As an 8 year old tomboy my was favorite gift was a Daisy bb gun I used to shoot aluminum cans. This is the same bb gun I used at 13 to defend the honor of what I now know was a promiscuous teenage sister as I shot the neighbor boy repeatedly as he ran out of her bedroom.

I still think my favorite gift is that I have my family and I get to enjoy time with them. There is no gift better than that. Material gifts are not one of my favorite things in life.

I will admit it: I was a KISS fan growing up in the 80’s, so I had tons of the toys and memorabilia. Most of my holiday gifts for many years were KISS items – action figures, a lunch box, a model van kit, posters, and more shirts than I can count – if it was KISS, I was stoked.
Over the years I became less interested and eventually parted with everything for one reason or another, but I still get a kick out of KISS. So their inclusion in the game was just too good to resist, since it does bring back memories of Christmas past. The 8-year-old version of myself talked me into dropping some clams to get all the KISS items as a gift to myself.
Thank you TinyCo for bringing my tradition back…

My favorite gift was a georgia tech starter jacket. No one at my school has one like it, and I was so disappointed the previous year when I really wanted the jacket and my sister got one instead (buffalo bills for her).

My favorite gift would probably have been my 1st bike or 1st pair of skates because I loved to play outside. As I became older it would probably be dolls or a gaming system.

My favorite gift as a child was family. I know it’s not something you can package up, purchase, or write on a list to Santa, but it was
the best part of my childhood and holiday years. It trumps all gadgets and gaming systems I ever received, especially because my family was fairly small (in comparison to many) and has sadly gotten smaller as I grew into an adult. I tried my darndest to pick just one thing that lit up my eyes on christmas morning, but honestly all i remember joyously beyond the presents were the presence (s).. The smiles, hugs, and laughter of those i will forever love and miss. I know this is out of the box and I may have colored outside the lines a bit, but this was my favorite gift, and always will be. Thank you to Bunny and Alissa for opening a thread for us to share fond childhood memories. Btw I am now 32 years old, and I still make Christmas wishes and truly believe 😉

I would have to say the greatest gift in my household was the Original Atari 2600. I still remember playing it as a kid with my 3 brothers. I think my oldest brother still has it with all the games we collected over the years. I still remember all of the battles we had in Combat, the original war game with tanks and planes.

My Ice Blue Schwinn bike when I was about 8! FREEEEEEEDOM!!!!
Tough as nails. Life time warranty. Rode that thing up and down concrete steps, over boulders, hills, on railroad tracks, (the older kids were a bad influence) over small cliffs, in creeks, learned to “ghost ride” it, layed down 15+foot skid marks with it…sideways of course! Only damage ever was a pedal broke off once, took it to the bike store and they bolted a new one on right away. My older broke a weld on his once from years of riding it down concrete steps, dad had someone weld it back togeather and handed it back… These were not bmx bikes mind you! Just a regular 1 speed bikes. 😝

My favorite gift from Santa was the entire Jem and Holligrams concert set and dolls. It had the back set for the concert with lights. All the instruments for the members of the band, Jem, Kimberly, Raya, Shana and Aja. It was all I wanted that year and I played with it everyday having my own “truly truly outrageous ” concerts.
