Tiny Co has said that they’ve changed the drop rate on the S’More Rockets to drop Always.now!

The Goop drops aren’t ‘all over the place’. You get one as a standard but it the drop is affected by the multiplier meaning you will get 1, 2, 5, 12 or even 25 if you reach the highest level.
Makes that 10 in 3 days challenge much more achievable.

Lol. Thanks. I did appreciate the compliment. I was just saying…me…personally…I can get TOO carried away with the info at times. Alissa has to tell me to hold back. 😛

I see the Griffin, Quagmire and Swanson houses now have skins. Well, I guess it was only a matter of time before they did that, what with the land constraints and all.

Really? 100 clams to upgrade Quagmire’s house to its Halloween skin, but it takes a day and a half to reach its drop time? That means there is only ten more drops, at best, until the end of the event! All I can say is there better be a LOT of bombs dropping each time, and it better be guaranteed. Otherwise the clam price is a pure rip. You can do better than ten bombs for 100 clams just rushing the character tasks.

oo ooo got a question about these new house halloween skins?

So, something popped up in my game about decorating some houses to help with both Ghostbusters Cleveland and Stay Puft. I bought Joe’s and Quagmire’s house, but now I can’t find/buy the Griffin house decoration.
I know this is probably out of place, but it does deal with Stay Puft.

Hi there, just logged in and besides the options above there are three new Halloween House Paintings which could give you the rockets:
– Premium for Quagmires House (100 Clams, always drops purple rockets every 36 hours :/)
– Freemium for the House of the Swansons (100 Vials, Chance for dropping a red rocket every 12 hours)
– Brewing the Griffin House (3000 Vials, 10 Marshmallows, didn’t brew it yet so I have no info about drop and drop rate, but I suppose it is a chance for the blue rockets)
Thanks for your blog and of course for your efforts, came here every day to look and lurk for info 😉

I may have missed this somewhere, but my ghostbusters Peter and quagmire do not have the missions noted above to earn rockets. Is this unlocked with some quest or is there just something not right with my game?!
Thanks,

During the quest to defeat Stay Puft. You have to complete the questline and each one will come up at the point the are sent to use it. Peter is in part 2 of Trouble in Paradise.
