Star Trek Character Profile: Phase 4 Costumes, Klingon Meg

Hello There Space Clammers!

Star Trek has taken over Quahog!  A Starfleet Shuttle has conveniently crashed in Quahog and apparently someone decided that the future of the Galaxy should rest on Peter’s shoulders.  (cause that sounds like a smart idea!)  It’s your mission to help Peter save the Galaxy, after all it’d be a pretty boring game if he did it by himself!

Along the way you’ll unlock skins/costumes for your favorite residents of Quahog…and Meg!  These costumes will help you earn items needed to unlock other characters and more Dilithium Crystals, the much needed event currency for this event!  During Phase 4 (week 4), there are two costumes you can unlock and one of those is Klingon Meg.  Let’s take a closer look at this costume and see just what happens when you unlock it in your Quahog…

Klingon Meg

Klingon Meg is the sixth skin in Star Trek that you’ll be able to unlock.

However, unlike the others you won’t actually have to collect STUFF to get her.  Instead you’ll just have to buy a lot of premium STUFF!  While Klingon Meg herself isn’t a premium character, she can only purchased for a limited time (24hrs) when you purchase Worf, Guinan & Q…for a whopping 660 clams! And once the task pops up you’ll only have 24hrs to buy all 3 or you’ll miss out on Klingon Meg…

However, because it is Meg, she is NOT part of the Trekkie Griffin Character Collection…so she won’t prevent you from earning those free clams!

Klingon Meg does have a short questline that will popup once you unlock her..however, her primary role is to help you earn more Dilithium Crystals and help you earn items to unlock more characters!

Here’s a look at Klingon Meg’s tasks:

Task Length  Earns Drops Location
Embrace Facial Stubble 2hr 10 Dilithium Crystal 2 Star Trek XP n/a Enterprise
Klingon Beauty Regimen 4hrs 15 Dilithium Crystal   3 Star Trek XP Visual
Suppress the Klingon Rage 6hrs 20 Dilithium Crystal 4 Star Trek XP Enterprise
Bat’Leth Training 8hrs 25 Dilithium Crystal 5 Star Trek XP n/a Visual
Be Most Attractive Female Klingon 12hrs 35 Dilithium Crystal 6 Star Trek XP n/a Enterprise
Grate Cheese off Forehead 24hrs 50 Dilithium Crystal 10 Star Trek XP n/a Enterprise

And that my friends completes  the character profile for Klingon Meg!

What are your thoughts on Klingon Meg?  Have you unlocked her yet?  Thoughts on her tasks?  Any tasks you wish she had that she doesn’t currently?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I have all 3 premium and no MEG.. this 24 hour rules is crazy. Fork it over for those of us that didnt get what we paid for. 😦

  2. How do you get Herbert with the away mission? Who do you use?

    • It varies per player. There is no set win. So… just Rare item chance. Try a single person like Troi or Lois or Peter and see what happens after a few time.

  3. I still haven’t seen this pop up yet. Doesn’t matter as I have no intention of buying the premium star trek characters, but surprised not to have seen it!

  4. I didn’t have the money to get her within the 24hrs, so even though I have all the premium ST characters, I missed out on her. 😦 I missed it by like 12 hrs. Sad panda.

  5. Thanks to those suggesting sending Klingon Meg to Acapella, this has been successful so far and gives me hope I might get enough for Kirk.

  6. I’m wondering if there’s going to be another set of characters or costumes worth clams. Yeah, they just added the original crew collection, but they don’t have a collection of premiums to earn clams like every other event. Or do you think Meg’s costume just replaced the usual clam reward?

  7. You know what’s funny?
I bet, aside from what Bunny said about her being basically the free toy inside, is that it could also be the inside Meg joke.

    Meg is useless.
Therefore her new skin is useless.

Almost like another form of “Shut up, Meg”

  8. If you send her multiple times and she doesn’t bring back anything try sending her on a short task then back to a planet. Usually works for me.

  9. 1st attempt at Klingon Meg to Acapella; nothing.

Will keep posting updates as I keep playing. I have a lot of transporter energy.

  10. For what amounts to another premium character, that only those who are spending maximum amounts of in game money will get, I’m shocked by how little she does. Minor improvements in away missions, no items drops, and another Klingon who won’t fight Bertram? Feeling a little cheated by premiums characters this event.

    • She was Free, so not shocked she doesn’t do a lot. The benefit was more in the others you actually purchased. She was just a “free toy inside” type prize. She has been helpful to many in the Planets to get more Crystals.

      • Thanks for all your great work here Bunny! And I really am enjoying this event. I guess I just see her as “free” the way undercoating on a new car is free. I still had to buy a lot to get it. I’m probably just frustrated by having Worf drinking prune juice while a Borg is attacking in the holodeck.

        • Lol. I know. But I think they also were anticipating the issues at Christmas with using TOO many Premiums for the Yeti. People didn’t get passed all 5 levels. It was very difficult. So the Premiums have been focused mainly elsewhere this event. Giving Regular Player a chance at the final prize too. The Boss is a LOT of time and work to put in. This one so far, it is playing out so much better. 😉

When does this task come up. I have all three of the characters, will it still give me a chance to get her?

    • The “Visitors from Outer Space” quest will appear if you’ve completed “An Officer and an Idiot Pt. 6” and have purchased one of the three required characters (Worf, Guinan, or Q).

If it already popped popped up and the timer is gone, you won’t

  12. This doesn’t have anything to do with Meg, but I noticed they changed Khaaaaan! to just Khan. That’s a bummer! 😦

  13. I’m with Bunny on this one. Sending her Acapella every 4 hours has earned me by the most dilithium of anyone else. She’s brought back 750 dilithium at least 4 times, and 450 dilithium at least 3. I mean, I could have sent peter, but he’s still trying to earn those **** anti-virus programs for Data.

In this case, Meg, being useless means you have nothing better to do than send you on away missions. And for that, I’ve gotten more from you than anyone else. Here’s to uselessness!

I’m having the same success with her. She wasn’t doing anything useful, so last night I started sending her on this mission, and so far, she’s returned from every trip (by herself) wit either the 450 or 750 payout. Since I have almost 200 transporter energy stocked up, this is a no-brainer!!!

    • She hasn’t been much help to me. Lost count how many times I sent her to planets, only one time I got 450 crystals, all other times nothing, and now depleted of all my blue energy. It’s weird how each persons games differ.

    • Sent her three times today and got nothing, green crystals and then 450 Di. Yesterday and earlier she was able to pull even better Di amounts…

    • It took me about 7 or 8 trips of nothing for Meg to start paying out Dilithium, I done very well today,1650 total, but at 4 TE a pop I can’t keep it up for much longer before I run out and everyone that can earn TE is needed for other drops.

  14. Thankful to have her as I’m a completist and, compared to Kirk, I’m almost thankful that I was just able to get her without having to struggle like I currently am for these replicator characters. lol

Still I wish she would drop something useful. Or maybe help with Bertram. I just send her on her four hour task and ignore her until she comes around again even though I realize all Dilithium is old Dilithium at that point.

  16. Unrelated but I crafted 5 Romulan Ale Bars, they don’t require crystals and pay 20 every 16 hours. If you have a bunch of unused material you should try this, but I suggest holding off till the next phase. With 5 you can probably get 1000 in 8 days. They also give a lot of xp when crafted.

  17. When I started this event on the 12th I bought the 3 premium characters and got meg….so far she has done nothing beneficial I just continuously send her on the 2 hour quest for money. Hope she serves a purpose before event ends.
