If have to say the original PlayStation when it came out, with Legos coming in a close second.

I would say my fave childhood gift was a teenage mutant ninja turtles bicycle! I was around 5 or 6 and it was my first big girl bike. It was the last present opened during that year and i was sooo sad because i hadnt gotten it yet. Low and behold, my lil bike was hiding in the corner as the last present! Needless to say, I was stoked.

I recall getting a pedal car with a difference one Christmas when I was about 4 or 5. It was a tow truck in the livery of the AA ( a popular breakdown company in the UK) I use to tow all the other kids pedal cars everywhere until it broke down itself after over use.

When I was 11 I asked for cash from everyone, so I could pool it and buy a 27″ TV for my room. This was 28 years ago, so that was an impressive TV for someone my age. It was as big the TV my parents had in the living room.

I got a small black and white TV of my very own when I was 8 or so. I was the only one of my friends that had their own TV. I used to RUN home every Friday night to watch Dukes of Hazzard on it. Most people would now laugh at a TV that small (my tablet is bigger), let alone that many reading this have never seen a black and white TV. But to me it was the freedom to watch whatever I wanted and I loved it.

My favourite Christmas gift I got was when I was about 10 or so, and it was a big bike with tall upward handlebars. I love it, and also a KISS album. I was really happy.
Getting back to FGTQF, this is a really awesome game, although I’m not to big on challenges, I manage to get things done. This was a cool event, and I’m glad I got Jesus. I’m also glad that we have Alissa and Bunny helping us out to make things easier. 🙂

My favorite gift would have to have been coupled with one of my worst christmas ever. I was around 7 or 8 that year, and i guess i had been bad or something… (i think i was bugging my parents nonstop about opening a present early) so the morning came and my sister and i ran out of our rooms as fast as we could to stand in front of the tree only to find… the gifts from family members and thats it. It was a book a calendar and some clothes. My sister and i were devastated. We cried that santa had skipped us and my parents were egging us on… then my dad went into his room and grabbed a huge sack of toys and told us that santa had wanted to teach us a lesson about being good. I was so happy. I ended up getting everything on my list, which it wasnt big because all i really asked for was an original playstation and crash bandicoot… thats my best childhood gift

One of my few memories from when I was very young was getting a doll with hair that grew with you pulled down her arm. I remember dropping it off the apartment balcony for some reason.

Mine was the Fisher Price Zoo (the 80s one, not today’s). It had a safari vehicle train that would roll over a road trigger, making the hippo’s mouth open, and many more little details. We sold it at a yard sale during my teens, but since I became a zookeeper, my parents found one online and gave it to me (again) for Christmas a few years ago.

My lil red scooter. I even took it to bed with me Chridtmas night, and that was after skidding on ice whilst playing on it Christmas Day and ending up at the emergency room getting my head stitched up. That bang on the head may have something to do with why I took it to bed with me. Ha.

My favorite gift I got when I was a child was the first DragonBall Z game for PlayStation 2. The reason why is because I loved watching it on tv and then when I got to play as my favorite characters I was so happy.

The first Nintendo – the year they came out. There was no box the size of a Nintendo so my sister and I were quite disappointed. Then we opened a small box, inside was a pic of a Nintendo cut up like a puzzle. We had to search the house for it. Also got the my little pony waterfall that year, it was a close second!

Oh my favorite was a play kitchen with a some supplies that were hiding in the oven. See, when I was little I would go to the kitchen and see if I could help may it be mixing or clearing the table etc. However, my attempts to help didn’t always ended with the results I wanted. Lets just say the sink got few broken dishes and my cat might of thought that it rains milk…lol! When I got that kitchen I was ecstatic! It had a fold out table built in it, a phone on the side with a rotary dial, stove knobs that would turn and an oven!! The supplies were a few pans and plates I was set to play! It was so awesome! That play kitchen stayed with me for along time, I would of loved to be able to pass it down however due to a flood it got damaged but its memory shall be passed on.

Well…its a toss up between dolls.Of course this will date my age (but who cares).I had gotten the Chatty Cathy doll. Just Loved her. You pulled the string and she talked. Took her everywhere with me until one day. Oh my!!! She was missing. Now for the rest of the story. To begin may youngest brother is deaf. When I would show him my doll I would put his hand on her chest so he could feel the vibration. Now my brother was always curious as to how things worked. He was always taking things apart. Well…you guessed it. He had taken my Chatty Cathy down to the basement using my oldest brothers Boy Scout axe and (OMG!!!) chopped my doll up to see where the vibration was coming from.(tears…urge to kill him was strong). But Mom said he is just a baby and didn’t know any better. My foot, 4yrsold was not a baby too me.
Have a Good week Ladies!!!

A Mrs.Fields oven. I remember wanting it so bad one year, and my present was shaped just like the box, but when I opened it, it was a dollymaker instead. The next Christmas, I FINALLY got my oven!!! I was so excited!! I baked cookies for everybody =)

My grandpa got me an electric train set from Sears when I was 5 or 6 yrs old for Christmas (50+yrs ago). He was an enginer on a regional R.R. I was too young to be “allowed” to run it so he and my dad played all day with it for me LOL. I still have the train set and it still runs. P.S. my son now works on that same R.R.

Wow, my favorite gift as a child, which I’m going to say a child is under the age of 12. It would have to be my complete Matchbox car set with all the accessories when I was around 6 or 7 years old. I had (and still do) have a very vivid imagination. My family traveled quite a bit and we drove everywhere. To this day I still enjoy a long road trip where I can be alone with my thoughts and imagination. For years, I took a few Matchbox pieces with me everywhere I went creating my own world. Still today I have several pieces that are considered collectors and yes, I currently still play with them and still look for new pieces. I don’t make the sound effects anymore, but occasionally, I have to rearrange them (and yes, I push them, not just pick up and place) to appease the thoughts in my head. It truly is my land of make believe.
