Halloween phase 4 is here! It’s time to upgrade those portals, unlock a new Ghostbuster and fight Stay Puft!
Of course TinyCo has armed you with a fun questline to help rid the dead of Quahog (and in some cases raise it)! By following along with the questline you’ll learn the ins and outs of how to succeed at Halloween, and send the dead packing!

And that, my friends, is where the main questline ends for week 4. We’ll pick the main questline back up once the portals can be upgraded!
Also note that the Fiscal Fright questline will run alongside this throughout the entire event. This is basically telling you to upgrade to the next level. And remember, you can earn clams from the Fiscal Fright questline… (Max Level is 10)

I started building the Haunted Carnival and when I opened the game back up hours later the building was gone and the spirit vials I used to purchase it were gone as well. Any other reports of this issue?

Very odd. Mine built just fine. Try to force close your app and restart your device. If it still is gone, let them know.

Is the stay puft portal not after the nightmare portal? I hate to make myself look like a fool here but it says that my next portal is the ??? Portal. Is that the nightmare portal? I am already level 8 by the way. (I meant to post this as a reply 😂)

Bunny and Alissa, have u girls heard anything new with American dad? Like will it be part of the Christmas event? Cuz once this is over they should be starting the Christmas event soon so I’m wondering if they have enough time to do American day and then Christmas event or will the join them together? Just wanted to know if u guys heard anything from tinyco, u know…with the connection u girls have with the guys over there…I bet if bunny put on her bunny costume and go over there they’ll tell her everything. Do it bunny…take one for the addicts.

American Dad will be a November Event. While TinyCo hasn’t announced any plans for Christmas….i’d be EXTREMELY shocked if they don’t do a Christmas event as well 😉

With comic con the challenge was to kill giant stewie multiple times
But this time its goops instead of how many hits. Now Im pretty sure i can continue the 25x streak going till the next update or should I stop and start building up my s’more cuz they might ask for multiple hits on marshmallow man instead. What do u guys suggest?

I really hope hope they don’t pull some shizznit like last time where I had 100 each of the stewie bombs and they became useless!!! Right now I have a stick pile of the stink bombs traps and rockets just in case however I’ll be checking with ms. Bunny first

If I haven’t already started the “I’ve got the power” questline, do I need to start it before the next portal update to avoid missing out? I know I need to complete it in three days once it’s started but I want to know how long I can wait to start it. I’m trying to stock up on rockets first.

We honestly do not know. You just need 4 straight runs in a row to get what you need. Then you are done with Challenge. New Portal drops Thursday.

When does the week 4 event close so I don’t lose out on getting the power grid. I’m saving up rockets before activating the quest and I don’t want to start it too late.

Sorry if i missed it but have you discussed the best ways to use the extra bottles we earn? I have over 75 of each and have already bought duplicates of some items, however i’m trying to save my vials for Mr. Weed. Do you think they will come out with something that will use them or an exchange maybe?

I posted recently but I don’t see it so I don’t know if it went through.
I crafted vampire duck stewie and I am doing the quest, but you need quahog 5 news for one of the quest parts… But I’ve not yet reached district 9. Is there anything I can do? Or do I just have to wait until I unlock district 9? Its so hard to do everything for district 8 when I still need to do the Halloween quests LOL.

Hey, I just started playing family guy quest for stuff a couple of weeks ago so this is my first event. I was just wondering, do I get to keep any of the event buildings, decorations, costumes and characters after the event is over? Or does everything disappear? ( I wouldn’t want to waist vails and such).

After the event anything in the store related the the event will disappear.

Adding a footnote to Alissa’s reply: You get to keep the stuff you already purchased or brewed during the event. Anything you didn’t obtain or complete (like if you’re only halfway through collecting stuff for Ghostbuster Cleveland) will vanish (said in spooooooky voice) – that includes any unspent spirit vials. I personally recommend you brew/buy what you want at least a couple hours before the event is set to end. Last time, there was a lot of server traffic right at the end of Comic-con which caused delays and people getting kicked out as they tried to grab the last few things. TinyCo did release an event-currency based “mystery prize box” about a week before the last event ended, so you could spend the last of your event currency on that if you wanted. I purchased duplicates of several buildings (that cost event currency) last time but they don’t seem to be giving that option with this event.

I apologize if this is the wrong place to put this, but I am trying to do Duckie stewie’s quest and I need quahog 5 news- but I don’t have district 9 yet. Is there nothing I can do until I unlock it?
I’m so upset about this! That means I have to use my characters to get to dostrict 9 when I need them for halloween. 😦

It’s a game. When I first started I was sooooooooo addicted and obsess that it was border line unhealthy. I then recognized this and thankfully adjusted accordingly. I now play when I can, if I don’t get a character, or a specific prize, who cares? IT….IS….A…GAME, there are more prizes and events to go after. Example, I missed last week challenge, I just couldn’t get all those stinky trick-o-treaters. Oh well, live goes on, I am perfectly fine with this. I actually find myself enjoying the game more now than before.

A game is meant to enjoy and have fun…if you are laughing and enjoying and having fun…AWESOME!!! If not, find something that will give this to you. If you do not like something, that is OK. There is no wrong in that. Just means it wasn’t for you.
Yes we are Addicts and can get a bit carried away with our games, but in the end…I do this because I personally like playing the game, I enjoy what it offers, I want something that challenges me as a gamer and is not just handed to me. It is that feeling of “earning” something that makes me love what I have even more.
Like you said… I know I have two games, one I play Freemium and one I play Premium for the site. My Freemium game does not have everything, but that is Ok. I am happy that what I do have in it I worked for and earned. The amount of joy it gave me makes me WANT to invest in my Premium game to give back to those that brought me the joy. 🙂

Well I did the math again, and weighed quests against the rockets and decided to start making smores when I had 43 of each rockets.
And unlike the comic con mutant and demon stewies, I had perfect luck.
With my charchaters building rockets the whole time I was able to work up to the 25x streak and hit it 3 times before I was cleaned out of rockets. Either they fixed the process for determining the next rocket to be more player friendly, or I got super lucky. Now I have Mr. Weed, Vampire Duck Stewie and the Griffins Halloween skins. Just need the vials to brew up Stay Puft and the Alien Queen (they will make great additions to my year round Quahog Comic con!)
No jason and not even a little interested in Freddy (slasher movies just arent my thing…) but I am thrilled the choice of premium charachters finally allows me to save some money!
The tiny clam rewards have been awesome! i think i have spent most of what I got on small purchases and hurrying actions.
Very clever Tinyco, you almost have me thinking that clams aren’t something I need to hold onto until the bitter end.
Overall, the event has been an improvement in the gameplay department. Not happy with what appears to be inconsistancy in the minions. They don’t seem to spawn at regular intervals, they don’t spawn in regular amounts, and it appears that they some time don’t spawn at all, simple randomly inserted into your Quahog when you log on. Just means i hafta spend more bombs clearing them out and trying to force them to spawn in my trap, and that works about 2/3 of the time so still making god number of spirit vials.
Now for xmas, I really hope we get some new mini-games, cause I’m not at all interested in dropping egg-nog bombs on santas elves or collecting 3 different types of snow ball to throw at the abominable snowman 😉

Too many characters that do nothing and the ones that you need have long tasks so basically Tinyco is saying you have to buy to play . Before you go beeking look at Chris he has tasks plus collects stink bombs plus s’mores .cant do them all at once so you tell me why I should delete this stupid game. Other it kills time!

Look…we can’t tell you what to do or not to do. But honestly you have more negativity towards this game than anyone else here. I think it’s time to delete the game and move on with your life.

Bonnie, Slutty Cat Meg and Mort have bomb tasks, use them. Pink Brian too if you got him. Jake Tucker has a bomb task and is only 50 clams, if you’ve been playing for a while TinyCo have given you a lot more than that for free.
The rockets are more important than bombs due to the multiplier, prioritize.
Many character don’t have tasks because it would be unfair to new players and too easy for long term players.

This is a resource management game.
Using limited resources (character actions, coins, clams, and your own time) to try to see how far you can go.
If you have a lot of one of the resources(clams or time) then you can get to the end.
If you have neither of those two resources then this game is literally not for you.

Any words of wisdom? Every time I click the brew pot or the Halloween menu by the ghost trap it crashes EVERY TIME. I did the reinstall now the trap counter in on top the Halloween menu am can’t even get to it. I haven’t been able to brew anything for a few days. I totally love this game I just Wana b able to play it. Any advice? Do I need to report this or is there something I can do?

Mine crashed too, a lot, still does but I find its my phone not the game, I have a galaxy S4 and yet the memory is terrible, I have an app that helps me closed down unwanted apps and frees up space deleting unnecessary items such as icons and your trash folder. It’s called DU Speed Booster, but if you don’t have android you can manually close unwanted apps yourself, takes longer but I could help your game!

With the new portal being the nightmare portal, tinyco has to put in Freddy. If they don’t I am going there and having a picnic in the parking lot entrance until they meet my demands.

What I mean is, I can’t find it in my items to build. I am further alone than my husband and he has it but I don’t. I have make all 4 ghost busters but never needed to make it like the previous update says I should have.

I finished the quest line for A Town Perseveres Pt. 1, but it never prompted me to build the asylum. Any ideas on why?

If it’s missing from your list it might be best to contact TinyCo. It should be there and if the questline didn’t prompt you to build it (which it should have along with Lois baking cookies)…I think you’ll have to contact TinyCo to find out what’s going on with your game. Only they can restore it if it’s missing..

I’m have a slight problem. I haven’t unlocked Stewie but I crafted vampire duck Stewie. I went to inventory and clicked create, and it “created” it. But, it then applied on stewie’s locked form, is frozen, and the icon in the brew menu doesn’t have over it and says not enough but has a check beside it. All it does is blink went tapped on. Is this normal or a glitch and did I lose the costume. Help!
I know this is kind of a repost but I am really in a pickle and am waiting for answer for a very long time. So could you gals please help me.

I did post the answer silly. Long time ago. You just have to wait now. Wait til you have actually Stewie to use it. Wait after contacting TinyCo to ensure that no issues in the future. I think it is just waiting there. You can use a costume for a kid that doesnt exist in your game yet.

I did see it, like I said prior…never saw someone run into that portion yet. You are the first. Usually you craft it when it comes time to put it in the game. I suggest contacting them just to be safe. 🙂

Hey there you awesome people! So I’ve been doing the Halloween event and you say that when you tap go for the Stay puft instructional modal that it should take you to Part 2. I’ve clicked and clicked on it and nothing has happened. I only have 6 quests open including this one. Is there some other quest that needs to be completed before this one will start?

Still was just wondering when this event would pop up since it’s hasn’t happened for me yet. Now the events that I’m currently doing have changed but I know you’ve been super busy doing the super job that you’re doing. 🙂 Just thought I’d give another little heads up to you awesome folk, especially if it’s happening to other people.
I am uber happy that I have gone quite a bit further since we last spoke. I’m also still loving the game!

Again, my problem is that the task to get to trouble in paradise Pt. 2 will not open. I continuously click go to open the Stay Puft Modal and nothing happens. I’ve used rockets to roast him but now I do not want to continue because I know that I should be saving them when the next event hits. But when will that be? I really don’t want to miss out on receiving the car. Any help would be awesome.

Does anyone know if we are gonna be able to get more vials when we roast the Marshmallow Man or how are we gonna get more vials? The thought of acquiring Mr Weed is becoming more and more far fetched. How are we gonna get 17500 vials in less than 12 days if everything new require to spend them? Please help!!!

Vampire Duck Stewie has a 2 hour task to get graham cracker bombs, which makes blasting Stay Puft (and getting more spirit vials) easier 😉

Love the game so far. At Level 48 or 49 and I am at level 9 for the portal. Still waiting for the whole time travel blimp to get going though.

Once you unlock Stewie and finishes all the quest lines for district 8 then you will get Prison Meg costume to work on. Once you get that Costume then it will trigger the time travel blimp. And then after the blimp is done you get district 9 and Tom Tucker. Also Vinny comes into play but it is a timed mission to unlock him so if you get that far before halloween is over then I would hold off on triggering that one.

Still hoping there will be items to brew that need lots of candy corn. Would hate to see them go to waste. Also wish there was a way to turn off the trick or treaters. They remind me of “no see ’em” bugs.

Awesome so far. But as usual they start a new quest line that sucks. You need to use Chriss for a bunch of stuff or use him to collect missile to defeat stay puft. What to doing, what to do? But happy to say I got Mr. Weed finally and Vampire Duck Stewie. Slowly getting there. Only need 18000 more vials to get the rest of the stuff I don’t have LOL. Cheers.

OMG I love this game but the game has become unplayable. It keeps freezing or kicking me out. I no longer wish to play the game anymore. Can’t they fix the issues already. It has become so unbearable anymore. Takes me 45 mins to put my characters in for anything. I am addicted to the game but not sure anymore. Anyone else having troubles??

Outside basic troubleshooting like force close and restart device…here are my thoughts.
My personal experience when the game slows…its is due to too much going on and the device just can’t keep up. Right now you got a TON of lil kids, ghosts, banshees, etc runnin round town. Marshminkter (yes that’s what I call them) Guy. So your device is prob pushed too its limits.
So this is how I combat it on my devices… Make sure NOTHING else is running on my device. Shut down and kill any other apps that like to run in background (like Facebook). Make sure you have LOTS of free space on the device memory. I give 2GB just to THIS app. Store some items you do not need in your game. MORE drain memory. LESS is good. Store away anything animated that may be adding to the drain. Try to keep all characters on indoor tasks if possible. Those not really needed definitely send them inside somewhere. You can also refresh the game by restarting your device.

Don’t you find it even a little weird that you actually have to advise people to have this as the ONLY application open just to make it run somewhat reasonably? What other app requires this? Lol

I already got to Fright Level 10 on Saturday without rushing anything so it seems it was a little too easy. I guess I’m just feeling a little unmotivated now lol

Cleveland also has a short quest line with killing Banshees and an 8 hour slimer quest. For Quagmire’s 6 hour task, should it be giving 1 of each rocket, or just 1 at random?

First off – just an immense event for me. No issue purchasing the pred, Alien or Jason – too good not to imo! Jason especially so if unsure just go for that guy 🙂
Also, I know there are those who worry about the giant marshmallow that is ‘stay puft’. I appreciate it is a good strategy to stockpile rockets before the power grid challenge, but I promise you it is in no way necessary. Yep, I dived straight in admittedly but I have had no problems collecting the rockets. There are so many options to gather, so please fellow addicts – do. Not. Stress. Haha 🙂

Its been a chore to get Mr. Weed as a freeium player. I haven’t bought anything for close to a week with Vials and I’m still 5000 Vials away from buying him. I thought I’d be able to gain ground attacking SPMM, but TinyCo limited Vials to a base number rewarding more in marshmellows. My original estimation of finishing Sunday has pushed me back to getting just Mr. Weed by Tuesday. Ducky Stewie won’t be possible by next weekend. With how TinyCo has dropped Vial rates for this event it looks like I won’t get those buildings during the last few days with spare Vials because there won’t be any.

Got my duck stewie, all premium characters and I’m at max fright level without spending a penny of real money so I’m happy. Hoping for one more awesome premium character like Jason was next week! Hope the American Dad event brings some new mini games to the game other than the bomb this, get this latcher stuff we’ve been doing.

Hi I’ve brewed vampire duck stewie but haven’t got stewie should I still have the costume when I’ve unlocked stewie because it isn’t showing up in Halloween costumes on face space

It will sit in your inventory until Stewie is unlocked in your game. You cant use a costume without the kid to put it on. 😉

Event is going pretty well. I built up a stash of rockets for 1 day before triggering the weekly challenge, but it really wasn’t necessary. Got Stewie’s costume, which was my next priority, so I’m pleased.
I really want the Stay-Puft Deco (OMG, he’s adorable), but I think I’m going to be disciplined and stock up vials now that I have a stash of Banshee tears so I can finally get Mr. Weed. Kind of dull to avoid buying/making anything until then, though. Do you anticipate the base reward for blowing up Stay-Puft going up next week?

I just skipped SPMM deco to get the Alien Queen. Best. Decision. Ever. The Queen is voiced by the guy that does Bruce and says the most hilarious things of any character in the game, even though its just a deco.

I’m have a slight problem. I haven’t unlocked Stewie but I crafted vampire duck Stewie. I went to inventory and clicked create, and it “created” it. But, it then applied on stewie’s locked form, is frozen, and the icon in the brew menu doesn’t have over it and says not enough but has a check beside it. All it does is blink went tapped on. Is this normal or a glitch and did I lose the costume. Help!

Clear some unfinished tasks from your task menu. See if that helps.

Loving the event so far, I haven’t even started this weeks questline yet, building up a good supply of rockets to maximise the emount of Goop I can earn in one go, so far I have around 50 of each type, and will probably begin roasting the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man tomorrow. Looking at the name of the next portal makes me think that Freddy Kruger is gonna play a much bigger role than I first thought he would.
