-An hour wait in-between hits to Stay Puft..really?! But I want my Goop NOW! What the hell?!
-Trick-or-treaters…yes I’m still complaining about them because I hate them. They’re all over my town and driving me crazy…What the hell?!
-And finally…I love Christmas. Like seriously love it. I start looking forward to it one Labor Day hits. BUT…Christmas stuff out already?! Even I think it’s too early! What the hell people?! Can we get through October first?!

Family Guy Addicts 
WTH neighbor. You feed your kids Pop Tarts and Hostess Donuts daily and give me a weird look because my kid had a slice of homemade apple pie for breakfast once?
WTH Mother Nature? After having everything from major thunderstorms to a blizzard on my son’s birthday we finally decide to have it at a local arcade and you give us a beautiful day for an outdoor party?
WTH Tinyco? You listen to your fans and fix a nearly impossible task quickly and fairly? Now what are we supposed to complain about?
WTH Plutonium? Care to drop once in a while? You taking lessons from the eyeballs or what? Am I missing a task to sell pinball machine parts to a group of Libyan terrorists or something?
WTH cold? It has been over two weeks now, one of which was my vacation. I think we need to see other people. It is not me, it’s you.
WTH cell phone? Thanks for somehow turning on your own alarm and then refusing to shut off. I did not really want that sleep.
WTH chicken? Why does everything taste like you?

I’ve also noticed the poltergeists always latch themselves to the exact same buildings even though they’re supposed to be random. One is always on the Ghostbuster Headquarters and the Cannery. Not really a what the hell because they move every four hours, just an annoyance.

I just want to rant about Tiny Co, how is possible that they announce that American Dad will be available after Halloween? I’ve been thinking about that since this event started and I’m not focused on halloween, I lost the weekly challenge last week, I’m sure that I will not be available to unlock Mr Weed and I will lose one of the costumes, I guess it will be the Witch Costume for Connie, but well, that happens when you announce that “the next game” will feature more requested things than the one that is currently available.
I almost bought Alien and Predator, and now I’m thinking about spending some clams on Jason and the upcoming Freddie, but I’m saving clams for anything American Dad! related, so yeah, screw you Tiny Co. I’m freemium, I’m not gonna give my money (because I don’t know how to buy things in the Google Market lol)
And other thing, Everybody hates Cleveland? They give them his own show, Seth abandons that show (as himself not voicing Tim and as Peter saying that they need to move on), they cancelled, they took like 1 entire season to bring Cleveland back and when they finally do, they make a roast of him (that was funny) and moving to the game, Cleveland is introduced as an Event character (It was the only thing that I did during the Moon Event) then He is back as premium character, they announce that he will be an important part of the Halloween event, he is the final ghostbuster to unlock, and he didn’t do anything to unlock his own costume, I guess his costume doesn’t even have a quest since I didn’t saw anything in the walkthrough post. Is Cleveland the most underated character? at least he is in the loading screen of the event. Poor Cleveland ;_;

WTH, The macabre mystery box – I’ve tried it a few times, mainly to get the vial factory and I keep getting useless crap (jars of things that I already have way too much of), and decorations that don’t do anything. Why can’t Tinyco just release this factory as a standalone purchase?

I’m have a slight problem. I haven’t unlocked Stewie but. Crafted vampire duck Stewie. I went to inventory and clicked create, and it “created” it. But, it applied on stewie’s locked form, is afrozen, and the icon in the brew doesn’t have over it and says not enough. Help!

What the hell! They need to change spirit vial earning and items. I have way too many talons and candy but not enought tears or spirit vials. They needto add a converter for items to vials. That would be great.

My 3 WTHs are:
– I don’t like the fact Quagmire can only get Banshee Tears if you’re a freeium player. You have to buy Cleveland or Predator to balance out the difference with Terror Dogs. Ducky Stewie might do it too, but I won’t have Stewie unlocked until after this event to know for sure. Also GB should have had the choice of what to capture not only one.
– I don’t like the fact only premium Celebs got Vial tasks. It blows that Ron Perlman, who is perfect for Halloween can’t help the Ghostbusters dressed as Hellboy.
– Cleveland is nowhere worth 400 Clams. He costs the price of 2 premium event characters. The price is clearly a money grab by TinyCo, because Cleveland is 150 Clams at the most.

Anyone else noticing that the Terror Dogs and Banshees are not coming very quick anymore? I have none at ll in my Quahog at the moment and the last few hours when I click on the portal is says ghosts are coming and it is not changing. Already sent a message to TinyCo about it.

If my counter on the marshmellow guy doesn’t reach the 25x part, is there any consequences other than restarting? Like I’m 7/10 for collecting the goop and to get the grid. Will that restart the whole thing? Kinda want the power grid to get the ecto car.

WTH! Why did I not get into this game earlier? I missed out on Kool-Aid Man and Comic Con and the other events. Hopefully they bring them back for new players to get. I did not want to get into this game since I was all ready playing tapped out which I only got into because of the Treehouse of Horror event. I only got into this because of the Halloween event. Halloween is my weakness, but now I missed out on so much content. Clams or not hope it comes back. Halloween was Tapped outs first event so I did not miss out on anything except a duff racer which they brought back eventually.

Yay it’s vent day, I mean what the hell.
Ok so first day of hunting and its pouring rain all day and I am stupid to be in it knowing that I will not see a deer. WTH to me and the weather again.
I am also lost on Mr. Weed, I am not even close to getting the vials and I do everything that gives me the most from tasks. I need to know the secret without spending real money.

I think this is a glitch, but when I selected the first ??? Portal item and opened info, the name Bunch Of Bats was displayed and the default C’mon! Text. If you can supply a email, i screenshoted it. If not, try to recreate it.

I read the one about the switchboard and aggree, the phone call from companies that amazes me here in the UK, not sure this also happens in the US is when they ring me, asking if I am me, then asking me questions to prove it is me? I say to them you rang me, and I know I am me, and if I am not me, why are you ringing me to talk to me. 😉

Lost my cat to cancer just before last Christmas and was pretty cut up about it, so know how upsetting it is, also lost my job after 14 years as they closed down, and a family tragedy, so had a pretty awfull Christmas, and could not rise to it, but life has to go on, and on a positive note now working full time back in the same profesion, although have to travel further to work, but looking forward to this Christmas as I normally go over the top and love the time of year, hoping some real good stuff for the game is on the way for Christmas, and maybe a free prezzie from Tiny 😉

Anyone else having trouble with Cleveland and his ghostbuster outfit causing the game to crash once it is unlocked? Once reloaded the purchase is reversed. Tried 4 times. Also contacted tiny co to no avail.

Bunny, Bunny, Bunny!!!! Not so much of a “what the hell”, but an overall “Thanks a Bunch”. I grew up without video games. I remember when Pac Man came out, but we never had video games at home except for the original Atari with that came with the paddle ball type game. I had a Huffy dirt bike and lots of trails, which was a lot more fun than paddle ball so the bike always won. By the time I was out on my own, too much time without them had passed so I never got into it. Fast forward many many moons. My kids have every game system known to man with tons of games of which again I never really got into. I’m good for about 5 minutes on the XBOX and want to do something else. I have an iPhone and have tried several games, but would always get bored with them and delete them usually on the same day. The Family Guy game is almost different. I like it, but had thought about deleting it several times. I do find it a great time and boredom killer. The only that stopped me was you and your blog. When I’ve gotten frustrated or sometimes even mad at it you are always available to help and I love reading your posts, especially the ones with a little dash of humor. You’ve made this game fun for me and I really appreciate the time you take to do all that you do. Thanks bunches Bunny!

Awwwww ***blush*** you’re very welcome. I’m a geeky Nerd Girl and gamer my entire life. I also had a huffy bike, but also my dirt bike racing, camping, hunting, fishing, and anything an adrenaline junkie could do. I got stories n scars. Lol.
I giggle at Family Guy and so this game makes me giggle. The writing alone is hilarious.
I love to laugh and enjoy life and try to make others giggle too. Even if it’s at me tripping up the stairs or falling flat on my backside. 🙂

My WTH is why does everybody b***h about Tiny Co not just giving them everything? They have gave us a great game while learning how to do so in the process. Bugs and crashes need reported so they can work on fixing them. More land will come in time. Just wait for it. You gonna have to pay a lot for it anyways, so stop complaning. If you think crashes are bad now, try to imagine what would happen if they threw everything everybody wants in the game at the same time. I personaly say thank Tco for what we got, and I say thank Bunny and Alissa for this awsome site to help us along.

My thing is this is not really a game. It’s a time killer. Other games, that you actually play, do have stores to buy extras. In this game the extras are extremely over priced, in my opinion.
Let’s look at the value. Comicon characters and decos now do nothing after less then a month. You tap and select an action and come back when it’s done. Some with the costumes.
Maybe I have just been spoiled by dlc and steam sales that give you so much for your money that I find the costs on this game so outrageous.
I mean if you have the Halloween characters your in for 30 bucks and what do you get for that? Not 30 dollars of satisfaction by any means. I would wager that some of you are in to this game for the cost of 5 or more seasons of the show on dvd. That is brutal, seeing as the game is in its first year.
That is my wth.

What the hell?!?!? I have nothing running in the background I’ve pretty much deleted all my other apps just to make sure I have plenty of space which I do but the game keeps freezing and then crashing every time I try to do any kind of action, which is really messing up with this weeks times challenge!!!! This really sucks I’ll never be able to roast the puff man 10 times in the amount of time given with the game crashing so much!!!! They need to either extend the time or change the amount of times!!! Or better yet maybe not have so many things if the game can’t handle it!!! Ohhhhhh so frustrated

It is not roasting him 10 times it is just earning 10 marshmallow stuff he gives you. Get him 4 times in a row or get him 3 times in a row than let the timer run out ( make sure you still have over a day left on the challenge than kill him 2 more times that should get you there even having lost the first marshmallow stuff that you have to get to trigger the challange. Hope it helps. Also go into settings on your phone and clear the cache of memory. It means any saved info like websites and stuff like that would be gone but it should help give you more memory.

Not related to the halloween event, but What the Hell? Why isn’t there a special dialogue/task between Jake Tucker and his dad now that Tom is in the game? Glad I finally spent the 50 clams to get him a bit before the event, as his getting stink bombs has helped a lot, but really, they need to have a task there.

Yay, I’m the first to comment! I’m so sick of saving up vials for Mr. Weed. There’s so many cool buildings, decorations, and of course, Stewie’s costume that I want to purchase. I’m choosy now, but wish I didn’t have to be. I liked in the Comicon that you got prizes after reaching a total number of Blam, whether you spent it or not.

I agree we need more land. Tinyco’s response is silly. (how much land is enough?). I’m not really one to complain, esp about a “free” game but the land limit is sort of sucking the fun out of playing. What’s the point of all the new cool stuff if there’s no where to put it except in inventory? Please give up some more land..even if it’s just a small amount for now.

As of this morning (25th October) the game has been unplayable. It’s constantly freezing and jumping, so you launch a bomb, it freezes and then the bomb lands in open land. It often crashes launching a bomb, it landing, scrolling around, cashing in etc.
It took me 50 minutes to cash everyone in this morning, I had about 30 crashes.
It’s got to a point now where I can’t bomb the kids or even realistically play it as it’s a chore to do anything with.

Outside basic troubleshooting like force close and restart device…here are my thoughts.
My personal experience when the game slows…its is due to too much going on and the device just can’t keep up. Right now you got a TON of lil kids, ghosts, banshees, etc runnin round town. Marshminkter (yes that’s what I call them) Guy. So your device is prob pushed too its limits.
So this is how I combat it on my devices… Make sure NOTHING else is running on my device. Shut down and kill any other apps that like to run in background (like Facebook). Make sure you have LOTS of free space on the device memory. I give 2GB just to THIS app. Store some items you do not need in your game. MORE drain memory. LESS is good. Store away anything animated that may be adding to the drain. Try to keep all characters on indoor tasks if possible. Those not really needed definitely send them inside somewhere. You can also refresh the game by restarting your device.
See if this helps.

Sadly I have been rebooting before I play the game for months now, so that little trick has helped it’s last.
I am not running anything in the background of any note, and certainly nothing that’s any different to the last few weeks. It seems specifically this morning when the problems started. Don’t get me wrong, I have had lots of crashes before, but it used to be 2 or 3 a time, now I get about 15 seconds of game time before it crashes. I can’t actually even place buildings into storage, I don’t get long enough.
It seems to have happened along with an incredibly long boot time, I can hear the game playing in the background, but it still sits on the loading screen.

Well if all the things that plague my game to cause it to slow are not helping…and the basics are not helping…please report it to them. They altered the game for specific devices during Con that couldnt handle all the extra memory drains and/or coding. They may have to do it again this time…IF that is the case.
Won’t know until they look into your game as to what may be the cause and if it is game related. Contact them and see what happens.

Well, I might have got somewhere.
I fired the game up, didn’t touch it, let the device switch off the screen, left it for a few minutes, woke the device, and then started storing buildings. When it started getting a little chuggy, again I left it and then woke it up a few minutes later.
I have managed to store a load of buildings now and it’s far more responsive, not great, but at least I can pan around the map without it dying on it’s a***e.
You know what might be useful? If you could post a list of “Buildings/Objects that you shouldn’t store”, because with all the crap I have accumulated in my town I have no idea if any of it is actually important.
Two things I did find that probably weren’t helping, I had about 20 (each) Comicon search lights and inflatable men hidden behind a building.
What I don’t understand is that Tapped Out hardly ever crashes, it’s perfectly able to keep running regardless of whatever event they are running. Yes, sometimes it goes slow, but it never bombs out. They also don’t run events that seem specifically designed to either kill devices or give a significant advantage to faster ones.
There are also little things that TinyCo could do on lower end devices, maybe they could give toggle options for these. The most obvious ones to me are: Disable all building/decoration animations, instead just have them be static. And also to remove the coin, item etc animations. It doesn’t have to pop out and then sit there for a bit before flying over the screen. They could just pop and icon up and then have it disappear, or just have the total update.

Lil insight. TSTO Does have same issue. Got so bad for me with two much stuff I was locked out of my B game for 3 month . They had to roll my game back til they could finally open it. I lost a lot of items.
I use these same methods for TSTO too. I think it’s all on player, their game items, and their device constraints.

I started the game after the event to unlock Cleveland. I was crossing my fingers they were going to discount him for this event since he is a part of it. I don’t have 400 clams to drop on one character…especially with a payback of only 10 clams. Now I am unable to complete the who ate you gonna call story line. They could at least let us unlock the costume without having him so we could have it once we save up the clams.

What the hell is with the continuous crashing? It’s literally every 2 min, no matter what you are doing. I read that it was because of devices not having enough ram.. A couple problems with that theory. One: My device plays much more complex games without so much as a single hiccup. Two: If it were the ram, then removing characters and buildings from your town, thus reducing the amount of things that are rendered on-screen, should make the game run smoother.. It doesn’t. My Galaxy S3 was having no problems before this event and there isn’t very much different about the Halloween event than the Comic-con event gameplay wise. Also, I just noticed that Jason is now voiced and it is terrible! I think they took the lines from one of the eps where channel 5 interviews him at Camp Crystal Lake, but these lines just are not funny and are ruining the character’s vibe. They should either have him be silent or only do the “Ki Ki Ki, Ma Ma Ma” sound effect from the movies.

Seriously!? 200 Clams for Jason? Feels like a slap in the face. If I had known TinyCo was going to charge Clams for him too, I wouldn’t have bought the Alien. Please don’t make Freddy a Clam purchase. He could be a Cauldron creation or the prize for completing a quest or something. It’s more rewarding to earn such prizes than just paying money to collect virtual characters.

The problem here is those characters will be licensed, someone had to get paid before they ended up in the game, then someone will need to get paid if the character is voiced. TinyCo can’t absorb the cost, that’s bad for business.
Most of the clam characters have nothing to do with Family Guy, they’re a one off appearance at best, so at least you’re not missing a key character from the show. That’s maybe the best way to look at it but it still sucks we don’t get the really cool stuff for free.

WTH I have been waiting all week to brew the hovering ghost, I expected to get one of the cute ghosts that spawn around town not that horrible looking thing. Maybe it’s a girl thing but a lot of brews and decos are too dark, ugly and gory looking, I was hoping for more cute or funny. WTH.

I agree. Trick or treaters … What the hell?!?!?! Knocking at my door expecting me to just give them free stuff. They could at least rake up a few leaves in my yard before they come asking me for free candy. Maybe I could sit at my attic window & launch water balloons at them as they come up the walk. That would be fun. Or were you talking about the trick or treaters from the game? I’m fine with them. What the hell? I’m confused now.

Poltergeists. They are supposed to be randomly attaching themselves to building, but it is far from random. About 50% of the time they are on Halloween event buildings, delaying drops of spirit vials. The rest of the time they are on the same four or five buildings, ones that I’ve been sending characters to for actions, so I can’t get them out unless I clear the it. But they never seem to land on office building or places that don’t matter. If they were truly random, they’d occasionally find their way to a place that isn’t annoying or holding me up.
Also, had a bunch of people level up this morning, but only one had a facespace update. I feel like the facespace section is really not getting utilized to it’s full potential. Maybe TinyCo could put up a suggestion box where players could write potential posts and the best get added to the game. That way they don’t have to spend time coming up with stuff themselves.

They only latch to certain buildings.
Much like you I find they love the event buildings but lately they’ve become very fond of the Fabulous 4 building.
So far I’ve seen them latch onto these non Halloween event buildings.
The Founding Father Restaurant (very popular, I send Lois there all day)
Tiny Tots Preschool (this one is also popular but I never use it for anything)
The Library
The French Café, Le Croissant Degoutant

If you have any of those buildings in storage or can build them it could be an idea to get them out. It won’t stop poltergeists landing on event buildings but can help stop it happening to all of them at the same time.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if we stored all these popular buildings and event building. I wonder what they would latch onto then??

I don’t have a problem with Lurkers, because I figured out its best to ignore them when they’re not on buildings that give Vials. In doing so I’ve been able to stockpile Traps with Diane and Francis. I’ve got around 7-8 Traps at the moment because I most to the time I use the rechargeable Trap ever 4 hours on a Vial building. If I don’t have to I’ll waste it on another building to just get the reward. Also when my Trap stockpile gets to big at 9 I’ll clear all buildings though it takes the game a long time to restore all Lurkers. I’m guessing the game restores Lurkers one at a time and not all at once, so it will take like 6-10 hours for them to be at Max again.

What the hell?! Nintendo, why are you doing this to me? I now HAVE to get a Wii U because the new Smash Bros is just that good looking. I need to have it. I couldn’t care less about Mewtwo, I just want the game, preferably in a bundle. Just take my money!

I had to have my 17 year old cat put to sleep and I couldn’t be there with her due to a business trip. 😥
