With the Mobsters Event going now entering the final days, it’s time to take a look at the characters/costumes you could unlock ….
Detective Scrotes was added as a Character to the Mobsters Event in Week 5. Let’s take a closer look…
Detective Scrotes arrived in Quahog with the 5th week of the Mobsters Event 2015. In order to be able to get Him into your game, you had to first Complete Family Betrayal Part 1.
Then you would have triggered shortly after The Beginning of the End.
This task requires you to completely take down all FIVE of Don Corleone’s Henchmen (1x-5x Battles). At the Completion of the 5th Battle you will see the pop up of the payout for the 5x Battle, then quickly followed by the Completion of The Beginning of the End. You will see the Unlock of Detective Scrotes in the dialog Completion.
Once you “Claim Reward”, you will find Detective Scrotes hanging out in your Quahog Streets with an Unlock Icon over him.
Tapping on the Unlock Icon will bring him into your game.
He does come with a Questline, Scrotes McGoats, more details on it in another post.
Detective Scrotes’ is part of a new Character Group “Mafia Soldiers“. So as of right now winning him and completing the Collection with Diabeto, Cleveland Jr, and Mr Washee Washee can earn you 35 Clams.
Detective Scrotes does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn Gurl Scout Cookies and Fedoras (Mob Rep) for the Event.

**As you can see, these payouts are all over the place. They most likely will be changed.
***Manscape was changed to a Visual Task with the release of the Magic Mike Event.

I am so glad I read this info…….I was going to be about 3 hours short of getting scrotes. I looked and saw you get 35 clams for finishing the 4 characters. I will spend clams to finish him early and still come out a little ahead. I won’t be getting Mob Wife Bonnie or Trisha but that is ok as they are not a new character like scrotes. WOOOOOOHOOOOOO

Only character I wanted, but only unlocking Week 5 in 1 hour from now, even though I dedicated myself to playing the event through straight.

I was really hoping they would extend this by a week. I am never this far from completion! Even spending clams hasn’t helped much. I play every day multiple times so those who are completing are either rich or awake 24/7 LOL.

Looks like there won’t be an extension 😦 should be able to defeat the Don the last time tonight, only things I’m going to miss out on is Bonnie outfit and Trisha outfit.

Yay! I just unlocked Detective Scrotes! I won’t get Bonnie or Cleveland’s skin but I got a new character that makes me wanna laugh everytime I see him. So I’ll take it 🙂

PLEASE extend the event!!! The 4 hour wait period to defeat Corleone is KILLING me! I would GLADLY pay clams to speed it up, but i cant!! Im so dang close but timewise i think im just flat out screwed. TINYCO PLEASE EXTEND THE EVENT!!!!

Please please please PLEASE extend the event, TinyCo!! It’s completely impossible to complete the Whole storyline without using tons of clams on all the exclusive characters and Buildings. Since the event started, I have started the game every 4 hours to start missions, hire goons and whatever is available. And still I am only almost through week 4, still lacking funds to buy the Tricia outfit…
PLEEEEEASE extend!!! Also, the event is too fun and has too much potential to end it so abrubtly for so many users…

Great event but disappointing as well. I have never been so far away from completing most if not all quests, obtaining prizes, characters etc. the endless repetition of get 3 of these and then get 10 of these, and then 20… I mean, is that really necessary? I would need at LEAST another week if not 2 to get through this. Add in the fact that I bought 600 clams to help speed things up and I’m still where I am?

If I am already at 5x on the don before the mission for Scrotes triggers, do I have to wait for a 24 hour reset and go all the way back up again? Or will doing 5x again get him??

You need it to trigger first. So try to complete the Family Betrayal part 1 questline to trigger it.

Ok I have the mission for Scrotes triggered now…but I don’t know if I should go for the 2nd shot at 5x…or do I have to start back at level 1 after a 24 hour reset to get him??

Thanks Bunny…I guess that’s probably my only chance at this point, as it sounds like they are not extending the event. There’s no way I can reset for 24 hours and then run all the way thru five levels again by tomorrow afternoon. Might I add I’m pretty surprised they aren’t extending this event like they have so many times with other events, considering all the hang ups and glitches this one has provided. I’m still days behind and I am a religious player…primarily freemium…but I’ve even been getting up in the middle of the night to keep goons producing. LOL Oh well…better luck with the next event I guess. Love your guys site…I would never get half as far without it…thanks for all your efforts!

Im way behind because of the hang ups too. No lois, bonnie, consuela, or scrotes for me. Oh or tricia. I just cant get those 20000 cookies. 😦

Any tips on how to get girl cookies. I logged on to this game 4-6 times a day, just got lois but no chance of getting bonnie or trisha. There are so many side quests that I spent most of the goons time on them. There is also so many characters in the game who never give anything in these events, how can Brian and stewie not contribute?

I play all the time, every day, and still dont have the mansion upgrade or henchmen, Family Betrayal and The Beginning of the End have not triggered. Looks like I am not going to get a chance to get Scrotes!

What goons to I need to attack Don with in round 5? I’m waiting for the timer to tick down, but if I can get the goons going ahead of time that would be best.

With all the loading problems the game should be extended as there is still a ton of quests to finish . I have lost like a week from loading issues .

How many parts is his quest? On part 4 with a 16 hour Peter task now. Annoying they keep using people who are busy like Joe, Mr. Washee, etc in each part. Thanks

Oh they will extend it but only after i waste my cookies on mystery boxes. just to make sure I cant unlock anything I havent. I get on my game constantly throughout the day every day. This is the only event I have done horribly on.
I blame mostly the tubas, then it seemed there was a period i wasnt gettin as much mob rep/cookies at the rate i was before (with more characters available as well, confused how that happened.), then in the final days they changed nunchucks from always to common (why make it harder in the final days). Also it doesnt help when your goons disappear in crashes (and the action u had them doin acted like you never sent them on) or crashes cause the items to make goons dissappear and when you get back none of your goons are in the queue.
I have done better in events that I actually got locked out of the game for 2-3 weeks after a mid event update started makin it crash on the loading screen. I think the forcing you to unlock a character to move on in the event is really bad design, because of Tubas I had to focus on nothing but them to move on, only to find out after i finally unlocked that character they changed it so i didnt need him to move on. at this point i was a week behind. but then they kept requiring characters to be unlocked (albiet better drop rates) until I got to Lois… that chandelier has been brutal. Wont even make it to stage 5 this event.

Is there a pattern to which mobster you need to defeat the Don’s henchmen? I am on the second task. It was Yakusi first, and Luchadors now. Just wondering as it’d be nice to get a jump on the next three… Thx

I’m in x3 henchman right now. I dunno if it’s even possible to go x5, as I just upgraded the mansion recently and it’s ending in less than two days (hope they’ll extend it). I don’t have any of those cop goons so if it asks for those, I’m screwed anyways but quick question…If I start his quest, can I get him if I complete x5 or has Tinyco made completion of this event completely impossible without spending at least a hundred bucks? I played everyday constantly and bought 2 premium characters and the glitches, crashes, and everything they’ve screwed up had made it impossible.

Got Det. Scrotes last night! Glad he’s not a premium character! Keeping the streak going for more mob reps and cookies! Just going for Mob Wife Bonnie (already have the cookies and just need her other stuff) or Gangster Schoolgirl Tricia (got all her stuff but need 8K cookies). We’ll see if I can get either one before the end of the event or if not, just use up all my cookies on the Human Rupert Mystery Boxes! 😀

I haven’t been able to log into my game for 2 1/2 days. When I tap on the app icon it starts to log in but never finishes. It says “unfortunately family guy has stopped working”. Any ideas what I can do? I have an Android mini. But my tablet works fine. Just not my phone. Please help! I’m so frustrated

My note 4 decided it was done logging in this morning. I sent in the crash report. We’ll see if tomorrow brings any change. I completed the 5x defeat and the quest didn’t register completion. Very annoying for all this right here at the end. Completely killed my chance of squeaking up into the top 10,000 on the leader board where I’ve been hovering for a week. Ah, so close.
