It’s just about time to say goodbye to the lil friends. As the 3PM Pacific Timer is running down in our games, there are a few things you need to keep in mind…
MOBSTERS EVENT ENDS TODAY, JULY 9TH, 2015, @3PM PACIFIC
SPEND ALL EVENT CURRENCY
Event Currency is just that… currency ONLY for an Event. So when the Event goes, the Currency goes with it. So use up all the Gurl Scout Cookies you have left.
There are a LOT of cool looking Decoration options. Whether you want to try your luck in the Cookie Mystery Boxes or just outright purchase the items in the Decorations Tab (like the Bamboo and Cherry Blossom Trees), just use it or lose it when the Event goes.
Side Note: In order to be able to get MORE items, like the Trees and Bamboos, you will need to make sure all you have is IN your Quahog. That means you can’t have any stored away. The game is set up to avoid “accidental” duplicate purchase, so it will pull the items from your Inventory first, then allow you to purchase new ones once the Inventory is empty of that same item. So, if you have 100 Bamboo in storage and want more… you need to take the 100 Bamboo out of the Inventory Storage and place it in your town until you have purchased everything you want. Then you can Store it all again.
COMPLETE CHARACTERS
Any Character not fully unlocked and walking around your Quahog will go away when the Event does. This means for Characters like Diabeto, Jr, Mr Washee Washee, etc. ANY Character that all the items are not acquired for and not completed will all go when the Event Ends at 3PM.
It is at this point you need to ask yourself, is it REALLY worth it to you to spend Clams to complete them and get them into your game? Or will it be better to just let them go? What will you be happy with 3 months from now?
Any Characters/Costumes that you DO have fully unlocked and in your Quahog are yours to keep once the Event ends.
MAKE FINAL PURCHASES
Any Premium items you have been debating on need to be purchased prior to the Event Ending. So if you’ve been holding off on a Building or a Character like Mr. Miyagi, now is the time to make that final decision. What will make YOU happy to have in your town? What won’t matter and you can just let it go?
Any Buildings that you already purchased with Clams or Cookies will be yours to keep after the Event.
FINAL SPIN IN MYSTERY BOXES?
Keep in mind the Mystery Boxes from the Event go with the Event too, so if there was something in there that you had your eye on… make sure you make that final decision of what is worth it to YOU to try for and what can just be let go of.
FINISH QUESTLINES
Majority of the Questlines for the Event go when the Event does. This is mainly due to all the innerworkings of those Questlines require items that are only available within the Event (like Copahavan, Raids, Etc). So there will not be any further progress available for them after the Event.
A few may stick around, but this is usually just the Premium Characters that have an isolated side quest. Like Miyagi. We will know fully what stays once the Event ends.
DON’T WAIT!!
Give yourself enough time to complete all items. Do not put it off until the last minute as there always seems to be a rush in the game last minute and this can cause a lag. So don’t risk falling short on something if you are close. Finish it off or let it go.
MOB REP
If you are giving that final push to get ranked as high as you can, keep in mind that NO ONE will see any of Prizes until sometime next week. NO ONE has a specific date, time, or any further details on them beyond that. So there is no specifics to provide. When we see anything, you will see a post on our site about it.

Out of this entire event, I’ve loved loved loved the decos – the trees are tiny so you can stash them in small spaces. And they’re pink! Yay. The bamboo also takes little room but hides the ugly buildings you need in your town. I didn’t bother with Bonnie despite only missing her by two lipsticks and instead got the lovely gold origami bird for my “Little Tokyo”

Simpsons is different, it is an App Market pull and you can avoid it by turning off auto update and push an extra few days out of it. TinyCo is NOT like that. Once the changeover hits, a pop up actually goes up in your game forcing the update in game… not by app market… and you can’t continue until you update. At most… at some rare times… you MIGHT get up to an extra hour. But… majority of time… 3PM and it is all gone.

I was all set to purchase Tricia’s skin before the event ended and now I am locked out. I have tried on my phone and my tablet and both are crashing on the load screen. This is so frustrating. I really wanted that skin for Tricia. This has definitely been the most frustrating event so far.

Finished ranked in the low 20k’s, which I think is pretty good for a F2P player, but then I thought about it another way…I got Lois about 16 hours before the event ended…didn’t even start all the final week stuff and still finished that high up. Week 1 I was in the top 10k, but then the dreaded tuba’s got me (and I’m sure a lot of others) behind…Stewie was always my end goal though so no biggie. Shame I didn’t get to do more…I even had planned to finish Fight Cleveland, but then I lost a few days to game crashing. I’ll try to send in a ticket to TinyCO, but I’ve sent 3 in the past and only got 1 reply (A Halloween Bug, they replied in March lol) so I expect nothing…
Overall it was still fun. It’s nice seeing companies keeping the game busy…a lot get real stale real quick…

This was by far one of the best events in terms of concept, content and strategy but ranks among the worst in execution due to the failed coding for tuba drops and the many, many glitches. It really is unfortunate that TinyCo can’t do a better job following through on what it sets out to do on these events. I hope a district that is completely thought out is next and we can get a long break from events until TinyCo figures out how to actually have one operate.

I have been playing for over a year,I’ve played nearly all the events(I think my first was the full moon)each one I’ve enjoyed for different reasons weather I got the top prize or not,I was devastated not to get human Rupert first time around,but I was over the moon to get Cleveland in his event.ive got all the individual prizes this time and I’m about 17000 or so in the high score board ,so I ain’t done to bad but all that said I haven’t liked this event at all, why? Wheel I’ll tell you, 20000 cookies for trisha’s skin(the rest I got easyish) the undo able timed tasks(I couldn’t do any).What really annoyed me was the blatant cheating of some of my fb friends(?)how some of them piled on cookies at a stunning rate ,was no one watching? .i did like that not all the event buildings were clam purchases.The only up side was that as usual I had this site to go to for help and got to vent at least once a week,if only you two could make an event for us.

All I’m going to say is if I don’t get another Gold Cookie Truck to spawn in my town before 3pm today, I am driving up to San Francisco and expressing my frustration in person. I’ve had 6 goons wandering in search of that truck for over an hour (so it’s been 4+ hours since the last one spawned) and I’m only short 3 freaking boxing gloves for Cleveland’s skin. No option to bridge the gap with clams, either. I’ve made peace with missing out on week 5 stuff and being sadly short on cookies for multiple mystery box attempts, and even with losing my hard-earned leaderboard ranking. But by God, if I don’t get those last 3 boxing gloves because the trucks aren’t spawning like they should…..

Luckily, I didn’t have any of the lockout issues but I’m sad that I’m so close to getting Tricia…if only I had one more day (1500 cookies away). I did manage to get all the other characters except Cleveland and Brian. I guess I’ll spend all those cookies on the mystery boxes 🙂

I’m so glad this event is ending. I loved it when it started and hate it now. I spent some decent money on this event. I’ve had everything for tricia except the cookies for a couple of weeks and can’t get her, it’s not fun. Too many different goons to hire and too many things running around. They should have had just a new one a week. I’ve never seen a company that can take a game that’s suppose to be fun and an easy distraction and turn it into misery. TinyCo needs to wake up quick or this game is going the way of the dinosaurs.

I’m going to complete the main quest half an hour before the deadline, I will end with something like 18.500 cookies out of the 20.000 the I need for school uniform Tricia so… Unless you have an idea on getting 1500 cookies, I’ll use them for 18 boxes I guess, even if I lost 2 whole days because of the various bugs… Ma Tricia s costume is the only thing I won’t complete (sincv I didn’t spend any clam on this event I mean all I can do without spending them). Ps: Mob rep, something about 32.500, I’ll be 7.000th give or take

While I am sorry that there are people that had major issues and are unhappy, I am so glad this event is ending. Based on the comments I have seen, in every single posting, the only thing an extension would have done is create a whole new set of issues for people to be unhappy about!!
Even with all the glitches and issues, the concept of this event has been fun. If everything had worked as it was supposed to, the game mechanics were fun, too, except the goon creation process could use some tweaking. I liked the concept of the raids, but not so much the various characters that were constantly roaming the streets. I though having 4 chumba wumbas or a handful of dogs wandering the streets was annoying, but all the trucks, gurl scouts,couriers, etc was too much!
And ladies, as always, thank you so much for your time and effort. As I have said on several occasions, there is no way I could do what you do with the grace and patience you exhibit. I would have done a major rant accompanied by a fare thee well and a mic drop long ago! Take some well deserved time off and relax. Find your happy and then come back!

So glad it’s almost over. I have enough cookies right now to get either Tricia or Bonnies outfit, but still trying to decide which. I know that neither of them will probably be used again so I’m just not sure yet. I’m kind of leaning towards just getting Bonnie because I think the 20K cookies for Tricia is way too many when they didn’t provide a great way to rack up a lot of cookies this week. A lot of people weren’t even able to get to the week 5 content but the Don streak payout was not near enough for the amount of time it took without using clams to speed up the goons. It would have been nice to see the payout go up each time the streak was kept up after hitting the 5X. All things considered I think 10K would’ve been more reasonable for Tricias outfit.
I’m currently eligible for Prize 3 on the leaderboard but if I slide back to Prize 4 I am good with that since the bronze house doesn’t really interest me. After I choose between Bonnie or Tricia, whoever is left will be the only freemium earn-able character available that I didn’t get. I also got Consuela and did not have her in my game before. I did not buy any premium characters, and didn’t try to get Burn out Brian or Clevelands outfit. I used about 135 earned clams total on the event, 125 on the arcade for washee’s items and the rest for speeding up a few tasks. I did get 70 back between the individual prizes and one of the facespace groups. Could have had another 25 clams from the spooner street set if they had’t put Brian in there with them. Oh well.

I ended up just getting Bonnies outfit. Even though I had just enough, 20K cookies was just too much for Tricias. I also went ahead and used up the rest of the cookies I had. I tried my luck on the cookie mystery boxes and used the rest on a few decos.

I’m glad this event is ending because it was awful. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. It was like Murphy’s Law on overdrive. The only good thing I got out of it was Consuela for free and I still haven’t been able to get into the game since the 24 Don timer ran out.
I don’t know how locked out players are going to be able to start the next event since the game is built to load the current event before removing it, which is dumb. So until TinyCo fixes this load problem Android players are SOL.

I made that judgement call and let Mafia Bonnie go as only a skin that’s worthless post event. Bought some demos from mystery box instead and got boxing gloves for Cleveland skin in case I ever feel inclined to drop four hundred clams on the main character

I have been battling the brewery in parallel with this event using the main characters that were not able to earn cookies.

I am still having PTSD about the Brewery, and I just finished it in the middle of this event. I was working on the Brewery during three different events! There is no “getting it out of the way with little ease” It takes a long time, but at least, there are few characters that are impacted, but just know, you will be in it for the long haul! *chuckle*

I finished the brewery during this event! The happiest day of my life. I was so tired of having to grind for coins to purchase things I didn’t want! I was lucky during the Mobster event. I was never really locked out and was able to unlock everything I wanted.

Ya pretty much the same here with my catkids lol. I landed up getting the Spoiled Chihuahua on my 3rd try with the freemium box which I really wanted so after that decided to treat myself to the Persian Cat and put them side by side 🙂 Didn’t get everything I wanted with the event but happy overall, with what I got.

I wish I could spend all my cookies.. I wish I could of completed all the characters..I wish I could finish the quests..But alas I can’t because of the Android issues, locked out for a week and no Apple product to try Bunny trick. I was in the 5000 ranking group, Bronze House, and now I be lucky if I got Stewie, that’s if I may get anything if I ever get back in. I would of been able to finish and got Bonnie and Tricia outfits. Spent a decent amount of $$$ also and not a peep from TinyCo addressing the issues, at least on their FB page. *sigh* very sad here as I feel I got ripped off for my entertainment.. 😦

I agree, this has been very poorly handled with all of the crashing issues. I am still about 4 hours away from unlocking week 5, was just never able to catch up after the issues up front. I even sent them a very detailed message regarding the issues I was having in the first two weeks and never got a response. They need to extend this event for two weeks to allow everyone to try and catch up. I just hope they don’t decide to tell us that they are extending at 3:01 when we’ve all spent all of our cookies t ring to beat the clock………

hey there. they obviously haven’t learnt because I saw the same flaws as the star trek event. it was quite hard to do a lot of the goon hiring and running the obstable courses along with getting characters. I was in the game 4-5 tiems a day and only today unlocked some of the characters. I wanted the tricia outfit. I got all the items except I am short 16000 cookies.

i am happy the event is ending. I am far behind on earning some of the stuff. just got Cleveland skin this morning. there has been so much to do. I am in at least 4-5 times a day and still have not been able to get everything. I was not using clams this time around.
one thing I know forsure though is that as of 6 pm Don Corleone is gonna hit the nuclear button on the build screen for me. my town is so full I cant even see the tiny little pixels on the screen anymore. its time to wipe the town clean and start rebuilding…(homer would be so happy from TSTO 🙂 )
And as Don Corleone presses the nuclear button on my town at 6PM est today (3PM pst) he is going to look Peter in the eye and say…..”You should of burned down the clam when I told you too” LOL !!!!

I’ll be mildly interested to see where I end up. I busted my butt to stay around 25-30k but this event was impossibly hard. I only ever spent cookies when the game told me to and I was STILL nowhere near 20k for Tricia. I’ve had all of the other stuff for her for a week.
I mean, it’s all moot since I haven’t been able to log in since Monday so… I guess I get what I get but I guarantee I will never buy more clams. I usually drop $10 once, maybe twice, per big event (even more during Star Trek) but what’s the point of that now? I can’t even come close to completing quest chains as it is logging in every 2-3 hours for a month.

I wish they extended the event. I have logged on every hour, spent a lot of clams, and am way behind. The problems collecting items on week one set me back, and I have been desperately trying to catch up. I only started the final week yesterday.

I just got Consuela and Detective Scrotes at the exact same time because I had about 17,000 mob rep and the attack on Don Corelone was my 5th and it gave me 900 mob rep (including the quest line to get Detective Scrotes) which was way more than I needed to unlock Consuela. So excited! 🙂

The decos are paying out fedoras for me as of a few minutes ago. I did the Bunny trick (thanks, Bunny!) and have all of them stuffed into my town until the end of the event (none in storage). I’ve been buying them all day, as soon as I accumulate enough cookies from buildings and characters, just in case disaster strikes. Waiting for the final run on the Don at 2:45pm PDT, when my cops have all incubated, hope nothing awful happens that close to the end. Then I quick buy my last decos with the 1000 cookies. I’ll have to hide somewhere in case someone comes to the door around that time…. 🙂

Ya been locked out of the game since about 7am today. So wont be getting mobster bonnie even after spending 50 clams last night to speed things up to finish in time, wont be able to spend any of the 15k in cookies on mystery boxes and wont finish the couple of quests i was finishing up. What a waste! After spending all that time playing catch up after being locked out in week one. Its a serious let down!

Unfortunately my event ended 8 hours ago when my game started crashing on the login screen. Luckily I have managed to catch up this week and unlock Lois and Bonnie (with the help of your excellent walkthroughs), but my 10,000 cookies will go to waste. Hopefully I will still get Stewie’s skin as I have been hovering around 12,000 on the leaderboard.
I’ve contacted Tinyco but don’t expect a response for a couple of weeks going on previous problems.

I agree. I too never made it to week 5 content, and I was soooo close to getting Lots but it looks like I won’t make it. But it was fun, and as a freemium player I’m just happy with the little that I was able to get!

Whereas I would have liked an extension, I am glad we have at least been given a definate no and that the event will end on time as Bunny predicted. I feel safe to use up my cookies now without waiting until the last minute, when the rush sometime causes server issues. It’s been a long, tough event that has seen a lot frustration unleashed here, with that in mind I want thank Bunny & Alissa for their continued dedication to trying to help players and improve the game. I know it must seem like a thankless task at times so as I say I want say big thank you as we say goodbye to this event that went a bit haywire.

Only 4 hours of event left I’ve got enough cookies to unlock either bonnie or tricia, and here I am locked out cuz the game crashes yet again when I try to log in. Epic Fail on this event from tiny co thus far only good part is Bunny and Alissa doing their best to keep us updated so I’m thankful for that.

But most, I would have liked to be allowed to play through the event, finish the game, main quest etc. Now all feels pointless. Unfinished. They could just freeze the leaderboard, give out the prices an let people finish. Casually.

That’s a great idea! This whole event has been so rapid fire. It seems that every event has either been miss managed by tiny Co in terms of level of effort vs time allotted, or just a massive money grab asking for clam purchases at every turn to have any chance. I’m just done. It was fun to have a tiny quahog but it feels more like a chore And impossible task without paying ‘the tiny co fee’

I had saved up 200 and got mr Miagi and that’s it. I think it’s mathematically impossible to do the events now without dropping at least 20 bucks per. As a day one player I think I’m just done with this relentless grind and cash grab.

Kind of bummed that the game kept pitching me out. I never got a chance to make it to week 5 content let alone unlock Lois, Bonnie, Tricia, or Scrotes. I did however get Consuela so things aren’t a total loss. Wish the event got an extension like the Star Trek event but it has been fun.
