I am becoming very frustrated with the game. I have played it thoroughly throughout the Quahog Halloween event, getting all the stuff as it was released, but I am unable to get the Grand Prize Ecto-1 Ghostbusters Car. During week 4, when the weekly prize was the Ghostbusters Power Grid Decoration, for defeating the marshmallow to get 10 marshmallow jar ingredients a glitch occurred. It stated that I had over a day left to complete the challenge, and the next morning (where is stated I had over a day left the night before) it had disappeared. I know other people, friends of mine, who have also experiences this and similar scenarios where their quest disappeared way early. I contacted TinyCo. and they said that they are unable go give extensions in a single case.
I find it very, very unfair that because of a glitch in the game, I cannot get the grand prize as they are unwilling to help a great fan and avid played of he game like myself.
Is there any course of action or advice anyone could give me? Or am I just going to be out of pocket?

I did the quest, and now it says defeat freddy but when I hit ok it just takes me to the woods. I tried everything, all other task complete I don’t want to miss getting him. PLEASE HELP ME. !!!!!!!!!

I did report but they do not send a reply. I lost my game when they did that update a month ago and the never returned a reply, but they did send a request on how would I rate there progress. What a crock.

Each issue is different and replies and return time vary. You still need to report it so they can fix it manually til a game wide patch it made.

So I unlocked Freddy the other day but there was never any timer and the skyline and ecto haven’t popped up yet to claim. How many tasks is too many? I have about 13 going but 11 of them I can’t complete because there either for characters I haven’t unlocked yet (stewie,asian Peter, etc.) or there quests for buying premium items like alien and predator. What should I do ?

Hello ladies as ive said in previous posts you do a great job and so im greatful that you are here to help out. Im so hoping you ha e some great advice on this. I just have the worst luck lately with this game. I was so greatful that when I was able to get back in after being locked out for 2weeks with the facebook thingy, that the game/event was kind of frozen almost like I hadn’t stopped playing at all. I was able to play 2weeks behind but I got all the same challenges as everyone else. I won and have them all but my ecto 1 and skyline is nowhere. That car was the one thing that I wanted and was scared that being kicked out was going to make me unable to. I hard closed it and its not there, I also messaged tiny co. Thankfully, but not at all, its the weekend so no help really. Like I said ive got bad luck with the game lately. I am so so so bummed out. Any ideas for me to try?

So I just unlocked sexy witch Connie but there was no quest line for her? Does she not have one? Also when I go to brew stuff I see that vampire duck stewie, slutty cat Meg and sexy witch Connie are locked but I have already brewed them??? I am very confused

She has one; right now, where I’m at, it’s all about Anal Point, which I had to pull out of storage. (Pardon the pun.) Not sure what comes next. It starts with her taking selfies. Then an hour task for her & Peter.

The quest line for sexy Witch Connie kicked off when I got tonA Nightmare On Spooner Street Pt 5, it’s a pretty cool questline but I’m not sure what kicks it off, and it’s about 6 or 7 pts long.

The quest lines called Double, Double, Toil & Trouble, and is 6 pts long, and the reason that locks appear over costumes you’ve already brewed is so that you don’t end up brewing them again by accident.

So Freddy is indeed voiced now but sadly it’s just audio from the remake! I’m guessing they couldn’t get Robert Englund or WB made them use that one. What an insult. :p

yeah figured as much….its too bad as Englund would have jumped at this i think. the funny thing is i don’t dislike the remake, i own it and enjoy it but it would have been so great to get him. or even if they only used clips from his movies, that be good enough too!! oh well at least he has a voice and it is a Freddy voice, they could have just used one of their own guys to do it or something so its official either way! lol

Does anyone know how tinyco is about clam refunds? I bought consuela for 300 clams a few days ago, and now she’s only 180 clams. I’m kinda peeved about that since these are clams that I purchased with my real money. I would’ve gladly used the 120 clams that I would’ve saved, on other things

im stuck on the Quest “Ghostbusters: roll out. pt. 8. ive gotten soul lvl 4, then it tells me upgrade my portal. i click it and im already at the final portal upgrade. what am i to do? am i missing something?

If you are already at the last Nightmare Portal, try to tap on the Portal itself or see if you can use the option in the task to go to the Portal to tap on it and clear it. If that does not help, let them know.

I have the same problem, and tapping on the portal through the mission screen doesn’t help, and neither does tapping the portal.

No. Just make sure you have tasks cleared off your menu so the final challenge can pop up.

I was in this boat, you are a newish player too, I’d bet. Knock off some of your Halloween quests, I had to work on three, ANYWAY, keep grinding on old burgundy quests, challenge will pop, keep grinding, ecto-1 will pop. Now I’m trying to unlock Brian fast enough to still get pink brian, but after 18 hours I have 13 books and 12 bones left, gimme a break

Mmmh, what is more efficient? Selling 3 stinkbombs for vials or spending 3 bombs on little dudes? Killing stay puft or selling rockets? Anyone have a good theory about this so far? Thanks.

Well, definitely killing staypuft. Not at first, but higher levels. x25 is 1000 – 1800 for 30 rockets, but you’d only get 750 if you just traded them all in. Trap is worth the same. But unless you are consistently hitting 10+ ToTers, I think trade-in is the better deal.

are there any questlines for freddy or witch connie? i unlocked both but was surprised that neither of them have quests. also, does freddy really only have one task until he reaches level 6? i wasn’t sure if this was the way it was supposed to be or some error/glitch

Very common for a character to not have much to do until they level up more. Keeps you challenged to unlock them further instead of open them up and done in one shot. 🙂

Did you clear out the task in your menu for the skyline? If it is still there, tap on it. Ecto 1 pops up right after you clear it and goes to your inventory.

I had to grind down some burgundy quests first, then FINALLY popped it. Please bare in mind I started playing around Halloween launch so I’m pretty far behind. I didn’t even have a chance at comicon 😦

Anyone else having issues on the defeat Freddy in 3 days part of the quest line? I now have two quests that are asking me to defeat Freddy, one is the “Ghostbuster Challenge Week 5: To The Ecto-1” and the other is “Nightmare on Spooner Street Pt. 7”. Both ask me to defeat Freddy, but when I click on the task, it rushes me to the covered forest section in the bottom-center of the screen, and there’s nothing there but the trees. Tried on my phone and tablet, and I get the same thing. What should I be seeing when I attempt this task?

Anyone else feel the conversion of items for vials is a bit lack luster? The only one that makes sense is the ghost trap as you get 1 more vial then using it. The rest are not worth it. The stink bombs is the next closest, but as long as you can hit 12 in one blast each time, you can get more vials this way than crafting vials.
Trying to get enough vials right now to craft the alien queen. Just got Mr. Weeds, Connie’s costume, and the Stay Puft man!

The real benefit is for the very last few hours of the event when you have no way to use leftover items. & the exchange rates are more than fair. Think of it, you get full vial rate exchange for these items without having to do any work. What more could you ask? Personally I would have been more than happy to trade items in at a much lower rate (10-25 vials per item, possibly). & note that the 1 extra you get (76 instead for traps or 101 for stink bombs) make up for the 1 vial required to brew it on the front end. No one should have any reason at all to complain about this exchange.

havent atacked him since i realized after you defeat him on the 25 multiplier you need to have 30 of all always (to keep it at 25x) so now i am just collecthing rockets until i have like 60 of each… 😛

I see your point, but it really depends upon how one looks at things. The chance to convert things into vials, regardless of the conversion rate, is actually a great deal if someone has no use for the extra things. It seems like a nice gesture by TinyCo to offer these exchanges. They certainly didn’t need to.

I love this portion of the event. I won’t be able to get the Alien but I got Predator, Jason and Freddy. As I have everyone on their respective tasks gathering items, I have not seen the full tasks available for either Jason or Freddy. The only way to make this event even better is if there is a task where it’s Freddy vs. Jason. That would be a true killer.

That all depends on your portal. The only set amount I have is a least 6 MAX at a time in your town. Let them know if you think they are not spawning right please from your game.

So…on a scale of 1-10 how confident are we that we’ve seen the last Halloween update? I know the portals are done upgrading…but I seem to remember comicon dropping a last second latched stewie costume on us in the last couple days when I had already blown all my Blam on a mystery box. I already have everything available so don’t know if I should blow my extra vials on lots of decor or patiently wait incase something else pops up last min…

In the Stewie mystery box there is a haunted manor. It looks like the one we started with. Is it because we don’t get to keep the one in the game now? I woulld like to have all the Halloween stuff so seeing if I should get some clams to try and get it.

Correct. The items in the “temporary event area” will go away when the event does. So anything in there will just go back to Trees when it is over. So if you want the house, you have to win it. If you want Stay Puft, you have to craft him.

So I had the issue of the game consistently crashing when trying to unlock Connie. The good news is that it worked on like the 5th time… but now something weird is happening. Connie shows as locked from the brew menu, but I don’t have access to her outfit anywhere. Not only that, but her picture is empty on her MySpace page.
It’s like I have her… but I don’t. Any ideas? Any one else have this issue?

I’ve been having the same issue as a few other people with completing all the challenges and not getting Ecto-1. But Peter mentioned something about getting a car to Freddy. Do I have to complete Freddy’s challenges to get the car?

No. That is something separate. Ecto 1 was the weekly challenges. Krueger Kruiser is an item you can Brew in the cauldron.

So apparently we’re not going to be required to stink bomb a large number of ToTs, Puft or trap latcher ghosts for a questline again. ? I’ve been using my bombs and traps sparingly expecting that to happen. I suppose I’ll have to burn through them the last couple of days.

Got Freddy in the first 4hrs after updating the portal, even before looking at everything that was new I brewed all the new items straight away, then I opened the mausoleum to find I then only needed to do 1 action with Peter and Quaqmire to get him. So I now have brought one of every decoration and buildings that cost vials from the event tab store, have brewed at least one of everything in the cauldron, have all outfits/characters unlocked (including premium), and have completed all challenges and have the Ecto-1. So another successful event, I’m now holding onto my vials just I case they release a Vial Mystery Box, really hope they give us a way to get the Demon Stewie and Death Brian statues.

Just wanted to know if anyone knows if there will be more items to brew? Or is this it? I just want to know cause I still need to brew Connie and alien queen deco and I still have to unlock Stewie in regular game but I don’t want to miss out on new cauldron items.

Because I loaded on Marshmallows and Vials, it was really easy to get Freddie and with adding him and Connie’s costume, it’s a 125 clam bonus to your pot (if you have everything else). I got him right away basically. This is a good bonus by Tinyco.

I finished unlocking Freddy, got the NYC skyline and Ecto-1. Everything is great. also unlocked the Sexy Witch Connie. now to save up for Mr Weed who will complete the ghost set rewarding the last 50 clams I need for Jason who will complete the horror set for 100 clams!! Not bad at all!!

Umm so where is freddy to unlock exactly? I got his car, the furnace and the tool shed..even did the mausoleum thing but he’s nowhere to be seen to unlock, not even in the brewing thing :S. Every time i click on “Defeat Freddy” it just zooms me into the trees on the border.

What am I doing wrong here?, I’ve completed all the brewing and all the missions except the defeat Freddy and defeat Freddy in 3 days and when I click on defeat Freddy nothing happens, it just moves my view over the woods. There are not other missions popping up to do.

I have a couple question regarding the end of the Halloween event. I know we keep the characters, do they convert characters to regular play after the event ends? Also same basic questions regarding buildings, do we keep them and do they convert to regular play after the event? Do we keep all deco’s too?

Anything you bought or completely unlocked is yours to keep. The main changes are to the event only item drops and tasks.

They really need to consider allowing the GB skins to keep their ghost trapping action.
They would have to have the ghost as a part of the animation that just shows up for the task, but they do that with other actions.
Having the GB outfits but nothing to do with them is pretty pointless.
