I have been seeing lots of you bouncing around the comments a little lost on the Honey and the Swarms of Bees. No worries, here to help as usual.
Figured I would bounce on by to offer some clarification on the Bees. Let’s take a Look.
First up, the Basics. The Bees and all involved with the Bees are part of Phase 2. So in order to even be able to get to all things Bee related, you need to get to the Phase 2 Content. This means you need to have completed Phase 1 Main Questline, PeterPalooza Part 7.
Next you need to get far enough into Phase 2 content to reach all involved with the Bees. This is in the Festival Fail Questline. Part 3 starts walking you through the Bee process. You will need to complete all of Part 3 in order to see everything that will be available in your game for the Bees.

HONEY TASKS
In order to help you locate ALL available Honey Tasks, here is the breakdown.

So now you can see what Buildings need to be in your game in order to get these tasks and what Characters you can use for them.
OTHER HONEY OPTIONS
If you want to splurge some Clams and add another item to your game, you can pick up as many Beehive Trees as you want.
Beehive Tree: 160 Clams, Pays Out 15 Glowsticks
& 35xp, and 1 Honey every 10hrs
WHAT DO I NEED HONEY FOR?
The Honey will be then used to hire a Beekeeper for the game. They can be hired to Train over at the Event Staff Tent.
Beekeeper: Requires 1 Honey to Train, takes 45 mins to Train
WHAT DO I NEED BEEKEEPERS FOR?
Beekeepers help to get rid of the Swarms of Bees in the game. There are Swarms of Bees chasing the Hippie looking Girls running around your Quahog Streets.
HOW MANY BEEKEEPERS CAN I HAVE?
You start with a Capacity of 4 MAX Staff you can Train and have wandering your town total.
If you want to increase that amount, you will need to purchase the Ranger Station. It will increase your Staff Capacity by +2. Giving you a total of 6 MAX Capacity.
Ranger Station (Decoration): 175 Clams
Once you reach the MAX Capacity, you will need to use that Staff in your game before you can Train anymore.
WHAT DO I GET FROM HIPPIE GIRLS?
By using Beekeepers to clear the Swarm of Bees off of the Hippie Girls, you in turn will get either 2 Skull Guitar Picks
or 1 Hacky Sack
(for Rapper Brian).
Once you have all the Hacky Sacks you need for Rapper Brian, you will then only see Skull Guitar Picks drop from Clearing the Swarms of Bees off of the Hippie Girls.
WHAT IS THE SPAWN ON HIPPIE GIRLS?
You will get them appearing every 3hrs in your game. Up to 9 MAX will show up in your game at a time.

- Use Beekeepers to Clear Swarms of Bees

I need help! I absolutely can not make bee keepera. I have almost 100 honey. Have been emailing Tinyco over and over since the bees appeared earlier in the event. Nothing is fixed. I have maxed out as far as I can go in the event. All I ever get is an error code then kicked off.

Should the beekeeper’s be dropping glow sticks? My first 2 beekeepers cleared their swarms of bees and only dropped glow sticks (and also didn’t fill the quest requirment to “clear a swarm of bees”) third beekeeper finally dropped guitar picks and moved my quest forward, but the next 2 beekeepers again just dropped glow sticks. Seems like a lot of work just to get glow sticks!

They drop both. Then the new dark hair ones for Phase 3 will have more options too. You really get your main source of glowsticks from Concerts

Just got a popup when I started the game warning me that I had less than a day to get Brian. But I started phase 2 late and my Brian timer says I have 4 days and 7 hours left. I guess they sent out a general warning to everybody, assuming everybody started phase 2 on time rather than linking it to the actual timer. I’ll have him soon since I am within an hour of the first concert (hopefully) and I just need three tickets, but still… Brief moment of panic there!
I won’t let Lois swat bees until I’ve finished the concert and some encores, hopefully that will keep me from entering phase 3 today. I like to let you all be the guinea pigs anyway… Meanwhile I’m enjoying the beekeepers and that look of relief on the girls’ faces when the bees are captured and they can finally stop running! I assume that when they poof out, they’re going home to bed for a long rest.

Correct. No worries. Essentially letting people know to check their timers as those may be getting REALLY close to expiring and Phase 3 is coming soon.

Still getting hacks sack drops despite fulfilling the amount requirement days ago… Can’t seem to get guitar picks to drop at a decent rate and because of that I can’t get enough to even get the requirements for a concert let alone any of the timed outfits.

I alerted them on it. Try the “secret” concerts if needed. It loads you up on Glowsticks and Picks. 😉

Just wondering if it’s normal to have cleared about 50 hippie chicks without a single hacky sack. Why do I have to pay 350 clams for Brian when I only have 6 hacky sacks left and I have everything else? And I’m sorry 0/50 is not rare, that’s extra rare or epic.

While I needed hacky sacks, the bee girls were dropping them every other clear so it was 50:50.

I have had this part open for days and my game has only one beekeeper unlocked and there is no indication of how to open the other three beekeepers, Help please?

Is anyone else unable to get into the game this morning (UK time)? I am just seeing the Consuela connect error on both of my android devices, even after installing the new update.

Did the Android update and now as soon as i try to start my game it says connection error before the yellow bar even starts loading. Done the usual things to try and fix the issue but no luck. Any idea if this is a android wide or maybe just me? Thanks

Tried to log on into the game today and got Consuela not connecting me to the server. Downloaded the update, because I figured it’s not working without the new content. But still Consuela 😦 I’m a little panic-y bc I only have like two days for Rapper Brian and I’m afraid to be locked out of the game…

Good morning,
anyone else having trouble getting into the game since the last update? I’m in the Netherlands, when I start the game I only see Consuela popping up with the message “Could not connect to server”.
I just hope this will be solved soon. No need until the next phase is starting, got rapper Brian and Irie Joe yesterday thanks to the hidden concert trick. Also got all the items that needed guitar picks. Now it’s just waiting for the next challenge.

It is 2:26 a.m. EST for me and I’m getting a cannot connect to server error when I’m trying to load. Wondering if anyone else is having issues. I emailed Tinyco but it is late so I know there will be no reponse until later in the day. I did install the latest update btw.

I’ve updated the game (android) ans now every time I’m trying to start the game, I’m getting a connetion error. Already send TinyCo an e-mail. 10min later I’ve already got a reply. They are looking in to it (at least my game) Anyone else having this problem?

hello. thanks for all the great info. you guys rock! and your patience seems infinite. OR you have a punching bag near the keyboard. kudos, either way. i cannot find a counter for picks. it’d be nice to know how many i have. (its prob so obvious, i’ll feel like a fool when you point it out.) also, is there a reward for purchasing all the related merch in the kiosk? (other than completing unleash the lion pt.2)

I finally got a bank of 4 honey pots in addition to the 4in hire, I’ve typically only been getting 3 of 5 in the tasks so been making bee keepers and using them faster than i get honey. Took few days but i finally cleared keeper tasks and got hackey sacks.
Im still cranking and getting nada on the petchulie oil! :(. ( Tuba’s anyone?)
No concerts from joe’s blocking the stage, so few more naked deaf guys for tickets and I’ll have Brian! And likely before joe lion!

I’ve been stockpiling Honey since I’ve unlocked Rapper Brian. You never know how much Honey or Glowsticks will be needed especially when freemium. It was a major pain to get items to hire Goons during the Mod Event and I don’t want that to happen again.

They’re dropping coins when cleared for me. According to support, they’re supposed to drop coins.

I’ve got the required hacky sacks for rapper Brian but occasionally they still drop; not often but they still drop.

The hacky sacks kept dropping until I created Rapper Brian. I think it’s a bug mentioned elsewher.

Yes, I confirm this. But once I completely unlocked Brian, they have only dropped picks for me. I have not collected all the decorations that require picks just to stock pile them… just in case 😉
